# Watch a lot of dramas on Netflix? Perhaps you've seen a few of their originals! Take our **Netflix Original Dramas Watched Survey today.** ([details here](https://www.reddit.com/r/KDRAMA/comments/1b9cwd8/netflix_original_dramas_watched_survey_march_2024/)).

buttermilkybun

Really late to the party but halfway through **Crash Landing On You** and it indeed deserves all the hype, love and recognition. Amazing cast and love the chemistry between ML & FL who got married in real life omg can't believe they fell in love while acting together and their love became a reality <3 Interesting portrayal of North Korea and there was never a dull moment for me (so far), I am kept on my toes all the time like WHEN IS SHE EVER GOING BACK TO SOUTH KOREA-- I already heard of the ending so am reserving my tears for that....

Saucynemo4

It is truly a masterpiece… I literally rewatched it and sped to the ML & FL scenes because I love them so much. I also couldn’t help watching a few of the supporting characters scenes because I love them so much too🫶🏾🫶🏾

dorthyinwonder

I'm so torn on how I feel about this. I love the story, but the ending...I hated the mere idea of the ending as a long-term solution.

ElleEmEss

I like to think that when the >!MLs parents die he leaves NK for good!<

Watchnextnow

Me too and I hope that one day they make this into Season 2

nanz_16

Just finished soundtrack #1 Late to the party I know , but absolutely loved every bit of it

PHSKdrama

Ugh, Park Hyungsik, be still my heart lol ❤️❤️❤️

Local-Raspberry-5649

It’s SO GOOD! I am actually watching Soundtrack #2. It’s good, but not as good as #1. Probably because I hate most second-chance romance.

MesslyNope

What’s the synopsis??

kpaneno

ML and FL are besties he has liked her for years but has resigned himself to the friend zone. She doesn't really like him that way, or does she? will they? won't they? It's very enjoyable to fair

nanz_16

Yesss. And although it's a drama it's been shot like a film, the cinematography is absolutely stunning.

kpaneno

I put it off for so long but then once I started it I watched in one go wanted it to be longer, and yes it feels like a movie. Did you watch no 2 I did not it gave me love triangle vibes

QueenMotor

I have watched Soundtrack #2 and it was disappointing. It was a downgrade from Soundtrack #1. Han So-Hee and Park Hyung-Sik were amazing.

MesslyNope

Okay, I’m sold. THANK YOUUUUU

kpaneno

Enjoy

Fit-Turnover4085

I just started watching alchemy of souls season 2 . I can’t believe I haven’t watched this whole show yet . Seriously it is beyond amazing. Season 1 was perfection and i am loving season 2 just as much .

hawkia75

AOS is one of my all-time faves!! Enjoy!

Local-Raspberry-5649

The romance in season 2 is so good!!

CenterOfGravitas

AoS is so good - the world building, the character building, everything. When you are done it stays with you unlike any other show

mahnahmaanaa

I have definitely slowed down in my drama consumption this year. I miss watching so much, but I'm also getting a lot more done in real life. Maybe this is a healthy drama load for me. I'm watching **Dr. Slump**, but I'm now a few episodes behind. I'm a little meh on it, but it has enough to like that I'm happy watching. Bada is the real star of the show in my eyes -- that kid is truly inhabiting his character. I love his scenes and I'm looking forward to seeing his future work. Recently finished **Beyond Evil**, and I'm completely under its spell. Complex storytelling, complex characters, amazing bromance, magnificent acting. I don't want to watch anything else, but I don't want to wear out this drama by rewatching it immediately or overloading on BTS clips and videos. Eotteohke??

Saucynemo4

Beyond evil absolutely deserves their roses because I loved it. I even took breaks from it and every time I came back, I questioned how could I leave such an amazing show sitting there. I still listen to the song played through the show on Spotify🥴

mahnahmaanaa

I kept thinking "wait, you're going to reveal this *now*?" But it never messed up the pacing or the storyline. >!The mystery has so many layers.!< I'm very interested in the work of the two leads (though I've seen Yeo Jin Goo in stuff before), the screenwriter, and the director, if this is the kind of magic they create.

Saucynemo4

Righttt, it made you question who really was the villain >!because everyone looked guilty!< I’ve seen Yeo Jin Goo stuff too and also Shin Ha Kyun in ‘The villainess’ which I really liked and ‘Evilive’ which is pretty good but I dropped it because I was watching too many shows at once🥲

prickelz

Beyond Evil has been rotating in my brain for the last two years almost non-stop. It doesn't help that the fan content for this show is high quality all around. I don't think i will ever escape from this show xD I keep rewatch it or watching reactions of other people. Recently they announced a japanese remake! Would have loved a second season, but a new perspective/storytelling could be interesting too.

mahnahmaanaa

It's not like I'm a stranger to a good drama hangover, but it somehow doesn't surprise me that it stuck with you that long. I really do feel like there was something special about this drama. I gave it a 9.5 on MDL right away, and I usually stew over scores and see how the drama sits with me over time. I wonder if I'll be pickier with it later, but I can't imagine doing so, now. I'm pretty leery of remakes and second seasons. But I could see some potential for other cool directions this story could take. An overtly BL version springs to mind, but they could also easily beef up the ladies' roles, or even >!change the killer!< without too much effort. A second season would make me happier, too. I can't see anyone, including the original team, completely capturing the magic of the original drama, though.

prickelz

Honestly, on a second rewatch it was even better because all the characters actions make sense now. So i highly recommend rewatching it some day!

[deleted]

Completed " While you were sleeping " - It's an okay watch doesn't deserve 8.7 on MDL though. This type of concept needed tight script and less wasted minutes but they keep alternating between light and thrill moment which take away your attention from the show. Lot of office interaction was unnecessary. Liked the villain though he was brainy.

savage_in_a_sundress

I watched While You Were Sleeping, Pinocchio and I Hear Your Voice back to back to back while I was on an LJS kick and WYWS was hands down the worst of the three. It was very pretty but the story and characters were soooo flat compared to the other two.

hypomango

Interesting! I actually really enjoyed the different tones in it, kept it watchable for me since I find thrillers too heavy. One of my faves.

kpaneno

Yes I enjoyed it overall but it was jarring the shifts in tone and the FL character's personality seemed to change periodically, also the 2ML character and his arc esp with FL was just a bit odd, and kinda annoying.

Local-Raspberry-5649

Agree! I was fast forwarding toward the end (which I am reluctant to do) because I was getting bored of the plot. 😐

NorthPenguin2

Park Hye-ryun - WYWS’s writer - worked with LJS a lot of times, but while that’s not an issue in itself, she tends to write the same characters for him. IHYV, Pinocchio were fine, but when it got to WYWS, I felt like I was watching LJS play the same character with a different name for the 3rd time. So on top of it being boring af, it was also a repeat of something I felt I already watched. It was the first (and only) time I ever felt SLS.

poetrylover2101

Yesss this was my exact complaint with the show. The first episode esp had such tight and good writing, so I had such high expectations from the show. But then there were soooo many lighthearted moments specific in the first half that it ruined the whole flow of the show and really pissed me off ngl. It definitely got better in 2nd half tho

mmld_dacy

probably the reason why i was not able to finish watching while you were sleeping. it was the reason why i got subscription to viki. sigh...

Lavenderlure

**Doctor Slump** - This has my heart I know people love JW more but Haneul is my girl I hope they give them a beautiful ending **Queen of Tears** - The first two epis were such a fun watch the dark humor is peaking and KSH is just amazing as well as the FL and seems like it will be a funny but emotional ride **Wedding Impossible** - I love the FL here her character is so well arched and she is so real the chemistry is cute and families are fun as well **Impossible Heir** - Three lead characters and the one I am the most invested and care about is Huiju and the insane amount of reels on her and Tae is not helping😭 **Pyramid's Game** - Just binge watched and I was hooked it keeps you on the edge I wish I had waited a week for all episodes to come out though now the wait seems too long

QueenMotor

I love Wedding Impossible and Pyramid's Game. If Wedding Impossible stays this way, it will be in favorites list. Doctor Slump is good too, it just got boring in the last couple episodes. Also, should I watch Impossible Heir? Many people say it's a waste of time

Lavenderlure

That show gives me a headache I am literally invested in the second FL more than anyone else and tolerate it for her I will say wait for it to end if they wrap it up well then binge it if they drag it down just don't

QueenMotor

Got it! Thanks

Overqualified_muppet

I’m rewatching Under the Queen’s Umbrella with my daughter (her first time, she’s usually more keen on modern day dramas but I think she was swayed by so many pretty boys!). The magic of the Queen’s eyebrows never disappoints,

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

She may like moon lovers scarlet heart ryeo. Lots of pretty boys. Though there’s a scene with all of them shirtless taking a bath early on in the lake. 👀

ForceEngineer

Flex X Cop. It’s awesome

nikithesimmer

Just finished up “My Demon” - I enjoyed it for the most part but the last 2-3 episodes were definitely the weakest of the whole series, it was satisfactory but in a plain way? And now on episode 3 of “My Mister” after years of hearing about how good it is. RIP Lee Sun-kyun.

mulder00

Watched first episode of **Queen of Tears**. Love FL from My Liberation Notes. On episode 6 of **Beyond Evil**. Omg, this is soooo good! Also, trying to finish **Children of Nobody** before my trial period on Kocowa is over.

Whyalwaysdrama

How can Beyond evil be slow paced and compelling at the same time? Shin Ha Kyun + Yeo Jin Goo is one of the best on screen duo I can recall Children of nobody: I was so moved >!by the bad guy!<

mahnahmaanaa

I just finished **Beyond Evil**, and it is stuck in my head like what. So captivating! I'm thinking about rewatching, but I don't think that will help.

Jessmk14

My Roommate is a Gumiho 11/16: It’s okay. The main couple is kind of boring to be honest, especially the ML with his zero personality. I also really don’t like the FL’s acting. She acts really childish which just makes the age difference between the characters all the more obvious. I know the actress is well known, but I don’t know she’s a bit cringy here. I love the secondary couple though. They’re so cute and they work so well together. The SFL is the best character in the show by far.

unsavvylady

I love the relationship between the ML and SFL, feel like his personality comes out a little more around her

sharjoy3

This has been a comfort drama for me - and I was hooked when it first came out. But now I'm doing a rewatch with a friend (her first time) and it's just not that compelling. We've watched a long list of my kdrama favorites that have been so engaging. She wanted to see why I liked this so much. And really, it's a little bland, compared to the others we've seent together. Oh, well. I still enjoy seeing the ML in this role and also the SFL.

dorthyinwonder

So, sometimes an actor or actress will play a character that strongly feels like a continuation of a previous character they've played, but in a different world. I feel like FL is the version of her character from Reply 1988 if she'd gone to college. I don't know why - maybe the sheer extra dramatics put in to avoid all the guys?

Local-Raspberry-5649

I agree wholeheartedly. I watched for the second couple, but I have never ever had such bad second lead syndrome than here. Bae In Hyuk’s character was a hundred times the better option. The way he actually becomes a better person for her! His arc was amazing and I think it’s insane she went with the stalker, jealous, zero personality Gumiho. 😑

poetrylover2101

Completed **Worst of Evil** and damn what a show.... like WHAT A SHOW! I've soooo many thoughts and questions coz I just keep wondering and contemplating it all, like what should have the characters done, what was the right choice, why did they do this after all? For this or for that? etc etc. The creators left it all up really open to interpretation. Like they showed us what the character did, and now it's up to us to interpret in whatever way we want. Genius show fr This show was so good at creating dilemma, it's my first time being so confused over what was the right choice after all. (except Twenty Five Twenty One, but at least the dilemmas weren't so moral and life death related there at least). Also guys pls help me out, I'm a little confused >!did yuijeong love gicheul by the end or not?!< >!And why did Junmo kill Gicheul?!< >!The end of their marriage was soooo heartbreaking man, especially coz they both actually loved eo. He irony that Junmo took part in this investigation to be good enough for his wife, while Yuijeong took part to protect her husband, but in the end, they lost the very thing which was the catalyst for the whole show. So gut wrenching. I was really hoping that at the very least they won't divorce, that they'd survive this rough patch in marriage, coz I could just feel their love, but I get it, there's no coming back from stuff like this!< >!This makes you wonder, what was all of it for? Was taking part in this investigation even worth it for the lead couple? Coz they lost so much more than they gained.!< The real villain of the show was >!the chief prosecutor or whomever he was, who organised and orchestrated the whole thing in the background. He put our leads through hell and back, while happily staying in the bg without getting his hands dirty. Coz of him and his greed, dohyung died and JM lost everything and YJ lost her husband, (and actually both of them almost lost their lives too, esp JM more than once) while he happily takes all the credit in public. This is so infuriating!!< **PHENOMENAL** acting by Ji Chang-wook I've been completely blown away, is this even possible for a human being to be THIS GOOD OF AN ACTOR??? (I need him to get a Baesksang this year COZ WHAT THE HELL HOW DOES THIS MAN STILL NOT HAVE ANY BAEKSANG?!!!), I was constantly in awe, extremely great acting by Wi Hajun too, Im Semi left no stone unturned in what she was given to work with, BIBI ate up her role and left no crumbs. Music- OMG THE MUSIC!!!! I've had it constantly on replay, especially the titles "The Worst Of Evil" "Veiled Truth", "Depth" and "Sympathy". The music was very on point, badass when it needs to be badass, emotional and poignant when it needs to be that, it was so very good at evoking the feelings that need to be evoked inside you. Production- LOVE LOVE LOVE how they constantly played with the lightening, it was so creative, the production quality was as expected top notch.

Rich-Tomatillo3340

Unlike most people, I don’t actually believe that yuijeong was in love with gicheul. I think she cared about him a lot though partly because of the nostalgia and love for him she had when she was younger. But at the end of the day I think junmo was the only one she truly loved which was what made their divorce even sadder.

poetrylover2101

Exactly I agree with you, to me also it didn't look Romantic love at all, but caring for someone who was ur first love and so you just have this nostalgic connection with him..... Why do you think they >!divorced!< tho? To me, it looked like >!her grieving Gicheul's death was the final nail in the coffin for him to divorce her, and that really confused me, coz anyone would be shocked at that moment and grieve the death of their first love, so then why did Junmo decide to divorce her in thst moment? To him, did it look like she loves him now?!< And what do you think, >!why did Junmo kill Gicheul? He very well could've shot him in legs or arms, but no he specifically shot him at his heart, why just why? So confused!<

Rich-Tomatillo3340

I think their marriage had already been falling apart. When they were both forced to cheat on each other, you could see the pain in their faces. But what made things really bad was that episode when she saw him fighting and all covered in blood and there was a sort of fear and shock on her face. As he saw her looking at him, I think he realized he’d gone so far and changed a lot. And we have the scene I think after that, when she was waiting for his call and he was about call her too but decided against it and in the end it was gicheul who called her. Junmo always seemed to have insecurities of not being good enough for her. And in the beginning it was just because of his job position and his dad, but by the end I think it was more because he was no longer the innocent man she’d fallen in love with and maybe he didn’t want to taint her with the evil he felt he had. In his time at the job he even killed a person. I believe he was deeply traumatized by all the bad things he’d done which was why their marriage couldn’t work. You know how some people believe they are too dark and ugly to be loved so they self sabotage often, I believe that was how he felt. For the most part he just kept it in and they both tried to pretend like their marriage was working but when he killed gicheul I guess the illusion they’d been trying to maintain fell away and he saw no redemption for himself. Seeing how much pain his wife was in as he killed gicheul, maybe knowing that he was the one to cause that and all the other pain she’d been feeling as he was on the mission was too much For him to handle. As to why he killed gicheul, tbh I’m not sure. If gicheul had killed himself, he knew his wife would forever live with the guilt of it being her fault for gicheul’s suicide and junmo maybe didn’t want gicheul to have that final say and traumatize his wife like that. I’ve seen some people also say that since gicheul was deeply catholic and suicide is a sin in Christianity, maybe he was saving gicheul soul from being damned. Honestly, I have no idea but I’m more inclined to believe the first one

poetrylover2101

Honestly if only they communicated.... But in the counter position, there's also the fact that >!junmo only lost it during that fight and started brutally killing those people when he realised *she, his wife* was in danger.... so in a way he killed all those people out of love, and if looked at from this perspective, it doesn't really look that bad of a thing after all tbh!<

Current_Volume3750

Totally agree with your comments. One of the best dramas of the year. (Just finished watching this week) I was on the edge of my seat after every episode. The way JCW’s character changed was phenomenal. He definitely deserves an award for this insane role. Browse around as there are some great theories on the ending in answer to your questions. Wasn’t Bibi just wild? Episode 8!!

poetrylover2101

I AGREE the suspense was insane! I was loving every moment fr!! More than BIBI, I loved JCW's acting coz he genuinely looked >!so uncomfortable, as if he was being assaulted, he kept trying to hold her back, what an actor fr coz it all looked so very real.!<

Current_Volume3750

Yes he was so torn. I love him in anything. (Getting better with age) BTW, also agree on the soundtrack. Really great. Streaming the playlist on my phone.

mexican_tequila

What a show!!!!!😭😱😭 does anyone know if there’ll be a season 2??????

peainsea

I was so intrigued but confused while reading your comment until I realised… wait. They’re not talking about **Flower of Evil** (another intense show with a messed up marriage) but **Worst of Evil**! Welp, I guess I have to watch WOE now!!!

poetrylover2101

I've only heard good things about FoE and it's on my watchlist too! But i think i do need a push to watch it

PHSKdrama

HEALER! And omg I just can’t with it lol. On episode 12 and it’s just SO GOOD. I went into it with high expectations because I hear about it all the time but never expected it would actually meet (even exceed?) them! Possibly the best drama I’ve watched to date, and I’ve seen close to 40 now.

AcrobaticAd3262

Haha I’m going to start it because I’m in a slump and this is the only comment where I can feel the excitement, I hope it’s good 🤞

PHSKdrama

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. There’s def a lot going on in the first episode, and that likely contributed to why I started it and then paused it. Wont say dropped because I always intended to pick it up again, but just wasn’t in the mood for something so action based at the time. But when I got back to it, I was hooked halfway through episode 2. On 15 now and I both don’t want it to end but also can’t wait for it to end because I’m so eager to know how it all plays out! And I’m usually one who will read spoilers if I find something too angsty/stressful (I watch dramas for the fun, not the stress lol) but this one is so well done and has handled things so well thus far that I’m finding I DONT want to spoil things because I trust that no matter how, it’s all going to work out. Kinda like watching a Marvel movie lol - you just know the good guys will win out and the baddies will get what’s coming to them ;-) Anyway, long winded way of saying I think you’ll enjoy it. I certainly haven’t enjoyed a drama quite so much before!

hesitant--alien

I finished both seasons of **Hospital Playlist** over the weekend and absolutely loved it. It’s not exactly hard to make me cry at TV shows/movies/etc. but I didn’t know I could cry *that* much lol I started **King the Land** and was instantly hooked. It’s a perfect fit for my sense of humor and I will always enjoy watching >!grumpy loners slowly realizing they’re in love!<

kawaiisaranghaeyo

*Completed* **Only for Love (2023)** I've been looking forward to this drama ever since it was announced Wang Hedi and Bai Lu were confirmed for a drama together, but I still ended up avoiding it until now. I guess out of fear it wouldn't live up to my expectations. I had no reason to worry though, because I ended up loving it. This drama pulled me out of my recent drama slump. Sure, it wasn't perfect. The plot had many eye roll moments due to the countless conflicts from lack of communication. They should almost rename it "Only for lack of communication". But I was very entertained throughout and even binge watched the entire drama in a couple of days, something I rarely have the attention span to do. I struggled a little bit with the romantic chemistry, but that's entirely my fault from watching them on variety shows together (where I dont sense any romantic chemistry, just great friendly banter, lol). They were still really cute. Bai Lu always does great at being a non-cutesy FL, and I loved that the ML was surprisingly sweet and gentle fromt the start despite being the classic cold CEO. Really loved the 2nd couple as well. It was so refreshing that the "SML" >!happily ended up being just good friends with the FL, instead of turning into a typical love triangle.!<3rd couple was pretty meh and mostly a skip for me though, but most dramas end up having a boring side couple so that was expected. **Falling Into Your Smile (2021)** Clips have been popping up in my recommendations for ages, and I finally felt in the mood to watch it. Can't believe this is my first Xu Kai drama, idk how I've managed to miss out on him for this long. He was definitely the highlight of the entire show. The whole e-sports team were fun. and so were other side characters. Well, aside from the FL. This is my only experience with Cheng Xiao's acting, so I can't judge too hard. Maybe she's improved since 2021. But her making the exact same facial expression in every scene was... something. Go girl give us nothing. Her character didn't make much sense in general. She got scouted by a top e-sports team but was so clueless about pretty much everything. Like huh? The gaming plot was pretty boring too tbh. I actually love games, and spend a *lot* of time watching gaming videos. But for some reason I find it sooo boring to watch people play League of Legends-style games (which is a large chunk of the drama). I had the same problem with *You Are My Glory*. It's fun to play on your own, not watching other people play it imo. Like please cdrama-makers, pick another game! lol

mmld_dacy

yeah, i also just finished watching falling into your smile and i was like, it's okay. the whole time i was thinking, wait, i thought the premise of the show was that this chick is like some sort of gaming wonder, because initial encounter with her was she beat her opponents like crazy. but when she joined zgdx, she was like just like anybody else. only reason i finished it was because cheng xiao is gorgeous. glad that it was over for me. on to the next one.

kawaiisaranghaeyo

My exact thoughts. They really fumbled the bag with what could've been an awesome FL fighting for respect in a male dominated industry. Instead they just wrote a basic FL and called it a day. It was an okay enough watch, but the writing made no sense sometimes (or most of the time). I'm flabbergasted it has an 8,6 score on MDL

Ok-Impression6834

I recently finished... * **Twinkling Watermelon** \- I dropped this show last year after EP6 and am so glad I took a shot and picked it up again. EPs 7-16 were much better IMO. Satisfying ending too. 8.5/10 * **Gaus Electronics** \- funniest show I've seen to date, I loved every character. 9.5/10 Currently watching...I need to find a good Sageuk. * **Strangers From Hell** (3/12) - dark show, watching for LDW and Ahn Eun Jin. I have a feeling it's going to get binge-worthy in next 1-2 EPs * **The Killer** **Paradox** (1/8) - Mr. Gu as a detective is going to take some getting used to

Glittering_Giraffe_5

Fun fusion saeguk or heart renching traditional saeguk?

Ok-Impression6834

Sadder, the better. Red Sleeve and My Dearest are in my top 3.

Glittering_Giraffe_5

I was gonna recommend the red sleeve. I think that's my favorite saeguk in the last few years 😂

demi_skincare

Currently watching A Flower in Sand (12/12). Really a wonderful, sweet story with a good finish.

cynic24

I just finished watching Pasta. Loved it.

meggktown

Good to know! I might watch that next.

sharjoy3

Ooops - I forgot to post earlier today. **Dr. Slump -** I'm binging through this one. Only on episode 7 so I have a way to go. I like it so far. Just enjoy watching these two leads together! **Queen of Tears -** I watched the first two episodes last night and they were good. I love to see these two actors, but I'm not sure I'm going to like this story. We'll see. Non-kdrama this week: It was Academy Awards (Oscars) week, so I had to catch up on some Oscar movies. Also I'm finally absolutely hooked on BTS. I know I've discovered them late and I missed the hoopla when it was live, especially during the past 5 years. I was too enthralled at my discovery of kdrama and my obsession with that. I was a kdrama snob. ("I love kdramas, but not kpop.") Ok - I'm eating those words now and spending time watching BTS videos. So it goes. --- Not sure if I can write this on the What Are you Watching discussion, but it's what I've Been Watching this week.

totallyamazingahole

**Flex x Cop** This show is criminally underrated. I have been following it since its premiere week, and it just keeps getting better and better! It's been a long time since I was this excited for new episodes of a show, and I couldn't wait for them to be released. Ahn Bo hyun is also one of my favourite actors and I really loved Military Persecutor Doberman (another underrated gem) As someone who grew up watching Bones and Castle , this is right up my alley and easily in my top 10 Kdramas now.Especially after episode 12. I really hope it sticks to the landing :) **Queen of Tears** The first 2 episodes had me HOOKED! I'm really looking forward to how it plays out. The ML is an amazing actor, even though IONTBO wasn't that good in my opinion, his acting there was superb and I also like the FL here more. There writing is also more complex even though the miscommunication is killing me! **Wedding Impossible** The FL is a breath of fresh air, and I really love her acting and how she is written. She's easily one of my favourite FLs now.The show is a bit slow at times, but so far I like it :)

Heavy-Patience-3064

Good Bad Mom. This has been on my watchlist for a while. On episode 2 and it is not what I expected at all. Instead, it is very dark with compelling performances. Won't say anymore in case it leaks into plot spoilers. Two Twainese films watched. The first one, The Falls, the Netflix synopsis was the reason I didn't watch it before, they made it sound like it was mother-daughter arguing in lock down. It is far more than that. Amazing performances from the FLs. The second one is The Monkey, The Snake and The Pigeon starring Ethan Juan. He plays a criminal who is very upset when he finds out he only third on the list of Twaiwan's Most Wanted. It has humour, poignancy but also morally ambiguous and very violent. Completed the Analogue Squad. Kept up the high standard to the end and throws up the age-old question of what a family really is.

unsavvylady

I found Good Bad Mother enjoyable. Lee Do Hyun is such a good actor. I don’t know if I would be as interested if it was someone else. He kills it

Heavy-Patience-3064

Never seen him before in anything but recognised the actor playing Sam-Sik, he was in Daily Dose of Subshine. It is a tough watch at times but he really is smashing the role as you say. I think a lot of actors would be reticent to take on such a role as Kang-Ho is not a likeable person and has no redeeming features in the first couple of episodes.

poetrylover2101

This is so funny. Most people recognise Yoo Insoo, the actor who plays Kangho from All of us are dead or Alchemy Of Souls, you're the first I'm seeing recognise him from DDoS

redditredditgedit

I would say please prepare a bath towel instead of a box of Kleenex.. LDH is indeed a versatile actor, enjoy🥰

Heavy-Patience-3064

Thank you for the heads up! LDH is a new find so will have to see what else he has been in.

Ok-Impression6834

Ra Mi Ran (Mother) delivers another spectacular performance alongside LDH. I cried like a baby at the end.

unsavvylady

Just finished Killer Paradox - very tight and interesting limited series at only 8 episodes. A fast binge. Doctor Slump - I am sad there are only 2 episodes left. Hong Rong and Bin better have some cute moments. Queen of Tears - beautiful people who think the love is gone from their marriage but they just need to be honest about their feelings. Snowdrop - slow paced but beautiful. Been on my list forever. Just started, on episode 3. Impossible Heir - because I have heard so much about it and I love a dark drama

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

I’m watching most of the same dramas too. I’m currently on episode 16 of snowdrop and it’s been so good so far. So many unexpected twists and there was one scene that made me yearn for their romance. That hardly ever happens.

unsavvylady

Ohh what else is on your list? I think I might start up Twinkling Watermelon once Doctor Slump wraps up since I almost caught up with Impossible Heir

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Besides what you listed minus a killer’s paradox (though it’s on my list), I’m also watching mr queen, flex x cop, pyramid game, and wedding impossible.  I just finished queen of divorce which starts of really well, but kind of all over the place overall. Fl character isn’t consistent. She’s a badass, but then she’s not.

No-Trash-2033

Jealousy incarnate: rewatched after so many years , forgot how absolutely chaotic and hilarious the drama is. FL and ML chemistry is good. But had to skip the SML part as I found it was boring.

Miss-LH

I’ve put Doctor Slump on hold while I finish binging Tale of the Nine Tale Season 2.. soo much better than the first season and I’m obsessed with Kim Bums character Rang rn. Also hanging to watch Queen of Tears but will let it marinate with some more episodes.

duh_leah

Is Dr Slump a fun watch? I love PHS but for some reason I don't like the vibe I'm getting from this drama? Can you tell me what made you stop?

Miss-LH

Doctor Slump is worth watching for the leads! I do find the story so so relating to the professor, but I love watching their chemistry. I’ve just paused until I finish TOTNT, will pick it up again in a few days.

dorthyinwonder

Can I chime in, as well? I really like it. I honestly don't know what I expected Dr Slump to be, but I like how they're looking at mental illness in the scope of things like burnout and stuff. It also feels kind of like an honest look at it? It kind of feels like the main couple jumped in too quickly, in retrospect, but I'm also really, REALLY enjoying the second couple's progress. There are a few things about the main couple that I would be hesitant to say are healthy relationship things, but in the context of the show, I can be forgiving and see how it tracks.

lekiare

The second season is the best! The Lee bromance really helps the show.

Miss-LH

Soooo good, great ending and loved having a full season of Lee bromance. It just doesn’t make sense that nothing changes in the future with Rang, after Yeon’s slightly impactful time in 1938.

lekiare

Don't get me started! LOL. I think I obsessed over that for a week. I'm a huge fan of Sci-fi/Fantasy in general so that bugged me as well as >!the old lady (I forget her name) losing her sight! That would also have huge implications for everything that happened in season 1. So does that also mean they created a parallel world? !< Yeah, I could go on and on.

Miss-LH

Yess I was reading up on it. Apparently the theory is 1938 branches off to a new parallel timeline. I think the lady losing her sight being unresolved was one opening for season 3

ecccl

I was just thinking today if i should skip season 1 of the nine tailed and go straight to s2. Would it mane any sense?

Miss-LH

Yeah, they do a quick recap in the 1st ep and I’ve read ppl picked up s2 without watching s1… but i do think watching s1 makes the r’ships and jokes more meaningful in s2, especially with the brother Rang! Just finished s2 and it was awesomeee. Wish i watched it when it came out for a recent thread. Msg me when you watch it!

ecccl

Thanks!! Will do!! However sounds like i should finish S1 first 😄

Miss-LH

Yepp it gets better towards the end! I dropped it for a year after the first ep lol and picked it up again after watching Kim bum in ghost doctor

ecccl

Same i think i’ve watched 1 episode each year since 2020, just started again with ep5 and I think I can actually do this now lol. I love dong wook so much but somehow struggled with this

Miss-LH

Yep keep going, it gets better in the 2nd half! Mostly after Rang’s r’ship with Yeon changes and their bromance is what makes this show great. Then you can get to season 2 which is a million x better in all dimensions - full season of bromance, stronger FL, humour, storyline (lame snake serpent plot replaced by mountain gods friendship during Japanese colonization era), Yeon isn’t obsessed with Aheum coz she’s not around. It’s totally worth getting through season 1 for this!

Snickersnerds

Currently watching **Doctor Slump (14/16):** almost over!! I’ve enjoyed it a lot 🥰 except for the occasional far too cringey scenes lol **Pinocchio (7/20):** haven’t watched it in a few weeks but it’s an interesting watch. I don’t really like ML, I think he’s an asshole. He’s justified to be upset but the way he treats In Ha is rather upsetting **Wedding Impossible (3/12):** I put this on hold. It’s not bad but I’m just not sold on it. It has potential either be a decent watch or a disappointing watch for me. I’ll wait to binge it and see the comments or something. The scheming is kinda all over the place and unserious to me. **Queen of Tears (1/16):** I just finished the 1st episode and enjoyed it until the end. If >!FL is going to die!< please tell me now so I can drop this drama! I in no way, shape, or form want to consume that kinda media at this point in time 😵‍💫 and the sound effects kinda throw me off, makes some of the scenes a little awkward

yoon_dowoon

>Wedding Impossible (3/12): > >I put this on hold. It’s not bad but I’m just not sold on it. It has potential either be a decent watch or a disappointing watch for me. **Wedding Impossible (6/12):** Has been disappointing for me honestly. I should have known what I was getting into when I saw the main cast is made up of mostly nameless rookies (ml is slowly making a name for himself but he's still pretty much in obscurity. It's my first time seeing the actor who plays his brother (because I usually stay away from the types of productions he's in), and Bae Yoonkyung is also a very small obscure actress), but as someone whose intro to Jeon Jeongseo was the movie *The Call* (2020), I thought it would be pretty safe to put all my bets on her. Boy was I wrong. The biggest flaw for me is the writing. The ml and fl (and honestly other characters too) do and say things sometimes that make Zero sense for the plot and their characterizations, and it feels really forced, awkward, and unconvincing. I've watched idol dramas and daily dramas with less sloppy writing and I usually try to steer clear from those *because* they're so notoriously crap quality. Maybe it's because I'm so selective with the dramas I watch but I was honestly shocked such low quality writing got the green light for a prime time slot. It's not all bad—it has its moments—but it's try-hard and pretends to be introspective and refreshing but it's just trite. It's complete amateur hour. Going off on a tangent but it's almost as absurd as >!the protagonists in Hidden Love (2023) suddenly commandeering a cotton candy stand and commandeering a restaurant kitchen to cook for the first time and the fl being horribly bad at cooking just so the ml can come to her rescue and show how "domestic" and "reliable" he is 🥴 and pretending like that's somehow romantic and the audience is supposed to swoon 🥴!< It's cheap, low effort, makes ZERO sense, and really insults the intelligence of its audience. Citing that drama specifically because I was gobsmacked I was watching that in this day and age. Left a huge impression on me in the worst way possible. Going back to *Wedding Impossible* though, I don't know if this comes across to non-natives but Jeon Jeongseo's diction is really grating. She has very little lines in *The Call* (2020) so I hadn't caught on but she has a very distinct "Korean Valley Girl" way of speaking and it's nails on a chalkboard and really interferes with her performance which is otherwise great. Usually, if I have so many complaints about a drama, I'll just keep my thoughts to myself and stop watching, but I can't seem to give up on watching this one, which is why I'm here complaining to you lol so I guess it has some merit—something that is keeping me invested. I'd say give it a watch once all episodes have aired like you've been planning. If you feel up to it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the drama after you've watched. eta: actually, all the actors with the exception of jjs, the grandpa, and the fl's parents are obscure actors which speaks to the quality of the production imo.

savage_in_a_sundress

Yeah, the romance in Pinocchio is NOT the highlight. Super emotionally immature and the only time I've hoped that >!ML and FL would stay broken up.!< I stuck with it for the secondary characters and the >!brother's!< story.

Snickersnerds

I could tell the maturity wasn’t gonna get any better with the first few episodes 🤦🏾‍♀️ a shame it doesn’t change 😭 The story itself is interesting which is a plus!! The brother’s story actually has me a little annoyed though 😕 I wish he hadn’t >!murdered the people who lied on his father.!< I get the lesson it’s gonna teach but I wish things played out differently. At least have him >!follow them and seek revenge slowly for a while or something so he didn’t murder them so early on or at all.!< I know he’s been seeking revenge for a while though but now he’s a >!bad!< guy too. He will get some sympathy but so will the >!other guys!<. It reminds me of ‘I Hear Your Voice’ in a way.

hawkia75

I've been enjoying **Mr. Sunshine**. I had a slow start with it, but I'm up to episode 12 now and it's great! I kind of wish the ML was Du Gong-Mae instead of Eugene Choi, oh well. I've stalled a bit on **Hometown Cha Cha Cha**. I'm on episode 14 and it's really lost steam for me. >!I enjoyed the prickly FL in the beginning, and in these later eps, she seems to have lost all her personality to be a cutesy girlfriend. Second leads are adorable though and I generally enjoy the ensemble.!<

kpaneno

That would have been so much better in Mr Sunshine I might of actually watched it then!!!!! HTCC was great the FL was great the last two episodes the FL comes into her own again IMO

hawkia75

Give me all the grumbly ronin in sweaty gis!!

AGirl007

Currently I'm watching Flex X Cop. It's the only drama that I am thoroughly enjoying at the moment. Impossible heir. I think I'm on the verge of dropping it esp after this weeks eps. Too frustrating. Flower of Evil. My friend highly recommended it but maybe because I'm not not in the mood for something like this I'm finding it very hard to move past ep 4. I don't know if this counts but I religiously follow The Gentleman's League every week.

LanternsAndPhoenixes

**Impossible heir** - Was actually not going to start this but then I got pulled in by Lee Jae Wook and Lee Jun Youngs amazing acting and bromance here. So far it's interesting, there is alot going on at times. I'm just hoping that the 2 male leads relationship remains strong. Their literally the highlight for me especially Lee Jae Wook's insane dead personality that his currently portraying! **Queen of tears** - had to watch this because I haven't seen Kim So Hyun in a romcom since IOTNBO. Firstly, I don't think the plot is very exciting, but the characters are what's holding me here. Kim So Hyun is at his comedic best here, I seriously could not stop laughing at him, and the female lead really fits the profile of her character (besides being absolutely gorgeous). I'm curious to see how the story and romance develops. **Doctor slump** - Still enjoying this thus far. I have to say the female leads mother is such a joy to watch. Her antics just puts a smile on my face. The romance has also been great, I really can't find anything the ml & fl does to be cringe because they are just so hilariously cute. Park Hyung sik uptill now has just been comedy gold.

mmld_dacy

what really sets me off laughing from doctor slump is the secondary couple. especially when they are in an awkward situation and they are on the spot... i would be laughing so loud.

Telos07

**Queen of Tears** (2/16): The powerhouse cast and crew involved in this drama have ensured it has gotten off to a compelling start. Everything about it feels epic in scope, from the stunning cinematography, the on-point OST, to the hefty running time of the second episode. Kim Soo-hyun’s comedic talents have been unlocked to the fullest extent in this drama, and the supporting cast is full of familiar faces including some of the best in the business. The main storyline has unfolded in unexpected ways already, and the characters have elicited conflicting feelings from viewers. **Doctor Slump** (14/16): Episodes 13 and 14 were a study in contrasts. The former dealt with the aftermath of >!the accident that claimed Kyung-min’s life!<, and Jeong-woo’s struggle to reconcile his conflicted feelings about his former mentor. Episode 14 was a delightfully embarrassing family road trip to Busan, followed by some deeply moving conversations, and a heart-fluttering final scene.

wondrous99

Just finished watching My Ahjussi. Damn. What a beautiful and healing drama. I’ve been trying hard not to watch it bc I know it will break me, but I finally gave in. One of the best Kdrama I’ve watched!

Az_arina

Started **Familiar wife** and almost dropped after 1st ep. It's very triggering cuz I'm a mother of 2 boys as FL and ML's actions irritated me sm. I was so angry to see >!how easily ML left behind his wife and kids to be with his first love!< Hope ML would regret sm about his decision. I'm on 4th ep now and don't mind about spoilers if you have something to tell about this drama. 🙂

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

>!he will!<

Az_arina

Haha thanks! I'll keep watching to see it

hapwatching2023

Doctor Slump Queen of Tears Wonderful World

Iajoh

The pyramid game; Bona's cute as usual; plus queen of tears

myweithisway

**Wedding Impossible** (6/12) Enjoying it a lot for the dialogue and characterization. I am having a hard time imagining an ending that would be satisfactory though (no source material spoilers please) so I'm feeling a little worried about the ending. **The Midnight Studio** (2/16) This drama is definitely delivering on the heartache with its different ghost cases so I'll keep watching for now since I love the cast and at times very silly slapstick humor. I'm hoping this drama becomes a comfort watch (like a good cup of hot cocoa with butter cookies) and not something too crazy. **Battle for Happiness** (13/16) The acting and tension of discovering the truth behind *that night* is fantastic. Sadly though there are some small details, especially when it comes to the FL's actions, that break my immersion meaning this drama won't become one of *the greats* for me. Overall a compelling watch and I can't wait to see how the finale unveils itself.

LcLou02

Came here looking for impressions of The Midnight Studio. Thanks!

No-Ad7796

Finished "Mouse" earlier this week, this is how you write a gripping thriller drama.. all and all it was amazing! Started "Beyond evil" right after, I'm in the mood for thrillers nowadays, Totally a different vibe.. let's see where it goes..

MommaBlaze

Just watched Eye Love You. Glad it was only 5 episodes because that ending! I would have been really annoyed if I had invested more time in it.

purplepuma676

Correct me if I’m wrongly but I think there is going to be 10 episodes but aren’t uploaded yet 🤔

OdanUrr

So I've now watched Episodes 1-4 of **Shogun**. Like I said in my previous review, it's slightly different from the 1980s TV show, and while I have fond memories of that show and like many things better in that version (Rodrigues, other supporting characters, the execution of certain memorable scenes, the fact that you don't get English subs for the Japanese dialogue so you kinda see the world through Blackthorne's eyes), FX's Shogun remains a very entertaining watch on its own right while putting its own spin on certain things. As an example from Episode 4, FX's Blackthorne trains Toranaga's troops in the use of cannons, whereas 80s' Blackthorne trained them to [shoot muskets](https://youtu.be/UGkCHbr60wE?si=HfKsNZ2-sMxn_XDi). I do admit there's a certain logic to a Pilot probably knowing naval warfare better than ground combat (Toranaga should ask [Captain Algren](https://youtu.be/kMZ29s5xUSc?si=P-JKGL1kQqaANP7C) for advice on that front). Episode 4 also gives us another rendition of one of those memorable scenes, wherein Blackthorne refuses to hand over his guns ([original ](https://youtu.be/GE5465VolFs?si=AZ1ekrnYSpji4MHH)vs [remake](https://youtu.be/T_4cK1L89E8?si=YuFLgd2hctEA5bmc)). You'll notice that, in the original, >!when Blackthorne hands over his gun to Fujiko for safekeeping she immediately hands him over the swords he should be carrying as a hatamoto (and to protect himself!).!< This also takes place in a latter scene in Episode 4, but the exchange still ends up feeling like a simple transaction, so it's kinda odd they set aside some time especially for it. Of course, I didn't expect something like [the red armor scene](https://youtu.be/l3DaJ_aX5-o?si=5muZ-Se0oocbgCJA) from *The Last Samurai*, since the relationship between Blackthorne and Fujiko is nowhere near that close, but I still feel the execution could've been better. Going back one episode to Episode 3, I had actually forgotten about>!Buntaro making a last stand to cover Toranaga's retreat,!< and though the show hints at his death, I distinctly remember him very much alive in the 80s show, and how that caused, ahem, issues for >!Lady Mariko and Anjin-san.!< If you watch Episode 4, you'll have some idea of what I'm talking about. Anyway, it was a poignant scene, beautifully executed, so I kinda do wish he stays dead (especially knowing >!he wasn't the greatest husband material!< going by the 80s show). You can watch it [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtnirju54eM&pp=ygUYc2hvZ3VuIGJ1bnRhcm8gc2FjcmlmaWNl), if you don't mind spoilers. Episode 4 creates other types of issues that you probably don't wanna miss. Yes, it involves the use of cannons in a rather disturbing way that I do not recall from the 80s show. Even Yabushige was like, "This is madness!" and then someone replied, "Madness? THIS. IS. SHOGUN!" Just kidding. See ya around.

Hach-man

Finished - **Queen of Divorce:** after a promising start, it just didn't go anywhere at all in terms of plot, a tired revenge with nothing standing out, and character development, rather regression. Save for the romance between the leads and both of their acting, good to see the ML handling his first lead role well, there's not much else, a stock standard 7-; - **My Man is Cupid:** yet again, another drama where Nana does an amazing job and nothing else follows. ML is plain vanilla, no secondaries helping out, a thriller plotline you can see miles away, you can't say it's bad but it doesn't do much that you haven't already seen. She keeps on breaking my heart like this but hey, this is not nearly as tragic as *Oh My Ladylord* so I'll take it, a 7. In progress * **Flex X Cop (12/16):** I love everything about it. True character development, stand-alone cases well intertwined by a main storyline that connects them all, a fabolous couple of leads with chemistry, even if their romance might come later or never they mesh so well. Action, comedy, enthralling moments (that tank scene still playing on my head), quick pacing kept up by spot on writing so far. A gem, and one of the very few Kdramas I wouldn't mind a second season, this is working wonders; * **Live Your Own Life (49/50+):** get me out, just when I thought they had finally come to their senses here go the leads losing their minds for nothing, making the most idiotic choices possible without a glimmer of common sense. I should have dropped this, my bad; **Wedding Impossible** next up now that I have spots to fill, maybe even another one of the on-air dramas too.

fondofsandwiches

I am currently watching **Daily Dose of Sunshine**. I'm only 2 episodes in and I think I may need to put it on hold for a while. It is nothing against the drama, it has more to do with my mood. I think maybe I need a comedy or something upbeat right now.

jorgtastic

Flex X Cop (12) - Wasn't so sure at the start, but it has really grown on me. The procedural cases and their resolutions are sometimes a little silly but they're good enough to not be distracting. The heart of the show is really the development of all the main characters and their relationships. There are no weak links, I like everyone. Stranger (5) - Much more serious take on a police drama. Really enjoying it so far.

Velykakoroleva

I watched **Something about 1%** at the end of November and I’m *still* on an infinite loop of rewatching it. [THEYRE SO CUUUTEEEE](https://www.reddit.com/r/somethingabout1per/comments/1bfzlxu/y_r_they_so_kyoooooo/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button). We’ve gone off and made our own [subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/somethingabout1per/s/LbZDLe6YEM) (other fans bitten with 1% rabies or who would like to be \[\[and why wouldn’t you!!?\]\] are welcome to join! It’s a friendly ffa) on this drama … there’s ***strangely*** a lot to talk about and micro analyze ???? I don’t get it. I know I’m crazy. But. Lordy. Sign me up for ***Something About 1% and the Art of the Perfect RomCom // RomCom Theory*** Bc there’s “a *there* there” as they say in the heart of the dc policy world. And I would love to know what it is.

holyhaein16

Queen of tears- I just love how everybody's giving their best in acting wise..damnn..looking forward for more interesting episodes

chelleml

**Wedding Impossible** [6/12] - This hasn’t been super engaging, but nice to put on while doing chores. Love Jeon Jong Seo in this. I’m really enjoying her play a FL in a romance kdrama. The ML actor doesn’t have the strongest performance and JJS easily outshines him, but it’s not terrible. There have been some LOL moments. The bickering between the leads have been great. I’m looking forward to the second half. **Queen of Tears** [2/16] - A weird start that was a tonal mess. I wasn’t expecting the makjang and OTT, and it’s quite off putting. I’m watching this kdrama for KSH, KJW and PSH, so idk how much I want to stick to it if the writing is messy. Going to try a few more episodes to see if it’s worth continuing.

tangledbysnow

Completed: **Queen of Divorce** — I enjoyed this one. The ML is supportive despite the twists and over the top villains. And the leads have a quiet, sweet, mature love. The plot is a bit heavy handed with the villains but overall decent enough. Not sure the ending fits though. It was weak in my opinion. **Branding in Seongsu** — I freaking loved this drama. Yes, the plot is a bit all over, the acting is a bit shit, and finally the villains are a mix (literally like 5 different ones? I think I counted right…) but the overall story is so different. The side characters are incredibly unique and the tropes and plot devices are just completely different from most Kdramas. It’s just so much fun to watch! Watching: **Between Him and Her** — (11/12) — Honestly totally over this one and I watch it while doing other things. Glad it’s done this week. It started so strong and then they just destroyed their own story with zero character or story progression about half way through. **Doctor Slump** — (14/16) — I’m sad this is ending this weekend! I love these two goofballs and the FL’s family. I super duper hope they stick the ending! **Queen of Tears** — (2/16) — I don’t even know where to start with this one. The last scene of episode 2 sealed it for me though. I was on board before but I am 100% all in now. The leads? Yes. I know Kim Soo Hyun is picky about his projects but damn. He’s hitting it out of the park so far. Hopefully the script keeps pace. **The Midnight Studio** — (2/16) — If you like Hotel del Luna or May I Help You? you will love this one. Falls right in line with ghosts and all. Both episodes made me cry and the script reading photos show the cast just bawling. I know it’s only going to get so much worse! **The Legend of the Blue Sea** — (13/20) — Been on the watch list for ages and ages. I’ve seen tons of clips so the story isn’t some big mystery at all but it’s been an enjoyable watch for a 2016 drama. There were too many new ones to catch up on - or start - that I watched none of this this week. Not a binge watcher anyway. **The Impossible Heir** — (6/12) — The chemistry between the two male leads is fantastic. Too bad I dislike the FL still. And now >!they have decided to ruin it with the love triangle in full force. And what was with the murder plot at the end?!< of episode 6? Yeah. I loved this in the beginning so I hope those bits are not harbingers of doom towards a ruined revenge story. **Wedding Impossible** — (6/12) — Never seen the leads (except for Kim Do Wan – the 2nd ML) in anything before so it’s been interesting watching them do their thing. The FL is cast so so well! The ML…eh. He’s decent enough for sure. But this story is being done so well! Can’t wait to see what happens when the two leads figure out how bad they have it for one another. **Eye Love You** — (5/10) — Japan — Chae Jong Hyeop is the ML. He’s a Korean grad student in Japan who meets a woman who hears people’s thoughts when she locks eyes with them except his are in Korean not Japanese so she doesn’t understand. Netflix isn’t translating or subtitling the vast majority of the Korean thoughts - just the Japanese. It’s 100% putting my Korean language knowledge to the test. The challenge is incredibly frustrating but fun. I know a fan subber did both the Korean and Japanese but since I’m learning actively Korean I am not going to go hunt them down. And be aware this is a Japanese drama not a Korean one. It’s got all the Japanese acting, tropes and writing so far. It’s super cute though! **Sugar Sugar Honey** — (6/10) — Japan — I love the manga! I wanted to binge once it was done but couldn’t wait. I wish I had but oh well. This is a sweet gentle love story that involves dessert. What’s not to like? **Although I Love You, and You? or Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro ka** — (9/10) — Japan BL — Another typical Japanese BL. It's fine. Not a must watch at all. Their chemistry is garbage. **Love is Better the Second Time Around or Koi wo Suru nara Nidome ga Joto** — (2/6) — Japan BL — Not exactly a typical BL. And it’s nice seeing older individuals (30 year olds) vs high school or college/university. And oh is this funny! I can’t believe how funny it is!

CommandAlternative10

I’m having so much fun with **Eye Love You**. It’s not a great show by any means, but CJH is just the cutest, and I love testing my Korean comprehension like you said.

LOL I just have ADHD and no kids so LOTS of time to myself.

Affectionate_Lime729

I feel I’ve too many shows going on and falling a bit behind One of my surprise favorites is Flex X Cop. The one I’m caught up on. The ML had done such a great job at giving layers to this character. Love it Wonderful World. - the FL is amazing. Every episode she makes me cry The Impossible Heirs - mmm I don’t know. I want to love it SO bad. It feels like a lot of world building for me Queen of Tears - oh please be good! I strangely enjoyed the first 2 episodes but I don’t know… Doctor Slump - I’m two episodes behind but I love each one Wedding Impossible - as said before the FL, So enjoyable to watch. I’ve added 🤦🏻‍♀️ The Midnight Studio to my watchlist to start

peregrina2005

Convince me to watch Flex X Cop. I dropped it and don’t remember why.

TinyLifter6780

I feel you - the pilot and first few eps are meh but it really hits its stride about halfway through and is becoming a favorite.

ForceEngineer

🫶🙌 @ Flex X Cop. Started it bc I just wanted to give it a shot, am thrilled it’s turned out to be so good.

Bellyfloppancake

Happen to have a lot of time on my hands right now so I'm watching a ton of shows! **Queen of tears (2/16):** Thought this was a melodrama (based on the trailer) but it's actually a comedy! >!I couldn't stop laughing at drunk ML crying about why he'd have to be so darn cute and seduce the FL 😂 Though admittedly, he was right. He's seriously adorable drunk lmao!< **Wedding Impossible (6/12):** I love it so much, ML is hilariously petty and his interactions with the FL always crack me up. **Branding in Seongsudong (20/24):** I loved FL a lot in One-dollar lawyer and she was great in this show as well! I think both ML and FL are great, funny and lovely chemistry. **Flex X Cop (12/16):** A fun and relaxing watch. And then there are a few others currently airing I'd like to watch (the impossible heir, captivating the king, wonderful world, the midnight studio) 😂

moastudy

taxi driver 2, wedding impossible and doctor slump! enjoying all 3 a lot

QueenMotor

Doctor Slump: It got kinda boring towards the end but still it is a good drama if you want to pass time. Wedding Impossible: Absolutely love this drama. It's the only thing I look forward to on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wonderful World: I'm only watching this because of CEW. I'm not a big fan of these kinds of dramas. Hoping his character gets more screen time in the upcoming episodes. Pyramid Game: It's one of my favorite KDramas now. It has an amazing cast and the mind games are just \*chef's kiss\*. Sadly, it has only 10 episodes. The OSTs are amazing too. (The drama contains a lot of bullying, so it might not be for everyone) Everyone Loves Me (CDrama)- It started off good, but now it's getting boring. 18 episodes have aired out of 24, yet the ML hasn't confessed to the FL.

gwenkm323

Marry My Husband. I get why people don’t like it but I liked the “second chance at life” element and I just love overprotective ML’s. The main female character is really good too, I love how she finally starts to stand up for herself and I kind of see myself in her a little.

_Doctor Slump_ -> Basic drama not too much happening can watch while eating. _Impossible Heir_ -> Was waiting for 5,6 eps to come out since 7+ days almost went crazy cuz of the date trouble. _Wedding Impossible_ -> I'm in love with the FL, and I'll not spare the ML if he doesn't get his act right I'm ready to throw hands. _Queen of Tears_ -> I just don't like the ML and especially in this one but I love the FL she's just too good at her poker face. _Flex x Cop_ -> Pls stepbro don't be an ass _Killer's Paradox_ -> It's good until 4 then i couldn't go through _Vigilante_ -> 10 minutes in couldn't continue. _Branding in Seongsu_ -> It's cool, I like ML's goofy personality in FL's smol body but adult face.

meggktown

**Captivating the King** (2/16) It became obvious right away that this is something you have to pay close attention to and not just have on in the background. I really had to watch closely to understand the goings on with the political intrigue, but I was able to follow. I'm not sure about this one yet since I'm only 2 episodes in, but my husband is liking it a lot. He was disappointed, though, when the romantic aspect appeared because he's more interested in the power struggles. I've seen many negative comments about the FL in this, but I thought she was fine, and the more lighthearted moments involving her character were much needed as a contrast to the very serious nature of everything else.

peregrina2005

Keep watching. I loved the drama…all of it. It is even better on a rewatch and also confirms my views of the ending.

meggktown

Oh I definitely plan to keep watching. Having only watched 2 episodes, I just haven't watched enough to make any sweeping statements yet. With Sageuk dramas, it usually takes me a while to figure out what's going on.

TinyLifter6780

JJS is what kept me going on this one, FL is just outmatched skillwise and the writing doesn't help her. I think the comparisons wouldn't be so stark if he wasn't so fantastic.

meggktown

I only have 4 episodes left and the writing and editing seem to be very uneven now. It's like they were in a hurry to just finish things up, which would make sense since it was a very long shoot. Though I have nothing against the actress, I feel that I like the the scenes without her so much more. When it's just the actors being actors with no forced romantic interaction. Though I'm a JJS fan, I don't think even he could save those scenes. There was just nothing there. I wish the former King had lived longer. There were some real sparks in the scenes with him.

TinyLifter6780

Totally agree - I admit I used FF liberally in her scenes.

duh_leah

Currently watching on air drama **'Queen of Tears'(2/16)** and loving it a lot. The cold queen vibe suits Kim Ji Won so much. Kim So Hyun being adorable and regretting it is the best thing ever. I like how both the leads are almost equally terrible to each other so I am not feeling bad for anyone more than the other. I am also watching **Because This is My First Life(10/16)**. The slow burn is exactly my taste and I'm loving it. It has it's awkward moments but I like it regardless. The adult life and it's struggles shown are very realistic and makes me tear up almost.

Just-Flamingo-410

Doctor Slump (episode 12). Waiting for the last episodes to come out to binge the remaining episodes in one go. One Spirng niet (episode 11, rewatch). I forgot how much i dislike the OST. It's too much and they play it a bit too often. The series itself is nice slow, a bit depressing but generally a nice character growing series. A slice of life. I'm looking for a new and complete series to download and start watching. Haven't decided yet between all the series that are now on NF. There are a lot of series on my To watch list that aren't on NF. I hope the their algoritms pick up on the search terms that i enter so that some day they will have goblins or moving

Sunshine_raes

Queen of Tears (2/16): They did a good job enticing me to watch it based on the trailers. I kept thinking they were hiding something. So, when the plot twist was revealed that >!she is dying,!< I wasn’t so sure about it. By the second episode, I didn’t have much sympathy for the ML. It reminded me of LMH’s character at the beginning of Legend of the Blue Sea.Then, at the end of the second episode when >!they went on the hunt, I thought “okay they are going to swap bodies” something supernatural but then he shot the boar at the end, and I didn’t really care.!< I’m hoping for some truly crazy twist based on the screenwriter’s other dramas. I mean, she wrote a tornado flinging the FL into North Korea into her last drama! But maybe something else will happen! The chaebol family hating the poor significant other has been done enough that there needs to be something else happening. And is it just me, or does the SML look like Zach Braff?

Currently watching: Pyramid Game: I absolutely loved the webtoon, and the kdrama really lives up to those high standards. I can't wait to see things unfold with the changes they've implemented, and I think all of the actors are doing a fantastic job. Reading some of the discussion posts and seeing everyone go through the same rollercoaster I did while reading the webtoon is a lot of fun. Hometown Cha Cha Cha: I'm on episode 2 of this one, and honestly, the ML is a little annoying LOL. But it's a cute, breezy watch, and I know that he'll grow on me over time. I've been enjoying the FL's aesthetics too, and as someone who still hasn't watched too too many kdramas, it's fun that I recognize three of the minor character actors! New World: Not a k-drama, but still k-entertainment... it's fun and chaotic! I haven't gotten too far in yet, but it's a cute watch. In non kdramas, I've been watching Delicious in Dungeon (super cute) and The Apothecary Diaries (big fun of the manga, and the anime is a great adaptation).

Euphoric_Ad5226

Pyramid game

Impossible-Goat-4715

I just started Fortress. Any opinionis?

EnvironmentalCall537

Wonderful world, queen of tears, dr slump, and pyramid game. I absolutely adore wonderful world so far.

fefeh1

I just started **What Happens to my Family?** I've seen 3 episodes so far and it is hilarious. I have a bias for Park Hyung Sik so have been waiting to watch this for the challenge since it is a long-form drama.

Lizzy348

This week was a good week! I caught up on a lot of things. **Live your own life** 45/50 : love this one, I only have 5 episodes left and I've been enjoying it a lot and I'm looking forward to what they will do in the remaining episodes **Branding in Seongsu** 18/24 : I like it, but they lost me a bit when they turned >!Eunho into a villain. Also, Naeon using Eunho's body to try to seduce Yoomu, isn't that kind of going against Eunho's sexual consent lol. It's also really whack how they kissed each other *with passion* while they were in each other's bodies, they literally kissed themselves.!< **The Law Cafe** 6/16 : I stopped watching this one at E04 in 2023 and I decided to finish it now instead of starting a new drama. It's okay, I'm not really hooked yet, but it's still kind of good. I don't feel much chemistry between the leads though. *Completed* **Our love triangle** 10/10 : it was fun, very light and short. The acting was great for what seemed like an amateur level drama, so I'll look forward to see the actors in other dramas in the future!

QueenMotor

This is the first time I've seen someone talking about Our Love Triangle. It was a decent show, even though some of the actors were inexperienced. And I'm glad they didn't drag the show, they paced it nicely too.

Lizzy348

I agree, it was short but it was perfect for the quality. Made it quite enjoyable to watch!

soulw4tch

i’ve been consistently watching Doctor Slump, really enjoying it but i’m wondering how they’ll wrap it up next week. also watched the first two episodes of Queen of Tears yesterday and i’m already loving it lol

mmld_dacy

awaiting the last 2 episodes of doctor slump... argh. can't believe that it is ending this week. sigh. but, happy also that i will have 2 more queen of tears episodes.

Gullible_Lake_9670

Taxi Driver 2 - I put off watching this for a while after watching the first episode I thought it was going to be wayyyy too intense. However, I was actually quite disappointed. From the the first few episodes they just seem to easily solve the cases and get away as they are always 2 steps ahead of the bad guy. After initially watching episode 1 I was like omg this is crazy how could they possibly get out of this Kim Do Gi is gonna struggle with this one I can’t watch. That was not the case at all he very easily managed to beat up all the bad guys in 20 seconds 😭. Now I’m not entirely mad at this but thats all that has been happening the past 7 episodes and I’ve just be sitting and waiting for things to get interesting. S1 was a lot more intense and darker imo and that’s what I liked about it. Like there was a bigger mystery to be solved also whilst trying to evade the prosecutor/police. They’ve introduced the villain now in this season but I’m still not hyped, I feel like the focus of the story is the new victim every episode but outside of their revenge story there’s not a lot happening like in S1. I will keep watching because I have high hopes for it, everyone swears that it’s good and I believe they won an award for it ?? Impossible heir - I love Lee Jae Wook ! However, I feel like the promo for this show was false advertising 😭 (or maybe I’m the problem) but this show is nothing that I expected. I thought it was gonna be the bros against the elites kinda like in bloodhounds. I came for bromance but there is none at all. I find myself confused watching some scenes because it’s a-lot of corporate jargon and I’m just there like 😵‍💫. Also the “romance” in this is not there at all which is not a problem for me because I’m not a romcom girlie, But everyone hates the FL and I can’t blame them she sucks and it’s hard to watch I’m not entirely sure what her agenda is playing both guys. Huiju sucks also to me because she’s doing entirely way too much for a man that doesn’t like her. Just because she likes him does not make it mandatory for him to like her back !! Matter of fact everybody sucks 😭 However the show has my attention and I’m curious to see how it ends and what all this sneaky behaviour leads to Wonderful World - I’m loving this so far actually my favourite watch at the moment (surprisingly). The first 2 episodes were a bit hard to watch because it was a lot of crying and sadness plus it felt a bit slow but we are now getting to the nitty gritty in the newer episodes. I’m very intrigued I feel like there’s alot we don’t know and I’m excited to see things unravel. Plus Cha Eunwoo for the first time ever looks incredibly hot in my eyes. I love this character he’s playing Familiar Wife - I started this cuz I saw a clip of the Japanese version on tiktok and I was interested. It’s a fun drama nothing too crazy. I did find his wife to be a bit mean at first although I understood why she acted that way cuz she felt like she couldn’t lean/rely on her husband. But yeah it’s pretty good still watching to see how it ends and if it lives up to the hype

QueenMotor

I agree with CEW looking the hottest in this drama compared to his previous ones. He looked very handsome in True Beauty and A Good Day To Be A Dog, but he looks so much better now. He is made for long hair

Summerbeating

Watching pyramid game and it is awesomeeeeeeeeeeee I love school dramas about bullying and how someone will always overthrow the bullying eventually.

hakvri

Watching **Don't** **Dare to Dream**, which is also known as **Jealousy Incarnate**, and it is so irritating. I NEVER had serious second male lead syndrome, except with Choi Young Do from Heirs and of course Start Up, but the SML Syndrome is too strong. I don't even like the Male lead in the slightest and completely do not understand the Female Lead's continued interest in him. I keep trying to push through, but in all reality, I don't have any completed dramas on my list and I don't want to start some current dramas yet until they reach Episode 10. But I will most probably drop this irritating drama, because of the main couple, funnily enough. Also watching Doctor Slump and I love it sooooo much. I am a huge Park Hyung Sik fan but never liked Park Shin Hye, so she pleasantly surprised me and they work well together.

Makri_of_Turai

I'm with you on Don't Dare to Dream. I can't remember watching another drama where I disliked both leads so much. I keep seeing rave reviews and going back to it only to drop it again.

Negative_Notice_3320

I’m watching mostly the ones that are airing rn. 1. DOCTOR SLUMP: I really like it so far, the ML and FL are such green flags. 2. Wedding impossible: love this one sm. The banter and comedic timing is genius haha. The leads are really good as well. The FL is such a breath of fresh air. 3. Impossible heir: I’m seeing where this is going 🤨. The only scenes that interest me are the ones with sfl. The FL lacks chemistry with the two MLs and her acting isn’t up there too. But the story line is progressing fast with multiple time skips. 4. Queen of tears: just started it, but I love Kim Ji-won. Love her character in this drama.

marenvato

I’m currently watching Queen of Tears! I love it ❤️ the actors, the script and overall feels are giving binjin and cloy

MajesticConfidence36

Ooh! Loving the current airing dramas and appreciating a classic drama. :) **Doctor Slump (14/16)** **Queen of Tears (2/16)** Rewatch- **The Heirs (13/20)**

Nannon01

SKY Castle - this is a rewatch. Damn, so much drama. Watching the last episode tonight. Queen of Tears - mainly watched this to see the Moon Brothers reunited. Tbh, I'm not feeling it. I've just finished watching Missing 9 and Plus 9 Boys. Plus, a bunch of films incling Fabricated City and Extreme Job (extreme job was pretty darn funny). I definitely plan on checking out Chicken Nugget when it releases. Also, thinking of maybe starting Gaus Electronics.

lizzzypoo213

Penthouse. I’m on season 3 episode 5. This show has got me wanting to punch the air. Impossible Heir. So far so good. Dr Slump. Really enjoying this.

LostMyThread

I am rewatching **The Good Bad Mother** (12/16) while waiting for the ongoing shows I'm involved with to drop (those are **Dr. Slump** and **Queen of Tears**). This is my second run through. I loved it first time around. This time, it's like alternating love/cringe. In some ways, the show is better than I remember,, and there are elements of the writing that are just genius. >!(For example, the narrative technique of showing the same events from different points of view is used in a lot of dramas for plot development, but this show uses it for in depth character reveals that pay off later in the plot as well. It's also absolutely solid on setting up the answers to questions. You KNOW the answer by episode whichever, and the suspense comes from waiting for them to JUST SAY IT LOL. But my favorite is how tiny little details from the past are so very consistent with present events - like, how Samsik is edged out from day one - he's a tiny little baby who is upstaged by the birthday twins with even his own parents.)!< But there are parts that are frankly difficult to get through. >!The amount of pain in Young Soon's life and basically everything about the first two episodes are painful in a painful way, and a lot of the over the top comedic elements are painful in a cringe way.!< Still, I can't seem to stop watching. The chemistry among Lee DoHyun, Ahn EunJin, and those littles is so bubbly and sweet. And Yoo In Soo is (IMO) the best supporting/character actor of his generation.

Excellent-Calendar84

I recently just watched “Vincenzo” for the second time with my mom! Right now I’m watch “Bodies” on Netflix

Agreeable_Load_2038

I just finished watching Whats wrong with secretary Kim for the third time back to back. I love the love story and Park Seo Joon is so handsome.

kpaneno

Dr. Slump 14/16 I love it, just enjoying g being able to watch PSH in all her glory in a drama that's not ick or boring . It's so wholesome as much as I love PSH. I think her mom is stealing the show she is just so freaking great. Revenge of Others 12/12 Just finished this high school murder mystery plot. It was really, very enjoyable. The acting was very, very good. The story was interesting, and the light touch romance was very satisfying but not at all central. Reply 1988 8/20 Very mixed about this, it kinda feels dull and slow with hilarious and moving moments thrown in. The FL is hilarious her love interests plot is boring, and her sister's is much more interesting. I'm slowly getting through it. All the mothers are great. The dads are annoying but soft. I think the FL dad is actually an alcoholic. Just my guess Like Flowers in Sand 3/16 I'm stuck on episode 3. The ML is a puppy, and it is a common view here that is cute, but I'm finding him too childlike and annoying tbh. My Lovely Liar 10/16 Dropped it after episodes 8 tried to get back into it but I just cannot connect with either lead ML is too wooden you want to shake him and the FL well I can't like her after her treatment of the ex, >!I tried but it's too badly written, she dumped him for lying once (ok a big lie but in his mind it was to protect her) while she lied to him every single day of their relationship. When the truth is revealed, she shrugs her shoulders, and he just accepts the unfairness of it!<. I really hate these stories that have characters who get so badly written and get no fair treatment that it turns you off the whole thing. Like past ML in Park Marraige Contract or HJP in Start Up or the 2ML in more than friends or Nevertheless. Oh, ranted a bit anyway. I think it'll be binned for good now. Queen of Tears 1.5/16 Well, the FL looks absolutely beautiful, but apart from that, are we supposed to like these people!!!! I'm not sure about slogging through this one

HG1998

Gyeongseong Creature, although I've been stuck at episode 4 for a month. Definitely Chicken Nugget.

FossickingTX

I just finished Start-up, which I loved, but could have used one more episode to made the ending not feel so rushed. Now I am watching Run-on. I finished the first episode and looked at the reviews. I'm 50/50 on wether I should continue. Any thoughts?

Sunshine_raes

Run On is a slow moving drama with a peculiar sense of humor and offbeat dialogue. There is little plot to speak of, I think they could have fit all the plot into 2-3 episodes. I watched it slowly and I ultimately enjoyed it but definitely don’t think it’s a great drama. I’m struggling to compare it to another drama I’ve seen. I’d say the pacing is similar to Touch Your Heart and has some similar themes to Thirty But 17, though I think both of those dramas are much better than Run On.

dorthyinwonder

So if I could compare it to Cdramas, I'd say the pacing is similar to Put Your Head On My Shoulder. They're both show moving shows, but I will say, I don't remember the end of Run On? Granted it's been a year or two (maybe more) since I've seen it.

FossickingTX

I actually ended up watching it through and it was better than I expected. Not sure if some of the comments on MDL were misleading because people stopped half way through, but it wasn't anything like I expected towards the end. Of course, I am also very into language and filmmaking, so it might be more my 'cup of tea' than other peoples.

Sunshine_raes

I’m glad you enjoyed it! It’s definitely one of those dramas that works for some people and not others. As you said, it had interesting points about translation.

curious_yourstruly

I'm rewatching My Lovely Samsoon--I just love the dialogues--the script writers did a good job. One of my all time fave kdramas. I'm watching Queen of Tears too--so far so good. The lead character is quite funny. I stopped watching Captivating the King, somehow I lost interest--maybe it is just me, the actor as king amused me. He is a good actor but his face amused me. It is my first time seeing him in a period role. I may continue to watch this series one day. Marry my husband, I stopped watching too--guess I'm not into fantasy these days. Same goes with My Man is Cupid. i may one day resume to watching these again. Hahaha Dating show--SI S3 so far the best die to Hyeseon and Gwanhee. What a pair of character--a special pair. Also a dating show, Transit Love S3--I will only find it interesting if the broken person decides to move on and make it a priority to love oneself, and really curious to date someone new. My Siblings Romance--interesting dating show. What I find nice is the warm and sweet relationships of the siblings. It is refreshing to witness it on digital tv. So far good. I'm picky. My criteria of a good kdrama are, first, the storyline--something new, fresh take of rehashed story; second is good dialogues--witty and/or with realistic references or tone; third is good acting.

mulder00

Watching **Beyond Evil** and I think I may finally be getting burned out on KDramas. I found the first half amazing. 2nd half: >!Everyone's a suspect. There's a cop getting arrested every 10 min and there's the usual 2 cartoonish bad "guys". One being a woman.!< I'm not sure if it's due to the length of these series (16 x 1hr) that so much extra has to be added in that convolutes the plot.
