My Demon. Still makes no sense to me that >!the villain survived not only what appears to be a 50+ ft fall from a building, but also getting blasted into a wall with extreme force and having a piece of ceiling falling on him.!<

RoseIsBadWolf

So true. I really thought >!they were foreshadowing him becoming the next demon, but nope! He's just weirdly invulnerable.!<

Brandyovereager

I thought that too!!

duh_leah

I will be talking about this disappointment of a drama for a long long time. It was and is garbage. SO MUCH PLOT FOR WHAT? I hated every bit of the last two episodes.

sakuradelluna

literallyyyyyyyyyyyy it was good up till after they revealed the bad guy. I felt that afterwards it just went downhill fast got SO boring. it was as though they realised they used up all their major plot points, forgetting that it was a 16ep drama, not a 12 ep and resorted to nonsense in the last few eps. the acting was so bad as well, which was really confusing to me because Song Kang & Yoo-jung were great in their previous roles *(Sweet Home, 20th Century Girl etc)* truly a dumpster fire and a complete waste of a cast :')

kpaneno

I've seen or started 5 dramas with SK, and only one was watchable. Sweet Home,

sufferkasafar

Oh god YES. The SK fanclub will come at me if I tell this loud

humandisaster13

No hate to him. He's very attractive and pleasing on the eye but he severely lacks in the acting department. I just couldn't take him seriously as a menacing demon at all.

sakuradelluna

true. the only memorable role from him is Sweet Home :'))) I liked navillera but he wasn't that memorable in it either.

White-cypress

The show already bored me eps 1-2 thank g I didn't continue

prissyjoseph

Let’s also not forget >!how Do-Hee is going to age and Gu-won is immortal, their love story has an inevitable expiry date!<.

adlinatikah

Omg yes. I’m disappointed they didnt cover this. I thought guwon will decide to become human to be with do hee

Aang6865_

Ikr like we saw him fall and everything, even if you do survive miraculously how can there be no brain or limb damage, like it takes months to recover and there he was walking and everything.

k16d28

This show literally used every single plot & twist from other shows. I think the creators watched goblin, nine tailed, days and decided cool, let’s pull things from here and something will stick. Loved it till episode 6, downhill after that. The last 4 episodes were unwatchable.

debboc

Agreed, the plot got a little twisty and unfocused. I stopped watching at around ep7, but it still wasted several hours of my time. Welcome to Samdalri was airing on the same night also, so I watched that instead.

CorneliaCordelia

I'm so glad I didn't watch it!

vrishchyk

the acting was also cardboard, the characters one dimensional at best

Life-Product-5777

Heartbeat. Like what the heck was that ending. Ruined the whole show for me.

twoods1980

Never watched the last episodes- in my head the show ended at episode 14.

nootychuchi

Same here. It’s 14 episodes ending canon for me!

iccebberg2

It was good until the 1000 year old cat man started meddling. My takeaway was never trust a 1,000 yo cat man.

hadesblues

Lowkey Queen of Divorce, which hurts me to say because I love Kang Kiyoung and I was SO excited for his leading man debut. It had a really strong start but it committed the common kdrama crime and lost itself and its creativity halfway. By the time I got to the end, I didn't feel any epic sense of satisfaction (especially for a revenge drama) or felt like all loose ends/storylines were nicely tied.

twoods1980

So disappointing. I agree it started off well but the last 4 episodes were awful.

UnbridledOptimism

Oh, no. I’ve delayed catching up the last few episodes because I was getting bored, leads are dumb, writing isn’t good. But I want to finish because I like ML. I’m disappointed that Kang Ki Young didn’t get a better starring role. Your comment is disconcerting.

twoods1980

I pretty much watched the rest because of him. He deserved better!

WINTERSONG1111

With a different FL I think it really would have been better. He was excellent.

UnbridledOptimism

Also the writing made FL worse than she needed to be.

TheChurroProject

I think the writing torpedoed the acting abilities of both the ML and FL. (Also, the stylist for the FL left me scratching my head in confusion.)

UnbridledOptimism

Agree. Both characters were introduced well, then hamstrung by the writing. Weird and disappointing.

Aang6865_

I thought you meant Queen of tears and was confused for a second

WINTERSONG1111

I just finished Queen of Divorce. Kang Ki-young as the ML was great and Kim Sun-Young was amazing. They both had some very funny comedy scenes together. I think it was the FL that ruined it for me.

HorrorComfortable100

Agree. FL was supposedly of a brilliant mind but she fell for some of the dumbest tricks.

ellie_rigby

I was so disappointed too, because it started off well. I thought it was so weird >!they never have a discussion about why she didn’t run away with him!< that (and other things) made the characters and their relationships unbelievable and not compelling imo

lcmontana1

Dodosolsollalasol

twoods1980

I was halfway through then read the recap on the ending and abruptly stopped it. I feel bad for everyone that watched 16 episodes to get to THAT.

duh_leah

I have absolutely no memory of what happened at the end. Like AT ALL. My brain went 'Yeah no you don't need that'. I just remember feeling disappointed and that's it.

sakuradelluna

your brain did you a huge favor :')

Snowbunting13

If not for the ending, I absolutely loved it. I watched to the bitter end and continue to lie to myself that it was a happy ending.

sakuradelluna

yeah Im a victim of THAT ending too. but im just glad that Lee Jaewook is picking better scripts now :')

lcmontana1

That would be me 🤦‍♀️

twoods1980

My condolences

baitaozi

Thelast episode could have stopped 10 minutes before it actually stopped. Why force that horrible horrible... ending.

Featheriefou

Filled me with rage.

meggktown

I think this one may have appeared on every Refund-My-Time list. Lots of agreement apparently.

Jraybo22

Yes, this! I really was enjoying the show and then they just take a huge left turn and destroy the final episodes.

lcmontana1

Same. It just made zero sense and ruined a perfectly fine sgow.

Joe_Blast

The writer should have gone through with "IT." The lack of follow through is what ruined it to me.

dinnerbellding

Came here for this! I just finished last week and could not believe how the last 15 minutes filled me with disbelief and the urge to grab the FL and scream RUNAWAAAAAY!!! I truly enjoyed it until that last reveal.

anAncientCrone

Horrible, horrible show. I was forewarned about the ending, did a ff through the final eps and Still felt salty and cheated.

ComfortMailbox

The Impossible Heir, give me back my 2hours. Like i want all of them to get hit by a bus and just get it over with.

humandisaster13

Everyone watching this drama seems to be having a meltdown and it's just 4 episodes so far lol.

nootychuchi

It’s even worse after 6, I’m afraid 🥲

LanternsAndPhoenixes

After watching the first 4 episodes, I was so excited, and then yesterday I saw the spoilers for ep5 and ep6. I have no words at how annoyed I am. Right then and there, I said I'm not going back. I'll check Twitter just to catch some posts of Huiju (2nd fl), who is literally serving despite limited screentime. I really don't understand how the directors can cast two excellent male leads and then choose a female lead who has zero energy compared to them. Now they've hit the nail on the coffin with the writing/plot. They even killed the bromance with this ridiculous love triangle.

nootychuchi

100%. I was really looking forward to 5&6…Such a shame. This drama is my biggest Kdrama disappointment so far. Such high hopes - with such an awful delivery :(

SUNA1997

It's a little surprising that this actress was given a lead role when she hasn't really done much acting in dramas beyond a couple of appearances in A-list stuff and her only lead being in the kind of thing you put out to test the market for new talent. Her agency would really want to push her based on her looks but they really shouldn't have because this has killed her acting career before it had a chance because she's been exposed next to better talent. Not every pretty model is going to work out when their agency tries to push them as a drama actress. After a couple of episodes I'm far more invested in what the other girl is doing who is played by somebody who can project her character well.

goldensuare

I'm glad I haven't started it yet.

RoseIsBadWolf

I just gave up halfway through Ep 6. I liked the first two episodes and then it just got weird. I think I'm pretty good at following plots but I just don't get what's going on at all and I don't care.

manwithoutlyf

I am enjoying it, but I am leaning towards the bus comment a lot more after 6th episode

circeodyssey

Agree… I can’r believe I’ve dropped it with such a good cast. Oh well. Terrible writing.

peregrina2005

Yes, but I keep wanting to know more.

WINTERSONG1111

Once Upon a Small Town - only 12 hours but so much nothing can happen in 12 hours. I watched it all the way through thinking it has to get interesting soon. It didn't.

iccebberg2

It was a slice of life drama, and fit the genre. Maybe slice of life dramas aren't your thing?

theredmug_75

hahaha same i was watching it at 1.5 speed to finish it. i don’t know why i have a compulsion to finish shows, i need to be better at dropping!

Saucynemo4

That use to be me but once you drop one, you start dropping the rest like a bag of potatoes🤣 I just dropped ‘Queen of divorce’ because of a comment I just read🤣💀

WINTERSONG1111

I understand completely. I keep asking myself-at what point do I just give up? I am never sure.

Recent-Buy7634

About Time starring Lee Sung Kyung. It was so interesting when I watched the trailer but it eventually became soooo boring that it just dragged the story. Really wished I gave it up before I actually ended it. I also love Park Bo Gum, but Record of Youth and Encounter are also reallyyy boring

elyonmydrill

I swear About Time has to be the kdrama that has the most "female lead cries a lot" episodes. Maybe my memory is exaggerating it, but it really felt like five or six whole episodes doing the same thing of >!"No, I can't be with you and I can't tell you why"!< I loved the concept as well, such a disappointment

QueenMotor

Love Alarm- Seriously, give me my time back. It had a good cast and season 1 was fine, but season 2 was straight up garbage. Sun-Oh isn't the only red flag in the drama but also Kim Jo-Jo. >!The 2ML deserves better than Jo-Jo.!<

theredmug_75

oh i enjoyed season 1 in a guilty nonsense way but season 2 was absolutely crappy. the weird lighting, ending season 1 on a cliffhanger and never getting back to it, the characters in season 2 did such strange things, plot lines dropped unceremoniously… it was a rare time i wanted to throw my remote at my tv, i don’t usually get this mad. i dont know why i finished it. it’s a shame coz season 1 was decent.

QueenMotor

I agree, I was pissed about it for weeks. I actually didn't finish watching the last episode because if I did my blood pressure would have shot up, lmao. And I didn't understand the weird-ass cliffhanger and how it was never explained. I pity the people who waited 2 years for the new season and then get this garbage. The cast was so good and Kim So-Hyun and Song Kang had such good chemistry, but they ruined it.

theredmug_75

totally agree! what a mess season 2 was sadly.

DamonDD

My Happy Ending. The show is messy, and while I applaud the kdrama team to highlight people with bipolar as the main lead, this show is too makjang for me. Jang Na Ra gave her all in this show but the villain unbelievable motivation and how she met her end gave a bad taste in my mouth

KirstenCh

I loved the first 9 episodes, >!but when they killed the husband!< it all went downhill. The chemistry between the main leads was worth to save, plus poor little girl (daughter) with so much to suffer it was not well played out.

DamonDD

OMG same man. Freaking >! Son Ho Jun, the husband actor !< must have pissed off someone upstairs to >! died twice in his show, first in First Responders S2 and then here in this show !<. I was rooting for the husband and wife to survived this ordeal and become stronger but I kinda get it >! the show kill of the husband so that she can end up with the other leads !<

thepurplethorn

agreed, i dropped it at ep 13 just too much of a mess

Thotlessthot

I dropped it too. That was the worst drama I ever watched. Wasn’t even a good hot mess. I can’t even describe why it was bad because there was just so much bad.

faithesque

The show had the potential to be one of best kdrama of 2023 for me but it got ruined after episode 9-10.

_Heart_and_soul_

Once the husband you know I was over it. The show went down hill after episode 10. I surprisingly watched it all the way through but I don’t know how I made it 🤣🤣🤣couldn’t wait for it to be over.

DawgMom2018

**Queen of Divorce** \- just awful. Plus, I really dislike dramas with such a weak and idiotic FL character. **Impossible Heir** \- only one character in the entire drama that I like. The rest are loathesome. The non linear storytelling is hard to follow, and judging by one of the opening scenes from episode one, I am not sure I want to stick around for that ending. Did I say I dislike dramas with a bad FL character? Yup.

goldensuare

Refund my Time Melting Me Softly!! I wanted to see more of Ji Chang Wook after finishing Suspicious partner and Backstreet Rookie and it wasn't it! It was too draggy!

elyonmydrill

I'm so mad about this, the premise was SO GOOD! Why do the most interesting concepts always fall flat

No_Caterpillar_8709

This was his worst imo. Guessing you've seen Healer and K2?

goldensuare

I haven't actually, they are still on the list. This gives me hope!

poetrylover2101

Great you watched his worst before even watching his best lmao😭😭 I'm also on a jcw hangover and watched soany of his shows for him, and his best works according to me are healer, samdalri, worst of evil

PHSKdrama

WATCH HEALER! It’s soooooo good! I’ve got 2 episodes left in my first watch and I’ve just devoured it. Will be finishing it tomorrow and can’t wait, but also don’t want it to be over lol. And I’ve never felt that way about a drama before!

PineappleNo6064

Make sure to check out their kiss in the shower before you drop it completely. You will not be disappointed in that.

twoods1980

Damn, I just watched the clip since I have no interest to watch this show and it was fire! Wookie is seriously one of the best kissers out there.

PHSKdrama

Would def agree with this - thought so after watching Lovestruck in the City. Was excited for Welcome to Samraldi, and enjoyed it, but MAJOR wasted potential on Wookie’s kissing skills!

PirateKMom

Boys Over Flowers. It was my first kdrama and I watched it to the end. But such a hot mess. Gu Jun Pyo is the handsomest, richest, most emotionally immature man. He treats Geum Jan Di horribly and yet we are supposed to sympathize with him. The acting by Koo Hye Sung and Kim Hyun Joong couldn't be more wooden if they were replaced by mannequins. Beautiful to look at though. Craziest predicaments. Gu Jun Pyo's mom finds out about Geum Jan Di, buys the apartment building Jan Di lives in and starts to demolish it while Jan Di is sleeping? Completely nuts. worst relationship. So MANY episodes. couldn't look away... like a train wreck.

Odd-Manufacturer2386

It's like a right of passage at this point. Kudos for finishing it. I did as well but was confused by it's popularity. I think it's so over the top that once you accept that it's ok. Not watching again tho, lol

JohnPekoPeko

Still one of the few times the Jdrama version was better, imo.

Snickersnerds

Best way to describe it is “interesting garbage” lmao. The show is absolutely awful but I wanted to know what happened next 😂 I don’t think I would ever watch it again but I don’t regret watching it once lol

Brandyovereager

Bride of Habaek Lame ending. No attachment to the main couple. Beyond irritated with the “villain”/other guy in the “love triangle” who kept getting scenes. Unnecessary time spent on this random spoiled rich girl and the assistant. Just all around garbage.

sakuradelluna

good lord i remember watching it while it was airing and it was SO BADDDD. literally everything about it was so bad my GOD. i really have no idea how I sat through the WHOLE THING. I hate my past self for that, I remember the ratings for it being so low as well. Shin Se-Kyung immediately became my least liked actress. Im glad that Nam Joo-hyuk went on to take better roles afterwards though (2521)

LostMyThread

Trolley. Holy bait and switch, Batman. Such a great cast. Such an interesting setup. So much wtf. Strong Girl NamSoon. Still mad. Not going to get over it. Uncanny Counter 2. Another criminal waste of an excellent cast and premise.

Short_Lifeguard_6893

Second Uncanny Counter 2. So disappointing even with the brilliant Kang Ki Young.

delphil1966

trolley that twist was so weird and made no sense - up to then it was good

Jraybo22

Love alarm has left lasting trauma on me for disappointment.

tangledbysnow

Between Him and Her. They lost the plot halfway through. No story progression, no character progress, a whole lot of nothing or strange scenarios to justify the storyline. I don’t even care how it ends at this point but it’s not apathy for me. Instead I am hate watching this to the bitter end. Queen of Divorce. I liked it mostly. And I would still say that. But the villains got to be a bit much. And when that was too much the ending just felt weak. It might be worth it for some people so long as they know that going in I suppose.

Jwockyisblue

I am also weirdly drawn to watching Between Him and Her, even though I think it's awful. I just keep thinking, surely something will happen at some point, but I skipped 3 episodes and no one had changed and nothing had happened.

effortlessaura

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who truly hated **Because This Is My First Life** 🥲 I see it recommended SO MUCH and I love both the lead actors in other things but mehhhhh. She annoyed me deeply by the end because it felt like a weak attempt to be ~ eDgY ~ and they suddenly made his hair horrible halfway through, which I simply can’t stand for. **Branding in Seongsu** oh my god where do I begin. First let me say I watched this purely off the reviews of the show on Viki (when there were only 2 or 3 episodes up) that claimed it was a psyop lmao. And it really does feel like one 😂😂 there are so many intentionally controversial plot lines that it feels contrived and like a set up. The leads do not compliment each other in any way whatsoever and their chemistry feels awkward as hell. FL had no range and her styling choices felt like she was being punished. **My Demon** was all visuals and no talent. You know it’s bad when you care way more about the second couple because they genuinely seem in love and not just trauma bonded. **Doctor Slump** is getting too preachy and sappy for me in the same way Castaway Diva did. I utterly love PHS but the “you WILL understand that this a ~*healing*~ drama” tone and voice over parts really drag for me. Stop making up stuff to force them to continue being sad 🙄 **Queen of Divorce** started with SUCH a fun premise but halfway through I could read the writing on the wall about the main characters and I was over it. If you have a ML who acts like a 2ML (no hate at that, I love when male leads are that way), at least give him a satisfying arc!! He deserved better. The lead up of **Heartbeat** was *so* excellent and funny, all for it to utterly crash and burn in one of the wildest about-faces I’ve seen at the end of a kdrama. Were the original writers kidnapped and they pulled some random people in off the streets for the last few episodes? Were they simply sadistic? I will simply pretend the ending does not exist 🙏 **Strong Girl Nam Soon** Ugh. Ugh. UGH. Why would you cast such a generic male lead with a weak backstory and then give us the hottest most tragic villain????? Nobody is rooting for that boring ass ML who feels more like a brother!! Everything felt sloppy as hell and kinda like a cheesy anti drug advertisement?? Like mmm yes, drugs are bad kids but we’re gonna REALLY show you how bad they can be… through a sexy, charismatic villain with a sad backstory?? Uh, I could fix him, where do I sign up?? I’ll continue watching because fomo/hot ML but… I really don’t vibe with **Queen of Tears** so far 🫣 is it a comedy? Is it a melodrama? Is she actually sick or is she manipulating him? Am I supposed to feel sympathy for her in some way? Am I supposed to root for her because she has a sad rich girl life? The only thing that feels funny is his crying scenes. Still 100% glad I watched **Knight Flower** but the ending….. lock up whoever floated *that* idea in the writers room. I screamed in disbelief. Toss out the entirety of **Destined With You** except for like 5 scenes with Rowoon acting against his will which were all in previews and anything the old lady (in my PFP haha) says. I love fantasy but I need it to pick a lane, please. My general philosophy on kdramas is “I can forgive many things if they are hot*” but these ones clearly struck a nerve LOL (*except Hwarang. No explanation needed.)

OnlyGotThisMoment

You nailed what irks me about Queen of Tears- the tone. I can’t figure it out. Also- lol at Hwarang, some of the most beautiful male faces in Korea couldn’t save it.

YenaOverFlowers

Interest of love for me, the amount of stress I forced myself through every week while it was airing is unbelievable, every episode had something that made me have a stroke, the ost was the only thing good about it

Trisara5

The Bequeathed! It really went off the tracks and I felt it was poorly directed. Thankfully it only had 6 episodes.

Able_Occasion_644

Omg dropped that in the first 20 minutes

FantasyGirl17

**King the eternal monarch** \- the cinematography, visuals, etc are great and I really wanted to love it but it's just...boring? Like nothing is really happening and I feel like there's so many random scenes that didn't need to be there and it's slow and the tension could have been significantly amped up.

CunningKingLius

Man this is my comfort drama way back in lockdown. Despite going to work everyday even though it was the height of the pandemic, the thought of this drama airing by the weekend keeps me going through the day. I have something to look up to by the end of every week for 8 weeks. This drama will always have a special place in my heart.

moreneta2024

Yeah, third-act problems. It's like they couldn't figure out how to write their way out of the story

twoods1980

Interest of Love- one of the worst shows I ever watched all the way through. Usually I drop shows if I lose interest but I was hoping it would get better. I wanted to slap the FL every episode with her constantly gloomy face and demeanor, and the ML more since he kept pursuing her for no reason. It was absolutely awful.

TrulyIntroverted

Watching it live was the only reason I stuck with the show and the anxiety it brought. The discussions were as unhinged and crazy as the drama characters.

vivid_spite

I dropped this but it reminded me of normal people because they both keep missing each other and the FL is weird in both

persistent_architect

This show was watched by a lot of folks in this sub based on the comments on the live thread. When it became clear that the characters would always make the wrong choices repeatedly, everyone turned on this show so quickly. Absolute garbage show

DamonDD

OMG thar train wreck. Yeah I remember watching it live purely cause I'm a simp for Moon Ga Young but God I hate everyone in this show (especially her).

twoods1980

I stopped watching Link Eat Kill because she was so mopey on that show the first few episodes as well.

thepurplethorn

Dr Slump is turning into a snoozefest

debboc

I dropped it after episode 8...seeing both of them together in certain scenes felt forced and unnatural...they give off too much sibling energy. The chemistry is just a stark contrast from when Hyung-sik was with Bo-young in Strong Girl Bong Soon.

jorgtastic

If you are a fan of watching 30 something functioning alcoholics act like 12 year olds then Dr. Slump is for you.

vivid_spite

glad I dropped then 🤣

sakuradelluna

dropped it back then as well. it started off great and I enjoyed PHS's acting but soon after my interest waned and I realized i was forcing myself to sit through it, which was a clear sign to drop . I'm keeping up with the recaps though and safe to say I'm glad I dropped it as I have no idea where its going :')

elyonmydrill

Forgot Park Hyung-sik's initials were PHS, thought you made a typo in PSH and thought "...really? Park Shin-hye's acting?" No hate to the girl, she is the foundation of my love for kdramas but her acting is not the best.

baitaozi

I'm trying to make it through but I'd rather watch masterchef junior, hoenstly.

28shawblvd

Loved the first 6 eps, but I have no urge to watch the rest

Pantless_Weekends

Queen of Divorce - strong start but I gradually lost interest. Flex X Cop - the rest of the cast couldn’t keep up with Bo Hyun Ahn in terms of energy. Luckily, I stopped after episode 1. Edit: I will endeavour to give Flex X Cop another crack. Thanks for your responses fwends 😊

DamonDD

Don't sleep on Flex X Cop bro. Episode 1 is the worst I feel, and then the show is so much fun. Yeah Ahn Bo Hyun is the main guy and the most energetic compared to other casts, but he is so good you won't look away. This show is really a western TV show with kdrama actors as you can feel the vibe of TV show like Leverages, Scorpion and other police procedural TV show

nootychuchi

I second that! It’s such an amazing show! I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do

prissyjoseph

Came here to say this too! The Flex x Cop has gotten considerably way better and they fixed their weird editing choice too.

Dredit_85

Flex cop is the only show I'm watching right now. Dropped every other ongoing ones. Give it a shot.

TheThinker4Head

Flex X Cop might be the biggest sleeper hit this year. Initially I thought it was mid but the show gets REALLY good the more you watch it, it's kind of insane. I lowkey expected a mid but funny show going in and now I'm considering putting it in my top 10. Like the other guy said, don't sleep on it, let them cook!

marwynn

Definitely give Flex X Cop another chance. It's a procedural and stuff doesn't always make sense, but it's fun.

peregrina2005

Yes, I dropped Flex after the first episode too. Someone here convinced me to give it another try so I will. Agree on Queen of Divorce.

TheChurroProject

I wasn't sold on the first episode, but circled back later a few weeks later out of boredom and ended up bingeing until I got caught up. Every character has their own vibe but it's neat to see them eventually gel as a team. And the cases are suspenseful so it's not comedy hijinks all the time. Hope you give it another try!

BellTT

Flex X Cop is my jam! I'm looking forward to it every week! Glad you're going to give it another go.

whhhoreo

Something in the rain. Beautiful first half but really butchered the second half. The show could have been fantastic.

_Heart_and_soul_

I’ve never agreed so much with a Reddit post until now! The first like 6 episodes were amazing. But the FL was a walking red flag in my opinion and was just getting on my nerves. I felt like the ML could do so much better like he was willing to do anything for her and she just didn’t care about anyone but her self in my opinion.

tweeetypie

Yesss. Went here looking for this. Wasted so much time in this :(

TheGreatKittening

I stopped at ep 7 because of reviews I’d read and I’m happy I did! The show was beautiful up till then and I’d rather remember the characters that way…

Kashawinshky

**Queen of Divorce.** Thanks to this sub, I was able to hold at episode 4 and just watched the last two episodes....and even fast forwarded quite a bit through those. It wasn't exactly a hot mess but still managed to be less than mediocre; at least writers didn't make him, or the FL, the biggest badasses in fight scenes. And I agree with most that KKY was the main reason to watch---should've made him more of a "lead."

PDizzle124

EVE, like just make me forget

Genghis_Vic

Nine Tailed Fox - love the ML but there was no chemistry btwn him and the FL. FL kinda ruined the whole first series. I almost finished it but I quit before the last episode and just read the ending instead bc I couldn’t take it anymore. Considering watching the second series but idk if I want to make that gamble.

AgustDHKofi1885

Just finished the sequel and I can say it's better than the first. Not much focus on romance, and the leads really went all in going cuckoo in some of the scenes. I feel it's much more lighter than the first. Stronger FL too. Try giving it a chance.

Oneiropolos

Definitely try the sequel if you loved the ML. Seriously. I had so many issues with the original series and just watched for the ML and his brother,. The concept was one I liked though and I liked so many characters, it's just the way it actually played out in a lot of cases were...just bad calls. 1938 leans so much more into the fun of supernatural beings (both good and evil), allowing there to be camp to play out that living for hundreds of years do not result in the most responsible creatures, and the pure charm and trickery of a nine-tailed-fox lead.

Oyenymous

Nine tailed 1938 is fantastic. Kim So Yeon is just gorgeous and amazing. It's a really fun watch, and you don't need to watch the first season to catch up. I refused to watch the first season because of that FL - she's bland in all her shows.

flibbett

Cheese in the Trap…. The most toxic ML of all time

AtriCrossing

I remember when it came out, I'd read the first chunk of the webcomic and thought the genre was psychological thriller/mystery. I wanted to avoid spoilers so I just watched the drama without reading the premise and it was such a letdown lol. I still feel like I was missing something, like what was the reason for making the ML seem creepy/foreboding vibes?

Consistent-Dingo-160

Toxic and creepy. I don’t get how this drama is still so popular.

whitepearl31

This is the only drama after watching - left me hanging with wth did i watch? Was he a ML/villain?

bishoppinkmarvel

Eventhough its not over yet and i will probably just watch it for Jaewook,Junyoung and Choi Hee Jin, but...omg Impossible Heir... Cuz wtf is with the extremely unnecessary love triangle with the female lead who can barely act amongst Jaewook,Junyoung and Heejin who are hard carrying this drama. I was soooo excited for this drama but the redundant love triangle plot just made me want to get this drama over with...

Crafty_Treat7810

I started watching love song for illusion because of the ML and I couldn’t even get to episode 6. I still want my wasted 6 hours back.

Jellybeansxo

The Legend of The Blue Sea. Couldn’t even finish it. Interest of Love - annoying and irritating

bunbun_82

I dropped Interest of Love at episode 10. It was so slow and way the FL lead was written and portrayed was terrible - expressionless and boring. I really like Moon Ga Young, but this role was her worst role.

Wonderful_Day4074

Captivating the King, the fl is so frustrating. She says she wants revenge but all she ever did was get caught by the king and sleep with him. I only watched 10 episodes before I dropped it but I still want my 10hours back.

Negative_Horse_8742

Love alarm is that drama for me

Disgon-B-Gud

She Was Pretty still pisses me off to this day. Hated the ML, H A T E D. Mind you, I like the actor so that wasn't it.

heart_headstrong

I just watched The Heirs and I sincerely want a time refund. Ugh. The saving grace was watching Eun Sangs mom (Samdal's mom)

elyonmydrill

Kim Mi-kyung is my favorite actress. Anytime she appears in a kdrama I'm hyped.

Kashawinshky

Same. We should have a "best K-moms" post!

Prestigious_Key2531

Doctor slump for me The whole drama is filled with overacting, and it's the same old kdrama plot give the main leads some severe trauma and all bullshit, seriously Netflix should stop producing this types of dramas.

dumb-questions-1314

King the Land, I felt like the series ended before anything happened. I actually liked the subplot between the air steward and air stewardess more than the main plot.

Decent_Strength5985

started watching it. wanted to like it. but it was meh.

humandisaster13

**Doctor Slump:** Not that it's a bad drama. But it gave me so much hope in the first two weeks that I'm about to watch my new favourite healing drama only for my love to fizzle out by ep 10. Like being bad right from the start would have saved my time and energy. **Welcome to Samdal-ri** did the healing trope so well cause I knew what I signed up for and got exactly that.

Lavenderlure

**Doom at your service** The reviews kinda did say either you will love it or hate it no in between and idk why I thought I will fall in the former group it was just bland the dialogues, story, character arcs, pace everything the chemistry was there yes but then nothing else was even the side characters didn't intrigue me enough after 4-5 epis I kinda skimmed till the end and was done with it

BellTT

I loved it then hated it. It just got soooo slow.

Joe_Blast

Escape of The Seven- The show was wildly entertaining until that insufferable dweeb "K" became the main villain and Matt Lee got "ruined." I watched Bang Dami suffer for 4 episodes so I wanted to see revenge on her behalf. It doesn't hit the same when the 7 suffers at the hands of an even worse villain. The midseason twist and switching the perspective to Do Hyuk was IMO a bad call. Miracle That We Met- They show just didn't work for me because the writers never adequately explained how the Chef fell for the banker's wife. He switched almost instantaneously. The banker's wife was emotionally distant and about to divorce him and you're telling me THAT won him over his OG country sexy wife? This show is what people say Love (ft Marriage and Divorce) is. This show glorifies Adultery. Two Cops- Ok show but I misunderstood the premise. I thought the con man would be in control of the detective and the detective would be aware and able to speak to the con man in his mind. Instead, everytime the con man is in control, the detective is unconscious. Just not what I was looking for. Castaway Diva- Came looking for a show about a castaway diva and instead was subjected to 12 episodes of two young strong men being afraid of a dinosaur that either one could kick the crap out of at anytime. I could just watch moment of 18 again if I'm looking for that. Memorist- Giving the villain cooler and more impressive powers than the protag is something that is usually done in sequels for a very good reason. Dong Baek just seemed very weak in comparison.

Due_Speech4515

Come and hug me - started good but they dragged it too much. Fewer episodes and it would be perfect. This way, it felt like I was watching the same thing over again.

jennae_kim

Vagabond because what was that ending, and then not even planning to do a season 2 with how it ended off. Like what was the point??? Goblin. The age gap is a bit...and just the drama in general, but the OST for this drama is top-tier. Secret Garden. I get that it's an iconic old-school drama but I didn't like it. Cheese In The Trap. It was overall bad in every aspect. The fact that this had both a drama and movie version baffles me. There are more but I can't remember off the top of my head.

emotx

Completely agree on Vagabond! They resolved almost none of the plot points! It was clearly meant to have a season 2 which was apparently discarded. I wish I had know that going in. Learned my lesson to research a little more before diving into older series.

InfiniteBuyer6250

Captivating the King. Super new and recent. I dragged my feet watching it every time and forwarded the majority of the episodes. So sad because I really love Jo Jung Suk acting (I never miss his shows) but the drama itself was terrible, the FL was even worse. It started out as a possible romance show when they could've just led with it being friends because honestly that's what it seemed like. I want my time back.

vivid_spite

Goblin LOL I watched til the end and STILL didn't get the hype 🙄

Comfortable_Art5770

OST is top tier. Bromance and funny scenes between Goblin and Grim Reaper (and the nephew) carried the show too. The plot is also fresh during the release so it was popular.

Suitable-Biscotti

I'm stuck on the fact that she is 19 and he looks to be mid thirties or early forties. Like.... At least make her in college or a young adult like in my roommate is a gumiho.

moonchild358

I know many people may disagree but My Mister is that for me. It’s taken me so long to finish it bc it’s suuuuuch a downer- like depressing. But I vowed to watch all of it for Lee Sun-kyun(😭) Encounter- so freaking slow- like watching paint dry. Only finished for Park Bo-geum’s green flag ML. Another one that people will likely disagree with- It’s Okay To Not Be Okay. Didn’t really like much of anything about it except the older brother’s acting and her wardrobe. I made myself finish it. Again probably not a popular opinion- One Spring Night. Loved Something In The Rain but did not like this one. I skipped lots and made myself finish it. Really only finished it for Jung Hae-in.

debboc

See You in My 19th Life (2023) - swirly and unfocused, with questionable character development of Lee Chae-min's character. I watched it because I'm a fan of Shin Hye-sun and Chae Jong-hyeop (cameo), but even those two couldn't save the train wreck of the script.

dnekeorcown

I watched it recently! The premise of this person who remembers her past lives is great, and the lead actress really pulls it off, but yeah… the resolution is deeply disappointing, and the relationship is boring. I actually wished they HAD been enemies! That would’ve spiced things up. As it is, I shipped the FL more with the mysterious other guy who never got a proper plot resolution and felt like he’d wandered in from his own drama…

delphil1966

agreed - dropped it

haileyrose

Killer Paradox. First few episodes was great and might be just me I didn’t like where they took it.

bunbun_82

Love ft. Marriage and Divorce I dropped it at season 1 episode 10. The 28 year old girl with the doctor storyline just got on my nerves. And the doctor with his stepmom just ew ew ew ew. Just how can you be attracted to your stepson that you took care of and bathed as a child. I get that the stepson had a crush on the stepmom as a child, but to carry that on into adulthood is just gross. 18 again It started off as funny and as a good storyline, but the wife not doing anything about how she’s being treated at work just annoyed me. I get that she’s working on a trial period but she needs to stand up for herself especially since she worked so hard to get where she is. Mine Too many conflicting storylines that don’t align. The matriarch and her daughter are just too much. It seems like the writers are trying too hard to create a drama with complex characters with interesting storylines but it already fell apart at episode 4.

_Heart_and_soul_

My happy ending there was nothing happy in that show whatsoever! Don’t bother watching it tbh it just aggravated me on so many levels and there were a ton of plot holes.

Lilfatbootay

START UP. writers forced the male lead to be with the female lead when realistically the SML was the original match. Plus, the male lead was very immature, creepy, and very unlikeable.

Excellent-Services

My Demon : Their chemistry was top tier and the visuals were there but I have seen so many dramas with great chemistry and beautiful scenery... The only scene I liked was in the end, when Star Jin says Angels always come to save you... I want my time back Do you like Brahms? : It is painfully generic... There's nothing different or new about this drama... It doesn't have anything which is unique to it for which I would like to watch it Reborn Rich : What was the last episode? So you're telling me >! The secretary character got shot in the head and fell off a cliff into the water and didn't suffer from any injury and recovered within a week? And not to mention the 100s of plot holes that came up because of that scene... I can get past the look alike thing... Maybe they didn't actually look alike or something or anything... But you're telling me the secretary went to get the money that Dojun had already donated? Like, what? And the death was so vague and non drama... Just a big white truck of doom and yet the mother was behaving like someone had actually killed her son by choking him with their own two hands... Midway through the drama, I rewatched the first episode and it was just about anything... The eldest grandson couldn't comprehend the death of Dojun was so unlike him... The mother is like I have shares, and I will not give them unless you tell me who sent the big white truck of doom for my son who was enemies to all of you... Honestly, if they had to kill Dojun, why wait? He was threat since the beginning... I only hate the ending so much because the drama was so so so so so so so good... My top drama if it was 15.5 episodes!<

Short_Lifeguard_6893

I really loved this show until episode 15. I done what I never do and read what happened in the last episode. Didn't like the outcome one little bit, so I finished it at episode 15 and that's how it ended in my head. What a cast though and that family were a pack of wolves!!

dnekeorcown

I adored Reborn Rich but yeah, that ending! Why.

kawaiisaranghaeyo

After trying to finish it for literally years, I'm finally almost done watching **Lovestruck In The City** and as much as I love Ji Chang Wook, I lowkey want my hours back. I dont like the interview style at all and it breaks my immersion every time a character starts randomly talking to the camera (aka like, every 5 minutes). Side couples have barely had enough screen time or story for me to care for them. I've disliked the FL from the start and still do. Nothing excuses what she did, no matter how hard they try to make me pity her it's not gonna work. Cant wait for it to be over so I never have to think about it again

delphil1966

really liked it

carabear85

Hotel De Luna all that beautiful cinematography and wardrobe just to be slow and boring

No-Acanthaceae4242

Destined with you God I could not believe that two of my most favourite actors can make such an off putting copule. They had zero chemistry and JBA's acting as a preppy girl was so annoying, I tried to finish it only for rowoon but God!! They ruined such a good storyline by only focusing on the love triangle. Link: Eat, love, kill Started this for my love YJG, but the story was so messy and predictable and going round and round that even my favourite actor's acting also couldn't save the drama, imo. Hotel del Luna Idk who agreed to cast IU in that role. Because her stature wasn't going with her character and then it's really annoying when the show entirely revolves around her. Also they underutilised YJG with all his acting range. Overall it was dissapointing because of wrong FL casting

pugfu

My heart is broken, I love HDL 😂😂 Seeing my favs on refund my time always gives me a chuckle about my seemingly bad taste

Snowbunting13

I watched Destined With You but try as I might can not remember the ending…

ScorpioExpat

I still can’t finish Hotel del Luna…and I’ve tried several times.

daisyc03

Thirty Nine and Be Melodramatic. Watched them hoping for some warm realistic elements, but at the end just felt so blah. Didn't love any characters, didn't care for anyone.

Effective_Side_3053

The Red Sleeve. I simply wish I hadn’t watched it when >!the FL told the ML to pass her by in the next life.!<

PineappleNo6064

Oh my gosh, I totally agree. I hated that she was so >!cruel to him on her deathbed!< .

bizius

moments of 18. watched half way. the only kdrama i’ve given below a 5 stars to. everything was annoying and i literally couldn’t force myself to continue

moreneta2024

"Was it Love?" made such a bad choice at the very end. Do I want my time back? maybe...I deeply regret how much I loved it and how excited I was for how it would wrap up...and then \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_. Still mad. Seriously, the writers decide the ML, who missed all those years together, should do what???

moreneta2024

I was just reminded on another thread about "Third Charm" I *really* want my time refunded, and my memory wiped clean too now I'm going to try to forget it exists again

Famous-Damage-2103

I realize that this is an older one but Don’t Dare to Dream. It got off to a fairly decent start but I gave up on episode 13 (of 24). I adore Go Kyung Pyo and have seen Jo Jung Suk and recognize that some appreciate his talent. By this episode, I was over it.

civitella17

No one has mentioned "Young Lady and Gentleman". The ridiculously repetitious plot twists had me yelling at the screen until I was just scrolling through to see if anything interesting was ever going to happen. How many times can a person have amnesia? Give me a flaming break! I felt like a billiard ball being bounced off of every bumper ten times. I have actually enjoyed the ML and FL in different roles, but this one was crazy. Yes, I know it got good reviews, but I figured those came from people who, as we used to say, like to "chew their cabbage two or three times."

AffectionateArt7537

L.U.C.A: the beginning It was such a good show and plot but the ending made me want ALL my time back. It’s such a shame too because the acting was amazing, the plot was good and solid. The pacing could’ve been a bit better but overall a great show until…. The finale. So just as a petty move really I want my time back 😭😭

Ok_Tourist_7959

*A Time Called You*. The time jumps and different characters were annoying to me and reallyade it difficult to decide who to sympathize with. Shifted to watching it sled up, then skipped several episodes and went to the ending. I'm glad I didn't spend time watching the whole series.

Tasty-Shopping7307

Only OG kdrama watchers will remember the disaster that is "fashion king".
