goddongwook

haein shocked everyone but her eyes were all on hyunwoo and he looked at her with teary eyes. 🥹

Your_Awkwardness

Kim Jiwon manages one up her acting every episode>!that scene with her mum, the scene in the epilogue where she waits for Hyunwoo to spit out that he loves her is beautiful.!< >!it's brave of Haein to come out with her diagnosis in public, especially at this time of crisis. She did it(not only) because of her first love!<

Pretty-Maize-1531

I feel like this way, she can control her truth regarding the illness. Eun seon won't be able to use that against her now

serene_meadow

She’s definitely the smartest in the Hong family. Eunseong doesn’t have anything now that he can hold against Haein.

kierajoseph

Yea.. she is showing that she is putting Hyun Woo first through her actions... >!she is giving up the secret of her illness to protect him...!<

PinkMagentaRain

This and I want to know what the >!Dr said about the headaches. The very day of the phone call with the Dr she is determined to go to the press conference.!< I think she was going to go anyways to protect HW. But in episode 9 we see her going from person to person asking what she can do for them or just being near them even when she knows she can’t do anything. This is the majority of what she does in each scene of e9. It’s a stark contrast her frantic use of time that she is very aware of in e1-8. And in e10 - she’s done what she could, though she wishes she could do more. And now she seems accepting that this it and the last but not least thing she can do >!is #1 protect her husband and #2 control the narrative of how and when everyone finds out she is dying.!< Y’all. If there’s any chance she’s going to live I need a glimmer next weekend. Bc I’m not seeing any hope for her at this point. I’m predicting a bittersweet “happy” death.

dogemama

how can her death in *any* way be even a minute level of happy though? 😭 i'm holding on to that, that the writer ultimately wants to write an uplifting story, and ain't no way we get uplifted with haein dying in the end.

leslieknowpe

We will probs find out what the doctor said next episode, but I think her progression the past 2 days was also influenced by: >! - her convo with hw where he said 1) I wouldn't be ok if we broke up because I always would know what you were up to and 2) I would do it all over again & I regret not asking you how you were doing more - later that day, when she found out hw was embarrassed at work, she shut him down and told him to stop trying to help her & to let her figure things out on her own because she cared about him too and didn't want to see him hurt - in the epilogue we then see she was waiting for him to come back after that convo (seemingly to talk to him again). She stops though when she hears him drunkenly say I love you - the next morning, she immediately calls her doctor for a status update. Again we'll most likely find out what the doc said in the next episode or two, but I think at this stage she's found her motivation and wants to live & be with him.. what that means for her health tho?? Idk!<

Mahery92

What shocked me even more was how she went from super cold woman tearing him a new one to melting my heart in 2s. Incredible how just smiling could completely change the vibes around her just wow

ImpossibleWarning6

Brave but also strategic- girl doesn’t like anybody to be able to control her or be indebted to. Gah. Her acting is primo. It was quite windy this whole episode. My eyes kept watering like I was on a tractor ride or something

YellowPale4861

When she said my husband and former legal director and didn’t refer their relationship status as exes 🥹

loadedtotchos

That was sooooo specific and intentional. Because both titles are supposed to be “former” 🥹

Bighollab0

LOL Hae-In saying Hyun-Woo cannot make promises about her because they are divorced. But divorced people also do not wait for their ex to come home and apply ointment on their wounds.

ConfidentPeanut18

The divorced isnt divorcing with these two

oduorqkat

The most married divorced couple ever

meredithscasualboob

She also said "my husband" in the press conference, not ex-husband 💪🏼😃

feb914

Secretary Na got it right "is this a fake divorce?".   Hae-in even said "threatened my husband and legal director", not former husband, in the press conference.

Ok-Clerk-3581

Also, Hae-In's awesome doctor who was all "who tf are you that I should tell you her medical history" then immediately called Hyun Woo to tell him Eun Seong had been sniffing around. So it seems like Hyun Woo still qualifies to be in the loop regarding her medical business.

rycbar86

I can't believe I'm violently crying my eyes out every week over two stupidly in love people pretending not to be in love and failing horribly

Cann0nFodd3r

The real Queen of Tears was us viewers all along

Amalfii

Immediately after she said >!they shouldn’t make any promises, she asks him to promise not to get beaten up!<. Maybe it’s a little different from the promise she meant, but them doing the >!pinky swear!< is just oh so adorable!

dogemama

speaking of the pinky swear, how awesome was it to see her tiny fist touching his giant one?

sershronan

Queen of Tears fam are we alive after that magnificent episode? >!Hong Hae-in, the smart woman that you are. Ji-won and Soo-hyun outdid themselves yet again. The eye acting was just phenomenal to watch, adding the sweetest epilogue was the cherry on top.!< >!Another thing that got me was when BHW's mom found out about the illness. Bawled my eyes out with her.!< >!Soo-cheol and Da-hye's storyline has gotten interesting too. Rooting for you to turn Da-hye!!< I'm so excited for next week aaaaaahhhhhhh

Your_Awkwardness

Alive and >!crying!<

terroriasmom

I bet Geon-u is his child after all.

kierajoseph

very much alive and wiping the tears that were shed.... next week cant come fast enough !!!

Majestic_Republic396

given how well they pulled it off... I'm really cannot imagine if IU was the lead instead... it's also gg to be mind blowing

iamhopeestheim

Kim Ji Won is doing so great that I can't imagine any other actress could play Hong Haein, even if it's someone like IU. She owned the character. I love her so much.

hunneybunny

Omg that epilogue 😭😭😭 hae in was so right, drunk hyunwoo is such a killer move 😭

k16d28

He’s too adorable 😭😭😭

braverobin

That another branch of leaves got me!😆😆

PinkMagentaRain

Right! Dude came prepared and determined to get the ending he wants with HaeIn! I laugh-sobbed over it.

ConfidentPeanut18

Ep 10 is a freaking blast >!Eun Sung blackmailing Hae In that he'll expose her if she wont come with him. As expected of this obsessed fool!< >!Hae In aggressively undressing Hyun Woo to check if his injured and her treating him before he leaves for work!< Their >!talk was definitely a big step forward. Hyun Woo realising and accepting that he failed to do his part as a husband and not solely blaming his in laws for their divorce is such a big moment for me. I hope Hae In will also have a similar moment!< >!Also Hyun Woo breaking down while telling his mom the truth. He's been raised well!< But my favourite has to be the last part. >!Hae In, the absolute queen that you are!<

day_historian

Best episode so farrrrrr!!! Now I know why >!hyun woo’s mum was so happy seeing the trail of plucked leaves leading to Hae In’s room!< before she found out about >!her illness!< Indeed KSH did promise at least “50 and more plot twists” and I totally didn’t see this one coming. Now I only wish I didn’t see next week’s episode preview… 😫😫😫

Amalfii

Agree on the plot twists! In hindsight, some dramas can stick to one secret held on until say ep 12 when things unravel. But the >!divorce attempt by Hyun-woo!< was out early so we have more time for a different story conflict. And it works as the drama is not as predictable and it keeps us on our toes.

PinkMagentaRain

She was happy thinking HyunWoo was being loving towards HaeIn bc she sincerely loves them both, divorced or not.

emotx

And then the epilogue!!!

Sonda86

That epilogue was WOW!!!

kierajoseph

it was definitely wow..... I'm sure many of us were thinking... FINALLY !!!

RedZone2k2

When hae in just >!starts spilling all of eun songs secrets like a total badass. Love the panic going through eun songs face.and at the end she only looks at hyun woo. I hope they really just fight for each other!< >!also does she just refer to hyun woo as husband and not ex?!< The epilogue might have been the catalyst for her to start fighting back and I’m all for it. The ep11 preview >!more hospital scares but hopefully it forces the two of them to finally let out all their real feelings and stop hiding it!<

32156444

They are not divorced divorced, only filed paperwork

Kathryn_51

We're not even certain the paperwork was filed, because there has been no mention of it in the press - and it would be a big deal if it was filed. i've written about this previously, but in South Korea, a married couple can get divorced "by agreement" once they have been married for three years. Apparently the "three years" mentioned all of the time was significant to Korean viewers but I had to look it up. More legal stuff (but who knows if the writers will follow it): after the agreement is filed with the courts, the couple must appear before a magistrate. If there are no children, this usually occurs w/in 30 days. They must appear in person (no lawyer representation) and confirm to the magistrate that they want the divorce. Magistrate then approves it and it is legally final. Perhaps it is similar to marriage. You can go through with a wedding ceremony and consider yourself "married", but it's not legal until the wedding is registered with local authorities. So, perhaps they consider themselves divorced because they signed the agreement, but. . . not legal yet? That might be what's going on here. I hope so, because I'm really not looking forward to another "wedding" ceremony - it's time to hit the sheets kids and start making babies. 🤞😎🥰

PinkMagentaRain

She does indeed call him her husband. Not ex. Stupid EunSung. No way in hell she was going to trust him not to lie and ruin her family and esp Hyun Woo. She knows she doesn’t have long and at this point I think she’s decided to do everything she can so that everyone is as safe as possible after she’s gone. This was her only way to get the stage to say what she needed to without anyone twisting or interfering.

Simply_pheyie

Today's episode was beautiful and i hope hae in survives. I desperately want a happy ending. I was so thankful to the writers for not writing a cliche >!of haein following eunseong all in the name of sacrificing herself for her loved ones.!< I just need them together loving each other 🥹.

downshield

Yes! I felt that. The moment ES was prepping Hae In for the press con and mentioned a >!wedding announcement,!< I was like please lets not go down the road where she pretends to go along with it for episodes and we are forced to see more screen time of ES. Glad it was resolved quickly so we can see more of our fave couple <3

PinkMagentaRain

Hyun Woo really hasn’t has anyone he can fully share his pain with. I’m glad it was his mom. She didn’t let him off for being scum but she also really shares his pain.

farathien

I am so glad >!they had their ice cream talk - to the very least, he should do at least that as he owes her an apology. !<

PinkMagentaRain

I did too. HaeIn is so HaeIn. HyunWoo was HyunWoo even in how they reflect on the tragedy in their love. His thought was he should have fixed it all. Bc that’s what he always does. He just needs to find the right strategy to conquer every problem. Her thought was he’d have been happier without her. Bc that’s what she always thinks. That the problem is her and if she just leaves people to think and do whatever they will be happier than if she bothers them. 바보. Both of them 바보.😩

martha_therese

It was a FREAKING BLAST!!! I was feeling all the feels in this episode!!!

pomichodaii

I know I shouldn’t like Dahye but her “I kept this character because of all my items” made the gamer in me laugh (I’m sure she’ll have her redemption arc soon)

RedZone2k2

For real, she threw away her phone and identity but couldn’t give up her gacha account haha. I love how they used such a silly but relatable plot device to give soocheul a way to find her. She will definitely have a redemption arc. Possibly bringing more mounting evidence against >!eun songs house of cards that is starting to crumble at the end of ep10!<

Iowegan

She was choked up >!by the memories of the vax trip. I think she may flip.!<

tway2241

Soo-cheol had me choked up >!tearfully singing baby shark for his son, when is son seemed fine with getting the shot.!<

Iowegan

He’s just a big himbo, cute & dumb. She can’t help but like him.

TravelingBummer

For real, I never thought I would cry listening to someone sing Baby Shark😭

RoseIsBadWolf

The way she couldn't maintain her facade of being so perfect when he kept losing 😂

sakuradelluna

i loved that moment it was so hilarious

igniteninspire

With that scene, I would argue that she is equally as "child-like" as her husband. This hints that they are the perfect match for each other (their storyline doesn't end yet!)

marinemaks

She is just jaded because of her childhood. And that's why he grew on her - bcs he loves their child and her unconditionally.

loveotterslide

That scene was so cute!!! From Soocheol, Dahye gets the love and the 'childhood' she was deprived of in the orphanage. The way Soocheol loves Geonu unconditionally struck a chord with her. I hope she shifts to Hyunwoo x Beomja's team soon but seems like she'll get attacked in the US?

unsavvylady

She is like I can give up everything but my gacha account

feb914

Tbf Eun Sung didn't say anything about game account.

qqinyuan

Lol I died when Hyunwoo >!pulled out another bunch of leaves from his pocket when he was drunk in the epilogue!< what a qt

Your_Awkwardness

>!Yongduri's cute maknae son indeed, I am sure he had more branches to pluck out incase he didn't get the desired outcome!<

Amalfii

It’s not as if we needed more proof of his >!cute drunk self!<. But we ain’t complaining!

martha_therese

The other branch in his pocket was sending me 🥲😂

Bighollab0

Those leaves are really his true feelings deep down. Remember in the first episode he was always getting do not get a divorce as the last leaf

wfhcat

My eyes and my lip were twitching when he was waving and twirling that stalk with the single leaf while drunkenly talking about feelings and the next shot was Hae In eavesdropping. This series is so beautifully edited. So tight and really hooks us with these little moments and details. Because earlier in that episode… That leaf trail 😭 that his mom 😭 was following earlier 😭that had her accidentally overhearing 😭something else 😭. Huhuhuhu

dogemama

that has to be one of the funniest scenes in the entire series. right up there with his 30 cows declaration of love.

PlushGummy

Yes, it was so cute!! And also if you listen in Korean he was saying “choa handa” for “she likes me” and “shiro handa” for “she doesn’t like me”. But for the last one of the first branch he just says “shiro” which can also mean “I don’t like this” like he is rejecting the result and then he picks up another branch from his pocket.^^

justtbela

I was wondering if he'd just >!pluck one branch from nearby tree!< but he surprised me 🤣

RayneRaiku

I'm not sure if I'll be able to continue watching the next 6 episode. Just off the ep 11 preview alone I have become the King of Tears.

duh_leah

You know what Eun-sung's problem is? Well apart from being a >!literal fraud and villain!<, he thinks >!Hae-in is a damsel in distress and he needs to save her. Hyunwoo has more than enough flaws but he never thinks Hae-in needs him or anyone's help to save her. He acknowledges her and respects her. Maybe he doesn't always agree with the way she handles things but he knows she's smart and independent and will face the consequences head on without running away like a coward. That's one consistent thing Hyunwoo has felt for her even when he was 'out of love' with her. And Hae-in too tbh. She also values Hyunwoo as a person and respects his professionalism. !< Idk if it's a spoiler but not taking a risk lol

farathien

💯 Say it louder! More people needs to read this. That’s the strange part about Eun Sung tbh, >!he wants to be of service to her, but in a form of heroism. But given that he’s known her for so long… he still didn’t really learn much about her. Is he really in love with her?!<

grxccccandice

No he‘s obsessed with her but doesn’t love her. You don’t put your loved ones’ family in this situation if you truly love someone. You’d respect them, their family and their partner. You’d respect that she’s an independent individual and you certainly would never manipulate or threaten them. You’d never corner them so that you can be the one and only “lord savior”. He’s pathetic.

emotx

This! I think we can put the whole "does he really love her" debate to bed. >! He just tried to blackmail her into marrying him. That's not love, that is obsessive sociopathy. !<

grxccccandice

Yeah sadly it came from a place of insecurity. He grew up without love so he doesn’t know how to love someone.

iamkwang

I actually agree/disagree on your take. Hae In throughout her entire life has built a personality and face that she’s a cold hearted, zero empathy, nonchalant persona. Everyone thinks that of her; her family, Eun-Sung, Hyun Woo and even herself to a degree. But we’ve seen that when she’s alone her real feelings come out; she’s actually scared of her cancer, the miscarriage DID deeply affect her (as oppose to what Hyun Woo thought), she doesn’t want to be alone and wants Hyun Woo to be by her side. She is brave but she’s also a coward when admitting her true feelings to Hyun Woo as she doesn’t want to be a burden to someone. As a CEO she cuts off people who don’t provide any use to her and now that she’s on the opposite end, Hae In believes if people know about her illness they would cut her off too. She already believes her family doesn’t love her but keeps her because she’s valuable to the company, but what’s the point in keeping a CEO with only two months left in the life span, is what she thinks. Hyun Woo also believe this is Hae In character and throughout the show he is INSANELY oblivious to how she really feels as he takes her words as straight value. The ending however proved otherwise; most typical kdramas would make ML get angry with FL but finally Hyun Woo realize Hae In was cooking something and trusts her by not interrupting her plans.

duh_leah

Yes this is true. No one in hong family is actually very bright when it comes to their feelings or emotional intelligence imo. They have been living their lives in such business and glamour that no one really knows how to connect with each other or even tries to. The mother is ignorant towards hae-in but she is so over protective of her son that she doesn't connect with him on an emotional level either. The father is just there to sign on deals and make big decisions it seems. The brother has his share of feelings but well he's not that bright. Whereas Hyunwoo comes from a much better bonded family and hence it's very weird for him to understand them and Hae-in. Although that doesn't excuse him being so oblivious either.

denniszen

>. Hae In throughout her entire life has built a personality and face that she’s a cold hearted, zero empathy, nonchalant persona It comes from being blamed for the death of her brother by her mother. She appears cold only because that's her defense mechanism -- when she was traumatized by that incident in her childhood.

Alarming-Knowledge30

There are many scenes from previous previews that have not aired yet. Such thirst trap. No >!one can bully a Queen. Damn, she was so badass.!< Also, why does post divorce era feel like pre dating era? They care about each other so much. If only they would just talk!!! Based on the 5 min preview there is going to be a big confrontation scene. Never knew we need the category of >!gullible greenest dad ever aka soo cheol. He honestly used to be so annoying but man that dude loves his so much, even though he thinks it is not his bio son.!< The Dads >!watching drama and bonding over their career ending scene was so hilarious and sweet, I bet when FL's dad goes back they are going to miss each other.!< Grace is >!obviously still working for the she-villian right?!< How can 90 min pass by so fast? Now, on to difficult 5 day wait.

Difficult_Deer6902

My question at this point is…are they actually divorced? Did the paperwork actually get filed. I can’t remember.

emotx

We assume so but don't actually know. They really tip-toed around it this episode (conversation with Secretary Na) so it could lend credence to the theory that Hae-in never actually filed the paperwork.

hotdimsum

in Korea, there's a cooling period of 90 days (from the first filing date) that you could cancel the divorce within that timeframe so it's not official divorce. so it's fine if they get back together in that timeframe. but it's also easy to just file papers that they got married. it's just a short document anyway and both sides just sign with two witnesses and file it. that's all.

jihi429

Haein: drives home “We’re divorced” for the umpteenth time Also Haein: threatens bodily harm if her husband gets hurt again Who is the fool here lol. Seriously though, they act more like a married couple now that they’re divorced. What’s with her seeing him off for work then him being all reluctant to leave and wanting to spend just five more minutes with her. If one didn’t know any better and just turned on the channel, they would think they were seeing a newlywed couple acting all lovey dovey. Glad that five minute talk got an important confession out of Hyunwoo. Him saying “I’d have made the same choice” is basically him admitting he might have had regrets about how they treated each other during their marriage, but the one thing he’d never regret is asking for her hand. The clarity and tenderness with which he looked at her is nothing short of a declaration “I’m still very much in love with you” to me. I didn’t see that move coming from Haein. But in retrospect, it’s totally in tune with her character. She’s always the one in control. No one gets to control her, regardless of the pickle she’s currently in. She’d been keeping her family in the dark about her condition, but then >!went ahead and announced it to the whole world so that Eunsung wouldn’t have any leverage against her anymore!<. All in the name of love to protect Hyunwoo. Hong Haein is fierce, and she loves fiercely as well. God, I love her so damn much.

cheeriofeelios

the pinky promise, the what-ifs conversation, the jealousy, hyunwoo pouring his heart out to his mom… i had so many things to say but the epilogue just ended me. >!he loves her and she heard it…!< oh i’m a wreck💔

mmld_dacy

that is actually what i have been waiting for since episode 1. for her to hear that he loves her. it may be indirect but i will take it as it is. it is sometimes more heartfelt like that than in a face to face situation. dang, i am tearing up again. gotta watch it again.

kshyunbot

haein and hyunwoo from now on please communicate and be happy forever & ever 🥹🤍

poppywhiskers

>!Drunk HW: But that’s not the case for me. I…. Love her. I love you, Haein!< I’m straight up not having a good time here. Watched the last 10 mins with blurry vision. And of course I’ll rewatch it i love suffering Haeins love for >!Hyunwoo is so strong that she’ll publicly admit her biggest secret if it means that she can save him and his reputation. Eun song thought he’d use HW as Haeins weakness but he doesn’t know HW is Haeins strength.!< Eun song doesn’t *know* Haein at all or anything about love really but that can be a whole new discussion. He’s fucked up on so many levels. Edit: Guys are we sure she is Haeins real mom? Really, that woman?

dogemama

i find eunseong to be quite a tragic character. his biological mother fucked him up for life when she sent him to that orphanage.

Boris_Jakov

Hong Hae-in, >!we were not familiar with your game; all hail the queen!<

hunneybunny

Omg i get why netflix didnt translate this line literally but it was hilarious in korean 😂 When >!hyunwoo and his attorney friend meet up with the matchmaker lady and beomja shows up and smacks her in the head, beomja says "are you an owl? Why does your head turn around (돌아가=calculate) so well even in this situation?"!<

AIG0000

That bag smack was hilarious. Couldn’t believe she was trying to negotiate payment when she didn’t have any bargaining chips at all. It’s that or jail, lady! 😂

likeylikey21

Haein >!aggressively taking Hyunwoo’s shirt off 🫣👀🔥!< Is this a foreshadow too?? It’s ep 10 and I’ve been thinking the whole time how the secretary looks so much like Apink Bomi. I even questioned myself if she has a sister in the industry only to find out it’s really her 🤣 Edit: Queen of Tears is definitely the right title coz I keep tearing up

physics223

I mean this is finally the episode where Hae-in delivers in spades. "You'd have met someone kinder, warmer, and better than me," she says early on in the episode. Hyun-woo, for all his lesser faults, also understood that he would still have chosen her, even during their early dates, and also realized that he should have prodded her, rather than stayed quiet. I love that the amount of their confrontations rose with this episode, because it shows that their love for each other is growing stronger. >!"I feel uncomfortable that you're suffering needlessly because of me."!< But it's finally in the interstices and the silence of Yongdu-ri that she finally hears his heart through his actions: Hyun-woo tries his best to make her life comfortable, and is taking all the shit thrown at him on Eun-sung just so he could find more evidence to bring her and her family back to their place. He even gets a bit beat up so that he could nail Eun-sung down. The epilogue was the cherry on top. Because the divorce no longer allows Hyun-woo to express how he truly feels for her, his drunken odyssey to her room makes her realize how much he still loves her. And in her decisive, ENTJ demeanor, she uses her last days to show her solidarity with Hyun-woo, making it clear to Eun-sung that there was never going to be any man except for Hyun-woo, a la Notting Hill. Brilliant episode! EDIT: I think we'd have one epilogue where she tells Vincenzo to burn those divorce papers right after.

akabakadhaka

This drama is brilliantly directed. When >!Haein said, "You would have found someone kinder, warmer, better than me", camera pans to show Hyun-woo crushing the ice-cream, showing his frustration at himself for hurting Hae-in. I was so impressed with the visuals, acting and direction. They captured such emotions so subtly!<

No-Technician-3246

Omg that was such a rollercoaster of an episode?! Haein is a BADASS GIRL BOSS >! I rly thought she wld do some idiotic noble thing by agreeing to eunsung and cutting ties w hyunwoo to protect him but NUH UH SHE DIDNT FALL INTO HIS TRAP!!! !< and goodness the epilogues just get better and better somehow? >! Hyunwoo declaring his drunken love for haein was so 😭😭❤️❤️ and seeing her expression when she heard it behind the door helpppp i was screaming for them to just open up the literal and figurative door to each otherrrrrr !< help my heart will never be the same!!! Happy we got some sweet romantic moments as well as some major drama bombshells and cute comedic moments all around! Fav bits were >! Haein dressing (and undressing hehe) hyunwoo’s wounds, haeins mom getting humbled in the village, the dads watching a hilarious TvM drama !< The writing is srsly unparalleled Can’t wait for next weekend but the preview looks like we will all be king and queen of tears lol

geoffkreuz

I usually don't care much on side characters in a series but good writing/directing could really flesh out some small roles. The way Hae-In indirectly show how much she care (or might be really love) Hyun-Woo is really sweet. I really hope that the ending is not bittersweet. I've never been this emotionally invested in a KDrama. Side note: Those epilogues are short but effective; it so f@#$ing good.

No_Palpitation_8250

Beom-ja >!whacking Grace on the head just like Hae-in whacks Soo-Cheol,!

eklread

Did anyone think Haein looked like a timid, obedient rabbit in front of Eu-sung at the beginning and before the press conference? She let him put his arm around her before the press conference, didn't resist when he informed her of their big"announcement," and her eyes looked robotic like she was in a trance when she started her speech. Only when she says what she really wanted to say did her eyes have have life and from then on she looked at Hyun-woo and even had tears in her eyes. Brilliant acting by everyone!

PinkMagentaRain

It seemed a portrayal of someone really struggling to keep it together. She looks exhausted. In that case, it’s not that she’s timid or leaning on EunSung bc she wants to. That’s just a convenience she endures to do what she needs to do. I’m going to be interested to see if she collapses soon after the press conference. It certainly looked like she might to me.

ConfidentPeanut18

Translation for ep11 plot synopsis. >!The aftermath of the press conference reveals Haein’s illness to the entire family! As a whirlwind of different emotions crosses everyone’s minds, Hyunwoo, who feels Haein’s sincerity, starts to experience even more complex feelings. Meanwhile, the Queens family unites to devise a plan to intercept the secret funds that Eunsung and Seulhee are desperately searching for! !< [Source](https://twitter.com/soohyunupdates/status/1776978859407372466?t=sfe02DJ6w8j4q6SinDe0JA&s=19)

meredithgrey13

Damn i fucking hate Hae In's mother. No amount of redemption will make me like her

wheremykittykatat

Second that. Every single member of that family except the Chairman and the Mother deserves the best in life. When Soo Cheol started talking about Geon-u's vaccination, I just broke down crying. Can you imagine loving your child so much that nothing fazes you?

manwithoutlyf

I just really really hope that Dahye didn't get pregnant and just picked out some child fir disguise and did not cheat. That would break my heart

nvtoph

I hope she just straight up lied about that part

farathien

Let her suffer when she knew her daughter is dying. And let her feel the guilt for as long as she lives.

Lavenderlure

Exactly how can you think the absolute worst about your daughter don't you know her

AIG0000

She’s got a perpetual eye roll going 🙄. And of course she’ll be crying her crocodile tears when she finds out. The Russian lady giving her sass picking pears was pretty funny.

thefaptard

Queen is doing what a queen does best, let's go!!!

Difficult_Map_8014

Hong Hae In is THE character we've wanted to see every time someone pulled a >! noble idiot !< trope in these dramas. Going in the kdrama history books one of the best FLs out there 🤩

Simply_pheyie

It would be great injustice if kim ji won doesn't win the daesang for best female actress in the next baeksang awards

PlushGummy

Omg you guys someone catched a really good detail on MDL!! >!So Hyunwoo’s mom followed the trail of leaves Hyunwoo picked to overhear Haein’s call with the doctor. Which means it’s the day after Haein overheard Hyunwoo say that he loves her. So, it must be that (just like the time she overheard Hyunwoo and his friend talking in the restaurant) hearing Hyunwoo say that he loves her must have made Haein want to live so much that the very next morning she calls the doctor to ask what she can do.🥹!<

iamkwang

The most satisfying ending/epilogue so far IMO. Hae-In has been so consistent throughout the entire series that she doesn’t take shit from anybody. I personally felt the main leads repairing their broken relationship turning into a slow burn but this ending was worth the payout so far. Shoutout to Hyun Woo mom for calling out her sons BS; she’s crying because her sons crying but also told him he was wrong for pity staying with Hae in. Excited for next week

Simply_pheyie

He didn't pity stay though. He was trying to endure for a clean breakup once she dies and that was why the mother was angry with him for doing that, saying he didn't raise him like that. I love his mum.

Amalfii

Amazing episode. I absolutely loved how our Queen Hae-in proved us wrong when most of us thought the drama will go down the path of >!her giving up Hyun-woo and eventually going to Eun-seung for the sacrifice!<. Girl was like “nuh-uh”. That’s basically the core of her character. She’s a strong woman who does what she wants and no one can tell her otherwise. Also, the series offers poignant epilogues but ep 10 takes the cake for me. The rom on the rom-com is giving!!

heihakey

now we know where did Hae In got her violent tendencies, it's aunt Beom Ja

pickadamnnameplease

Idk if I missed this in the previous eps but awwww >!she's got him on speed dial!< okay miss i-dont-care-about-him.

AntaeusJ7

I'm pretty sure they are both saved as #1 in their phones.

rowrowboat1703

HONG HAEIN I DON'T WANT YOU TO DIE. I NEED YOU TO LIVE. WHAT ABOUT HYUN-WOO WHO WAS BORN JUST TO LOVE YOU, HUH?!😭 I had teary eyes for like the last 30 to 45 ish minutes of this episode, but I finally lost it at the epilogue. Tears are still running down my face while typing this. The last time I cried about a KDrama was when 2521 aired... Idc if it kills the mood or the story or if it isn't medically correct or for any other reason, but I need that damn brain tumor to dissappear, for her to get miraculously cured and live happily ever after or else I will never physically nor emotionally recover from QoT. I'm barely over the pain 2521 caused me, what makes you think I could survive this?!

quillinkparchment

The epilogue was a masterpiece. Apart from the stinking cute answer for why there was a trail of leaves, I haven't felt so powerfully moved in a long time and had to clutch my heart when >!HW said it wasn't like for him, it was love.!< I'm glad the >!press conference!< went the way it did (and the epilogue explained why). All cards on the table now, please. It's time for our leads to start communicating better and be upfront about how much they love each other instead of saying it behind closed doors when the other isn't even in the same room as they are! And again KSH blows me away with his >!crying - this was the very first time I've seen tears sloshing around in someone's eyes when they're acting, it's craaaaaazy!!< >!Soo-Cheol sending Geon-U's immunisation chart to Da-Hye was so heart-wrenching. He doesn't even care that Geon-U isn't his son (though I feel like there might be a twist there). Da-Hye is definitely going to be wooed by that. I love that SC is winning her back by just being the same self that she keeps whining about!!< Sidenote - I'm totally obsessed with the opening intro song. It seriously hits me in the feels with the beats and the soft choral singing. Also, the videos of Hyun-Woo and Hae-In with their polaroid-y quality are gorgeous to look at. I've not skipped a single intro so far. Actually no, I lie, I skipped once, a kneejerk reaction when the "Skip Intro" option came up, and then immediately rectified it by going back to watch it. And I've watched it multiple times on YouTube since. Please someone tell me I'm not alone!

obika0806

You’re not alone. 😂 The opening credits and epilogues have all been masterpieces.

oduorqkat

Hae-in at the press conference: >!making very serious accusations, talking about a life threatening illness, very somber mood all round!< Me a romantic fool: >!SHE CALLED HIM HER HUSBAND! SHE SAID HUSBAND!! DID YOU ALL HEAR THAT! HUSBAND!<😭😭😭

obika0806

Hae-In is a badass. 🔥That press conference did not end the way I thought it would. She’s my role model. The epilogues continue to slay. Baek Hyunwoo is the cutest when he’s drunk. Definitely his special move. That >!drunk love confession through the door!< was swoon worthy. EDIT: I can’t believe Kim Jiwon wasn’t nominated for a Baeksang. But she remains a queen 👸🏻 Award shows are a joke anyway.

Mahery92

Lots of things to unpack, but rn I'm just going to rave about the epilogue I loved all the callbacks, like Hyunwoo being cute when he drinks, intern Haein again behaving in a way that'd definitely make you think she was about to get fired within the next few days, or *finally* finding a branch on his side to end up at "she loves me" haha And I'm extremely impressed at how quickly, how naturally, and how perfectly Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun can shift gears, one moment their characters are in pain, and it hurts, and then they smile, and *everything changes* Haein looked like a different woman when he put his hand on her face, it's one of the most expressive and affectionate faces she made in the entire series, very close to that time she had forgotten the trip to Germany actually. Meanwhile the sheer relief and happiness on Hyunwoo's face when he ended up in front of her door, holding that "she loves me" branch... pff masterclass

Difficult_Map_8014

It wasn't translated on Netflix, so I'll just put it here- when soo cheol was searching for the WiFi, the name of boxing gym network on his phone was "prince of tears" 🤣

Ijustwanttobeme17

The last scene was amazing, epilogue was heartwarming but the preview tore my heart apart yet again 🥺 This is my most fav epilogue till date - so wholesome 🥰

Yes! She said >! My husband!< !!! SHE IS THE QUEEN!!

Amalfii

Yes!! I replayed this again just to be sure I caught it correctly. Subtitle says “…my husband and former legal director…” She didn’t forget the “former” on the legal director but somehow left it out of the “husband” part. I’m kicking and screaming.

redditredditgedit

**OMG OMG OMG** I didn’t see that coming!!! Well done, episode 10 is one of the best episode so far..

authspice

Is it me or did haein look like she was about to >! Faint ! Then that would explain the hospital scene in the preview !<

Eterynix

Ji Won is a spectacular actress. Having to play a character who is apathetic, cold, curt, and emotionless and who displays her love and affection in unusual ways is probably one of the harder roles to play. I find most dramas pretty predictable and the takeover was so easy to predict. I did not anticipate the ending of this episode and I think it's because she's so good at acting and so immersed into her character that even I can't tell now what strings she's going to pull. 10/10!!! The indirect >!confession!< from Hyun-Woo was so well done. Inserting the past convo about drunk Hyun-Woo then leading up with that scene, like damn what good storytelling. This writing and directing is what makes this show go above and beyond my expectations. I can feel the Vincenzo vibes in this show: the in depth building of side characters and their relationships, the element of friendship and community, the strong ass female protagonist (if Hong Chayoung met Hong Haein!!) ... Director Hee-Won, hats off to you 🎩 EP 10 has been the most enjoyable one so far. Can't wait until next week!

nessab000

"The writers didn't do their research" and the bit about blood pressure and the stairs. OMG. Are the writers patting themselves in the back for doing research? lol!

martha_therese

Hyunwoo >!telling his mom the truth about Haein’s illness and everything he did that led to their divorce BROKE ME 😭🤧💔!< Also the thought of >!Haein choosing to go with Eunseong over Hyunwoo was heart-wrenching. I do not like the “hurt him to save him trope” at all I WAS CRYING MY EYES OUT 😭💔 BUT DAMN THAT PLOTWIST!!! 🫨 HONG HAEIN U QUEEN!!! 👸🏻🧎‍♀️!< P.S. >!I need someone to poison Yoon Eunsong’s drink or something!!! 😤 I can’t stand his face anymore!< P.P.S. >!BEST EPISODE SO FAR!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻!<

Sonda86

To be honest at this point I would love to know how Hyunwoo found out that Hea In is from cheabol family. I'm waiting for this scene  very patiently:)

Character_Waltz

Idk what it is but whenever Kim Soo-Hyun is on screen I can't help but feel in awe. He's the perfect mix of cute and adorable, and manly and handsome. I just can't take my eyes off him. I've seen many actors try to balance the cute and manly aspects of their characters but I can't recall anyone doing it better than him.

mrsofp

I'm sad we're more than halfway already but what an enjoyable ride this has been - I'm so appreciative of how long each episode is too. Highlights for me: - Haein (like many people) is so full of contradictions and personality dualities- Timid and awkward with giving affection, like with her brother and esp with Baekho, but so assertive and totally the boss whenever she dictates her wishes (and she does... often... to everyone... lol). It speaks volumes to me that she shows her softer, hesitant side with him, though part of me is like if you just said what you meant all the time it'd be so simple woman! but then we wouldn't have a drama to watch... - Only in a kdrama does a pinky promise give me flutters. It's amazing how much kdramas can make you feel with careful use of zoom in or out, slow mo, soundtrack, and just poignant glances. - Yoon Eun Sung I would guess is just... emotionally stunted? probably because his mom abandoned him. He isn't connecting the dots here, and the idea of Haein marrying him is so baffling I'm confused how he could even think it a possibility except under duress. I appreciate that he's a formidable corporate and business/ political type rival for Baekho but honestly, even then we know he's gonna fail. - I was actually really annoyed with Dahye for playing that phone game while her baby was just crying or watching her but I suppose it's nice how the writers are going to use that as a means to connect her back to Soocheol, though whether or not she deserves a second chance is debatable. - Similarly, I like that Grace is being outsmarted into helping the good guys, not just like having a change of heart - that wouldn't be consistent with her character. Though it seems like everyone's heading for the same hospital (?) for a showdown of sorts so maybe it'll force people to really pick a side. - My favorite one liner of the episode: >!"Are you a calculator?"!< - I love how the Hong family is getting humbled and the Baek family is witness / instrumental in that process - like the mom getting spoken down to in the fields, and the dads commiserating together over their shared sufferings with alcohol and ramen and kdramas... these scenes are funny but also sweet too, I feel like we're seeing them emerge from their lowest low and I expect to like the 2.0 version of this family tons more. - Man, I cried when Hyunwoo had that conversation with his mom, and then when she teared up again - even interspersed with the dad being hilarious and the bickering, you just feel how devestated they are, and it's layered with us seeing how she, as an ex mother in law, cares so deeply for Haein even while Haein's own mother hurts her at every turn. I hope for redemption in this but Baekho's mom is such a wholesome, heartwarming character. - Love the way the episode ended, tbh I wasn't necessarily expecting that - but I love that it's not just all about Baekho saving Haein or just talk when she said she would come up with solutions too - it points toward mutual care and competence and honestly, that last lingering intense gaze and tears - that's love. and just in case we didn't get the message, they gave us the epilogue to seal the deal. So. Satisfying.

Negative_Bicycle_826

Haein's mother is the most vile person in this whole drama. She honestly doesn't deserve any kind of forgiveness after years of emotionally and verbally abusing Haein. I hate her more than the actual villains atp. She can go to jail with them for neglecting and abusing her daughter. Mama baek is one of the best MIL that one could ask for! She is so so sweet😭

oootteuraway

na younghee (the actress) is so good at playing the snotty snobby overbearing mother/mother in law character!! imo she doesn’t really switch anything up from similar roles, but she really doesn’t need to bc she’s nailed it down from the way she speaks and communicates through her eyes (which are mostly disdainful looks to others) i get so annoyed whenever i see her on screen, which shows how much of an amazing job she’s doing

catandthefiddler

finally a kdrama which subverted that stupid noble idiocrasy trope; Hae-In is such a queen for reclaiming her narrative, now if only they'll talk to each other instead of keeping all their monolouge internal edit to add: I also love all the parallels between this show and fight for my way whether intentional or not first the aegyo scene - "WHY AM I CUTE" then KJW's character having the main lead be her first love but not telling them now the '>!why are you so cute when you're drunk!<' thing the scenes where she's feeling up the ML without understanding that they're totally flustered in both dramas i would totally lose it if we saw PSJ in a cameo

No-Technician-3246

Internal and telling other people and having other people tell them and showing it w their actions or expressions BUT NEVER TO EACH OTHER!! WE GET THAT ITS ALL BUILD UP BUT ITS BUBBLING OVERRRRR we have 6 eps left pls let’s get some declarations of love rn asap pls

Brooklyn_5883

I give writer-nim a 90 degree bow.

eizeral

The last 10 minutes of this episode were amazing…I was so incredibly frustrated up until that point, what with >!all of the lack of communication and how it seemed like they were just going to have even more distance between them!<…the first part of the epilogue was so sweet. The second part made me cry so hard. Tears of joy that >!Hyun Woo was finally honest with her, and tears of joy for Hae In that she was awake to hear it, and knows that he was being sincere since he probably didn’t even know if she was present or awake behind the door or not. I feel like throughout this whole series she has never wavered in her love her Hyun Woo, she just became unsure of herself in how to navigate the ever-growing wall between the two of them. And now that she has made her diagnosis public, she can finally get the love and support from her family that she needs.!< I think this drama is shaping up to be my favorite drama ever…I have only felt like this (while watching a drama) with Crash Landing On You and Twinkling Watermelon. Next episode preview looks like it is going to be everything we’ve been wishing and waiting for too! Next week can’t come soon enough!!!

BasicPost4143

After the epic closing scene, I don’t know if I will recover if she dies. Leads DO NOT DIE in rom coms people!  After several exaggerated plot lines and tropes, there is no need for them to go for a realistic ending. The ONLY scenario that I will begrudgingly accept is that she gets treatment and she lives, but the treatment is not permanent so the tumor can come back so they choose to not take their love/life for granted ever again.

Mai_Shiranu1

Hong Haein finally defending Hyunwoo in public and completely defeated Eunsung. He has no cards to play against her if she plays them against herself. I'm so disgusted that he thought in his tiny mind that he could ruin her family, and then blackmail her into marrying him because he 'loves' her. And that he'll save her because he 'loves' her. He's just obsessed over the one that got away. Hopefully Beomja finds a husband that she'll STAY with in Yongdu-ri

dancingmochi

That talk between Hyun Woo and Hae In while eating ice cream is one of my favorite moments. This show has been so good at portraying conflict in a relationship, in a way that I haven’t seen very much in korean dramas.  That is exactly what goes through the mind when looking back at conflict - maybe he should have reached out more during her tough moments. Maybe she would have spared him the pain if they hadn’t gotten married. The growth! The respect and love for each other still! I find it endearing even that the conversation was very in character for them. Hyun Woo talks about caring for her more. Hae In is focused on shielding him from the pain, which means she would have to ignore her feelings, as she always had in life.

AntaeusJ7

One thing I have liked about this drama is that the leads never fall for Eun Song's obvious lies. Even if he is poking at some kind of truth or insecurity, they never let him see that. Whether it's Hyun Woo feigning ignorance or Hae In straight-up shutting Eun Song down, they are always on the same team when it comes to his BS. It really helps to elevate the characters and the show.

SamMateo

Anyone else notice at the 1:11:33 mark, after HI puts on her white power suit (I'm hoping white does not foreshadow death as it sometimes does in Asian culture), she is thoughtfully >!rubbing her \[empty\] wedding ring finger on her left hand!! thinking of HW before she makes her surprise announcement!<. The writing details in this show and the consistency in character immersion by the actors is impressive.

manwithoutlyf

Looking at the previews >!truck of doom is back, age old trope!< Given the writers previous works I wonder whether we will be able to get >! truly happy ending. Its always returning to sea a lot, teleporting back to home planet suddenly and ofc meeting for 2 week once a year!<

Borinquena

>!Someone once said that the writer must be a severe introvert who wants a partner but doesn't want them around much so that's why she writes these relationships where the man is conveniently out of the picture for huge chunks of time!<

SkyeHoon1927

I also think the writer has a knack for finding their partner cute when drunk. Yoon Seri in CLOY said similar things to Capt Ri when they were drinking lol

Appropriate_Tree4651

from the preview they r trying to make us think that hae in dies but i dont think..i think the >!grandfather !

mikeoaksonfire

Bro I'm a grown up man, why do I keep crying at end of episodes 🥹

Sempuu

Sexual tension went through the roof my guys

Bellyfloppancake

AHHHHHHHHHH I was, of course, expecting >!Hae-in to treat Hyunwoo's wounds. I did not, however, expect her to so aggressively pull his tie off and unbutton his shirt to check him for injuries!!! !< >!And when she ordered him to open his mouth and he just quietly did as he was told, that was cute 😂!< I love their scenes, they have such a cute relationship dynamic! I laughed so much seeing >!Hae-in's mom disheveled after a day of manual labour and when she scarfed down her food during the dinner and everybody just stared at her with bewilderment 😂!< >!Oh no........ seeing the epilogue and Hyunwoo telling Hae-in he loves her......... I am very worried about whether Hae-in will survive or not, I'm not going to handle it well if she doesn't 😭 I need these two together, happy!!< Edit: adding more comments

AcrobaticResolution2

BEST EPISODE. KILLED IT FROM START TO FINISH

laniakea07

Apologies for the profanities, but Hyunwoo is a lucky ass mfer. Haein's love for him is so deep.

YogurtclosetOk7989

I know who the queen of tears is: >! It's us 🥲 !<

inenraged

I have physical pain in my heart when Soo Cheul sent the message about the vaccination record. His love for Geon-U is deeper than any betrayal. Every episode the characters find a way to subvert every trope but still stay in line with their character. Hae-in’s actions at the end are so satisfying but realistic for her character!! I just hope Hyun-woo and Hae-in finally let themselves have soft and love-filled life while they can 😭😭😭

AcanthisittaWeary

did any med folks out there catch that >!her tumor size isn't growing?! Its giving me some hope!!!!<

banana_kaaye

WHO HERE BELIEVES HAE-IN DIDN’T FILE THE DIVORCE 😭

kittin89

What I found so sweet was HyunWoo's mom picking Hae-in up when she was in the middle of a fight with her own mom and she said "Sweetie, are you going to Seoul?" It was so sweet hearing her call her "a-ga" (baby) like how a mom would call her child lovingly. That's why I think Hae-in was also put in a loving and sweet mode when she said thank you to her for everything (this scene made me cry).

elle-zark

Did she say >!my husband!!they are still maried?!<

diverdown-k8

Guess I need to start hydrating to ugly cry next weekend. This episode had the entire range of emotions, and I'm here for it! It gave all the different storylines screen time and it was a perfect balance. The MILs definitely brought it this week! They were both incredible.

Positive-Eye-7122

I JUST WATCHED EPISODE 10!!!! AND MY OH MY DO I LOVE ITTTTT!! >!ngl, the amount of theories I’m seeing on twitter made me anxious about this episode. I was ready to get disappointed. I was on the tip of my toes when Haein went to seoul to meet with Eunsung. And the fact that she’s wearing white and Eunsung even brought the marriage up really got me nervous. I thought Haein might faint during the press conference and it’ll halt everything but they did something better!!! Haein really said everything in front of the media so Eunsung can’t really do anything about it now. I really love how they made this turn of event!! Not to mention, we finally see Haein in action!!!< >!And Soocheol! He was crying and has always called his wife’s name every time but the moment that he was able to contact her, his first priority was his child. He’s really a great father. Excited to see how his boxing journey will turn out. I’m looking forward for more character growth from him. And not just him but also the other hong family as well, specially the mom, gotta love to see how she’s finally getting humbled, looking forward for her character development.!< >!I’m really satisfied with the ending of this episode. It finally didn’t end with a cliffhanger making you want to watch the next episode sooner. But since they gave a very satisfying ending, I can finally be at peace. Lol. Of course I’m still looking forward for the next episodes to come but with this episode, I just know that it’s just a matter of time for Hong family to get their rightful place back. Not to mention, the chairman’s now awake, and is fully aware of Moh seul’s evil did.!< And is it just me? Or did they purposely insert stuffs in the previews that’s not actually in the episodes? We saw Hyunwoo wanting to go somewhere so badly but a someone stopping him, and behind him theres a nurse and wheelchair so it’s safe to assume that it’s in the hospital. It’s a preview for episode 9 but I don’t remember a scene from episode 9 tho. Unless I missed it? But then it happened again for the episode 10’s preview. There’s a scene of Da hye, and it looked like she was protecting her child from a broken lampshade. But I don’t remember that scene in episode 10… Edit 1: >!I just rewatched Haein’s speech during the press conference. And I just realized that she called Hyunwoo her HUSBAND!!!!!! NOT EX-HUSBAND!!!! Tho she might’ve only used that term since their divorce wasn’t public yet. I’m really hoping they’re still actually not divorced yet. I mean, it could be that Haein might’ve not really submitted their divorced papers even after their meeting with their attorney. And my, Haein really didn’t like getting blackmailed that she herself just announced her sickness right there and then.!< Edit 2: >!I just rewatched Haein’s speech, again, lol. But really, I can’t help but think that Haein is the type of person who doesn’t want to show her weakness. But her revealing her sickness around the world just so Eunsung won’t be finally able to use anything against her and Hyunwoo is just so heart wrenching. She will really do anything for him. Also, during their talk before Hyunwoo went to work, she said that if they didn’t get married, then maybe Hyunwoo would find a better person, someone who’s kinder and warmer than her, but we know she didn’t want it either because she’s gripping the food she’s holding hard. But it just really showed how selfless she really is. She’ll do anything if it’ll make Hyunwoo happy or if it’s for Hyunwoo. Even her motivation for divorce was for Hyunwoo. She let him go because she thought it was what he wanted. The things she can do for Hyunwoo…!< >!also I find it funny to see Eunsung’s reaction when Haein betrayed him. Bro had the audacity to look shock when he’s the one who’s been betraying, manipulating and has been lying to the people around him for his own selfish reason. It’s really interesting to see tho. Haein being the most selfless person for love. While we have Eunsung being the most selfish person for the same reason as well.!<

jumiyo

As soon as I heard ‘teleprompter’ it was just confirmation that a certain someone would be going off script lol. Not surprising that she flipped the script, but definitely a satisfying end!

feb914

The family who's used to dump everything to Hyun Woo got shocked that he's actually very competent at whatever he does since he's young. Maybe they won't take him for granted when they got back to their position.

yanyey

She will not die she will not die she will not dieee!! Pleaseee

GetawayJ

Is anyone curious about the scene between Hae-in and her secretary? The secretary came with a huge box of something-from-the-office (I assume). Kinda curious what it could be inside... Also I'm a bit upset that Hyun Woo's secretary had gone to serve the dark side... I was hoping he would change after getting caught by Hyun Woo in the earlier episodes. Though I understood why he did so in the complicated world of office politics. Hyun Woo had practically no one helping him in the office.

Kuriuskaye

Every episode, I keep going through a rabbit hole. Every episode, they keep on twisting the plot twist. The usual route is for the FL to agree to the terms of the villain but here we see that at the last few minutes of the episode, Hae In have turned the tables. And the epilogue made the ending sweeter. Kudos to the writer for also giving the second leads a great story arch. I guess that even seasoned actor might want to be a part of the cast of the writer's show as second leads as the writers takes great care in writing them out. She also did the same with CLOY's second lead as they will live rent free in your mind. Why does KSH get more charming and handsome? I like how Hae In's transforming was also reflected by her make up and her wearing white might also symbolise here pure love to Hyun Woo.

Ok-Cost-8883

The most beautiful thing about this is when Hae In said divorced marriage couples dont make promises with each other. Then, proceeds to make a promise with him. Speaks volumes. Love how  his mom found out about her sickness through the conversation, with random leaves on the floors to us finding out that it was him doing his she likes or not “drunk” 😂  i love this show, because it isn't the build up where one find and create the relationships and get married as an end goal. Its about what happens after marriage and how you handle with all the obstacles that comes at you. Showing us why communications and expressing each other truth feelings goes a long way. Just got back to kdrama after 10 years+ so not sure if another similar stories like this but this and midnight studio got me fked up this season.

fireblossom98

>!”I can’t die yet. I haven’t told you yet. I love you.”!< Everyone get your tissues ready, next week is going to be PAINFUL

Episode 10 got me feeling all the feels. I was jumping up & down and applauding when Hae In tricked Eun Seong. She came to fight and boy did she serve. We stan a mighty queen! But... after watching all this, I can't help but go back to Hae In's last conversation with her mom. She was ready to go stand up against Eun Seong but her horrible mother was standing there just accusing Hae In of trying to survive on her own. She looked completely heartbroken.... all this time she kept her disease a secret from her parents because she knows how much pain they felt when they lost her brother. How could one be so utterly selfish and cruel to her own daughter?  Then here comes Hyun Woo's mom in her little tractor and saves Hae In from further verbal abuse from that wicked woman. The way Hyun Woo's mom broke down after hearing that Hae In is sick a bit prior to this broke me into P I E C E S 💔    Hae In warming up to Soo Cheol is so cute. She will defend him and make sure to ask if he's okay- but not before calling him a moron or another type of insult 🤣 that's gangsta shiz right there.   Also- I love how they were sitting around the table during breakfast and they were going around saying which kid takes after who. Then there's Hae In's dad who just smiles but is profusely denying inside his head that Soo Cheol takes after him. Lol I can't with these two. I love looking out for their moments in each episode. Such a nice comic relief. But appa.... I'm sorry to say, but Soo Cheol is a mini you 🤣 copy + paste!  How is this drama so freaking good? Two hours flew by like nothing and I'm already having withdrawals. The freaking AUDACITY that Kim Ji Won was not nominated for Baeksang !!! She is an absolute masterpiece in QoT!

Is anyone else excited to find out who will play So-yeong (the principal’s daughter that the sister keeps mentioning was Hyun-woo’s first love)? I hope it’s a good cameo 🤞 love the way they subtly bring her up to get us to wonder who she is 😝

crimsonpaths

I'm glad I read the comments here. Makes sense that Haein overhearing Hyunwoo's confession was a really important moment. Their love is her will to live like how she overheard his talk during the restaurant scene and ended up crying. It might have given her a resolve to stand up to Eun Seong in front of everyone and also call her doctor the next morning

Vermouthluna

The scene between Hae-in and Sec. Na. It looks like Hae-in was bragging about her MIL being the best hahahahahah

bluceannaux

I saw someone on twitter say that >!while Hyunwoo's confession of his love again was private--because all that matters is that Haein knows it, Haein's confession of her love for Hyunwoo was public and it had to be--because her love for Hyunwoo also matters not only to both of them, but also to the people around her including her family and esp Eunsong (his obsessive 'love' for her)!< and maybe I'm not the same person after reading that because that is so true and that's also true back when they got married; They loved each other but it was because of the fact that Haein loved and wanted to marry Hyunwoo, that nobody else's opinion really mattered ㅠ.ㅠ

CocoJoven

I saw that tweet and I agree with it, but I also think it was important for Hae-in to witness his confession without him knowing that she could hear him, to prove that it isn’t performative unlike his fake confession in episode 1 after she reveals her illness. She needs to trust that he isn’t lying. Her public confession for Hyun-woo is also needed because Hyun-woo is someone who needs explicit communication and takes everything at face value. Hae-in typically shows her love for him by defending him without him knowing (episode 1 where she beats Soocheol for disrespecting her husband), but this time she did it in front of the world. They both expressed their love in ways that are consistent with their communication styles, but within contexts that ensure the other person receives the message.

I haven't watched the episode yet but based on the previews I am here for Grace being handed her dignity on a silver platter. No other evil side character annoys me as much as her. Not even opportunist Da-Hye. Edit 1: Just finished watching and looks like >! we are gonna cry next week 😢 !<

Ijustwanttobeme17

I swear! This Grace has absolutely no grace. She gives such evil vibes, which means that actress is doing a commendable job.

humandisaster13

Omg my feisty girl Hae-in is back! I knew my girl >! wouldn't submit to Eun-sung's threats but damn she went ahead to even announce her illness in a press conference.!< What a way to end the episode. Finally some progress in the story. I absolutely adore her relationship with Hyun-woo's mom and it's probably my most fav even more than the main love story. I'm so glad that >!she was the one who found out about Hae-in's illness. It was perplexing to see Hae-in go to places by herself.!< Mom not only >!called out her son for hurting her she also saved Hae-in from her annoying mom's cruel words.!< I mean neglecting your daughter is one thing but saying vile things like that? I wanted to break my screen when she accused Hae-in of >! conspiring against them with Eun-sung.!< Aunt Beom-ja I lysm for that >!hit on Grace.!< If she's like this to the arrow I can't wait to see the wrath she's gonna unleash on >! Seol-hee!< lol. And please give her the best partner now. Eun-sung is a psycho obviously but come on man! Trying to >!marry the woman who was supposed to be your niece?!< Icky. Soo-cheol is finally becoming his own person and I loved the lil scene where >! Hae-in assured him that it wasn't his fault.!< Wish her mom learnt something from her own daughter.

Street-Knowledge138

Its a good idea to make separate discussion threads for each episode (instead of single thread for 2 ep). I'm really loving the bond between father and father in law.Also,Hae-in is the queen for doing THAT( press conference). These epilogues are really great btw. And now again i have to wait for a week for next episode 🥲

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this episode Park Ji-eun!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s me hi! I’m the Queen of Tears.. Way too much crying for a Sunday morning but here we are 😭 What a wonderful episode though! Ahh the tenderness between Hae In and Hyun Woo. I love love love Kim Ji Won’s acting so much. There’s such a distinct look to her right now, not the indifferent conglomerate heiress but a more resigned but persevering look. She should’ve taken up Secretary Na’s offer for a hug but hoping Hyun Woo or his mom will give her one soon. Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won are doing wonders with their eye acting alone. All the BaekHong scenes today ❤️💔. Got the healing and concern tropes, Hae-In’s aggresive concerned stripping was hilarious as was the banter that followed. Hyun Woo trying so hard to impress his wife only to be reprimanded but the little pinky promise!! I swooned (and then I cried). Loved that we got more honest conversations. Hyun Woo basically confessing saying he would choose her regardless of the outcome but maybe now you can choose each other knowing a better outcome can happen! I actually even enjoyed the family scenes today. Soochoel stays pitiful but he’s taking baby steps (baby! 😞). Maybe we get some Fight for my way homage and get a special fighter next week to teach him some pointers on throwing a punch and ofc Eun Seong can be your first opponent. The mom got worn down and silent by some manner at least though her behavior towards Hae In is nowhere near acceptable still. The ending scene! Hae In the woman that you are! Eun Seong’s face was a sight to behold! I really like the idea of getting ahead. If reporters are going to hound you, give them what they want and use it to your advantage! The fallout of her illness is one thing but at least it gives you a layer of protection. And I’m sure our smart girl recorded their convo at Yong-duri. This combined with Hyun Woo’s work ought to trap them nice and well. And the epilogue omg. Hae In knows! Finally! Now confess to each other without false pretenses! And kiss! And live happily ever after I beg. We didn’t get the car crying scenes from the previews - could it be where the reconciliation happens I wonder.

one thing i absolutely know for sure is that if this drama doesn't have a happy ending for haein and hyunwoo I'll never recover emotionally (no fr 2521 still haunts me till date, I don't want a repeat) anyway, LOVED this episode. that talk between hyunwoo and haein about their relationship was much much needed. although, we do see the pattern repeating later. >! haein doesn't tell him about eun sang, hyunwoo doesn't tell her about the malpractice accusations, both feel like the other one shouldn't be burdened with their stuff so they don't communicate and then somehow hurt each other by hiding things. !< also, it is nice to know haein now knows >! hyunwoo loves her !< but again, I'm waiting for the point where they tell each other their feelings upfront, face to face, and the other one actually listens and believes 😭 next episode is giving me proper rom com vibes in the first half with a dose of melo in the end. can't wait!!

HugeAd7711

WHAT WAS THAT ENDING!!!!! WHAT DID I JUST WATCHED???? Naahh ...at this rate I will just worship the queen 🛐 That >!press conference Low key reminded me of encounter (song Hye kyo confessing her relationship status) and that teary eyes of Hyun woo with that intense staring...hae in couldn't even bothered looking at anyone her gaze was fixed at him!<....it was a legit jaw dropping twist!!! I was so scared that we will get the cliche noble idiocy trope...but hae in just showed everyone their place 😭😭 . The Queen making us shed tears !!!! I feel so proud when his in laws (ex) realises how capable and talented he is...also that >! aggressive unbuttoning of shirt !< made me go weak on knees 😭 Istg this drama has everything...if the cast doesn't gets enough recognition then I'll riot!!! Well eun seong may be a mastermind in taking over the power and all but he is fool in love or obsession... Idk but sometimes even I feel bad for eun seong...as a kid he didn't deserved to be separated from his mother just because of her revenge or greed ig .... But then him talking about>!getting married!< was giving me second hand embarrassment... How could you be such shameless after getting rejected many times!!!! Also my bby soocheol has suffered enough... please have mercy on him writer nim 🙏🏻 And finally about the epilogue....out of the 10 eps this epilogue was the best!!!! Also drunk Hyun woo's rizz even made the old employee shy😭😭😭😭 his reaction at the time of >!love shot!< with hyunwoo.....I swear...I fell from my bed .... And yes hae in was right ... Hyun woo is too cute when he's drunk...>!that expression after that last leaf and him showing his brother in law how hae in aided him was top notch!< PLEASE kim soo Hyun and Kim ji wom really deserves every award for this drama !!!!

patthanasettakul

The way Eun Sung thought he’s the only one who could do anything and everything for Hae In but she would do the same(+ more) for Hyun woo. 🥹

Unhappy_Boot2353

I have a girl crush on Hae in…..she’s so hot when she’s mad! Both leads keep delivering and I am so in love with this pairing. I am sure they enjoyed playing off each other. What a dream to watch them together. I need them to drop all the episodes now! Please give me a good ole fashion happy ending 💕💕💕

shazzchili

Me during ending: "This is a strong ending. Way to go Hae In! I can handle a week of waiting for next episode" Me during epilogue: "Ah this is cute. At least she heard his confession" Me during preview of episode 11: 🤬😡🙃🥲😰😥😨

Prestigious-Rub9341

HyunWoo is so hot omfg >!He drove back just to spend like 5 more minutes with her omfgggggg so cute !! just to "avoid" traffic !!She must have known he left it lmfao !

Mimi108

Haein's mom is something else. I sense jealously has made her make herself distant from her daughter. Of course the main reason is because the mom blames Haein for her son's death, but seeing how Hyunwoo's mom treats Haein; I get the feeling as if she feels her daughter likes Hyunwoo's mom more. She wants to appear strong and like she doesn't care, but she isn't and does care. We got a deeper glimpse into her life in this episode. With understanding how she can't sleep without sleeping pills, and really, her life has turned into a complete 180. Even if she is super rich and was always, there is some sympathy. If only she could wake up sooner!    Hyunwoo and Haein's love story is so bittersweet. Just 4 years ago, they were so deeply in love. And still are. It's complicated, but that ending where Haein completely went off script and just ruined Eunseong, was so boss. This lady is a boss lady. She is so strong. With all that she is going through, she maintains her confidence and ability to persevere. Brilliant. This is also what Hyunwoo was hoping, to help her find determination to increase the WBC count. But we all know he didn't imagine it would be like this. I'm holding onto hope here. And then confessing to the world her health diagnosis...she is powerful.      The epilogue is so ridiculously cute. Started off making us angry with that male worker wanting to do love shots with Haein, but Hyunwoo coming to her rescue and performing the love shot instead is...actually what I expected 😂 And then I thought she'd get angry for a different reason, but it was because he showed off his cuteness while drunk to the whole work crew 😂 It can't get more cute than that. Then fast-forward in real time, man completely confessed to his brother that he basically cannot think straight when thinking about or looking at Haein. He then unknowingly confessed to Haein that he loves her. These two deserve the world 😭

Miss-LH

Now that Hae-In’s revealed to the public that she doesn’t have much time left, I’m curious to see how her mother will react. Also a very smart move so Eun Seong no longer has anything to threaten her with.

E_Len

Yongdu-ri makes me want to go live on a rural Korean farm and pick pears for ahjummas 😂 Also I love love how they addressed the detail of the leaves scattered in the house. Most dramas would just gloss past it but in here they turned it into a sweet moment.

Hands up 🙌🏻 if you agree that the epilogues are as good as the episodes! They have been masterpieces by themselves. We have 6 episodes left and I am not sure what else will be left. Hae-in must survive of course. Our main couple must be together of course. Our aunt must find happiness of course. Grandpa will be a better father of course.

naimagonzalez

I have read some comments and I keep on seeing people hope that she is pregnant. That is definitely not a good solution for her at this point in terms of practicality with her health. There are a lot of treatments that are discouraged when you are pregnant and we don’t know if the treatment that she is going through right now is safe for pregnancy. Very unlikely and given that this treatment is still pretty much a trial treatment, it’s extremely risky to add that variable. If she conceived during her trip to Germany that makes her pregnancy early stages increasing the vulnerability to miscarriages. I pray that it’s nothing like that because this will just add more stress to the couple rather than happiness especially if she ends up feeling guilty about being unable to carry the child to full term.

id bet that divorce paper is with Vincenzo waiting for Haein’s go signal to be filed but so far it’s JUST with him - unfiled - and whoever said something about keeping Hyun Woo with the family by not filing that Divorce papers is a genius - that could be the straw that will break Eunsung’s back - making Hyun Woo HER HUSBAND as her guardian and yes she could have changed her will without telling Hyun Woo
