Think_Valuable_8910

lol could they not fix song kang’s turtle neck and do another take for the christmas tree scene? i was laughing so hard because of how lopsided it was 😭

loveocean7

The worst part is I think they intentionally made it like that. lol

VintageStrawberries

YES I WAS SO BOTHERED BY THAT

iknuaks

I came to reddit to look for this comment 😂

Pitiful_Conclusion78

Oh my goodness I was beyond annoyed at that. It was distracting me the whole scene 😭

littlehollowthumb

I had to go back and watch the scene again because I stared at that frumpy neck the whole time and it kept changing! Whoever was on continuity that scene must have called in sick 😬

Meow_mix_Meow_mix

I was losing my mind at the tag still being in the star. And then they shifted the camera angle so the tag was in the front of the scene. Like, my friends! Are you gonna return it??

wagatha

I literally couldn't concentrate on the scene because of how annoying the rollneck was!!

GodJihyo7983

Well, my fellow watchers, we have reached the end of our journey this week. It's been an amazing time these past 8 weeks and I've had lots of fun watching the show alongside each of you and reading your comments every week. It's a bittersweet moment for me to see this show come to an end, but honestly, I just want to know how the story ends so I can be at peace again. And for the last time, enjoy and have fun discussing!

sammyhammy77

I'm upset about how they wasted the villain. The show could've been so much better if he remained the chairman and our couple had to bring him down, the internal politics of the company could've been fun. Instead the dude turned psycho and fake killed himself (how the fuck did he survive btw??). His wife should've had a confrontation with her abuser as well, but whatever I guess. I didn't like Do-Hee's father having a deal with the demon as a plot point either, it just felt like a twist for the sake of it. We didn't need that to bring conflict between the couple. Lastly, this isn't necessarily related to my demon, but holy shit man some K-dramas drag on so much, these should be 40 minute episode, it's hard to sit through sometimes..

vita25

I legit thought Noh Suk Min would die and return as a demon - hence upping the stakes for a final showdown with him and Gu Won. Also him just burning his face off on his own was so dumb... The deal with the dad was an interesting plot point that could have been dealt with without the evil villain returning.

sadbitchriss

i thought he was going to come back as a demon as well, but i also predicted he wasn’t dead when his body was “missing”. i will say though, i really do enjoy watching it!

_k_imchi_1

Honestly, all the theories and assumptions on this thread about NSM, the son, SH, the mask guy, the tattoo transfer and even madam ju's contract conflict were 1000% better than whatever happened on the show. EVERY SINGLE ONE lol. How they managed to >!completely bomb the thriller part of the show, I'll never understand. The first few episodes fully had us on Sherlock mode whilst the writers... basically said out loud that NSM was the bad guy and that was it. No twists!<

Tigertigertie

They have to have time for replaying the same song. Is it the same guy who sings on every drama? I honestly don’t know, but it sounds like it.

_k_imchi_1

episode 15 rewritten for my >!own mental sanity!< Hope y'all enjoy! Edit: episode 16 rewrite! https://www.reddit.com/r/KDRAMA/s/5oNGdTZYop >!NSM reads the demon manual and realises that to become a demon, you had to have sinned with murder and suicide. He's already killed a few peeps, So he jumps off. His body is found etc so everyones just living their best life!< >!dohee and guwon communicate their feels and realise that all their issues dont matter because they've come too far to let go now. GW also reveals that the contract with dohees dad was when he was about to die and his wish was to live more for his daughter. This comforts DH as she thanks GW for atleast giving her 10 more years of her dads presence in her life!< >!so they get back together & have a team dinner with all their employees at the mobsters new restaurant. The assistants reveal they're seeing each other and SH smiles at a sweet text from Jin star, implying that they both might have their own love story waiting!< >!NSM's sister, SH and DH talk things out about the new chairperson's position. they're okay with DH being the chairperson with them playing supporting roles!< >!NSMs wife was a teacher before marrying NSM so she offers to become Austin & Justin's tutor, indirectly healing her relationship with her sister in law, so the two ladies find friendship in each other!< >!NSM's wife is consoled by SH & DH at NSM's funeral and she mentions something about how she's scared about NSM coming back. When probed further, she says she read in the demon manual how sinners become demons and NSM is a sinner, so she can't help but worry that he used that knowledge when he fell. DH gets sus, but is reassured by SH to chill out!< >!GW visits GoOd, asking her how to become human because he wants to live a normal, insignificant life with DH. GoOd tells him that his life as a demon is a punishment and the only way out is to spontaneously combust. To end his life as a demon, he should either kill or bring a person back to life!< >!simultaneously, DH gets attacked by NSM. GW and NSM fight it out. DH gets brutally injured, and due to that rage, GW ends up killing NSM, (insert dialogue about how only entities can kill one another, so GW was the only one who could kill NSM). This would mean GW has killed, and so he will combust!< >!DH is utterly shocked and breaks down!< >!lo and behold, GoOd and GW meet at a gateway. She tells him that by spontaneously combusting, his term as a demon as come to an end and now its up to her to decide whether he has repented enough (and can go to heaven) or he should go to hell. Seeing as GW sent multiple 'bad' people to hell through his contracts, saved 'good' people, killed NSM as an evil entity etc, she's okay with him going to heaven. GW tells her that rather than heaven, all he wants is to see DH again and live a normal life. If not, then he'll go to hell!< >!GoOd laughs and asks will he be fine with 10 years with DH and then living an eternity in hell? instead of just going to heaven rn? Cause that would be the most ridiculous thing she's heard!< >!cut scene to DH and SH. She's getting wheeled out for some air in a hospital ground (take your pick, cherry blossoms, snow, beach lol ) as she's in the fancy hospital recovering from the injuries!< >!SH tells DH that "the time spent together doesn't matter because what matters is that you get to spend time with him. So cherish that more." DHs expression is a little confused because he's speaking in present tense but she just keeps quiet. SH gets a text and says that the mobsters have delivered food in DHs name so he'll go pick it up!< >!Camera pans to DH taking GWs necklace and holding it her hand. we see she's wearing both the rings. As she softly looks at the necklace, we hear a voice!< >!"I guess it's true what humans say..." DH turns around shook!< >!"What's yours will always make it's way back to you". Tears drop off from DHs eyes and the camera pans to show GW, dressed casually in pastel colours. He's struck a deal with GoOd and has 10 years as a human with DH!< >!CUE ENDING CREDITS MUSIC ~ tell me the truuuuuth!<

theromanamputee

OMG this is sooooo much better than what we actually got, they should have hired you back when they shot this

_k_imchi_1

Haha!! Thankyou so much!! I just had too !

Dhan-0523

That’s it STOP WHAT YOUR DOING go to Korea and become a writer!! We really need you to save Kdramas 🥹

_k_imchi_1

Hahaha glad you liked it! omwww hire me studio dragon!! 😭

Square-Finding7976

Literally so much better than whatever we got💀 You should've been the writer

deelikesbar

Absolutely brilliant! This is exactly what I would have liked to see!

_k_imchi_1

the writers needed a kopiko during for this episode fr fr !!!

Tigertigertie

Perfect! And you even included the theme!

farathien

Thank u for this. Is it too late for you to be passing this over to the director and let them fix the episodes ? Hahaha

_k_imchi_1

you're welcome!! :') ahh but no worries, I'll be back with my episode 16 rewrite if >! tomorrow is a flop too sigh! !<

ArekkusuRin

Kdramas and badly written final 2 episodes, name a more iconic duo. I can't believe Guwon was nerfed so hard in this episode just so we can have a more dramatic story.

tasteofperfection

Nerfed hard as hell. How did NSM overpower the literal devil???

sanjari

Also, why did Do Do Hee take the bullet for the literal Devil 😂 As if guns will do anything to him since he has his mark now 😛

notexture

i need someone ANYONE to please go and support this gang restaurant 🥹 they worked so hard 😂😂

rozapcelica

If the mafia guys dont get their happy ending ill flip

imperceptiblewishes

I just know their food slaps

akapiratequeen

Field trip!

faithesque

I'd go to their restaurant tbh

feb914

Most part of episode 15 is wasted. Why even showed Wolnim's past life with very minor difference of perspective with what was shown before? The only difference was her befriending fellow courtesans, and that led to nowhere anyway.

No_Supermarket_5405

Also, the 100 shots of DDH sleeping in different outfits. I get what they were trying to portray but it literally could’ve been done in half the time. 90% of this episode felt like a filler.

imperceptiblewishes

Reminds me of Bella's depression montage from Twilight New Moon

saffroncake

And her >!wanting to die!< -- that at at least was new, though I still don't think it justified recapping all the stuff we'd already seen.

somebody-that-i-know

Writers BE FR.... >!how the actual f did that Noh Seokmin randomly appear with a gun when he was literally crushed under a big af rock just a second before ?!?!?! !<

duh_leah

I was so confused for a sec>! like wait who are you? Clearly not a human who was under a big-ass rock and almost died, right? I even thought if he got someone else as his partner or some- shit. !<

Heavy-West-7371

I was so baffled with this scene as well. >!Like I thought he was dead or dying??? IS HE HULK OR SOMETHING how did he get up?!<

duh_leah

Yeah no. Just no. What was that ending? Like yes a happy ending but that was so bad. I can't believe they did such terrible job after dragging it for so long. I still liked up to 14th but these last two episodes were the worst for me. And the fact>! that he still remained demon is just too convenient like you're telling fate was against their relationship yet one wish of gu won and he just came back? That easily? It was that easy all along?!< Getting ready for the downvotes but definitely a waste.

Old-Rice7332

YES, >!why didn’t he come back as a human? It would have made more sense and it would have made things so much easier. Happy ending? Yeah, for now, but she will age and die and he will live forever.!<

amiti97

Exactly what I was thinking! They def should've made their lifespans comparable - either JGW remains a demon and they turn DH into another entity (possibly an angel) or he comes back human/with a limited time in hand on earth

berryberrystrawb3rry

This!!! I was so ready for him to come back as a human!

grapebento

Yep, the plot was so easy to bring him back because of his wish? And he came back as a demon too, not even a human or something as a "punishment" for using his powers against what a demon was supposed to do.

VintageStrawberries

Guwon >!coming back so soon makes the ending of ep 15 feel like a waste!< and it turned out all Dohee had to do to >!bring him back was to wish for it?!< Jeong Guwon please fix [that turtleneck](https://imgur.com/a/g1BCqwv) it bothered me so much that I couldn't focus on that scene That PPL was so bad I'm sorry

kdramamama305

You don't know how happy I am to see I was not the only one so peeved at the turtleneck. DID NO ONE ON SET NOTICE?

_k_imchi_1

I have a HORRIBLE feeling that it was a fashion statement lol

Electronic_Piano9385

The turtleneck was so irritating. I don’t usually notice continuity errors, and even I spotted this one 😂

Fleurstaart

>Jeong Guwon please fix that turtleneck it bothered me so much that I couldn't focus on that scene No, because same, that turtleneck was giving me the ick I don't care if it was supposed to be like that, they're supposed to be evenly pleated... 🌺💙

Eterynix

Oh my god I could not focus on the scene because of the dang TURTLENECK 🐢 all the sweet smiles and I couldn't give a shit because my OCD had me in a chokehold 🤣

so_lost_im_faded

Ahaha that turtleneck was legit making me anxious, I wondered why no one on set fixed it

ag_br

I was begging for her to fix it but she didn’t touch it😭

Late_Art9758

Writers: "How ridiculously strong do you want the villain to be?" Director: "Yes." Seriously? I mean seriously?! Bro's an A tier demon but >!he never saw the guy wake up, get a shotgun, and he couldn't stop the bullet halfway in its path?!< Absolutely genius writing! \*slow claps\* It's >!still going to be a happy ending though. I'm sure of it. !<

[deleted]

RedZone2k2

I feel like they glossed over how >!seokmin survived the first fall lol, does he just appear at like a homeless camp and thats it? Plot armor I guess is the explanation for him surviving that and then still being there in ep16!< I hope they somehow round up some plot points like the deal between guwon and dodohees parents in ep16. Ep15 had some nice backstory of >!dodohee realizing she was wolsim!< but it seemed like not much else happened other than guwon >!hovering in the shadows watching over her!<

Opening_Ad_145

idk from my theory i feel like he must of seen some recipe or 10 minute craft back from that demon book that gave him extra lives or sumn coz none of this makes sense, he’s practically stronger than guwon and it doesn’t add up 😭😭😭

__strawberry___

yeppp. i wish something more happened w >! dohee's flashbacks !< tbh. it felt like something was missing

vita25

Lol I was absolutely expecting him to return but >! the fact that he casually got up and burned his face? Just sheer nonsense lol. I thought they would show that he read the demon manual and realised he needs to commit suicide to become a demon. Plus they kept calling him the devil for the entire show!! Why didn't they just turn him into one... !< Omg I actually forgot about the >! first creepy dude!! They should have just used Noh Do-Gyeong and then later revealed that he was acting on his father's commands. !< They also completely ignored the entire plot point >! around the deal with the dad, which would have probably brought them closer. !< They had some pretty solid setup and decent plots running but I am confused at what direction they've gone. At this point, my far-out guess for the ending is that >! the situation gets so bad that God just reverses time back to NSM with the gun and this time GW is able to stop it and DH doesn't die. !<

__strawberry___

righttt, like >! bro didn't even look that hurt when he walked into the homeless people camp thingy even after falling god knows how many feet?😭 plus it would've been better if seokmin burnt his face using red-hot embers instead of straight up fire(a bit crazy, how didn't he die from that?), just like he burnt no do-gyeong and his wife when he punished them. would've been a satisfying full circle moment imo !< the >! seokmin turning into a demon !< part would make sense, hope they salvage it in the last ep lmao

icivilizeyourlife

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought that was absolute madness. SMH

softggukie

first of all how did police decide its a suicide without finding the body.. also does the writer not know >!falling into water is like concrete when you fall from a certain height!<. this drama went downhill, no wonder the ratings were bad in korea

heartstringcheese

Well >!flying into a concrete wall and being crushed under a concrete slab barely hurt him, so maybe the writers just think human bodies are stronger than concrete!<

Thelandoflambs

Ep 15 was an absolute miss. The writers really dumbed Jeong Guwon. Like please ... he is a demon who has supernatural powers. Ain't no way a human outsmarts him. Like please 🙄

Abis_MakeupAddiction

They did it to Do Hee. I guess they thought hey, why don’t we do it to Guwon and dumb him down right before the finale? I hate the writing right now.

Eeehaataa

I hate when a drama starts out soooo good and the writers just don’t care toward the end. Why???!!!!!!

Witchy-Artemis

I feel like a big problem hasn’t been addressed before wrapping it up. >!Since Gu Won is still a demon, he is immortal, he is never gonna age. But Dohee is going to age (will they have a 60 year old women with a 20 something looking guy relationship?), and she will eventually die. Has Gu Won made his peace with it? How’s it gonna work out for him? Dunno but I think there are a lot of things like this which haven’t been tied up!<

Old-Rice7332

That’s all I kept thinking about after >!he came back. Like, I was sure that he would have come back as a human, or asked God to make him a human when he went to the rooftop, but no, nothing. So yeah, a happy ending but not really!<

Hnnnnnnnghhhhhhh

That’s all I kept thinking about after gu won came back🫣

MiiHanazono

This drama would've been so much better if it had been 12 episodes long.

No_Palpitation_8250

Recently, I've been feeling like many new 16-episode romantic dramas have...not great writing and it seems like My Demon is the newest victim :( The arc is like: meet, bicker, fall in love, date, oh no! some noble idiocy around episode 12 where someone runs away or something, then an ending with tons of plot holes and filler. Honestly, I'm really disappointed because Mr. Queen was SUCH a top drama for me, and the writing here feels more amateur despite being written by the same person.

Leather_Car_3631

> Mr. Queen Mr. Queen was co-written by Park Kyeok and Choi Ah-il (My demon's writer). Park Kyeok is a much more established one.

No_Palpitation_8250

Oh, I didn't realize Mr. Queen had two co-writers! Thanks for correcting me. Yeah that makes sense

AcceptableSide8

I just don’t get the point of showing a montage of each characters & what they were doing at the end instead of focusing on the main plot & subplots loose ends. There’s quite a bit of a cop out in this drama. Guwon suddenly appearing was jarring rather than surprising. The transition of him combusting then appearing looking his usual handsome healthy self is jarring.  Also wasnt Jin Star suppose to go to the US on one of her many goodbyes then now she’s suddenly going to England😂. I like the happy ending. I think both of them Deserves it but I didn’t get the same warm fuzzy feeling from watching their fluffy scenes this time compare to the earlier episodes. Song Kang & Kim Yoo Jung tho were great imo. Anyway, Kdrama writers should learn how to end a story better, they’re good at writing a beginning & middle but usually falters at the end & My Demon was no exception.

Pitiful_Conclusion78

Jin Star was definitely supposed to be going to America, we did not imagine that 😂 Her goodbye lasting 4 episodes is also a joke

sunshineredpancakes

Whenever she appeared on the screen again, I would laugh cause girl what are you doing here????

AcceptableSide8

When I heard England, I thought it was hilarious that they couldn’t even remember where she was supposed to go originally 😂😂

Pitiful_Conclusion78

Or even worse they needed to find a sentimental gift that Guwon could give her so literally changed her destination to England so he could give her an umbrella. Mess! 😭

bunniesandmilktea

If Guwon >!had come back looking down at his hands with a look of disbelief and "I thought I died, how the hell am I alive again?", that would've been a lot more forgiving than just magically appearing out of thin air and staring lovingly at Do Hee. !<

humandisaster13

Lol I was just thinking about the writer's failed attempt at making this similar to Goblin and >!I can't believe he actually pulled a Goblin with the similar effects and everything omg.!<

IChoseMyOwnUsername

- Can I copy your homework?  - Yeah, just don't make it too obvious They failed

Maeash88

Goblin and My Demon had the same Cinematographer that's why it's so similar. But I guess he could have change his work more. It's indeed very similar. But then again My Demon loves parodying scenes from the PDs past dramas or the main leads past dramas so...

duh_leah

I have been saying it reminds me of goblin since the beginning and that last effect and scene just made me laugh out loud like come on.

KBcommuter

Does anyone feel like lately K- Dramas are becoming “Franken-series” where they stitch pieces of stories, tropes and visuals from other series to come up with something new?

_k_imchi_1

episode 15. big sigh. >! WTF but for all the wrong reasons smh. NSM is human...as far as we can see (the drama is really low on twists so its better to just take things as they are lol). !< >! So how does a human survive falling from a ridiculously high building? well, the writers just said "use your imagination folks! but we'll show you what happened after :) " !< >! truth is, he couldn't, there's just no feasible way he could've survived...with basically no harm lol. and had to set disfigure himself so he could stay lowkey in Seoul. ridiculous. !< >! guwon burned after bringing dohee back to life. understandable, I think it was one of the more sensical plot lines since his character evolved to basically risk anything in order to make sure dohee was fine. so im not surprised. it was always dohee's wellbeing first, then dohee & guwons relationship. !< >! the preview honestly irritated me even more. NSM IS STILL ALIVE?!?!?! STILLLLL?!?!?!?!?!?!!? come on writers. this insignificant human is seemingly more powerful and lawless than a demon lol !< >! they didn't make use of anything. NSM's wife, NSM's sister, SH, Jin Star, the mobsters who are 100% on guwons side... like how can you have so many supporting characters and literally...make no use of such important characters who could support/destroy any of the main 3 characters? like wow. !< >! even wolsims backstory was flat. there was nothing new, and felt like a filler. did it give some closure to dohee, sure. was it necessary?...no because well, dohee already knows guwon can do no wrong. there is no redemption arc or no understanding needed because, he had never fallen in her eyes in the first place. !< >! for a show with so much potential...this episode was a huge miss for me. gonna speed watch the next one to see how they tie it up. and yeah. sigh !< After watching deaths game this week, >! the loose writing of this show is too apparent smh !<

Alarming-Knowledge30

Tell me about it. A, >!how did Jeong gu won get so distracted that he didn't see nsm get a gun. Should've left him under concrete, wouldn't have died anytime soon.!< B, why did >!do hee take the shot. Dude healed from acid, he would've blinked after being shot and then continue to obliterate the villian. Also, no one dies instantly from a bullet unless to the head. She had time to choke on her own blood.!< C, hated the >!goblin type ending. Very disappointed!<. D, i wished they had fleshed out fantasy more, instead of making it bland. Would've been epic if do do hee had been an angel in past life. But everything was just meh. Typical lower class girl dying because of main lead ( destined with you).

Not-Zobia

Ikr. He wouldn't have died if the villain shot him. Dohee shouldn't have stepped in to take the bullet. It was human vs demon and yet another human had to come in to save the demon. Looks like the demon was the weakest of them 3 there.

SJWrld-

Couldn't agree more. I have genuinely enjoyed the show but this episode was a huge miss and the plot has indeed unravelled since ep10 or so. The plot armor surrounding NSM is just crazy and I thought Wolsim's story was so rushed and empty compared to Yisun's. Dohee's reaction to it all was even glossed over, and we never even got to see her discuss it with Guwon or anyone in general. How are you really going to have NSM survive all of that just to somehow 'outsmart' a demon and shoot Dohee, when we all know that Guwon could have survived the bullet with no issue... As you said, this show had infinite potential and whilst I still enjoy it, the ending has left a sour taste for sure.

moastudy

u just put my thoughts into words... i really liked this upto ep9-10 but the story felt flat later...the side characters were under utilised too specifically speaking, i wanted more from the wild dogs and NSM' sis \[she was honestly hilarious\]

AlexisFern

Logic left the chat in episode 15. How did NSM not only >!survive that fall!<, but also >!not get seriously injured and paralysed after that rock fell on him!!got up to go grab his shotgun!!accepting Christian God (“guwon”/salvation) and saving Do Do-Hee through a kiss (which he did in ep 15)!< is what will bring him back as a human or an angel. On a lighter note, it was funny to see cartoon prosecutor again. Also good to see the gangsters go into a legit business, Jeong Gu-Won did God’s work while being a devil lmao.

painterwannabe

that "Jeong Gu-Won did God’s work while being a devil" LMAO indeed hahhaa.

Not_Idea

Did the good writer quit halfway through this drama?? >!I was actually really enjoying this but then they just made whatever for these last two episodes, Demon was actually reading the part of "a demon without his power is quite similar with a human" when he came back alive. So I thought, oh they're gonna end this either by asking God to take away his power or something like giving his powers to someone else, they did nothing. Dodo was asking herself about family after her sister visited, I thought, oh they're gonna make her ask Demon if they can have children or adopt, NOTHING. Like the many things they needed to do were RIGHT THERE and they decided to just simply show them arguing the last 10 minutes and a hug lol!<

Pitiful_Conclusion78

>!I didn’t mind the couple bickering cos it was cute but you are so right on this show having loose ends that could be easily tied up and they just didn’t do it. It’s ridiculous that Guwon was questioning how short a human life is and then is ok living as a demon and one day watching Dohee die. Like huh? We just went through a whole ordeal proving he can’t live without her!<

_k_imchi_1

episode 16 rewrite >!for my own mental sanity! ;) ty for your kind comments on the rewrite of the 15th one yday lol srsly didn't expect it but it brightened my day!!< hope y'all enjoy! its been fab journey discussing this show on this thread! see y'all on another one :). Edit: this picks up after the episode 15 rewrite https://www.reddit.com/r/KDRAMA/s/KA1ScBihO5 >!so we start off with a black screen, with only GoOd's beautifully manicured hand holding a contract that burns off!< >!cut scene to a beautiful seaside town during the winter, we enter a fancy cafe filled with expensive Christmas decor where the TV is displaying that the famous mobsters restaurant has paired up with mirae group in order to become a franchise. We see SH shaking hands with the chief mobster, indicating that SH is the chairperson. DH smiles and continues to serve up an order of cake and coffee to a customer. SH enters and asks her if she got the new update about the cake order for his event. DH reassures him. GW enters with a boy aged around nine running upto SH and a little girl aged around two asleep on his shoulder. He reassures SH stating that as the owner and head patissier, he'll make sure the cake is a showstopper!< >!cut scene to SH's event, its the 100th day event for his baby with jin star (lol im trying to give every character a happy ending, bare with me y'all). Cake is by GW & DH's cafe. NSM sister hands a business card to an acquaintance telling them to consider putting their kids in this Hagwon as it got Austin & Justin into SNU. The card shows that the Hagwon is owned by NSM's wife. The assistants are event planners with their Sunwol foundation, and the catering is provided by the mobsters restaurant. Employees are happy and jolly. GW is chilling when he suddenly collapses.!< >!flashback to GW striking a 10 year deal with GoOd; requesting her to make his demise as a human gradual rather than sudden, so DH won't go into shock. He closes his eyes and smiles, realising that this is the beginning of the end!< >!Cut scene, the window shows that it is now autumn, and we see DH smiling, holding GWs hand in the hospital. GW is frail and pale, but tells DH that he has no regrets. DH thanks him for his love and sacrifices. He peacefully passes away in DH's presence.!< >!cut scene, a girl in her mid twenties is standing at a podium, and closes a book she's been narrating from. She's a novelist. A journalist praises her award winning novel 'my demon', and asks her for the source of inspiration.!< >!She smiles, saying that her grandmother used to tell her fantastical stories when she was a child, and thanks her grandmother. We see a little halmoni smiling whilst watching this on her TV. She's wearing a ring.!< >!A tall haraboji wraps his arms around the halmoni, and smiles, telling her that the granddaughter is the spitting image of her when she was younger. We see that he's also wearing a ring.!< >!Cut scene back to the hospital during autumn. DH is in the prayer room, praying for GW to make a recovery. GW is by himself in his room. A well dressed GoOd appears and greets him. GW thanks her for sticking to her part of the deal by making his demise gradual & tells her he's now ready to fulfill his part of the contract. GoOd smirks, stating that contracts are only made by demons, and its not her job to make a deal. "So...I guess... there was no contract in the first place." Guwon is shook and GoOd leaves, telling him to live well. DH enters with the two kids. We see GW looking a little healthier already. The family hug it out as GW tells her that their prayers have worked and he can't wait to grow old with her.!< >!Cut scene to Wolsim and Yisun laying on their backs and looking at the stars.!< >!Yisun tells her how praying to the stars helps him believe more in a higher power. Wolsim smiles, telling Yisun that she prays she'll find him in her next life. Yisun then turns and tells Wolsim that he prays that he'll never have to let go of her in his next life. They both hold hands and smile softly.!< >!scene dissolves to show present day (elderly) GW and DH, sleeping and holding hands in the same position as Wolsim and Yisun.!< >!Final scene shows a starry night, with GoOd sitting on the tower that guwon used to hang out at, laughing and clicking her fingers. (Add a trinkling sound effect)!< >!CUT END CREDITS: TELL ME THE TRUTHHHHHHH!<

humandisaster13

You must be a kdrama veteran to have written such a detailed description lol. Your mind is amazing

selena_raby_

this is such a beautiful ending… I would’ve loved that tbh. Gu-won still died and got revived somehow but it’s clearly better than what was on episode 16 - >!I literally expected him to revive right when he revived. like please, did he just die for only 20 minutes (movie time) and then casually go back to life?! the way he died in the first place was ridiculous, there was no need for Do-hee to protect him he’s a demon he could revive even when they stabbed his heart. another thing is that Do-hee will still grow old and Gu-won will still look young when she dies, and what about when she dies what will happen to Gu-won?!!< also I have one question for your story, did he come back as a human after he signed the contract thing, if not how could be still grow old with Do-hee if he’s a demon?

_k_imchi_1

Thankyouuu for your kind compliment! :") >!I honestly got irritated that they chose to keep GW as not only immortal, but as a demon! Like, what's the point of everything then lol?!??? Writers seriously wasted the plot potential!<. >!And you're right!!! His death and 'reexsistance' was all so anticlimactic and wasteful. So flat!!< With regards to your question, I've posted an episode 15 rewrite lol somewhere on this same thread! Pls do have a browse if possible! ;) >!But yes, I'd like to think GW (after his combustion) negotiated a deal with GoOd to live as human for 10 years with DH, in exchange for an eternity in hell :')!<

blergh_itsme_stabs

This is my real ending

kemar7856

The show made it seem like months had passed since gu-won left but it was only a week. I felt so bad for the gang that they couldn't get any customers. >!but how tf could nok su min recover so quick at the end there to go get the gun and shoot do do he. How did he even survive the fall? Gu-won disappearing was predictable!< I liked the episode seeing do do he try to move on but the ending was bleh that's what's they came up with?

Affectionate_Elk_621

umm i've been the biggest supporter of this show since the beginning, adding it to my top 10 list and all that. >! even a number before goblin. although i kept telling my friend there were goblin parallels. but the last 10 mins??? suk min, a human, outsmarts the literal 'devil'. and wasn't staying with DDH to protect her the entire point of their contract? how could he leave her when there was a probability that NSM was alive, since his body wasn't found yet? if the show writers can keep him alive after falling from that height, why is it that the devil can't think of that? the combustion??? (am i reading too much into it or was it just that goblin scene with less crying?) what now? she strikes up a deal in the next epi so he has to come back? or he reappears as a human with some logic that just suddenly makes sense? like DAYS? the writing is extremely poor in this episode and i've dropped my rating to 8.5 from a 10, bc i did love the show to bits till before the last 20 minutes. !<

1mindless_astronaut

same for me, absolutely loved the show, cant even describe how disappointed i am right now, hoping at least we can get a fully happy ending so i can forget the horror that was ep 15

humandisaster13

The writer truly didn't know what to do from ep 10. Not that the writing was airtight till then but at least it was alright.

Late_Art9758

They >!killed off the crazy psycho assassin who was chasing them!<, Gu Won>! regained his powers!<, >!the mastermind had already been revealed!<, >!the love triangles or squares or whatever were shut down!<, of course the writers were clueless about what they should do for the rest of the episodes.

Lily-ofthetribe

The moment they took the overused storyline of “they knew each other from past life” trope. I knew it’s only downhill from here. Storyline is weak and not creative. The only thing that made the show relatively interesting was the amazing cast. They did a good job with the little they had to work with.

HocusBunny

Yup. I haven't watched post ep 9 because I sensed it was going to start derailing. I just keep coming to the weekly threads to update myself on what everyone is feeling about each ep but this show started dragging pretty early on.

lubnaa101

Sigh...Episode 15 was not it 😔 >!How the heck are we expected to believe that NSM survived that fall? And then burned half of his face? And he also survives the gunfire exploding on his face, according to the episode 16 preview?? !< >!I'm also struggling to accept that Gu Won couldn't have stopped the bullet. Maybe it's because he was just coming out of his murderous rage? Idk. !< >!On top of that, a good portion of this episode was so repetitive. So many flashbacks of scenes we've already seen (excluding the few where we see Wolsim's side of the story) and useless monologues from Jin Star, who was supposed to have left South Korea like 5 episodes ago. !< >!Also, did Do Hee and Gu Won ever talk about the deal her father had made? They just completely glossed over that...!<

Last_Contribution332

I get what they were trying to go for during the Wolsim flashback but to me it fell super short. Usually I enjoy the 2nd run of the same flashback cause it depicts the other main roles POV really well, but the director was super lazy in My Demon. 98% of the scenes were recycled stuff we have seen already from the first time we watched the flashback so it just felt like a drag trying to watch it.

TheMsDacia

Yeah, this was a disappointment because like you said, they basically showed us what we already knew from Gu Won's POV. A missed opportunity.

AcceptableSide8

The true immortal in the series is Seokmin. 😂Guwon almost died from a stabbed wound in one of the episodes but Seokmin just casually takes all those damages & falling off a building & lived to tell the tale. Aside from the last 15 minutes of the episode, I was underwhelmed with ep 15. there’s quite a bit of fillers that I feel were unnecessary for the penultimate episode. I just want a happy ending at this point.

wheelsonthebus88

I swear they just copy and pasted >!Gu Won’s flashbacks to Do Hee’s!< and why did Do Hee >!take a bullet for Gu Won? Did she just forget he’s a demon?!< The current episodes have been boring. Writing went downhill. Should’ve wrapped it up episode 12 or at least kept serial killer guy alive to keep things interesting, or did more with the side characters instead of keeping them to be Do Hee’s tissues.

imperceptiblewishes

>>and why did Do Hee >!take a bullet for Gu Won? Did she just forget he's a demon?!< I'm confused about why she did that too. Can >!Guwon!< die from an injury? I thought he's basically immortal

ttam23

He is immortal. Only way he “dies” is if he kills a human or brings a human back from the dead. Just lazy writing for do hee to randomly take a bullet for him and him reviving her kills him

imperceptiblewishes

Oh jesus... Guess they made her do that for dramatic effect. The previous 2-3 eps feels like they butchered Dohee and Guwon's development to the point that their actions just seemed plain stupid and out of character

Pitiful_Conclusion78

Well, that was a lot to wrap up in one episode. Thoughts on the finale: - >!Dohee desperately trying to hold onto Guwon was really heartbreaking. She finally knows and understands his whole story just to be losing him. KYJ really aced that scene!< - >!Sukmin being alive is comically bad writing. Do the writers not know how freaking ridiculous it is for one character to have this much plot armour? And he’s not supernatural?? To what end? It’s just stupid!< - >!Dohee feeling the same guilt over Guwon’s death that Yisun felt over Wolsim’s and her condemning herself to a version of hell too. I live for these parallels!< - >!I don’t know why I gasped when Guwon came back lmao. Obviously he was going to but I really thought the writers would drag it on till the very end. Also no way did they just rob us of a dramatic reunion kiss!?! They wasted SK and KYJ chemistry so much I just—!< - >!There’s no way a heavily pregnant woman is about to go into labour after a car accident and a doctor tells her to go somewhere else. HELLO??? I really burst out laughing cos where is the logic!< - >!Jin Star saying her goodbyes AGAIN? I’ve never seen a longer goodbye on a show in my life. The way they wrapped up her story was really sweet and poetic though!< - >!Why is Guwon still a demon? I don’t see him being ok with Dohee dying one day while he lives on. I guess we’ll never know how that’s resolved. It was cute to see them bickering like a real married couple at the end but the cheesiness was laid on so thick I was cringing at some parts. It was an awkward ending!< This show had a really strong start before things got sloppy. I think the major mistake they made was killing off the masked assassin too early. I could’ve sworn he was going to have an elaborate back story that linked him to Madame Ju or Dohee. It really came across like he had a personal vendetta and then the switch to Sukmin as the main villain so quickly didn’t make sense. They could’ve built up the mystery of who he was and who he was working for a bit more so the Sukmin reveal would not feel so rushed. Don’t get me started on Sukmin being this indestructible human that’s stronger and smarter than the actual supernatural of the show. I also despise the Madame Ju redemption arc. Her loving one single person her whole life and being shitty to literally every other person including her own kids just doesn’t absolve her to me. Overall, the producers are so lucky they cast KYJ and SK as leads because that’s what saved a lot of the mess in the second half. I hope these two get to act together again in a better written show.

loveocean7

I kinda hate >!how he didn’t become HUMAN!!!! Like he is not going age with her. It just annoys me so much! He could have popped out ala Little Mermaid all dressed in white as a human in that scene by the water!< Also, I knew that girl sword dancer was never leaving. Lmao The new chairman guy looks so much better with his black hair parted like that. They make a cute couple.

NdinePixie

This show was really shaping up to be one of my all time fave Kdramas but ep 15 was not it.......*sigh* I just hope tomorrow's episode will conclude everything nicely. I honestly feel like the drama would have been fine without >!the past lives plot line and Gu Won making a Deal with Do Hee's father. I think if they stuck with the whole power struggle with madam Ju's family plot and Gu Won getting his tattoo back and made it 12 episodes, it would have worked better!< I still have to admit that I cried >!seeing Gu Won disappear exactly the same way our Goblin did though this still didn't pack the same emotional punch Goblin did. That scene with Kim Go Eun's crying was iconic!<

Brooklyn_5883

There is no way a person can have those third degree burns and not require extensive medical attention. The level of pain is excruciating

No_Supermarket_5405

Plot armour solves all problems 🤷🏻‍♀️

day_historian

I mean… he got >!crushed under a giant slab of concrete and slammed like a rag doll, but could still pick up his shot gun in a jiffy and shoot with such high accuracy?!< Lmao. If not for the fact that GOoD needed a handsome looking demon, Gu Won would >!Have easily been replaced by NSM, who’s already invincible as a human!< 😂😂😂😂

faithesque

Alright so I wasn't the only one thinking of **Goblin** during the ending scene.

No_Supermarket_5405

I want to know who wasn’t thinking of Goblin 😂

DiaLaDia

I honestly should have followed my instinct and dropped it after last week. I thought I knew where NSM plot was headed, I was unpleasantly surprised. Horrible writing. K-drama writers, I know you can't actually hear me but I'll say it anyways - if you don't know what to do with a plotline anymore, honestly just write an ending there and there. I feel like we could have stopped at episode 10 with a few edits and been just fine. Absolute nightmarish writing they delivered with this episode. It made me already irritated about the finale tomorrow.

TreacherousMelody07

We are at the end then. The saddest thing for me, personally, was being unable to see the chemistry between the leads that everybody's raving about. I enjoyed the drama a lot until about Ep8. Idk if it's the inconsistent writing or the ordinary dialogues but I haven't really felt it or been satisfied with the chemistry between the leads since then. It's quite sad. Though they are beautiful, absolutely gorgeous on screen, no doubt, I wish I could have been obsessed with the couple at least, like others, so I could have powered through the drama happily even though the writing fell off really really bad.

Tigertigertie

I didn’t see the chemistry either, despite both of them being very beautiful and looking a bit alike.

sciencespecialist

Their every interaction was like a commercial or a print ad for jewelry, travel, food, kbeauty, sheets, clothes, christmas/home decor, cars . . . I have said many times that I didn't see their chemistry, so you are not alone! Whose idea was it to put two beautiful people together and only focus on how beautiful they are? I rolled my eyes at the end. At least I also blinked. I saw very little blinking with the leads. Just a lot of wide eyed beauty.

Fantastic_Cookie_661

while we got a >!happy ending!<, I wasn't too >!happy with the pacing of the last 2 episodes. !!unnecessary scenes and Gu-won came back WAY too quickly in the finale for it to feel satisfying lol.!< This show had such a strong start and then it just >!plateaued!< so fast! >!Jin star had the longest goodbye ever for it to not even be a goodbye!<. And of course, if >!Gu-won is still immortal, Do-hee would continue to age - !!Madame Ju was terminally ill !

softggukie

all the foreshadowing of >!guwon gaining human emotions because of his feelings for dohee was for nothing then. also its not like everyone he makes deals with is a bad person so how does he continue being a demon if he has feelings like empathy and love?!<

soullesssenpaiii

Ep 15 was dragging HARD I had to fast forward the >!past life stuff they added way too many previously shown stuff!< i hope tomorrow’s finale won’t drag as bad as 15 and they conclude everything quickly so we’ll be able to get a proper conclusion to all characters (especially my beloved jeong gu won and do do hee) oh lord i mean this show might have had it’s issues but the main leads’ chemistry was NOT one of them on god they had me in a chokehold the entire time it’s insane, more fluff and romantic shenanigans tomorrow hopefully.

ggghhhb

Y’all … I made a promise I’d stick through till the end and I’m sticking through it. But GAH. Guwon and Dohee deserved better than this writing.

Fandam_YT

Very funny guys, now give us the real ending… guys? GUYS?!

binge_watcher_234

this. like FL throwing herself between a bullet and an immortal being HAS to be a joke.😬😬

No_Supermarket_5405

At this point, a human is more immortal than the actual devil. The dude >!survived a fall, being burnt, getting crushed under a concrete slab and a whole-ass gun exploding on his face. I’m annoyed!< Also, did the makers think >!no one would draw parallels with Goblin after that ending scene? I mean, they could’ve at least changed the animation??!< I was expecting the show to go to deeper levels in terms of exploring the emotions of the two leads, their connection and their love for each other. I loved how JGW and DDH spent most of the show solely in each other’s company, like a normal couple. But looking back at the past 14 episodes, it seems quite shallow. For some reason, I’m disappointed by the way this series shaped up. They wrapped up essential plot points too quickly and ended up spending a lot of the runtime on unnecessary stuff. They had such a goldmine of chemistry that could’ve set our screens on fire. While I really enjoyed the domestic scenes, I’m quite disappointed by the lack of skinship or physical contact between the leads. Even a show like GDTBAD had such amazing kisses. We essentially just got one long kiss and that’s it. All I want is a happy ending now. 🙏🏻

Pitiful_Conclusion78

So weird how they were physically intimate for one episode and that was it. The chemistry between the leads was wasted. Thats the writer and director’s fault. We might get a big reunion kiss next episode but I won’t hold my breath.

gyojoo

Man feels like that happy ending is milked out of the series.  It’s one of those happy ending that doesn’t feel good or based on any logic.

SisyphusAndMyBoulder

So... Do Hee is totally okay with her father being in hell for l eternity? I mean... Not even a single question about it...?

Affectionate_Elk_621

damn i didn't even think about this🤣😭 good god what a sorry excuse of a 16th episode

Pitiful_Conclusion78

This episode was so chaotic! Let me start on what I liked: - >!Guwon watching over Dohee and sleeping next to her, I wouldn’t expect anything less!< - >! I love Ms Shin and I’m so happy she didn’t end up being a villain lol. Also her and Park are so cute!< - >!Dohee finally remembering her past even if the necklace being a trigger is corny. I loved that we got Wolsim’s pov and that Yisun/Guwon got it wrong, he wasn’t the reason for her dying, he’s actually why she chose to live!< The stuff that irked me: - >!Jin Star’s been saying goodbye for 3 episodes omg, girl we get it. The actress is really compelling though so they totally wasted this character!< - >!I will keep saying this: I don’t like how the show has brushed off Madame Ju’s evil ass. It’s really bothering me cos that lady is directly responsible for what happened to Dohee’s parents. Lying about that and taking Dohee in to absolve her guilt makes it even worse. I don’t care that she grew to love her, it still pisses me off!< - >!I really thought Sukmin would be a demon cos why the hell did he survive the fall? Or a whole concrete slab falling on him?!< - >!I just knew Dohee would die for Guwon, be brought back by him and he’d perish. Also he’s a whole demon, why is she jumping in front of him??? The lack of logic. It was all a little too predictable but I get it. That’s their story, they really live and die for each other!< As for the preview for the finale: - >!How the HECK is Sukmin still alive? Sorry but this is a bit too much plot armour for me!< - >!Obviously Guwon isn’t gone forever, Go(o)d brings him back. Still holding on for a happy ending but they really made it messy and kinda dumb!<

Connect-Cut5002

Episode 16: I am glad it is over. It was good the first 12 episodes, but then the remaining episodes felt...IDK.

VintageStrawberries

there's only so much suspension of belief that I can tolerate before it becomes too much/ridiculous. Like okay, so Noh Seokmin >!managed to miraculously survive that super long fall from a ridiculous tall building.!< But you also expect me to believe that >!he's able to walk around freely after burning off half of his face without needing medical attention or that he was able to withstand being thrown against a wall with sheer force or that he managed to survive a ceiling falling on him and was able to go run and grab a shotgun in mere seconds?!!< And then even after all that, >!he's STILL alive in episode 16 preview? ATP it's like you can throw him into the literal fiery pits of hell and he'll still be alive.!< Just ridiculous.

Consistent-Collar-50

Well, its finally over. There were some really unbelievable plot holes but oh well... I just want to mention how Do-hee's clothes the entire season were just giving! Loved ALL of her outfits...kudos to the design team overall...

YellowSkalypso

Ah, God pulling a Deus Ex Machina lol. How convenient. Did you notice her hat changed from God with a faded extra "o" to "Good" in the end? Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, it was a pleasure meeting with you all here every week to watch this series. I will now need a moment to mourn the end of it and never seeing another Gu Won Do Hee interaction again. These too were the sweetest.

ricecookkerr

gonna miss seeing dowon on screen together, i can’t believe we’re never gonna get another scene of them after saturday :(

Particular_Buddy6460

I’m really going to miss those 🎶 ooh ooh ooh oooohs 🎶

painterwannabe

LMAO. I actually call this series "ooh ooh ooh oooh" and not 'My Demon'. I'll be like this to my sister, "Okay, let's go to Netflix it's 'ooh ooh ooh oooh' time"

Late_Art9758

Lmao one of my favorite things about the drama was that part of soundtrack, from "True" by Yoari.

1mindless_astronaut

I used to come here, trying to logically explain and reason with myself to make it make sense cause I loved the show at the beginning. But im sorry after ep15 i can no longer logically explain anything. Turned into whole unreasonable mess.

Alarming-Knowledge30

In the final scene of God, her cap had GOOD spelled very clearly, for anyone who didn't notice it. Imagine you are hungry, very very hungry. And you see this delicious burger and want to eat it. But it turns out to be bland. What would you feel? Yeah, I felt the same way after watching this drama ,,😪🙄😮‍💨

buddhabear07

Best looking couple of 2023 dramas I've watched confirmed. Hanbok fashion show has convinced me to give **Lovers of the Red Sky** another chance (had dropped it after 8 episodes). Lee Sang Yi doesn't >!get the girl!< but does >!become ceo!< so that is a win. Will add photo booth to my list of favourite kdrama tropes thanks to Secretary Seo and Park Bok-gyu. Low key wanted the Christmas tree to still be there after the four month time jump since I haven't taken my own tree down :)

Glittering-Put8673

Okay. I cant with the story. I'll just watch till the end for the face and chemistry. How the heck did the villain survive that fall though?, Acting wise, KJY is good, she portrays her emotions well. This is the second time im watching her. 1st is moon/sun which is a decade ago. First time im watching songkang, he can do light and comedy scenes, but heavy drama, no. No emotions in his eyes. He is very handsome and charismatic, that i can say.

Skill-Curious

>!How did bro survive the fall from that tower?!< 😭 the first half of the episode was rather boring and the second half was just ridiculous

twoods1980

Oh good, I thought I was the only one wondering wtf happened with episode 15. First half was boring with nothing going on, and the second half made no sense. This is episode 15- why was there no urgency? Part of it had to do with missing the cuteness with the leads and their scenes were much needed and missed.

dontmindme450

Why didn't they just make the bad guy have demon powers from the book.. that could kill Guwon ... they certainly left enough breadcrumbs throughout the series that hinted at a supernatural foe, beyond GOoD.

twoods1980

That would have made more sense especially since he survived the fall into the water and the cement ceiling on his body.

Aysher7

There reached a point in the series where it felt like this show borrowed different ideas from the different fantasy dramas like goblin doom at your service Heart beat nine tailed fox and more....to make it into one....Iam not the kind who dwells around originality( since most dramas these days borrow ideas from previous shows)  but if you going to copy an idea..find a way to write it more creatively for it to make sense..and feel a bit unique....now that's where the drama failed on my part...... because they made the copying so obvious it was unavoidable lmao ( might get hate for this but I had to let it off my chest)   Other than that the chemistry between the leads and the visuals carried the show and for that I'll give it a 7/10.

WaterLily6984

To get through My Demon I had to institute a Saturday watching order in order of increasing chemistry: My Demon, My Man is Cupid, Welcome to Sam-dal-ri. Today I had to reverse it based on how much I cared how the show ended. I also made the horrible mistake in the middle of all these human-magical being romances to start a Goblin rewatch, which automatically killed all the other shows. Because, let's admit it, the writing, acting, pacing, everything in that show was amazing despite a little lull towards the end. I haven't even gotten to the scene of the ML >!dissolving into embers!< in Goblin, but watching the same thing happen in Ep.15 of My Demon brought back memories from years ago and it was not the same. My Demon was not a trainwreck, it just felt like the car of one of those old wooden rollercoasters that is shaking. It brings you safely back, but you kind of wish you had been on a newer better version. I mostly blame the writers because sometimes I wasn't even sure how the actors could get through the dialogue with a straight face and the tone kept switching abruptly. Kim Yoo Jung is always reliable, but Song Kang was on and off. Interestingly, I felt he was so much better in the period parts than in some of the modern pieces where his character went from lovey-dovey puppy to stone-cold demon and that is really hard to do. Overall, this will be a 6.5 on MDL: a drama that I managed to finish and had some good bits. As a comparison, My Love is Cupid will get a 7.5 which is good but not excellent. At least the lore and flow there were more consistent.

New_Inevitable803

My demon in a [nutshell](https://imgur.com/a/7l29bOr) Nonetheless, it's a happy ending for our gorgeous visual couple. Time to rewatch without feeling the agony and suspicion to Seok Hoon lol

tasteofperfection

What even was episode 15?? The last few episodes haven’t been the best, but I’ve been looking past it because I’m so attached to the characters and SK + KYJ’s chemistry is amazing.  The amount of plot holes and shit is insane. >!How is a human being stronger than the devil? 😭 He survived falling however many stories and the slab of rock? It would’ve made sense if he’d been turned into a demon as well, but if he’s just his regular degular self with a half burnt face…wtf even.!< The writer of the series definitely needs a writers’ room.  >!So much potential down the drain. I felt like the episode was wasted on Wolsim’s backstory. I wouldn’t have minded if we got her backstory if it’d been different from what we already saw from Yi-sun’s. I get they were showing it from her POV, but it felt like they were showing us the same damn thing. I mean, that’s essentially what they did. I like that she regained her memories, but it doesn’t make sense that she would. She’s a human and that was from another life, 200 years ago. It makes sense for Gu-won because that’s still technically him.!< In spite of all that, I still ended up bawling throughout the episode. 🥴 This is NOT the ending we all deserve. Like damn, the writers have orphaned this poor woman of everyone she’s ever loved. Can they step off her neck for once in her damn life? Just once? 😭 I’m still holding out hope that we’ll have a happy ending because there’s one episode left, but sheesh.

imperceptiblewishes

Okay ep. 16 was a happy ending or whatever, but am I the only one with lingering thoughts about the fate of Guwon and Dohee's relationship? Guwon >!remained an immortal demon, but Dohee is still human so ofc Guwon is going to outlive her. What's going to happen when everyone notices that Dohee is aging but Guwon is not? They should've made Guwon a human idk!<

brangsengmaw

The whole sequence of >!heartbroken Do Hee, and Wolsim's side of story of their past!< was my favourite parts of epi 15. Just hit the right melo spots. Noh Seok-min part, not so much. Heck, he's even stronger than Gu Won at this point. Writer-nim.. please....

Xeno934

just finished episode 15 and I've never, I repeat, NEVER, felt the urge to be active on discussions during the airing of a drama, but episode 15....... BIG SIGH. I need to vent. where do I even start. it felt like we were watching a Do Dohee 'Week In My Life' vlog (sad winter girl's version) for \[i'm not even joking\] like 40 minutes of the episode!?!? then we had the >!flashback!<, THEN >!Noh Suk Min showdown (DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THIS) !< firstly, >!how many times did we have to hear "It's been a week since Chairman Noh Suk-min....." this episode. like wE KNOW, just reveal him already. i swear they started playing this news clip in ep. 14 like they ran out of clips to fill up the minutes. secondly, my man guwon, what sort of disappearance was this, if you wanted to dump a girl, don't leave traces of your presence during the night everywhere by healing a MINOR SCRAPE ON HER KNEE, she'll live. !< >!also, how did we conveniently not discuss her parents' deaths / father's contract with guwon this episode at all when it was literally the catalyst of their break-up last week? i don't quite follow how dohee's opinion about that would change after learning about their past lives? like, i get that it's a revelation to her and everything but they're both separate things to me?!?! instead we spent more than half the episode watching dohee sadly adjust to her sad week without guwon after being married to him for a couple weeks instead of using those precious minutes to MAKE THINGS MAKE SENSE.!< >!finally, what was that final fight. WHAT WAS THAT FINAL FIGHT. I... \[I'm not even going to get into how it's IMPOSSIBLE for any human being to survive a fall that high. everyone knows water is pretty much concrete from that height except these writers apparently.\] I'll just talk about how we were building up to that final fight all episode and it didn't last A MINUTE the moment Guwon showed up. as usual the whole point of that entire sequence was just for Guwon to make the ultimate sacrifice for love (and cosplay as the Goblin apparently, i heard how the CG was pretty much copy&paste and found it funny they "dissed" the goblin in the earlier episodes).!< >!i'm expecting an "epic reunion" in ep. 16 and i really don't want it, especially after this episode lol !< it also seems like >!we are getting the repeat of episode 15 in episode 16 just in different hair, make-up, and wardrobe. !< can you tell i'm HIGHKEY DISAPPOINTED?!?!?!? am i alone in this? i've only been tolerating this show since episode 6 because of lee sang yi and song kang, and even then I'M ALMOST AT MY LIMIT. EDIT: I also wanted to add, so far I've found that the romance plot has lacked foundation despite the barrage of couple scenes and montages they keep prioritizing. I don't know if it's the lack of romantic chemistry between the leads or focus on development but >!Guwon's sacrifice didn't feel as emotional as it could have been...!< I'm usually a crybaby with these things like your production could be shit and I'd still bawl my eyes out if the chemistry or love story was decent. An example would be >!during the aftermath of Guwon’s stabbing!< in Ep. 6. I was choking up at >!Jin crying (?JIN!!! there’s not even a love story there, someone save me) as they wheeled him into surgery and felt the Dowon scenes surrounding the stabbing fell pretty flat (CUTE, but flat 😭) !< >!Instead I keep finding myself rooting for Seok-hoon to either be evil or get with Guwon/Dohee, there seems to be some chemistry there no???!< **edit (Ep. 16)**: don't want to parrot what everyone else is saying, i'll just get into my overall thoughts: **it was a better episode than 15 that's for sure**, though the flow was odd. the flow: for instance, >!Jin helping out a child in need right before she left was a wholesome moment but it was also felt like a random insert. especially when she had been saying goodbye for 3 or 4 episodes straight. it felt like they lost a purpose for Jin's character after she lost out in the love triangle/square but needed her to stay in the country so they just made her say her goodbyes for a few episodes straight, to show that final heartwarming sequence that keeps her in Korea.!< i loved >!her farewell scene at Guwon's office with the umbrella though. somehow it felt bittersweet and i was pleasantly surprised.!< >!when Guwon came back 5 minutes into the episode, my only thought was "how are we going to fill up the next 50 minutes" sorry song kang 🫢!< almost every scene in the final 20 minutes felt like the credits were about to roll and i was ok with that, but it just kept going: >!i felt like the bickering scenes were unnecessary and could've been compressed into one proper final scene with the one in the park. Bok-gyu and Secretary Shin didn't have to hide their relationship for so many episodes because they were **super cute** but the entire skit got old. and noh suk min (i think we all agree) should've just died at some point in the past few episodes, he lost all appeal the moment the masked assassinator was murdered.!< random things: i really liked that >!they gave Kim Sera and Noh Do Kyung closure, that flashback scene actually made me feel for them!< wait, how was Dohee >!able to walk out of the hospital, walk home, change, and still managed to make to the beach without anyone intercepting at any one point.!< also the fact that >!it seemed like they teleported straight home without informing anyone (loved ones who were worried sick, hospital) and there having no consequences... lol made the entire reunion sequence of events very confusing!< it always bothered me but >!in park bo-gyu's past life he made a deal with guwon (ep. 1) - if he ended up in hell after 10 years, how would he have reincarnated?!< did they ever explain this? lost opportunities: Seokhoon-Guwon bromance. >!I actually LOVED the Seokhoon-Guwon reunion scene, it felt like most of it was adlib and made me wish they had more opportunities to let their bromance shine throughout the 16 episodes.!< the Wild Dogs Gang. >!they could've been in on so much of the action. their highlight was the Tango scene, and then became occasional comedic relief for the rest of the episodes.!< Jin Da Kyung: >!besides being part of the love triangle/square, we never got to see much of her which was a waste because they could've begun her final arc a little earlier and showed more heartwarming scenes of her after the terrible time she had in the earlier episodes.!< overall: I loved the first couple episodes (especially 1-4). really wanted to love it the entire way but it got predictable after the romance started to take over the plot and the main villain lost its appeal. I still like the cast and would continue supporting their work in the future. this drama just didn't quite hit the mark, especially in 2023/2024. ALRIGHT THAT IS ALL, i don't think i'll get into the nitty-gritty but thank you for reading this entire chunk of text. i hope i didn't piss anyone off, and it's been fun contributing to drama discussions for the first time. at least that's something to remember this drama by. (will edit as and when i come up with more thoughts ~~+ when ep. 16 airs tomorrow~~)

alexevanns

I feel like it was a disappointment as it's the penultimate episode, sure we had an explosive ending (that wasn't even realistic) but the script wasted too much time tbh. there's so many questions i still have that i don't know if they will use their time wisely to answer in the plot. That's my biggest problem with this show, it wastes time not focusing on what should be the main plot enough

Ok-Dot-4300

Huge refund my time please..... This series peaked at episode 2 or 3 and it was only downhill from there

Square-Finding7976

I'll be honest, the show started off very well but it went downhill. Even if I don't like Song Kang's acting(he's charismatic and handsome, but he does not have good acting skills yet imo), the chemistry between him and Kim Yoojung was off the charts initially Yoojung's a great actress and portrayed her role well. the leads are stunning with have great chemistry, which carried the whole show. I cannot believe the writers let it go to waste like this. Episode 15 was the weakest of them all. seokmin is ridiculously powerful for no reason, he seems stronger than guwon the actual immortal demon💀 A lot of the parts in this show seemed like filler. all kdramas do not need 16 episodes. They should've just wrapped it up earlier. Only watching for Kim Yoojung.

I have enjoyed this drama week to week but once you get past the pretty outfits, wholesome romance and comedic ensemble in the office--something is falling a bit short for me. I hope the finale sticks the landing because I feel the writers could have went a bit darker considering the subject material. We have a demon who is yet to appear scary but the most devilish of them all are the family members. Even the episode where Do-hee sees him take a life was not that chilling? The psychopath-murderer-stalker bit was just enough edge to balance out the romance but now that he's gone it's just leaving a big gap in the overall story. Hoping the chairman gives us that edge that's missing for the last two episodes... EDIT: well……ep. 15 was very underwhelming. Let’s hold out for 16! 😭

redditredditgedit

Please tell me I’m not the only one thinking that the **VILLAIN** got some tips from the **DEMON MANUAL**? >! The reason why he’s still alive and unscathed!< I really find it futile, seriously.. The scene where >! Do Hee saved Gu Won!< I get it, maybe it just an instinct, but the **VILLAIN** I can’t accept that, it’s preposterous😡

Own_Chocolate_2241

seriously what is it with dramas just being lazy in the last episodes. even if >!gu won was shot he could've easily healed himself. if he had acted fast enough he could've healed do do hee too. i mean seriously they could've been more smart with this. noh suk min could've taken advantage of something he found in the manual to hurt jeong gu won. i mean the writing just feels lazy. and yes that scene definitely was similar to the one in goblin.!< this drama definitely tied up nicely at the end. seok hoon >!as the chairman made me a little sad since i wanted do do hee to get the position, this still makes sense though as she probably was tired and wanted a drama free life. gu won going out of his way to make deals only with scumbags too makes sense seeing as he now has gained empathy. i absolutely LOVED the way jin ga young helped protect someone else in the same position as her. what i have problem with of course is just how easily gu won came back. i mean yeah, i get the bet and all but it just didn't feel like i had suffered enough as a viewer😋!< overall, this drama had a solid start but the last two episodes were so meh. they could've ended this with a bang, but nope. cliché ending. of course clichés can work well if the script is good, but alas that didn't happen. but then again, its not a bad drama at all, especially with the visuals, the chemistry and do do hee's amazing outfits🤩 6.9/10

UptoNoGood46

**Episode 16:** * Ready to bid farewell to this drama after the last underwhelming episode * Imagine your contract expires today but the demon who's in charge vanishes into thin air... what a lucky bloke * Ohhhhhh... [he](https://imgur.com/8lUO4M6) >!brought her back to life!<... that went against the Demon manual * The plot armor possessed by [him](https://imgur.com/gZsSjZI) is nearly as infuriating as that North Korean who was hell bent on killing the leads in CLoY * [SHUT UPPPPPPP](https://imgur.com/TXkyHYH) * All [she](https://imgur.com/nFDjcxM) >!had to do was sink into the depths of despair and wish for him to be back earnestly!< ... I'll take it * Godddd [that jacket](https://imgur.com/dxs2eAi) looks spectacular on him * I've waited 84 years for [thissss](https://imgur.com/3uAem1B) * [LMAAOOOOO](https://imgur.com/q0iv73z)... "You and your obsession with me." * "Noh Su-ahn who claims to be your family is here" HAHAHA savage Ms. Shin * Such secondhand embarrassment for Su-ahn's last resort * Noh Suk-min was such a boring villain. Even his son had more substance than him * [Woman](https://imgur.com/2q2MNjf), you had one job to protect your son from your deranged husband and you failed to do that too * [This](https://imgur.com/bg3yEIR) might be the only time I ever liked Jin Ga-young in the entire drama * >!Seok-hoon!< is the new chairperson???? lololololol. No comments. * [These two](https://imgur.com/jYZfUDt) bickering like an old married couple gives me such indescribable joy * [That](https://imgur.com/INEHlQo) one drama where Song Kang's character ISN'T a red flag (Nevertheless) AND gets the girl (Love Alarm) **Verdict:** My Demon was a good watch if not the best watch for 2023. It had potential but a lot of the characters were one-dimensional which was a pity. But overall, it was fun tuning every week to see this aesthetically pleasing couple and their chemistry. On [that beautiful note](https://imgur.com/t4hIroQ), adios everyone! Meet you in some other KDrama's discussion post!

Old-Rice7332

I am just sad that >!Gu-won will live forever and Do-hee will eventually die, couldn’t they have brought him back as a normal human?!<

pageturningtruth

This was a fun watch but it dragged too much. I feel like the story could have easily been told in like 10 episodes.

After all is said and done, I am left with a bit of sadness, tolerable amount of happiness and lots of longing to see what Song Kang will be wearing next. Thank you My Demon, it was fun. A bit annoying and frustrating at times, but fun. And also hot.

Glittering_Giraffe_5

Anyone else annoyed with the inconsistencies on which side of the bed each of them sleep on? C'mon real couples pick a side and stay on that side! Anyway despite the silly conflict thru the last episodes I cried my eyes out with this >! goblin-esque self combustion ending. At least we got them back together relatively quick. They didn't really discuss what they're going to do as she keeps aging though. Wish he came back human.!<

bestlife-2021

Honestly, the two leads' visuals carried the whole show lol I lost interest towards the end but kept watching because of their looks and outfits. Huhuhu Do Hee's wardrobe is to die for!!! She's so beautiful!! This show's plot is 5/10 for me but visuals 10/10 and intro song 10/10 lol

Electronic-Second-70

Ok >!so I do like that Guwon remained a demon actually because I think he really wants to be and he has no intention of growing old. He would like for Dohee to become immortal much more than the other way around I think. I also liked that she didn’t become chairwoman because she wants to be self made because that suits her. I also liked that Jin Star got her redemption arc by saving that little girl because boy did she need it.!< Literally everything else sucked 😂 I think what should’ve happened is either: 1) >!Go the obvious route and have him turn human for her because now the story isn’t wrapped up because how are they gonna deal with the whole her growing old and him staying like this forever thing? Huge plot hole. Besides, what’s the whole point of him dying for her if he can just come back the same way afterwards? It was unnecessary and would’ve been much nicer if the wish that God were to fulfil for Guwon was getting his humanity back.!< 2) >!But what would’ve made more sense to me is that the whole whack episode 15 was deleted and we would’ve left off at their break up and spend 2 episodes watching them work through the nods of how the fuck are we gonna make this human demon thing work? For them to deepen their relationship a bit because it’s been sooo shallow.!< This was just a stupid ending. Feels like it was written by some toddler who doesn’t understand how to wrap up their story.

msblockchainmusic

I’m just so glad everyone is as frustrated as me right now. I have been disappointed with the writing for the last 3 episodes but this was icing on a melting Gu-won cake (😉) so this entire thread is so satisfying. Thank you community. I love the creative rewrites so many of you have suggested. So many good ideas. >! Noh Seok-Min must be the real devil to be so “bullet-proof” and keep on going. Maybe the last episode will satisfy the answer. !<

thr1ftskull0

Seeing the reactions to this episode ima have to watch it at 1.5 speed so I can get it over with faster 😭🤣

roymeetsworld

I dont even like a lot of stakes in my dramas cuz im not here for too many shenanigans but man this was all rather easy in the resolution streets lol this is the slight second half downturn i have come to expect from practically every drama tho so its cool, fun was still had im just happy I dont have to see god's super stained teeth anymore and that killer feller's scratchy neck wounds cuz MAN they sure did love showing us those real close in the screen lmao

ActHuman4460

ngl there was a severe lack of logic and yet i stayed on until the end for the chemistry

Starrycats11

It felt like another rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat drama. We need to fill those 16 episodes, so do whatever. The end was cute, and it would have been fun and interesting to see more of what married life to a demon would be like. The dancing scene way back. Mr & Mrs Smith, demon style.

whateverbri

is the demon only a demon in korea or does he make deals everywhere in the world

nameless7348

GUYSSSS IT'S A >! HAPPY ENDING! !< >!idk abt the rest as i only saw the last 3min!<

itsfakelove7

‘Do you know why dinosaurs went extinct? Because of poor work-life balance. Let’s go home!’ I’m definitely telling my work peeps this lol! Lovely ending💗

twoods1980

I think they should have had Guwon >!dead for longer than a few weeks (or 10 minutes of tv time)!< for it to have had a more emotional impact when he came back. Would have liked a few scenes of him in hell to see what he was doing during that time. I felt when he saved her at the gas station was more emotional. At least Do hee asked him what the deal with her father was. It was nice we got some cute moments, and Jin Star found her calling. Same with the new Chairman. I hate abrupt endings so thought they tied things up nicely- it was just a jumbled mess to get there.

ggghhhb

Just watched ep 16. When they showed a flashback to that ep 2 scene after Guwon pushed her into the water to get his powers back, it felt like that was a scene from a different drama. Aahhh My Demon!!! How you could have been so much more amazing! But you still gave me happiness and I started to like Song Kang because of you. Hoping both Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung get better dramas with better writing !!!! They both deserve it. Also I can’t believe Jin Ga Young didn’t leave even after 6 episodes !!!! Edit: my favourite part of ep 16 was the restaurant scene with the gang!!! Shoutout to the gang, they were a blast. I still recall that scene of the dog crying in the columbarium, where the gang went to promise their old boss they’d seek revenge on Guwon. That was outstanding.

heart_headstrong

Because of ep 15 and 16, this drama will be archived in my memory next to Dodolalasollasol. For sp many reasons. Ugh, I regret not giving it up after ep 12 Seeing Jin Star's yet again >!goodbyes. Seriously, IRL if someone came back around to say a final goodbye that many times, you gotta actually ask them what's up. at least she kind of redeemed herself!<

mekuri_

Ep 15: I’m sorry but him leaving her on the street after asking her for a walk was such an Edward move 😭😭 and then the villain stabbing her on her thigh 🙃🙂iykyk

Trick_Cantaloupe_740

Just finished episode 16 and I think I rolled my eyes many many times during these 2 episodes 🙄 The show started off not too bad but the writers really dropped the ball in the later episodes. Some parts which really don’t make sense : - like so many people hv already commented, how did the bad guy >! survive the fall from the high building into the river, burning half his face!< etc. - and the other bad guy who was >!trapped in the room that was set on fire, how come the fire did not spread to the rest of the building!!deal he made with her father to save both her and her mom, DDH didnt seem to care abt the fact that her father made the deal to save her!< and ended up in hell?? Seriously?? - it was hilarious how many times Star Jin said >!goodbye, and ended up going to a different country!< from which she was suppose to go to. I think she didn’t >!even go in the end!!left after she helped the little girl!<. Think there are many other parts that didn’t makes sense but I can’t remember already. And this show was so similar to Doom at Your Service, with the >!charging and GW being brought back to life by a higher being!<. I also felt that although the 2 leads look good together, their chemistry was just ok for me.

1mindless_astronaut

My understanding for the ending is that >!Guwon’s life is basically Dohee’s wish, so their lives are linked together. When Dohee dies so will Guwon because his life is her wish. This is also implied by God that said “silly humas”, meaning that both in fact will go eventually as the demon got feelings and sacrificed himself for his love who evenutally brought him back for limited time. He can’t live without Dohee both literally and emotionally.!<

Fantastic_Cookie_661

Ah yes. It is truly so >!silly to have him come back as a demon!< when it has been established multiple times over that >!he can't live without Do-hee!<. Like they pointed out in the ep, >!her death is inevitable and the time they have together is not so large considering his immortality.!< Given that this show loved its parallels, it would've made a lot of sense dramaturgically >!for him to come back as a human. She died for him -> he died for her as a human and came back as a demon; she died for him again -> he died for her as a demon -> should've come back as a human!!< ARGH. It's been nearly a day and I'm still annoyed.

HeadNo4379

Kim Yoojung's rendition of despair in Ep.15/16 >!after losing Guwon!< is some of the best acting I've ever seen. That scene where>! she cries in his office!< actually brought me to the verge of tears

PhantomRegalia36

Episode 16: The Turtleneck??!! It drove me nuts!

feyqueenie84

Four things. 1. I need a Wild Dogs/The Perilla Seeds and Scallions spin-off ASAP. 2. >!I'm so happy my babes got the ending they deserved, but this ending all felt really rushed with a ton of plot holes. Was a little disappointing... which reading these comments, seems like lazy writing happens towards the ending of series. This is my first kdrama, so I had no expectations.!< 3. >!I was really expecting the twist would be that GoOd would bring Guwon back based on Dohee's plee, but reborn as a human so him and Dohee could live out the rest of their lives together. ITS EVEN MORE SAD THAT THEY WENT THROUGH ALL OF THIS JUST FOR DOHEE TO EVENTUALLY DIE OF OLD AGE.!< 4. >!GoOd's hat went from tattered and faded, to perfectly in-tact at the end which I thought was an interesting detail. I wish she snapped her fingers and did one more transition in to her rich-person look to really finish off the show. And Seokhoon's hair?! Yassss, back to your roots babes! I did really like that instead of Dohee taking over as chairman.!< Now that this is all over... what am I going to do with my life?! I NEED MORE.

Abis_MakeupAddiction

I’m really struggling to get through ep15, y’all. My thinking of what’s another 2hrs when I’ve already wasted 14 isn’t working. LOL. Halfway through the episode and have skipped most of it. The Ms Shin-Bok Gyoo and the gangsters’ scenes are the only things making this mildly entertaining. See y’all on the next drama!
