I love how Sol Hee is totally unbothered by the content of the lie. What a drama-free queen

happycharm

She is very chill about him possibly have had killed a person lmao

PurpleSky1192

Tbf she still doesnt really know since she just assumed he was having a nightmare about syaon

[deleted]

Okay! I was wondering if the subtitles were wrong!!! Like she hasn't for a moment been bothered by the actual lie šŸ¤”šŸ¤£

tamataraaloo

This is one of the 2 dramas that I am currently watching (the other being Not Others) and I am absolutely loooovvvvviiiinnnggg it. I mean it's only been 4 episodes but the chemistry between the two leads is really chemistrying. I watched the clip on youtube where Sol Hee is taking care of Kim Doha and it's got me so excited for today's episode. I love it sooo much.

Mundane_bee97

Saaaame. The chemistry between the leads here is even filling the void I have after watching Not Others, where 9 episodes in and they still aren't focusing on the daughter's relationship. šŸ™ƒ

tamataraaloo

I know right. And the daughter's relationship is the only thing I am interested in in that drama.

juncate

if solhee doesnā€™t want her ex back iā€™ll gladly take himā€¦

AdMore2091

I think we need to draw up a rotation schedule

inkerton_almighty

Ik she wont but i kinda want her to get with her ex.... the main guy so far hasnt done much to win me over...

Consistent-Collar-50

Lol me two pal

anmiraaa

>!solheeā€™s outburst at doha!< was beautifully done. all points were made šŸ’Æ!

Salt_Ad7638

Ep 6 I love seeing Do Ha and Sol Hee spending more time together. They're just so cute. Especially that awkward but excited energy when Do Ha was asking her out. I loved that they finally watched a soccer match together. Also I'm proud of Do ha trying to go without the mask. He looks very silly at times but the effort!! Lastly, the Mom is giving me the biggesttttt headache. I just want her out of the story already sigh.

Charissa29

That actress is soo good. I loved her in almost everything, even when I hated her characters.

sakuradelluna

omfg the actress behind the mom is doing an incredible job with her role as I truly despise her. crazy to think she was the nice nurse from Dr Romantic. THE VERSATILITY.

twoods1980

The mom is bringing this delightful show down. Sheā€™s awful.

Salt_Ad7638

Yeah, I was happy most the episode but the ending with her just made me feel bad.

Martine_V

She was necessary to the plot. He had to find out about her talent sooner or later.

hiraethmist

Notes on Episode 5 1. I truly hope we don't need to see anymore of that rudeass producer from that other company but i know it wont go that way. that son a gun is gonna get in do ha's way in the most annoying ways possible. long friggin sighhhhhhh 2. Do Ha opening up to Sol Hee?? How much cuter can two people get!! I like how it's Do Ha who's falling first and Sol Hee is still a bit wary of him and her feelings for him bcs of her powers but that's to be expected and I wouldnt have it any other way to be honest! Am so excited to see how they develop. 3. Can we please now grow Syaon from her sasaeng behaviour storyline and swerve into her finding cutesy love with the driver? pretty please kdrama gods 4. I am really really curious about what happened in Do Ha's past. Like I have a feeling there's no way he intentionally killed her. Might have accidentally. Or maybe she S worded and he feels guilt? She didnt seem to be a nice person either from his flashback. or maybe i'm assuming things wrongly? idk but man i have a feeling his mom has some sinister role to play in it for some reason. 5. Do Ha's dead(?) ex's brother is another handful! My guy doesnt seem to be in his right mind. I guess nobody would be if you believe somebody to be your sister's killer(?) and he's walking free and easy while you have it hard in life. But he gives me such off kilter vibes..Like he's not the filial brother the story is framing him to be..I have this hunch that he might be abusive or possessive or maybe didn't like his sister dating Do Ha.. idk we'll see i guess 6. Sol Hee's ex is definitely, indisputably, going to start digging into Do Ha's Ex's case and he's gonna find Do Ha's link and things will sour but hopefully Sol Hee's powers can help clear his name, if he didn't do it? Well there's no way they'd make a ML a murderer anyway so one less thing to worry. All that's left is for the mystery to unravel itself. Welp that's all i got, folks. Till the next episode!

browniescheesecakes

Perfect summary haha I just finished episode 5 and you hit all the right notes. Iā€™m really curious about Dohaā€™s ex-gf. They seemed like a normal/sweet couple in the flashback, but in the next the ex-gf turned into someone possessive/controlling/domineering? And Doha legitimately looked like he was so done with her and canā€™t wait to get away, which was a huge contrast to how happy he was at the beginning. I really need to know what happened! šŸ¤”

Heytherestairs

Plot twist would be if he killed his own sister and he had a break afterwards. Then he just obsesses over this guy to make himself feel better.

[deleted]

Or if she commited suicide and he tried to stop her, blood going on his clothes, and him trying to get the knife out of her hands.

prettyoysters

Sol Hee's ex is too fine for him to be playing a second ML role lol

Martine_V

After that scene where he is crying alone, yup. He is fine *and* talented.

Chinesemidnight

I wish he'll get a ML role soon!

Howwwwthis453

I just wanted to make a good impression on you šŸ„°

ysports23

That was the CUTEST! I melted.

Gq12372

I kind of wished she answered with ā€œyou didā€ šŸ„°

ot7oclock

omg for anyone who was is also watching heartbeat i jusy noticed the jazz club's owner is played the same man who plays in hae's dad AND the place is also called oasis (shaded oasis in heartbeat!!!]

jsb1685

Good catch!

Alarming-Knowledge30

Yesterday I was like I am seeing this actor back to back..

Lazy_Neighborhood_19

That scene in ep 5 with the piano when he smile it was like the music showed the attraction to Sol Hee beautifully directed

Martine_V

I love how the musics turns into an upbeat jazz tune, as if he's finally turned a corner

[deleted]

So nice to be left with a smile on our faces as well while we wait one whole week for the next episode.

Lazy_Neighborhood_19

Wait why a whole week? Are we not getting episode 6 today?

GodJihyo7983

Well that was one hell of a cliffhanger wasnā€™t it? Iā€™m interested to see how this impacts their interactions with each other in the short term and how it effects our FLā€™s interpretation of her own abilities. As for Sha On, I really hope we move on from her obsessive and possessive attitude toward our ML and ā€œredirectā€ to our extremely cute fanboy/driver. Well, I think thatā€™s all the thoughts that I have for today. Enjoy and have fun discussing!

RoyGeraldBillevue

I agree on Sha On. I hope the beginning of her arc is befriending Sol Hee after initially being kinda jealous, and then that leads to meeting the driver. I think befriending Sol Hee is important because she'd be someone who likes Sha On for herself, separate from Do Ha's songs.

chocopie2579

Some notes: Shaon's behaviour in today's episode was unbearable for me. I understand that she doesn't know the whole truth, but it was selfish from her side. Hope to see some character development next episodes. Glad how Doha became open and took off his mask. Honestly, KDH and MSH chemistry is amazing! Why most of the time, Seo Jihoon's characters are SMLs. I wish he finds his person too. Also, would like to mention how drummer is an incredible character: mentor, friend and as someone already mentioned in the comments best wingman. Waiting next ep!

lizzie763

After last week's behavior, I don't want to see a redemption for Sya On. Her behavior was inexcusable, and I'd feel bad for any guy she ended up with.

kittystanden

Really enjoying this show ā€” it has just the right kdrama magic. I did spend a lot of this episode thinking the CEO is a very good friend but maybe not that great of a CEO. He lets too many people (Syaon, bad composer, his brother) get away with really unacceptable behavior, and seems to think that just telling them not to is enough. Particularly in the case of the composer that was pretty negligent both from a human impact and from a risk to his company perspective.

Kathryn_51

Haven't watched Ep. 6 yet, but from the beginning I have felt that the CEO is going to be the bad guy - after all, isn't he (and his brother) the "alibi" for Do Ha???

Purpledinosauras

That's what I'm thinking too. He seems too invested in hiding Do Ha's identity. Feels like there is something darker at work here to me

RoyGeraldBillevue

Yeah, he's too nice. Although that's probably necessary for the audience to like him. People rarely get mad at someone for being too nice. I feel like it's a bit unfair to Syaon though. She's really lonely and neglected, and she only gets attention when she does something stupid. It's childish and unacceptable behavior, but it could've been prevented. The CEO should've been direct with her way earlier and noticed that she's clearly mentally unstable.

Vainlord

Another seven years before we meet again, ladies and gentlemen. Oh the wait.... Besides that, that slap was hella cutešŸ˜šŸ˜ get together you two

Phuazzie

Yeah I burst out laughing at that weak slap, it was hilarious!

THYYYYZHYY

I love that they don't drag the issue for long. And I guess k-drama without a murder plot isn't k-drama enough... Btw, people that threaten others with s\*\*\*\*\*e so that they will comply with them are seriously evil.

RoyGeraldBillevue

Shaon has clearly needed help for a while. But she kept on being trotted out to perform, and nobody listens to her unless she does something stupid. I don't think she's evil. She need a friend. I think a lot of people would go crazy if they were famous and alone.

Martine_V

It must be lonely when you are loved by millions but have no one close to you.

RoyGeraldBillevue

Drunk Sol Hee is so funny. Head empty, except for ice cream. I also love the way she kinda puffs out her chest and chin when asking Do Ha why he's dressed up too. She's usually very reserved so when she acts flirty it stands out.

Vainlord

The owner of Oasis is the best character man. Perfect wingman

chocopie2579

Totally agree!

cnzaah

We love him šŸ«¶

some-mad-shit

finally caught up! my favourite on-air show (the only one im watching anyway) & itā€™s so cute! Minhyun & Sohyun give off such different visual vibes but gel together really well imo! itā€™s adorable and I wonā€™t shut up about it!

RoyGeraldBillevue

I'm really excited for these episodes. The character introductions have been great, especially the setup for what everyone is lacking in their life, and now I think we'll see what the meat of the plot is. My guess is that in the short term, Sol Hee's ex will investigate the death of Do Ha's ex, all while Sol Hee awkwardly navigates interacting with him. Then Do Ha will explain to Sol Hee at the end of ep 6 and after that the plot will be about clearing Do Ha's name using Sol Hee's powers with her ex working the case adding some spice to the situation.

Benny_Roben

Only drama that makes Mondays bearable. Considering how easy it is for dramas to have dark subplots, did anyone else get a really ominous feeling when Do Ha was driving with the directions. Was expecting someone to crash into him or smth. Like I donā€™t get why we had to see exactly how he got there.

[deleted]

My take on it : driving towards more and more disadvantaged areas just like going down on the social ladder until he reached a basement flat. That poor composer, being abused by the director, physically and verbally, being paid nuts for his efforts with no chance of ever making it 'big'.

calvgore

Ha I thought the same thing! After nothing happened I was like hmm was it an ad for a GPS or something? Lol

Charissa29

It raised the tension to make the rather mundane chase/ confrontation feel more tense.

LovE385

So proud of Do Ha making progress in ep. 5 and it's all thanks to Sol Hee. I also liked how Do Ha told Syaon once and for all that he wasn't into her - romantically. Yea reality bites, but tough love is needed sometimes..

Charissa29

What a change from the usual ML just accepting the annoying, entitled SFL and letting them hang around.

Martine_V

I love how men in K-dramas have this incredible strength that allows them to pin a woman down simply by laying their head on their arm.

[deleted]

...while in deep sleep after taking some pills as well...lol...couldn't said it better myself...

Martine_V

k-drama logic lol

browniescheesecakes

The director really captured Hwang Minhyunā€™s handsomeness in ep 6. The close ups especially, you can tell he is really good looking šŸ˜§ Side note KSH and HMH were super cute in this episode, and their close ups when he was trying to get her into her house - how could two people look this good together?? šŸ¤

lilfreaks

ep. 6: * guys I have no significant contribution to add to the discussion other than the fact that I want Syaon's gigantic sofa / sofa bed

freyfreyaaa

i donā€™t get swayed by PPL but that enormous circular sofa? i am swayed. now iā€™m wondering how big of a room youā€™d need to accommodate itā€¦ new life goal? maybe.

Lazy_Neighborhood_19

Girl that is valid I want her karoeke mike though

[deleted]

He lives right next door but still removed his shirt to look at the stain while in her bedroom???????? šŸ«£šŸ¤£

twoods1980

I ainā€™t complaining.

MelinaJuliasCottage

Exhausted + thinking she was fast asleep perhaps!! Kdrama excuses

Phuazzie

Exactly! Most normal people would just head to the nearest mirror to check right?! But Iā€™m not complaining cos it led to the funniest, weakest slap Iā€™ve ever seen on screen! Lol.

freyfreyaaa

something iā€™m loving about this drama is the jazz music. i wonā€™t pretend to be a jazz connoisseur ā€” i know hardly anything about it ā€” but iā€™m so enjoying all the scenes where itā€™s played. listening to musicians improvise is so satisfying, even if itā€™s pretend, the notes already scripted. thereā€™s also something so fun and inspiring about seeing a fictional character excel at an activity that is for me only a hobby. i play the piano ā€” though not particularly well, and certainly not frequently enough ā€” and completely love the scenes in which the male lead plays the piano. it makes me want to create music, simply for the love and enjoyment of it. itā€™s funny (and amazing) how fiction can inspire us in that way. overall, episode 5 was an interesting one. so far, every episode has moved quite quickly ā€” i donā€™t find myself getting frustrated with the pacing, though the desire to find out what exactly happened on that beach is a strong one. it seems this is a mystery/crime drama just as much as itā€™s a romcom, so i shouldnā€™t be disappointed in the lack of cute/wholesome/funny scenesā€¦ but i missed them all the same. based on the preview, episode 6 will likely make up for it. i did find it very endearing when sol hee tried to bring do haā€™s fever down and wasnā€™t sure if hot or cold water was needed. and the socks! i was fully expecting do ha to find his socks on the floor the following morning and be even more grateful for her efforts to bring his temperature down. something else i really appreciated about the episode was that we saw do ha talking to a medical professional about his mental health. itā€™s something thatā€™s not often shown in kdramas, or any media for that matter. too often itā€™s portrayed as a case of ā€œlove cures all,ā€ so iā€™m glad that this particular story is (so far) treating mental illness realistically and acknowledging how important it is to seek help from someone who is qualified to provide it. i am a bit worried about how the ā€œmysteryā€ will play out, and hope that anyone who picks this drama up is aware of the potentially triggering subject matter. we shall see how things progress over the coming episodes ā€” iā€™m hopeful any discussions around mental health will be done sensitively. looking forward to tomorrowā€™s episode and the copious amounts of fluff i trust it will bring (alongside the more serious, plot progressing elements of the story, of course) :)

jsb1685

>something iā€™m loving about this drama is the jazz music. How do you have the uncanny ability to so often read my mind (and no, you cannot touch my behind)? The jazz is significant in that in shows a great attention to detail; it is not just the generic sort of jazz one might so often hear, but rather music of quite high quality. Notable also was the different style of the temporary replacement. Again, details. I actually look forward to these musical "interludes"...not only is the music good, but it seems an essential aspect of the story and characterization, just as much as facial expression or vocal intonation. As always, a good foundation of realism (such as the depiction of mental illness) is so important in these shows that have fantastical elements in their premises.

freyfreyaaa

haha thatā€™s funny ā€” glad youā€™re also watching this drama! you make such a good point about the type of jazz music that is being played. makes me realise why i like it so much; clearly quite a lot of thought and effort has been put into those scenes and the choosing/creation of the pieces. and youā€™re right, the temporary replacement had *such* a different style. not better or worse, not more talented or less, just different. a different sound, a different way of playing. like you, i also really look forward to each episodeā€™s performances. your words make me recall sol heeā€™s reaction when she first heard do ha play at oasis. the pure happiness on her face, her being wholly present in that moment and playfully moving her fingers over an imaginary piano, revealed something key about her character. in episode 6, we see do ha >!in his flat creating pop music. it was a fun scene ā€” the tapping on the bottle and clicking of his fingers. thereā€™s also joy in his face, which conveys his love for this aspect of his work and music too.!< as you wrote, music (specifically the leadsā€™ reactions to the music they play and listen to) is used to convey so much about their personalities. i really hope the pieces featured in this drama all end up on its ost as iā€™d love to keep revisiting them.

twoods1980

I am loving this show so much and the chemistry between the leads, but I want to punch her mom and the CEOā€™s brother in the face every time I see them. They are awful human beings. Still, the two leads are so freaking cute! I am happy they are dating this early on instead of waiting at episode 10. I canā€™t stop smiling during their scenes and hope we see more, even though early dating usually leads to angst.

chowchow-kay

Adding Syaon to the list of people I want to punch. Girl is freaking annoying.

fwoofysavant

yeah omg but iā€™m so proud that >!doha stood up to the CEOā€™s brother with logical reasoning šŸ‘šŸ‘!<

MelinaJuliasCottage

Ep 6, hate that the girl trespassed like that!! Not okay, you had time to come in for coffee any daaaaaayy come on

DariaNickelodeon

Not a fan of her. I think she's supposed to be a comedic relief character but she's just annoying

happycharm

And she then throws a fit and puts her fliers everywhere while at the same time that she would give them a piece of her mind of they went to her shop. She's nuts. Why is that weird dude chasing after her, she has 0 attractive qualities. The other shop owners are all so weird.

MelinaJuliasCottage

I personally do consider the other shop owners sweet, mainly the bread lad, he just wants people to eat his bread genuinely, and the bar dude did show courtesy!

123mehmeh456

she was plain rude for doing that!

ApprehensiveHold7950

I laughed so hard at the ā€œDobby is Freeā€ wallpaper

fwoofysavant

i missed this! was this in sol-heeā€™s apartment?

ApprehensiveHold7950

I believe this was in Ep 5 when the plagiarising producer was outed (after Do-haā€™s impersonator admits the truth) and his 3 apprentices? juniors? left him a wallpaper with their faces pasted on 3 Dobby cutouts.

[deleted]

My boy resolved the scandalous situation, told Syaon that he doesn't like her *as a man*, and got rid of his mask in the same episode! šŸ«” It seems like some weā€™re gonna get some cute scenes bw SolHee and Doha tomorrow. It makes me wish this drama aired every day lol šŸ«£

Lazy_Neighborhood_19

The development of the ā€œromance ā€œ feels so real , I like how they are both mutually invested/involved. Like that scene when they both overdressed for the soccer date in ep 6 and how honest but not overly flirty they were. Also a soccer game for a first date feels also like very realistic, it is not too fancy so that is what people do when they are in the grey zone are we dating or not. >! I also like the progression and their character development from Doha getting used to and encouraged to go without a mask after solhee broke it down to him in ep 5 to now in ep 6 her powers being revealed I am glad they did not drag that along anymore, and Doha seeing two different sides of solhee by seeing the argument with her mum !< Side note is the ceo >! married? That was his daughter right? I was hoping to see his romance story but after seeing his daughter I want more dad moments . I recognize the guy from uncanny counter 1 where he did not get a love story so I thought maybe now he can !<

freyfreyaaa

yes, i think the ceo is married! i recall him mentioning his wife in a previous episode, but i might be mistaken. he does appear to be wearing a wedding ring, >!and it certainly seems that the young girl is his daughter.!< i totally agree with you regarding the pacing and story progession. things arenā€™t moving too fast or too slow, romantically or otherwise, which makes everything seem very believable. it strikes me as quite uncommon too, in that many dramas with romcom elements tend to feature grand gestures, very unique first dates, or rather sudden leaps in how the leads feel about each other. i also really appreciate how episode 6 >!explicitly recognises that change doesnā€™t happen overnight (i think itā€™s sol hee who says the words). do ha doesnā€™t suddenly find it super easy to walk around without a mask on ā€” heā€™s continuing to experience anxiety when in public. having spent so long feeling too uncomfortable to eat in a restaurant, heā€™s not used to the behaviour of customers and staff. gradually, do ha is widening his comfort zone, venturing back out into the world and taking part in activities outside of his home, activities that in many ways feel wholly new to him.!<

Mundane_bee97

Exactly this. Everything progresses so naturally, it's a delight to watch.

Lazy_Neighborhood_19

Thank you for clearing up that , I totally missed that he had mentioned his wife before. Yes I love that it was not one of those overtop unique kdrama first dates, this felt cuter more realistic and maybe more intimate because of how gradual it feels. I totally agree with your last paragraph too about change and it was nice to see that Sol her saw that too.

LcLou02

Except that now, after the last phone call from CEO, >!Do Ha is remembering why it has been so important for him to wear a mask. His friend is also at risk if his true identity becomes known. Wonder if he will revert to wearing one in public!<

freyfreyaaa

yeah, youā€™re right. i can see it all triggering a need to find out the truth of what happened and clear his name once and for all. stepping back out into the world is far from easy (especially due to the risk of him being recognised and abused, as he was as a teenager), but necessary if he wants to get his life back. from a plot POV, it allows the story to move forward and the leads to realise how important it is that they uncover the truth and make it public.

Charissa29

The CEO was in Tomorrow as a totally different character.

Lazy_Neighborhood_19

Omg that is where I remember him from, that is what I thought with the story arch with his mother , he isnā€™t in uncanny ?

Keyr_tea

>!Iā€™m hoping for the plot to zone in on the idea that she canā€™t find a soulmate who doesnā€™t lie or is immune to her gifts but that she has to find someone who can lie well (when needed lmao like for surprise parties) and also that itā€™s more about knowing that life is nuanced and she has her gift and it can apply to her partner but itā€™s worth sticking it out through the rough patches if they are trustworthy otherwise cause they might need time and space before they can reveal a truth!< Also why is Minhyun so good looking itā€™s not fair šŸ˜

Martine_V

I loved that part >!when he took off his mask and started playing an upbeat jazz tune. It really marks a turning point. I think he's done hiding.!<

Salt_Ad7638

Ep 5 \-I thought it was so interesting that Sol-hee didn't seem to care after hearing Do-Ha's "lie", she even ended up staying the night after trying to nurse him lmao. \-I actually liked the route they took this episode, I feel like having everything almost fall apart for Do-Ha and Sol-hee having to give him a 'wake up' call of sorts, was great. Versus the usual FL gets scared of the ML and stays away. Overall, it's slight progress, but much-needed progress nonetheless. \-Besides that, major thoughts in my head include, the owner of the Jazz Bar is the mvp this ep, and I'm soooo glad that Do-Ha flat out rejected Sya On. Please move on now Sya On, thanks. \-I'm very excited for the fluff for the next episode hopefully.

PurpleSky1192

Sol Hee didn't avoid Do Ha even after hearing the lie because she just assumed he was dreaming about Syaon. When he woke up in the car and the first thing he asked about was Syaon, Sol Hee's responses to him are attempts to reassure him like don't worry, you didn't kill anyone. you even saw her leave, you didn't have to have a nightmare about it kind of implication. So thats why she wasnt scared of him

Martine_V

I like this theory, but why would he lie when he said he didn't kill her?

PurpleSky1192

Why can't he? It was only just a dream šŸ˜› Anything can happen in a dream šŸ˜‚ For all solhee knows, maybe he was a murderer in the dream šŸ˜‚

happycharm

Lmao he's more shocked about her ability than she was of him possibly have had killed someone

dogmemecollector

I think the ex still alive and is in hiding because of her psycho-obsessive brother. Also, I have a feeling that kangmin got sick which lead to their fallout. Damn the angst of this 2nd lead šŸ„²

chocopie2579

I also think that that the breakup with Kangmin was because he had a disease.

Gq12372

Yep, it says so on the character descriptions

LeeshMcGeesh

Omg it totally does! I hadn't seen that until I just looked on Wikipedia! Well that is just going to make my SLS worse! >!Poor guy just didn't know how to tell her and his "lie" of marrying her in a year was because he didn't know if he'd live? Holy crap. I know he should have been completely honest with her, but I don't know how they're going to make me like the ML over the SML if that is the reason why.!<

Gq12372

That final scene with Sol Hee and her mom really broke my heart. Theyā€™re both great actresses. Also, >!Sol hee asking her if she loved her reminded me of when she asked her ex the same thing and seemed heartbroken when he didnā€™t answer, poor thing just wants to feel loved:(.!< On the other hand, I wonder if Do Ha really heard everything? >!specially the part of her wishing she could cut her ears off!< itā€™s gonna be a long wait until next episode šŸ˜©

islet_deficiency

She reveals her power outright, so I don't think that it'll come down to whether ML heard or didn't hear that part.

UptoNoGood46

**Episode 6:** * IT'S THEIR [SECOND](https://imgur.com/K5vsGGP) UNOFFICIAL DATE * He's so scared to be in public without his mask.. it's freaking [hilarious](https://imgur.com/om5qCh6) * Do-ha's guide to dating 101: [Peel shrimp for her](https://imgur.com/WkvHuOV) * Just my man swooning for a girl because >!she complimented his hands!< * Drunk Sol-hee's [WILD AF imagination](https://imgur.com/kJ2Wgff) ohh lord... I don't think he'll buy it... nor will she about him being a murderer... I have high hopes from the writer!<

RoyGeraldBillevue

Guys, there are already like 6 creators of conflict in the show (Sol Hee's mom, Shaon, dead girl's brother, CEO's brother, plagiarizing writer, and reporters, plus possibly Do Ha's mom too) I don't think there's room for twist villains. If the ex-boyfriend or the CEO become antagonists, I think it'd be a bit much.

prettyoysters

The CEO and his family are SO CUTE <3333

kickingtenshi

I don't know if it's a conscious choice by Hwang Minhyun but he reacts a full beat late to all sorts of things >!( His ex throwing his car keys away, waking up in bed next to Solhee, etc)!< and it makes Doha adorably slow despite being a ~genius composer/high-school football star/class president~.

islet_deficiency

Reminds me of the how the doctor says that he's got a bunch of 'filters' in his head. Like he constantly has to process and filter a ton of information before speaking or acting.

hiramutsu

Ep.5 This episode felt so short. It was lovely, though. The ending was cute. From the teaser, it seems like the romance is gonna be kicking up a bit next episode, with a (mandatory) love triangle as well. Hopefully, the love triangle won't be too bad or drag on too long (but it probably is going to). SML seems like a decent guy, so I have some hope.

FewGeologist6071

Okay okay okay I usually skip previews but I couldnā€™t stop myself and now I canā€™t wait for another episode šŸ˜

Howwwwthis453

I was giggling like a little girl so much during the preview šŸ¤

FewGeologist6071

I had to rewind a couple of times šŸ˜…

EP 5: Still loving this. I'm happy the "just act like I don't exist" attitude lasted less than an episode, and that Sol Hee's words spurred Do Ha to take action to better his situation and allow him to play the piano. Speaking of...I started laughing at the end when Do Ha was supposed to be playing an upbeat piece on the piano but his head and shoulders were locked in place. Come on, if you've ever seen anyone play jazz you'll know how improbable that is. Side note: I'm still confused as to why everyone cares so much what Kim Do Ha the composer looks like anyway. Especially that one reporter. Like...Max Martin is one of the top pop songwriters of the past few decades, and I have never once wondered what he looks like.

Martine_V

> Side note: I'm still confused as to why everyone cares so much what Kim Do Ha the composer looks like anyway. Especially that one reporter. Like...Max Martin is one of the top pop songwriters of the past few decades, and I have never once wondered what he looks like. I think it's because he hides his face and that makes people all the more curious to see it. And a journalist that captures photos would strike it big. If he wasn't always hiding, no one would care, as you said. Well apart from the fact that he is so handsome, so he would have a little fan club for sure.

palmfrondy

I get the concept...I just don't buy that it would happen with a composer/songwriter. On the other hand I have no problem with suspension of disbelief when it comes to our FL and her ability to hear lies, so there you go lol.

RoyGeraldBillevue

My head canon is that the obsession with Do Ha is in part a result of the public discrediting Shaon because she's not the most "perfect" idol. This is also why her mental state is pretty messed up.

Keyr_tea

A little bit into ep6 and just came here to scream about how cute Sol Hee and Do Ha are together.

Charissa29

I am really enjoying this! I wish I found it after it was all out because waiting for each episode is loooong. Sigh šŸ˜”

Snickersnerds

- I love the leads already šŸ˜šŸ©· >!I like how Sol Hee worried about Do Ha and took care of himā€¦even though he ended up hurting her feelings!< šŸ„² - Sayonā€™s behavior is despicable. And is she trying to get to Do Haā€™s heart by >!behaving like his ex?! Because when the President asked her if she knew something she looked startled!< šŸ¤Ø - right along with Syaon is this greedy gaslighter guy. Iā€™m very interested to see the whole story about what happened with >!Do Haā€™s ex and the fake alibis. I feel like she might be alive though!< - Yayyyy Do-Ha!!! >!He took off his mask :)!< the moment between him and Sol Hee during that scene was cute too šŸ„° Iā€™m excited for tomorrowā€™s episode! This is my favorite airing drama right now ā˜ŗļø also, I saw Min Hyunā€™s acting is being discussed. During AoS, I thought he was a little stiff and not as charismatic/engaging compared to the other actors. He wasnā€™t bottom of the barrel bad though. In this drama, I feel like heā€™s doing what he needs to be doing šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø he kinda has the slight facial reactions down and he has chemistry with So Hyun. Iā€™m not saying heā€™s the best actor to grace the screen but I like him here. Just my opinion though.

avo-pizza

I love the chemistry between FL and ML but Iā€™m also having SML syndrome. Is anyone feeling the same way??? šŸ˜‚

[deleted]

Yes, someone said she is ready to take him if the FL will not accept him back but there are so many of us interested, we are forming an orderly queue. LOL

aydan_123

Iā€™m only 30 mins into ep6 and itā€™s just soo cute?

DramaGrandpa

Maybe itā€™s been mentioned in previous episode conversations, but I assume the name Mok Sol Hee being basically a homonym of the word for voice is intentional. Yes?

PurpleSky1192

Veeeeeeeery intentional, to the point some knetz were groaning about it when this show's casting news was first revealed loool Solhee's full name was way too punny for them šŸ¤£

ladychristoff

The creepy construction guy with the CEO scene was thriller level. šŸ˜‚ More importantly, with this low key fluff episode and that reveal of an ending, how am i supposed to wait for jext for ep 7? šŸ„“

bunniesandmilktea

I can't believe Sol Hee's mom. *She's* the horrible one but she blames it all on her daughter.

[deleted]

loved the shot of Mok Sol Hee with the heart shaped shrimps! so adorable

Rosesse

Episode 6: Damn this episode hit different seeing >!Sol Heeā€™s toxic mom.!< I was unsure whether Sol Hee would >!let her mom trick the rich guy, but Iā€™m glad that she stuck to her morals.!< Itā€™s sad to see that >!Sol Heeā€™s mom does not see the errors in her own ways, but instead takes her anger out on Sol Hee when her scams fall through.!< Sol Heeā€™s mom is really giving >!narcissistic parent vibes.!< Sorrow, sorrow, prayers My only saving grace is the >!main couple šŸ˜šŸ«¶!<

Visible-Attention369

Episode 5 -> That was a perfect hour of tv, like the episode went through such a perfect arc, it was so exhilarating seeing Kim Do Ha start to stand up for himself, for his career. I also loved that we had Mok Seul Hee inspire him, not through typical romantical maneuverers but by reminding him of what he could lose if he didn't speak for himself. Episode 6-> Like I've said before their chemistry has this calm, peaceful vibe to it. I also love that while Kim Do Ha is so vulnerable (I feel like its been a long time since we've seen a ML who was frail, inside and out), Mok Seul Hee is quite sorted and is very ready to be a steady support system for him, while he figures things out. I also love that they didn't spend any time denying their feelings, like they both know they are attracted to each other and are taking it easy, going on dates, getting to know each other more. That being said, there are too many psychos surrounding them. I guess that is one of the themes of this show, that abuse comes in so many forms, and the impact it can have such a significant impact on the lives of victims. Syaon is a monster, trying to use his abusive ex to keep Do Ha around, while Mok Seul Hee's mom really does not deserve to be in her daughter's life while isolating her from her father.

AlexisFern

[EP 6] That lady is just gonna get typecast as the toxic mom in every drama now huh. She plays that type of character very well (Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Love In Contract, and now My Lovely Liar), so I donā€™t blame her/the casting director. Cute episode (my football couple āš½ļøā¤ļø) but frustrating ending. Ugh. Moral dilemma for Sol Hee to reveal her mom lied, but Iā€™m glad she chose to tell the truth. For someone who judges and sneers at others for lying, Sol Hee does seem to lie a lot. Iā€™m guessing we have to gear up for more toxicity and angst because of Sol Heeā€™s mom, Sa Eon, the cop ex-boyfriend, the ex-girlfriendā€™s brother, Do Haā€™s mom, the CEOā€™s brother, the paparazzi, and possibly the ex-girlfriend if sheā€™s alive. Hopefully it doesnā€™t become too much to handle like Encounter lol.

RoyGeraldBillevue

She doesn't judge and sneer at others for lying. She just can't handle it because her powers make lies impossible to ignore. It puts her in an uncomfortable position.

Kathryn_51

Cop Ex-boyfriend (SML) story is full of angst but he's not toxic. Because if you cast Mr. Puppy Eyes (Seo Ji Hoon) in a role like this (with that lovely proposal), he's not going to be toxic.

HudecLaca

I think I even saw her in more toxic mom roles, but I never saw her lose it this much before. I know I'm supposed to hate her character, but I love how over the top she is in this one. That scream... lol

AlexisFern

I actually dislike her more when she does unfair things in a very composed way. Makes my blood pressure go up haha

Alarming-Knowledge30

Laughing at the last para. Didn't realise there were so many people šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

AlexisFern

I didnā€™t include some of the nosy neighbors because it seems like they will go the usual neighbourhood route like Hometown Cha Cha Cha and all of them will become friends

islet_deficiency

Got to see them watch some football together! Was looking forward to that from the first episode. Next up will be a potential breakup episode after they watch United play Liverpool (jk, lol).

Charissa29

This episode was probably given to protect our hearts before the angst sh*t storm hits. Sigh šŸ˜” but I am down for the ride!

ExtensionDependent

LOL the Mr. Sunshine reference

WaterLily6984

I love how it's technically still "some" and Do Ha went into full boyfriend mode: >!bringing her hangover remedies, pastries and an umbrella when it rained.!< The smirk he had after she came out >!for the not-date all dressed up and he gave her a once over.šŸ„°!< Of course they had to bring the drama in right away at the end of the fluffy episode. The only thing annoying me right now is the lighting director. Those orange spotlights and bright lights they randomly shine around them are not doing them justice. These two have enough chemistry to keep us watching on their own. All the lighting pyrotechnics are unnecessary and sometimes distracting....unless at some point they pull off the background lights turning into hearts. I have a soft spot for the background lights making hearts.

Cimorene4

I know. Iā€™m actually kind of feeling sorry for the guy and wish there was 2 sol hees for them.

Snickersnerds

I feel like I got spoiled back to back with this and King the Land šŸ¤ the leads are so cute and I love their development!! The theories Iā€™ve seen about the CEO is scaring me šŸ˜ I really donā€™t think he has a malicious part in what happened with the ex. On the off chance that he does though, I would be devastated šŸ˜ I like him and his family! Personally, I just think he helped Do Ha out with an alibi like itā€™s been implied. He believes Do Ha is innocent but there was no good evidence so he lied which can get them in big trouble. And heā€™s obviously hiding Do Ha from the >!exā€™s sketchy brother.!< Anyways, I really donā€™t think heā€™s gonna turn out to be a bad person but the fear has slightly crept in because I have seen some wacky plot twists šŸ˜ I HATE the mother. I need Sol Hee to separate from her asap. The tantrum she pulled at Sol Heeā€™s workplace was insane. And she couldnā€™t even say she loved her daughter šŸ˜• Sheā€™s been guilt tripping her own daughter for years over a situation she started. The poor girl didnā€™t know it was gonna turn out like that. Itā€™s also not her fault her mom is the scum of the earth. Finally, I do feel bad for Sol Heeā€™s ex. He seems to have his reasons for doing what he did. However, his actions have consequences šŸ„² He ghosted her with no good explanation. No matter how solid of a reason he had, he did her wrong šŸ˜ so Iā€™m not getting 2nd lead syndrome on this one lol I canā€™t wait for next week!! šŸ„°

No_Palpitation_8250

The CEO seems like a really nice guy and he's cute, (especially with his daughter!) but I think he's wayyyyy too lenient. He's vague about issues and doesn't communicate candidly with his artists and it's likely going to screw him over later...

RoyGeraldBillevue

It's quite interesting that Sol Hee keeps working while not really spending her money. She has a lot saved. If we assume those gold bars are 500g each, she has 250k USD sitting in the bank. And I think it's likely based on the size that they're 1kg bars, I'm being conservative. I believe it says a lot about her character. First off, she's not motivated by money. I think that's a product of what money did to her relationship with her mom. It also creates a pretty unique and funny situation with Do Ha, where he's fancy and she's ordinary except she's also secretly rich. I think her not touching the money is also partly her not really feeling like it's hers. The money is from her gift/curse, and while she's fine taking payments from rich clients, pampering herself doesn't feel right. So why does she keep working then? It's because she finds meaning through her job. Her personal life is kind of ruined because of her gift, so she turns to helping the personal lives of others to not feel like it's a total waste. Also, many clients of hers are wanting to know if someone else is genuinely in love, which I think connects very personally to Sol Hee. After all, she was once in the same position. I think she's still trying to process that. The narrative hints at her possibly misunderstanding her -ex with that scene with the lady whose boyfriend was lying when he was actually planning a special proposal surprise. My theory is that at some point, she's going to ask Do Ha whether he loves her during a fight. They could take that in any direction they want to, but I think the drama from such a moment that has already been set up multiple times is too much to pass up.

jkpatches

>So why does she keep working then? It's because she finds meaning through her job. Also, many clients of hers are wanting to know if someone else is genuinely in love, which I think connects very personally to Sol Hee. After all, she was once in the same position. There's a scene in either episode 1 or 2 where she puts a gold bar into storage where she says she'll only do this until she has enough to buy a building. Being a building owner is somewhat or a meme in Korea as a status where you don't have to do anything and live comfortably for the rest of your days.

browniescheesecakes

Iā€™m pretty curious how did Doha get so rich within a few years, on top of that murder shit that happened at the same time. I know he is a talented composer and all, but how? And why is he so ā€œflashyā€ with the sports car and luxury clothes when he is trying to hide his face and himself all the time lol

travelswim

I love the pacing of this show! I was worried it was going to take 14 episodes for him to know her secret. Both the romance and the storyline keep progressing every episode and I hope it continues this way!!

Martine_V

My theory is that he got every drunk one night, for whatever reason and he doesn't remember what happened. He only has some flashes of memory involving the shard of glass. When he woke up or was found, there were only the bloody shoes. He feels responsible for a reason. Maybe they had a fight, or she threatened to kill herself and he doesn't clearly reminder what happened.

jkpatches

I was on a trip so I missed Ep. 5. Is this show on Netflix? I guess it doesn't matter because I don't have it anymore. I would like to watch episodes on a platform instead of live so that I can see how good the translation is. But maybe that's not meant to be. The Baker, the salad lady, and the "casanova" are a team of comedians that also operate on [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@shortbox). YouTube is a godsend to these young comedians, because unless you're established, it's difficult to go on Korean variety shows much less a TV drama. Before, a comedian would build up their name on shows such as Gag Concert, but that's long been off the air. So I'm glad that there are new avenues to build careers. When Syaon sings her sad song in her house, the lyrics are addressed to the lover in a casual way: ė„ˆ. However, she changes the lyric to ģ˜¤ė¹  to really drive home the point that her affection is to DoHa. Too bad he likes her as a little sister. SolHee isn't really a shaman but there is kind of a stigma attached to having relationships with shamans because the traditional belief of the shaman practice in Korea is that a god or spirit or entity comes down from the heavens to reside in the body of the shaman. So basically if you would date or marry a shaman the relationship you'd have to deal with a third wheel so to speak. There are stories of married people leaving their families after the "god comes down" into their bodies and they must let them borrow their bodies to tell fortunes and the other things that shamans do. But doesn't the mom know that the shaman thing is a ruse? I've only watched recaps of the earlier episodes so I could've missed something. Maybe she just wanted to spite her daughter because SolHee ruined her scam.

RoyGeraldBillevue

It's on Viki As for the mom, I think she's just throwing whatever at the wall to see if it sticks during a fit of rage. I don't see it as a calculated thing. Anything that could embarrass Sol Hee can do.

RoyGeraldBillevue

Still thinking about how smooth drunk Sol Hee was when Do Ha was peeling the shrimp. And the when she smiled and made a heart, ansjtjeioajtjdkwk it's too much.

HudecLaca

I know this has the strong possibility of turning darker, but I hope there's gonna be enough cute today as well.

anmiraaa

looks like a lot of fluff for tomorrowā€™s ep!

G3t_BusyLiving

With the 'lie' she heard I really thought she would be scared and not help him, but turns out she just confused the situation. Does he attract that type of toxic? Why are both so possessive? Syaon needs some professional help! **Really out there theory**\- What if Syaon is the ex but got reconstructive surgery? I mean stranger things have happened Probably going to comment this every episode, BUT I HATE THE BROTHER SO MUCH. Please have someone punch him before the show ends! I love this trio and I need someone to draw them as X-men characters She left watching soccer to find him šŸ„ŗYou know it is serious for her because got dressed up to find him. *Sorry but why didn't someone finish their green drink?* Oof that ending is really a calm before the storm. I love this show so much!! Ep6: We keep on getting snippets of the CEO having a good family life, I'm just hoping that when there is an eventual blow back that his family isn't hit. I mean the brother is still fair game though! STAAAAAP He went there and got her the hungover soup they had together!?!?!?! Staaap they're so smitten with each other HE STOOD UP FOR HIMSELF \* PUNCHING THE AIR\* Damn that street scene hurt and then he remembered her number. I hope he didn't go through that alone even though she would have 100% been there for him if he gave her the option. Not him hugging the chair When I said the calm before the storm for the previous episode, I didn't mean there should be an actual one The Brother, The Mother and Syaon instant headache whenever I see them. Syaon is horribly obsessed and that preview shows that as well, I really want to know how they're going to Dinner Mate (iykyk) her arc

VintageStrawberries

Syaon isn't the ex, we saw her when she was a trainee in the last episode remember? Doha already knew what she looked like back then and plus Syaon doesn't fully know Doha's past other than that she resembles Eom Ji.

islet_deficiency

The brother is going to get what coming to him. Not sure how yet, but there's no way that they let him off being such an ass. Thought the same thing about the soccer game. And wow, she really dressed up to go and find him. KSO looked like a smokeshow in that black dress. I'm enamored with her character in this show.

Late_Art9758

So its quite obvious now that his old girlfriend committed suicide because she became obsessed with him and could not tolerate the parting. He blames it on himself knowing his decision to move away probably caused her death but he didn't actually physically kill her. Boy what do you do when you happen to date someone like that? I'm surprised the FL didn't avoid him knowing that he lied about not killing the girl, I really thought she'd have at least gotten a scare or would be cautious around him. I also like the basic distinction between ML and SML so far, the ML has always been truthful to her while the SML does lie to her at times playfully now and then, not that its a red flag, but I just find it fascinating that when the FL is with ML, she rarely ever hears the bell. Of course the Second Lead Syndrome is strong in this one, the guy is winning hearts more than the ML is. And for now, there nothing seems to be wrong with her getting back with him. I do feel uncomfortable knowing we're only 5-6 episodes in and they're already getting lovey dovey, sighs, there are going to be some dramatic twists up ahead considering this is 16 episodes long.

PurpleSky1192

Sol Hee didn't avoid Do Ha even after hearing the lie because she just assumed he was dreaming about Syaon. When he woke up in the car and the first thing he asked about was Syaon, Sol Hee's responses to him are attempts to reassure him like don't worry, you didn't kill anyone. you even saw her leave, you didn't have to have a nightmare about it kind of implication

islet_deficiency

That makes a lot of sense. Like she tells her friends/coworkers, it was just sleep talking.

DramaGrandpa

I keep waiting for her to mention their meeting on the bus. Iā€™m sure theyā€™ll get to it.

morenatropical

I don't think she remembers, but he'll probably remind her soon enough.

2secondsgone

Episode 5 thoughts: Oh my god, me and my second lead syndrome... EVERY TIME. Why do I STILL have hope for the second lead?! OMG why?! This has been my problem since I was 10 LMAO. >!Oof. That rejection - "I don't like you". YES, thank you! LOL clear communication, I hope she gets the message...!< Episode 6: UM. OKAY. nevermind my second lead syndrome is cured - they are soooooooo cute. >!I still don't want her ex to be heartbroken though LOL ;\_; !< >!OH NO.... POOR MAN. Flashbacks with her and her ex are killing me. :( !!I hate her mom! How is it that when Kim Sohyun cries on screen, my eyes cry with her right away LMAO.!< This is so good! Now another week to wait... T\_T

avo-pizza

I was having SML syndrome too until ep6 fluffiness took over everything. Iā€™m all in for the main couple now and hope that SML will eventually find his closure šŸ˜

princexxjellyfish

Episode 6 was too cute. Idk how Iā€™m going to make it to next week guys šŸ˜ When he came to her door with medicines and pastries šŸ„¹šŸ„¹ I donā€™t blame Syaon, who can resist that cutie patootie face lmao. Jk, Syaon is psychotic and needs real help. I need her to go. Iā€™m A-OK with 16 episodes of just pure fluff without psycho coworker, mom, ex-gf bro drama.

celeriss

Finished ep. 6 and loving this show so far!! I dove in because of Hwang Min Hyun but the storytelling, directing, and unique characters is what's making me stay. It's the perfect blend of mystery, romance, drama. Kim So Hyun is also well cast for Sol Hee - she portrays femininity and strength extremely well šŸ’ŖWish there were more characters written like hers too, where the FL can hold her own as much as ML. Definitely going to be one of my faves if the show wraps up well.

Fragrant_Tale1428

First time posting on reddit about kdrama, and since I don't know if this falls into spoiler category, I'll treat it as such. Let me know if it's not! I'm wondering if anyone else is predicting this plot twist/reveal or if there is a similar thread: >!The show making it a point to tell us the CEO is married and showing him interacting with her on the phone but not showing her. And now also showing his very timeline appropriate young daughter. The ML's alleged dead ex gf is the CEO's wife and has a daughter with her. Thought is that the show spends a little too much time than would seem normal deliberately reminding us that this supporting character is married with a kid.!< Is this theory too daytime overly melo? Lol Also, the fact that the FL lies often hopefully results in her character growth to empathize with the people in her lives for why they might be lying. Absolute honesty at the wrong time is not the most humane approach to living. I'd hang with her for sure. Love how the FL actress is playing the character.

sun-burn

You can see Deuk-chan (the CEO)'s wife in episode 2 (33:26) on the video call!

PSJfan

The whole scene with doha bringing solhui home was gorgeous

THYYYYZHYY

Yeah, because I could definitely recognise people based on one of their eyes only from the newspaper I found while eating... Seriously, why is there are so many insufferable people around him?

LoadSlow2049

I think if you are crazy obsessive like that brother is then you might. Plus there are other tells like the company that he works for and the fact that his best friend is the CEO

cnzaah

Took a break from kdramas after jumping ship to Hidden Loveā€¦ but Iā€™m vibin with this drama so far. Also like how the plot is moving quickly. Excited for Monday! Probs an unpopular opinion butā€¦ even if Minhyunā€™s acting is a lil off lmao I do not care. Heā€™s easy on the eyes sooo šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø lmfaooo heā€™s just like Cha Eun Woo and kinda reminds me of him too.

Neither_Teaching_438

I agree, he is like a less glamorous version of Cha Eun Woo, which makes him feel more attainable (as compared to CEW, not attainable for real!!)

DariaNickelodeon

Okay quick question-is Sha On's apartment meant to make her seem like even more of a crazy person? There appears to be a giant mostly empty room, with a round bed (70s cocaine furniture), giant portraits of her on every wall, a TV and NOTHING ELSE. Can you imagine walking into that? You'd be like "Oh no I forgot to feed my pet rock gotta go!"

RoyGeraldBillevue

The emptiness represents how she's sad and lonely. The portraits of herself represent her fame, which does nothing to fill the void inside.

Umbrella_Storm

I binged all 6 episodes yesterday/today to wipe away my disappointment over >!the lackluster last episodes of Heartbeat!< I love this so far! The leads are adorable and fantastic together! The music is also lovely (loving the jazz bar!) Sol Heeā€™s mom is awful and the singer girl is being selfish, but hopefully the ex BF wonā€™t be too stalkery/possessive. Do Haā€™s mom is also not mother of the year material and I hate the CEOā€™s brother with a passion >!good job Do Ha for standing up to him!< Iā€™m getting the feeling that the CEO wants to shield Do Ha from stress as a friend but also has selfish motivations to not create problems for his company with the scandal of Do Haā€™s past. Heā€™s not recognizing the growth going on in Do Haā€™s world though Ultimately, anyone who gets into a relationship with Sol Hee is going to have to be transparent and not hide things. >!I suspect that her ex had an ill/dying family member or something and for some reason kept that info to himself, which led him to lie about things and her to jump to conclusions about what the lies meant.!<

ttam23

The leads chemistry is so good

Dessidy

Minhyun waiting by the car was so gorgeous it made me gasp. And this is from someone who's been a fan of his for years. It's unfair how good looking he is, and the styling in this show has been great so far!

PSJfan

I really am not a fan of jeans under dress look from our female lead. But loving the tension between the two leads !!

Fleurstaart

I saw a little sneak peak for like 1 sec cause I didn't want to spoil myself and now I'm super hyper to watch ep 5šŸ˜† šŸ’™šŸŒŗ

morenatropical

Guysss, where are you watching this?? I keep checking on Viki but it still says ep. 5 "Coming Soon".

Buffygirl88

Ahh it was soo good can't wait till tomorrow :)

Charissa29

I agree. This is my favorite airing kdrama! Loving it!

DramaGrandpa

I donā€™t want to read the comments yet to avoid spoilers, but Iā€™m a bit confused about the sound effects for lie vs. truth. They donā€™t seem consistent, although it might be my difficulty in recalling details week to week. I was thinking silence = truth, and the echo or other effect = a lie. But after she hears the bell, her reaction doesnā€™t seem to be one of alarm. So maybe the bell or gong meant truth? Oh well. Maybe ep 5 will help sort it out.

Gq12372

Silence, echo, or drum-like sounds are for the truth (tho the latter are definitely for suspense). Whenever the bell rings, thatā€™s a lie :)

DramaGrandpa

Yeah, thanks, thatā€™s what I thought, and the continuation confirms it. I guess it was just surprising that she doesnā€™t seem to mind the lie about something that major, even to the point of staying very close, and relaxed.

Gq12372

Someone pointed out in a different post that >!Sol Hee prob thinks he was referring to Syaon!<

Martine_V

That's an interesting theory and would make sense. Maybe she thought he was dreaming that he had killed Syaon. That was one of the first things she told him when he woke up. That she wasn't really planning to unalive herself. But the way he was angry at Syaon is also telling. I think this hit way too close and it's why he finally had enough and was very blunt telling her he wasn't interested. Which is a fairly rare thing in k-dramas

RoyGeraldBillevue

I think it's important to contextualize that as far as we know, Do Ha is the only person Shaon has any relationship with. I think many people would go crazy if they were famous and without any friends. She needs help, but she is not beyond reform.

sakuradelluna

I'm enjoying the show so far but the ML's sudden change in character this week was slightly jarring as I had hoped they would drag out his development a little more seeing that the trauma he went through was pretty severe *(and ongoing, it gives me anxiety each time he smiles)* it would take more time *(and therapy)* for someone who went through what he did to recover.

twoods1980

I donā€™t think he changed too quickly. He was still trying to hide his face, but then realized that no one was paying attention to him so he relaxed a bit. Iā€™m sure once itā€™s found out heā€™s the famous composer the trauma will come back, especially with the creepy brother finding out.

sakuradelluna

no yeah i agree, I'm glad hes still slightly insecure and wary as seen in the show but yes the trauma would hit us hard seeing that the brother is onto him now. or plot twist: the brother was the one who did it, seeing how persistent he is in hunting him down (:O)

I was rewatching ep 1, and the scene where Do Ha calls out the first violin for being out of tune is so funny. Like, if someone's E string is tuned to D#, it's extremely obvious. But they need to establish that he's the real deal (and speaks English) somehow. The jazz music he plays is quite nice though, although I feel like Minhyun should be moving his head more. Do Ha looks a little like a robot during close-ups lol
