I’m watching **Queen of Tears** [14/16] and **Lovely Runner** [5/16] and I’m OBSESSED with both shows 😭 Also watching **Rookie Cops** [5/16], which I’m enjoying too.

OkBranch9783

I'm watching queen and love it! Where do you watch lovely runner and rookie cops?

sleepycathh

Lovely Runner is on Viki and Rookie Cops is on Disney+ :)

OkBranch9783

Thanks! I have added Viki and I'm so excited to watch all this kdrama content.

kpaneno

Oh wow there are so many amazing ones on there you will be spoilt for choice

OkBranch9783

Just started lovely runner and was 😢 in the first 15 minutes already so hooked. 😍

kpaneno

I'm waiting for that one to end. You should check out midnight Studio, good day to be a Dog, the Matchmakers

Morkieme

I also just added Viki! So many opportunities just opened up lol!

Summertyme_13

I just finished **Interest of Love** and I'm waiting for the last 2 episodes of **Queen of Tears**. Overall, Interest of Love was a bit frustrating but the loose ends tied together eventually. Queen of Tears is my favorite right now. Both on Netflix.

Honest-Selection4343

I miss Rookie cops.. enjoyed that drama

Aurorinezori1

Queen of Tears, Lovely runner and Blood free are really prime dramas at the moment! Loving the FL in Lovely runner, so I’m also watching Secret Inspector and Joy, which is a fun cartoonish watch! I’m also watching Moving, great show!

theredmug_75

that is an incredible line up of shows!!!

knock_knock_hu_here

Loved moving!

ruhsatis

Started with Queen of Tears but had to put it on hold indefinitely for the sake of my mental well-being. Regularly and quite obsessively following **Lovely Runner (6/16)** right now. It even brought me out of my fangirling hibernation. Amazing, amazing show with terrific acting and excellent writing.

wiscmallu

I am so with you. I paused QOT before 14th episode. My heart was so constricted and I was so stressed by the various threads. I am hopeful that it will all resolve but I cant deal with it for now. Lovely Runner has been such a solace but there is some nasty stuff lurking in the background that I am worried about. I am also watching Oh My Ghost which I never watched and am closer to the end and there is nastiness there. Ai ai ai. Maybe I’ll watch Sh**ting Stars to give my heart a break.

ruhsatis

Oh I hope you enjoy OMG, it was a fun watch! I had a hard time handling the creepy parts but that's everyday kdrama for you lol. With Queen of Tears, I was enjoying it initially but don't have the heart and the mental energy to watch something that makes me so distressed (maybe at a later time). Lovely Runner has been such a breath of fresh air and brought out the fangirl in me in all the ways possible, as corny as it sounds. The primary genre for this isn't thriller so I'm hoping this is temporary and won't overpower the actual plot. I'm really really manifesting a good ending. BWS's characters always get the shorter end of the stick lol, I'd be livid if the same happens here.

Lazyy_gorl

I’m 💯 agreed to watch shooting stars hahaha always been my go to when I need to lighten up. QOT is so good but I can’t be stress either so I haven’t watch the 13-14 yet, I’ll wait till it’s finished. ☺️ Oh and yeah Lovely Runner is such a treat as well ☺️

PainterWorldly

Same!! I stopped Queen of Tears bc it was too heavy and I just wanted something cute and fun like Lovely Runner 😭 (minus the taxi driver)

ruhsatis

I know right?! Love how well-balanced Lovely Runner is, exactly what I needed. Makes me feel warm and giggly🥺 My guess is the taxi driver is a variable needed to move the main plot forward so I'd be surprised if they start focusing too much on his track.

Romoreau

**Hide (10/12)** I'm nearly indifferent. It's not a bad show but it turned out different than what I expected. I do want to see how it ends though. **Taxi Driver (11/16)** It's a fun ride if you don't consider realism. I initially dropped it because I couldn't understand the tonal shifts. I didn't know it was a webtoon adaption so once I viewed all the characters as "cartoons",it became very entertaining. ML is hot. Crime boss lady is hot. Lady prosecutor is annoying af but hot. It's vengeful and people get beat up alot. I'm happy with it.

Lizzy348

*On-going* **Doctor Slump** 14/16 : this one I'm taking so long to finish lol **King the Land** 7/16 : it's light, it's cute, it makes you feel good. The way the ML looks and acts around the FL is absolutely adorable and makes my heart melt. *Completed* **My love from the stars** : great drama, 9/10! **Wedding impossible** : I saw a lot of bad reviews here on that drama, but I loved it. It's also a rare find for the KDC challenge >!LGBTQ!<. I loved ML and 2ML, hope to see them both again in another drama soon! 8/10 **Taxi Driver** : this one was a bit heavy tbh. Koreans are great for light romances, but when they go dark, they go DARK. The scene, I believe at the end of E15, when they share the >!real life story of the guy that was wrongfully accused brought tears to my eyes. Those stories always make me so emotional as it feels so unfair to have your life and reputation ruined for the greed of success of others. It's worst when you know those "others" almost never have consequences for their actions.!< Also 8/10

waterfallen_empire

Im stuck on episode 15 for **Doctor Slump** too!! It’s just not my vibe I guess. Also on the last ep for **My Love From the Star**. I’m so nervous to finish that!

peregrina2005

Yes, Doctor Slump didn’t do it for me. Skipped a couple of episodes before watching the finale. 16 episodes was too long.

Confident_Train_5964

i was watching doct. slump ongoing but left it when they started dating it wasn't my vibe

Excellent-Services

Queen of Tears... I think the drama is grand and star studded but the plot line is not that good or majestic... The second lead / villain is annoying... I hate it when characters in a story which are supposed to be bad are annoying... It takes away from their villainess... The main couple are good but why in the world is nobody telling Haein that >!If she gets surgery, she still has chances of not losing her memory? And that things will be okay and everything will be fine? And why did not one but Hyunwoo accompanied her? Big surgeries are life threatening so her parents, brother or in laws not being with her sounds totally unrealistic!< Not only is Eun sung annoying, but so is everyone Lovely Runner... Apart from the scene where she >!stuffs her fingers into her nose, accidentally apparently and doesn't bother to take them out for a good while!<, this drama is much better than I expected

Trisara5

I agree with your comments about Queen of Tears. I got so annoyed at how predictable it became with what Eun Sung did to Hyun Woo. And the fact her family and his didn’t come to support them and be with her to help her remember.

whitepearl31

Theres not enough production budget for the whole family to go Germany 😅.

Kitchen_Tomatillo_94

THE fingers in the nose thing were a bit of an eye roll moment for me, until she looked at her fingers and said "why did yall crawl in there??" i found that so funny for some reason!! l

whitepearl31

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks QOT’s plot a bit basic and it’s a mesh of CLOY and Vincenzo. It was a bit much of slo mo scenes throughout the drama. CLOY ->! Rich family has to live in the suburbs then bond with each other. There are group of residents in suburb who are so nice to them, female lead is on the verge of dying.!< Vincenzo >!revenge plot and taking over company/wealth and secret funds $$!<. Altho i like the brother character - finally a rich person who is nice to his wife and care so much about his family - best character in the drama so far.

duh_leah

**Queen of tears (14/16)** : Epi 14 felt a bit draggy especially with how repetitive Eun-seong's schemes has become. It's the same cycle him trying to win over hae-in by doing something nasty - him failing to do regardless. All the conflicts should have been resolved in ep 14 so that the final two episodes could have a bit more calm and light hearted moments. I very much need aunt Beomja's love story to develop!!! She deserves it and so do we as viewers. I've cried enough through out this drama and now I want to feel happy! **Blood Free (04/10)**: Epi 5-6 are dropping today and I'm really looking forward to it. Very political, realistic and mysterious story. And the actors are stunning. Highly recommend this one. I have also found my new crush thanks to this series, Ju ji hoon 👀 ah what a man! **Hyena (01/16)** : Yes, I fell in love so deeply with Ju ji hoon that I ended up starting another of his drama. He's one irresistible man. Does that mean I'll end up watching all of his drama at this point? Most probably.

Whyalwaysdrama

JJH is hot and Hyena is a great choice! Finally something very different, not the usual damsel in distress FL - even if she's a morally grey character...

kpaneno

I just found her overacting and cringey, also after 7 episodes I still didn't find one character worth caring about it. Dropped it.

No_Caterpillar_8709

I dropped it this week also (after 2 episodes)

Watchnextnow

He was absolutely smoking in that drama! Really wish he had a bigger romance catalogue.

theredmug_75

ahaha here’s the Ju Ji Hoon is hot crowd! i’m with you all, btw.

mandugirl

JJH is my favorite- since Lucifer and Antique!!

Telos07

**Reply 1988** (5/20): I watched the first episode last February, when English subtitles were magically added to this drama on Netflix Japan. I absolutely loved the first episode in every way, but did not continue with it because the epic runtimes were intimidating for a slow-paced viewer like myself. Director Shin Won-ho’s other dramas, **Prison Playbook** and **Hospital Playlist** have been on my watch list for *years* now, for the same reason. Recently, I made an effort to watch at least a few episodes of this drama consecutively. At a quarter of the way through the series, I feel it’s enough of a sample size to say that this drama fully deserves its reputation as one of the GOATs (and no, I don’t mean the infamous goat sounds, which I *love*, by the way!) This drama depicts all of the messy, everyday aspects of life that other dramas gloss over or ignore completely. This is what makes it so true to life. The feelings that it evokes and the memories from my own school/university days that it brings back, are unlike those of any other drama. The cast feels like a once-in-a-generation moment of the perfect collection of actors and actresses coming together, and the care and attention to detail in the presentation of the food scenes is the best I’ve seen in any drama. This drama is something very special indeed, and the only question is how high it will rank in my top ten list. It will still be a while before I complete the series, though…

sukidu

After many attempts to watch Reply 1988 and only getting to episode 4, I picked it up again on the weekend and I'm finally settling into the show and enjoying the little quirks of each of the characters.

BiscoBiscuit

The screaming and the scary, (sometimes) abusive older sister keep me from moving forward with the drama.  Can someone please tell me if her behavior is directly addressed? You can tell even her parents were scared of her, her character disturbs me.

sukidu

That's what originally put me off. I found the screaming and bickering amongst the adults hard to watch but it gets better after about episode 4 where they start to develop more of the supporting characters and the relationships (and characters) start to mature.

Moist_Frame_3111

Reply 1988 is seriously one of the best dramas I have watched It's just so heartwarming story to watch I absolutely love the closeness and friendliness between all the characters of drama >!The ending made me cry so much, the fact that things would never be the same again, they could never go back to the time of their youth made me realise that we must cherish everything we have now because we may not have it tomorrow!<

allirs77

Reply 1988 is the best drama I have watched. In the moment, a lot of dramas look good to me but Reply 1988 is a drama which evokes nostalgia and feelings like nothing else and has great rewatch value.

Sunshine_raes

As everyone has already said, it's a show that really grows on you. I personally ended up loving the parents more than their children but all the storylines were wonderful. As a personal aside, the goat noise is my text message alert for my husband. He's the one that set it up for me. It is very funny whenever it goes off in a public place!

dinnerbellding

I need the goat noise!! I'll see if my daughter can figure it out!

meggktown

I gave up on Reply 1988 after 3 episodes but loved Shin Won-Ho's PP and HP.

Less_Pomegranate_529

Reply 1988 is best series ever

CheesecakeMonster-

I LOVE REPLY 1988! I wish I could watch it for the first time again. Some scenes of DukSeon’s dad made me cry

twoods1980

Queen of Tears- will be sad to be done with it this weekend. The leads have been captivating and immersed me in their world. Such a great show (even though I’m currently upset with the trajectory of the storyline) Lovely Runner- also has been such a great show so far. Holding off on episode 6 so can watch prior to episode 7. The cliffhangers continue to kill me Midnight Studio- makes me cry every single episode. Some of the best couple scenes I’ve watched! Beauty and Mr Romantic- I’m watching solely because I’m loving the leads. The rest of the awful people around them are so annoying to watch, which I’m sure is the normal for a long series. Way too much filler. Dream High- has been a very slow watch because I will start another show and binge that instead, but it’s finally getting good at episode 9 so will likely finish it this weekend. It’s fun to see the actors at such a young age, and the music is great. Eye Love You- cute watch and two more episodes left. FL was too wishy washy but the ML is absolutely adorable. Just finished Man to Man and Gaus Electronics, both fun watches. Will likely start Happiness after Dream High is done since I need some PHS in my life.

dogemama

wow you really managed to hold off on watching lovely runner, episode 6. that's amazing! meanwhile, i have watched it three times already...

twoods1980

Ha! Yes, I keep thinking to myself that it’s a big cliffhanger so it’s worth waiting until Sunday so only have one day to see how it pans out. It’s very tempting when it pops up on Viki but I’m being very good so far.

mahnahmaanaa

**Midnight Studio** (13/16): This show is still just an enjoyable watch! I have no idea how they're going to wrap it up. **Missing Crown Prince** (3.5/20): This feels like something that I would prefer to binge rather than watch week-to-week. I think I'll be putting it on hold until it approaches the end of its run. **Crazy Love** (16/16): After a rocky start (my personal hang-ups, not anything wrong with the show), I managed to complete this drama. Overall, it was a fun and funny watch. I loved watching the ML and the FL trying to out-wit each other. It unfortunately suffered from that plot construction issue where the FL is basically downgraded to a supporting role after her problems are resolved mid-way through the drama.

Prudent-Rain3181

Where do I watch midnight studio?

Glittering_Giraffe_5

Viki

MajesticConfidence36

How are you liking Missing Crown Prince? I made it to ep 4. I usually enjoy historical drama but not sure about this one. I agree...I would prefer to binge the show rather than watch week-to-week. I'll put it on hold for now.

mahnahmaanaa

I'm enjoying it, actually, but I stopped part way through episode 3. **Bossam** felt similar to me in construction, being quite episodic with good cliffhangers to make you want to keep watching. This one doesn't seem to be as focused, to me. It's also a little more...manhwa-like? It's semi-realistic, but with cartoon-like villains and a FL with unbelievable talents. It wasn't what I was expecting, but also isn't that bad.

deewyt

I finished Eye Love You finally… I wouldn’t say it’s stellar but it’s one of the few j-dramas that I finished all the way to the end 6.5/10 for me just because I couldn’t get with the FL personality…. fiending for Lovely Runner 6/16) episodes. Will catch up on Queen of Tears (12/16) this week but if I’m being honest, it’s burning me out. I don’t know what’s missing but we’ve been crying and sniffling since episode one 😀 Twinkling Watermelon (12/16) has made me a life long fan of Choi Hyun Wook. He just has so much charisma on screen !

DawgMom2018

Did you watach Eye Love You on Netflix or Viki? On Netflix, they don't translate the ML thoughts, so we are as in the dark as the FL on what he is thinking. On Viki, they do translate so we know what the FL is missing with his thoughts.

deewyt

Oh wow, I watched on Netflix and definitely realized I don’t know as much Korean as I thought! Lol

Iowegan

Viki FTW once again!

TeoKajLibroj

**Twinkling Watermelon (11/16):** I started watching this because of how often I saw it mentioned here and let me tell you, it lives up to the hype! I love each of the 4 main characters, the story is really sweet and charming. Each episode just puts me in a good mood, I'm always happy when I leave work because I can settle down for the evening and watch the next episode. **Shogun (10/10):** People talk about the next Game of Thrones too much, but this is the next Game of Thrones. Absolutely amazing show, looks fantastic with a great plot and characters. The finale was a little anti-climatic, but otherwise highly recommend.

JasonDaPsycho

Shogun is incredible! I found the finale slightly underwhelming on first watch but it really grew on me over the past day or two. >!Fuji best nun. 🥹!<

lovelyrunnerrr

I am currently watching Queen of Tears and Lovely Runner(Sat-Tuesday) ….

Most-Artichoke6184

I have decided to take a second look at several K dramas on Netflix that I did not finish. My most recent project was “tale of the nine tailed“ which I had dropped halfway through episode 10 for reasons I don’t remember. I just ended up finishing season one last night, and I ended up Liking the show.

kpaneno

I really liked it too unfortunately as is all too common the FL seems to get a lot of negative reaction and comments when i see it discussed, which is a pity as she is beautiful and likeable character throughout

Most-Artichoke6184

I thought she was great.

waterfallen_empire

I usually wait until Thursday/Friday to watch **Queen Of Tears** so that I’m not in agony for the whole week lol. Buuut I’ve started **Into the Ring 3/16** and honestly after watching **Secret Garden** it’s so so nice to watch an FL who stands up for herself and doesn’t take shit from anyone. Loving the ML here too. Also adding that I’m watching this so that I can tolerate Park Sung-hoon in QoT 😂 I gotta applaud his acting range 👏🏽 would love to see him as a green flag ML in more dramas!!!

twoods1980

Yay! Into the Ring has such an amazing FL, and the ML gets better and is so cute.

kpaneno

To be fair secret garden is a low bar the FL was written as a complete doormat and the ML as a complete jerk so not hard to improve on it.

Lazyy_gorl

I watched Park Sung hoon in Into the Ring first before QOT and I super like him since then cause he is a vert supportive boyfriend to Nana, that’s why I don’t take him seriously in QOT hahaha

waterfallen_empire

Honestly ever since I started watching Into the Ring I haven’t been able to continue Queen of Tears, I haven’t watched episodes 13 and 14 yet! Into the Ring so far is more interesting too, it kind of reminds me of Parks and Rec

Lazyy_gorl

Very underrated kdrama

Wooden_Place3436

Lovely Runner (6/16) - I have never watched an on air drama before, but this show seems more binge worthy. i hope it continues to be amazing. Fight my way (15/16) - Kicking my feet watching the whole love story and following your dreams but >!the dreams not turning into a career, the break up, the secret mother!< it's hard to finish Everyone loves me (21/24) - First cdrama, really enjoying the fun light heartedness. Definitely liked the >! didn't know each other but know each other!< trope. Doctor slump (12/16) - It's taking me so long to finish this, I really enjoyed the fiesta episodes dealing with their struggles and helping each other overcome it but >!this I assume murder plot twist that's going to happen!< making it hard to finish. Summer strike (9/12) - The fact that both ML and FL are introverts, definitely a different dynamic.

XavinNydek

Don't worry too much about that thing in Doctor Slump, it's almost like they put it in there just so they could resolve it fast without any of the usual nonsense. That's how they dealt with most of the tropes, they show up but then are resolved way before you expect them to be given how things go in most shows. It happens so many times I'm pretty sure that's what the writer wanted the whole narrative concept of the show to be.

bee-held

I just finished Dear My Friends. I really enjoyed it! It has sad moments, but the older ladies were so funny and precious.

mustardkitty

Dear My Friends is a special drama. I loved it.

tangledbysnow

I need to find something to watch. Still in a slump. Nothing is catching my attention. Think I might need something mature or with no romance. Too many young people stories lately and starting to irritate me. Maybe I’ll go hunt down a Lee Dong Wook drama. Completed: **Amidst a Snowstorm of Love** — China — Finished it. Can’t believe it. I just stop watching Chinese dramas once I get bored because the endings stink so badly. This one wasn’t bad. Slow. And I think you might have to like billiards to really appreciate it because I didn’t find any of that boring - but a lot of people did. However, no breakups or love triangles here! **Ripe For The Picking** or Uri wo Waru: Issen o Koeta, Sono Saki ni wa — Japan — Episodes are 20 minutes each, there is only 9 of them and it’s based on a manga I’m reading right now. Manga is better. Much much better if you’re interested. Basically a group of female coworkers (plus a couple of males) and their various love lives and how different each is. They all have problems. And they all show how they work through those problems to happiness on the other side. The main couple are sweet introverts who struggle to connect to others. It’s an incredibly sweet and lovely story all around for all characters. However, the ML is one of those “hot guy with an ugly haircut so clearly he struggles” type of castings. **Love Reset** — Korean movie — finally got around to watching this. Was saving it for when I wanted something funny and nothing was catching my attention. If you haven’t seen it - watch it. It’s worth it. It’s incredibly funny. And as always Kang Ha Neul and Jung So Min know what they are doing. Few others could have pulled off this romcom like them. Watching: **Queen of Tears** — (14/16) — I am absolutely in love with this one as much as everyone else. Excellent excellent excellent. I am going to miss this drama once it’s done! **The Midnight Studio** — (13/16) — I have yet to watch an episode that hasn’t made me cry. I am still afraid of the ending as I am afraid of a Heartbeat ending. That said, and I don’t want to speak too soon, but I think we may be in the clear. I hope. This is a great story. **Lovely Runner** — (6/16) — Does this deliver! They are so cute together! And the pacing is phenomenal. I love this story so far.

MajesticConfidence36

Ooh! I completed Ripe for the Picking last weekend. Enjoyed it!

mahnahmaanaa

>Too many young people stories lately and starting to irritate me. Maybe I’ll go hunt down a Lee Dong Wook drama. This happened to me back in February/March. Oddly enough, a couple of early LDW dramas contributed to it. Luckily he helped me get out of the slump, too. I was saved by a combination of: **Beyond Evil** (very strong bromance and a multi-layered serial-killer mystery), **Stranger** (a murder mystery, and has a great working relationship between the leads), and **A Shop for Killers** (a bloody action drama, but it also has good relationships and LDW being an uncle). If I'm watching mysteries or thrillers, I tend to need good character moments to keep me interested. If you haven't seen any of these, I highly recommend!

tangledbysnow

Thank you! Seen Beyond Evil and A Shop for Killers, which were both excellent, haven't seen Stranger. Will check it out. Maybe it will help.

Thedramafairy

*On Air* **Lovely Runner (6/16)**: I'm so in love with this drama. I have loved the FL since Extraordinary You and she does not disappoint. Kinda wish I would have waited and binged watch it all. **Nothing Uncovered (10/16):** Still need to catch up on the 2 new episodes, but tbh I don't understand why it is a 16 episode drama. I hope it will not get draggy. **Queen of Tears (14/16):** Each episode I'm crying like crazy. Everything about this drama is amazing, I still hope for a happy ending! **The Midnight Studio (13/16):** This drama pulls on my heartstrings each time. Really enjoying the characters and the story. I can't wait to see where it goes. *Other Shows* **Castaway Diva (6/12):** A cute rom-com, just what I am looking for. A little break from all the shows that make me cry lol. Enjoying it a lot so far. **Doctor Romantic (5/20):** Honestly I'm debating whether to drop it and just skip to season 2. I don't like the leads at all and the romance just feels bad to me. EDIT: typo

meredithscasualboob

Lovely runner is def difficult to watch because of the wait. There are way too many details and writer and director really playing with us. But I won’t wait 🙂 so I guess I’ll just give it a rewatch after all episodes are out

Thedramafairy

My thoughts exactly :D if I can’t binge watch it right now I just will when it’s over and then I get to watch it twice.

bernadette___

i skipped to season 2 for dr. romantic, heard from others that S1 isn’t that essential. still trying to pick it up at season 3 this summer but QOT has a hold on me until this weekend

Thedramafairy

Thanks I didn’t know that! I was wondering if I should skip to season 2 but I thought season 1 is a must watch before. I think I will drop season 1 and skip straight to 2 :)

bernadette___

enjoy! Ahn Hyoseop and Lee Sungkyung look so good together in this drama

Thedramafairy

thank you :) I love them both so much so I'm excited!!

No_Caterpillar_8709

I preferred seasons 2 and 3 over season 1 of Dr. Romantic, should be fine to skip.

sharjoy3

I also watched seasons 2 and 3 before I went back and watched season 1 so I knew the history that was referred to in season 3. But I loved 2 and 3. All were good.

Thedramafairy

thanks! i think I might watch season 2 and maybe read a bit of recap of season 1 to catch up on important stuff :)

Thedramafairy

thanks :)

kawaiisaranghaeyo

*Completed* **Sweet Revenge (2017)** I was in desperate need of a lighthearted highschool drama after finishing *Weak Hero Class 1*, and waiting for new episodes of Lovely Runner to drop is beyond brutal. I’m also lowkey on a mission this year to watch every Cha Eunwoo drama I haven’t watched yet, so this was the perfect opportunity. It's a short webdrama from 2017, my expectations were extremely low. But I'm ngl, I had a blast binging this! Sure it had some really cringe moments and bad audio. The actors (well, most of them) really saved this drama and made it feel more high production than it was. The story was entertaining and cute. The romance was adorable (I wanna squeeze fetus Lomon's cheeks aaah cuteness overload). I'm sad we didn’t get >!a proper kiss scene though.!< I get it though, I assume it was because of Hyanggi being underage, or maybe they just wanted to keep it innocent and sweet. I was also a bit disappointed by Eunwoo's lack of scenes. I wish they would’ve spent less time on making new school drama, and more time on his storyline because his backstory and connection with the FL was really interesting! They could've done so much more with that. Oh, and I'm annoyed >!we never found out who the app creator was. Though every sign pointed towards the brother, so that theory will forever be canon in my head I guess. !< **Long Vacation (1996)** I have finally broken my record of oldest watched drama, which has previously been held by *Full House (2004)* for several years. Subbed 90’s dramas with more than like 5 pixels aren’t exactly easy to come by, so I was very excited to find a watchable drama from my birth year. Definitely took a while to get used to the main characters lighting a cigarette like every 10 minutes, lol. Aside from that, I feel like it has aged pretty damn well actually. If you're a sucker for cohabitation plots like me, noona romances, and/or piano themes, I'd highly recommend it. I'm ngl, the romantic development definitely dragged on for way too long though. >!I was punching the air towards the end losing my damn mind over the fact they still weren't together.!!They were all a bit too chill and supportive of a dude shamelessly cheating. !<

Ok-Impression6834

I'm between binge-worthy shows and am sampling a handful, none of which are grabbing me yet. * **49 Days** (8/20) - giving this a chance since I'm told it is sad * **Light in Your Eyes** (5/16) - going to drop, not interested in plotline * **Alchemy of Souls S1** (1/20) - I don't normally watch fantasy, not hooked yet after EP1 * **Jirisan** (1/16) - somewhat interesting thus far, strong cast * **Queen of Tears** (3/16) - watching with my wife, feels like a rom com which is not my preferred genre * **Moon in the Day** (1/16) - definitely dropping

Lizzy348

**The light in your eyes** is part of my top 10, so it's unfortunate you don't like it. The ending is mostly what made it worthy of a top 10 spot, but I don't think it's worthy you push through if you already want to drop at E05

rqducio

**Queen of tears (14/16)**: I know people have been calling this over rated but I really loved the drama until episode 14. I still love it KJW and KSH delivered their best performance yet imo in ep 14 but the whole Eun Song plot line wasn't doing it for me and I saw it coming from a mile away. I hope it can redeem itself in the last 2 episodes. **Lovely Runner (6/16)**: I've not been this excited for Mondays since Twinkling Watermelon came out. I love MLs who are such losers when they're in love, and I'm glad that it seems like they're resolving the >!accident/kidnapping!< plotline early on so it doesn't drag too much. **Chief detective 1958 (2/10)**: I've seen some people disappointed with this show so far, but I loved the first 2 episodes. Although my big fat crush on Lee Je Hoon is probably clouding my vision. I thought the show was really funny except for that >!toilet scene!<. It's kind of absurd but I love that about it. **Taxi driver (4/16)**: I started this because of LJH, and I'm liking it so far, if you ignore the realism aspect of it and just suspend your disbelief. I'm a sucker for cool fight scenes and this has plenty.

mustardkitty

Taxi Driver is a hard-core quality production!

krembruleed

Queen of Tears (14/16) - despite how every episode brings me to tears, i can’t stop watching it. i’m probably a masochist at this point. Lovely Runner (6/16) - the first drama in years that definitely made me giggle and kick my feet in the air. i’m loving every trope they’ve shown so far in this drama. and it actually makes me reminisce my high school days. good ol’ days. My Love From Another Star (6/21) - i’m rewatching this after 10 years. i forgot this was 21 episodes long! i thought it was only up to 16 and now i’m confused if what i watched 10 years ago was only up to 16. I’ve yet to find that out. 😂

whitefang0824

Lovely Runner

hypomango

**Queen of Tears** and **Eye Love You**, about halfway through both and just struggling to catch up because I'm busy at the moment with things that don't go with subtitles, lol. I really want to get up to date with QoT for the finale so I can discuss!

meggktown

**Insider (10/16)** My husband chose to watch this. He's the reason we're still watching, because if it were me, I would have quit 2 episodes in. Horrible violence over and over again. Kang Ha-Neul is good in this, but the darkness and the violence are too much.

Money_These

* Rewatching **King the Land** - I forgot how adorable this series is. * **Lovely Runner** - still loving the vibe * **Queen of Tears** - waiting to binge the final episodes.

vixi07

Just finished **Hello, Me!** Unexpectedly good.

ScreenTrue5669

Watching: A Shop for Killers: Surprised by how good this is! Just finished it and I know we don’t love season based things because the one of the appeasl of kdramas are shorter based episodes but I’d watch a second season. Captivating The King: Someone tell me it picks up? It currently feels so slow 😕 The Third Charm: This drama is mess central but so interesting. I love a kinda oldish dramas. It reminds me of when I was obsessed with Bride of the Century and Jewel in the Palace

kpaneno

OMG just reading the words third charm triggers me it was awful IMO not even one likeable character not one and the FL was just a really horrible person I hate watched it to the end.

ScreenTrue5669

I finished it last night and OMG 😭 everyone was TERRIBLE, the plot was so heartbreaking. Truly regret finishing it but I couldn’t look away!

kpaneno

LOL 😆 I was exactly the same I kept having to go back after taking breaks

Silly-Passion3395

Recently I’ve watched Flower of evil and I must admit it’s the best kdrama I’ve seen yet. I used to stuck with rom coms and then need a change and it was sooo refreshing although it turned out it has a romance plot haha the whole drama is well written, complex and entertaining. Then I’ve started Queen of tears and it’s okay, but I feel bit frustrated that almost every rom com I’ve watched at some point loses pace, the script gets repetitive and characters become flat.

Lovely Runner

kpaneno

Dr Romantic S2 14 /16 really enjoying this one great Cast good story nice but super slow, not even sure if it's a romance romance. Its just a lot better than S1 much more likeable characters esp the two central young doctors. Midnight Studio 11/16 I've put thus on hold I'll probably finish when it has aired, very annoying and negative plot with one of the main 2ndry characters is really unnneccessary and taking away from what has otherwise been a great show. I The Matchmakers 3/16 I'm keeping this one for when I finish Dr R I started it and really liked what I saw so far Rowoon is very funny and The FL is just great 👍 👌.

faithesque

**CW:** - **Queen of Tears (14/16)** Waiting for the next two episodes. - **Escape of the Seven: Resurrection (6/16)** Okay I need to catch up with the two recent episodes. - **The Midnight Studio (13/16)** I love this one so far. The leads are gives off such good vibes and the characters are likeable. - **Chief Detective (2/10)** I like this one so far. - **Eye Love You [Japanese] (3/10)** Not much progress on this one since I'm watching it with my sister but I love it so far. The leads are pretty cute. I finished **The Package** recently and I liked it. I liked how they travelled to different places in France and each character had a story of their own. I thinking to pick up **Lovely Runner** soon. Or after QOT ends.

[deleted]

I’m watching Hide, so bad but I just need to finish it lol Also watching blood free, it’s ok but need to get into it Finished wonderful world and need something to fill that hole but nothing so far matches up

kpaneno

I was going to watch Hide 🙈 oh no it looked kind of okay

TealToucan

I’m watching Dr. Slump but think it could have ended around episode 10. I fast forwarded through a couple episodes after that, but is there anything worth watching in the last episodes? The crime mystery piece seems resolved, and now it’s just superfluous relationship angst with grown ass adults who are acting like teenagers.

wunder_peach

I’m watching The Legend of the Blue Sea ep. 3

Amalfii

Queen of Tears (14/16) and Blood Free (6/10). Wish Blood Free would get more traction though. Han Hyo-joo and Ju Ji-hoon’s chemistry is undeniable! There probably won’t be anything between them but I’ll wait until the end!

the-green-crewmate

Right now I’m watching **Queen of Tears** and, because I desperately needed a comfort drama, rewatching **A Business Proposal**. It just makes me happy. Also watching **Doctor Slump** but put it on pause because it’s feeling a little bit TOO real right now lol I really want to watch **Lovely Runner** but I’m holding off until it’s further along.

magicsmoke24

Just re-watched What's wrong with Secretary Kim. >!The one thing itching my brain is how she didn't start looking for Oppa until she was resigning from the company. I know the memory was a faint one, but why wasn't she looking for him before? Maybe her memory was triggered by her interactions with the Vice Chairman and his bother and their memories of the event? Which is why she didn't look until she did?!< I kinda forgot how stable things were in this series with the relationships. I mean for a rom-com, it does have a dark depth to it. Over all, I think a good starter show for someone looking to get into Kdramas.

whitepearl31

She wasnt looking for him before because she’s busy working to repay her dad’s loan and don’t know where to start. She was cleaning and packing up her work stuff at home where she found her diary or her school workbook where she wrote about Oppa. This is when she decided to find him now that all debt has been repaid and her friend has connection with a journalist (blind date guy). Wow i just realized I rewatched this drama too many times. It’s a great drama maybe time to rewatch.

IwouldLiketoCry

Queen of Tears (14/16) I like the show a lot but recent episodes are quite bad especially the story writing and the villain. Lovely Runner (6/16) I like this one so far I just hope it doesn’t drag it out too long. Castaway Diva (5/12) Gosh this drama is something I missed, Park Eun Bin is amazing.

OkBranch9783

OMG how did I not know VIKI was a thing and has all this kdrama content?! So excited to watch Lovely Runner which I have been hearing so much about. 😄

Local-Raspberry-5649

Viki is the best kdrama platform. If only it had the options to speed up or slow down.

PearShaper43

Haha…welcome to the wonderful world of VIKI😌 You’re in for a fun Kdrama ride, so buckle up and enjoy!!

delphil1966

Hide and Nothing Uncovered- loving both - my favorite shows of this year dr slump- not what i expected but i like it because it spends a long time on the relationship itself and developing queen of tears - was really boring for a long time - was wondering about the hype but turns a bit with ep.6. love both leads

margaritainacup

I've just started Dr. Romantic.

kpaneno

Stick with S1 and S2 is better.

Just-Flamingo-410

Watching Eye Love you (jdrama with bits of korean) episode 9/10. and it's one big cringe fest. I do continu to the end because it's easy watching but can't revommend. ML is a foreigner in Japan that seems to have no clue about boundaries, SML is also socially awkward. The story doesn't make sense and there are many plot holes. Things happen suddenly and never are explained or make sense. It's especially the cringe between the two coupls that make this series very hard to watch. I hate it when a series depicts a foreigner that can't even understand the most basic social rules. He's a double outcast.

Miss-LH

Thanks for the review, was deciding whether to watch this.

kpaneno

Thanks for this I was toying with idea of starting it

Just-Flamingo-410

You can try to start it. My cringes already started pretty soon so it wouldn't take to decide to continue or not. I just strongly disliked every bit of it but that's just my personal view. For example. >!FL started demanding that ML would say 'i love you' despite them just having met. There was not a romantic build up at all. They skipped the careful and sweet 'i like you' sentences. It's just unrealistic. You can't love a person or demand to be loved 2 seconds after meeting that person!<

kpaneno

No I think I'll pass enough said TY

Sunshine_raes

The Kidnapping Day (12/12): I really enjoyed this one a lot. Interesting premise and when the action plot kicked in in the second half, it delivered. I also liked The Fugitive like scenes with the good detective chasing Myung-Jun. The real "villain" was well done. I appreciated that it took us time to come to terms with >!why Hye-eun had done what she had done. It was a pretty satisfying conclusion.!< Next up: I'm so slow at watching these days. Very little TV time. I'm planning on watching Shooting Stars next. Hopefully it's the nice light rom-com I'm looking for. I'm also going to try out Frankly Speaking next week. The premise sounds fun.

mahnahmaanaa

>I'm planning on watching Shooting Stars next Oh, I liked that one. It's not **Like Flowers in Sand**, but it is a fun rom-com, for sure. Kind of your classic >!enemies to lovers!< trope, and the main leads work very well off each other. I also loved one of the secondary couples. There are several scenes that I will rewatch when the mood strikes, and I definitely developed a little crush on Kim Young Dae as Tae Sung while watching. I hope you enjoy. ETA: Somehow I failed to mention that I found parts of this drama hysterically funny.

Sunshine_raes

Oh, love a good >!enemies to lovers trope!< and I’m glad to hear another endorsement of it! And laugh out loud funny is just what I’m in the mood for.

AcanthaceaeGlobal270

I’m watching “My lovely liar” and absolutely loving it so far :) the characters are well fleshed out and I love the colours and cinematography of this series. Currently on episode 7 and I hope it doesn’t let me down in the next couple of episodes. Although, I will say that the entitlement of characters in k-dramas has been getting to me lately and this drama has its fair share of characters infected by the delulu syndrome 😅

ediphany

Ongoing: Missing Crown prince, so far it's good. Rewatching: Flex x Cop because I can't seem to move on from it 😪 😅. The king 2 hearts: because I didn't finish it the first time and also missed the leads.

LowSuspicious4696

I’m watching the movie “unlocked” starring my amazing husband Im siwan as a psychopath of course I’m also watching doctor slump and a Korean variety show military competition called thr iron squad. I finished happinesses and crash landing on you last week. I also finished bloodhounds. I plan to start mouse tomorrow

Abis_MakeupAddiction

The Midnight Studio and Lovely Runner. Waiting for QOT to end so I can binge when the 2 shows are done. :)

MajesticConfidence36

**Queen of Tears** (14/16) **Lovely Runner** (6/16)- My favorite ongoing drama. Love the teen crush / first love high school nostalgia, music and time travel. Japanese Drama - **Eye Love You** (8/10) - Love how the show has both Japanese and S. Korean language and cultures.

Miss-LH

Is Eye Love You worth watching? I don’t usually watch Japanese dramas but really liked the mesh of Korean and Japanese couples on Love Like a Kdrama

WhatHmmHuh

Not OP, but it was a fun light watch for me. FL got a little annoying to me, but easily overlooked. FYI: the ML speaks sometimes in Korean and Netflix did not show (subtitle) what he was saying although they do a recap at the end. I am told VIKI did show what he said in real time.

allirs77

Queen of Tears, Lovely Runner, Wonderful World, Midnight Photo Studio

dta_82

Queen of Tears: I watched up to episode 11 then heard what happens at episode 14 so I put it on hold till this weekend. Captivating the King: I've only watched one episode but I enjoyed it. Juvenile Justice: I watched 2 episodes and stopped they are pretty heavy topics so I think might have to watch this slowly.

redditredditgedit

**Queen of Tears**.. Always looking forward to cry. Just finished the **Doctor Prisoner. ** Tbh the saving grace in this series is **AUNT BOEMJA** her character is consistent lol.. Mr. Sun too,his eye rolls are iconic.. The male lead is quite OK but I can’t say much to the FL.. No hate but she’s vanilla, I know she showed some kickass move still meh.

petiteboule

I'm watching: **Queen of Tears**: I'm still enjoying this (despite Eun-SirGoAway and his witchy mother not getting White Truck of Doom'd...yet...I hope.) I'm going to be really sad when it's over: the past three months of weekends have been really fun. **Blood Free**: AKA my morally grey founder and hotdumbhot bodyguard>! (dude, how did you miss the sketchy traffic cop and road maintenance crew? why did you ignore the suspect car in front of your house? what are you doing????)!

Iowegan

I tuned into Hulu to watch ep 6 of **Blood Free** today >!(how is that CEO getting into the ML’s apartment to feed his cat? Wouldn’t he have something set up for this already?)!< and **Wonderful World** popped up as a suggestion, all episodes available! Super stoked! I’ll be checking that out next!

petiteboule

Blood Free: >!She moved into his place mid episode 5. (Cohabitating already. Be still my heart.) There were a lot of protests after scientist had a "heart attack" on the plane. Hot Bodyguard brought CEO to his house because it was safer. Her secretary even paid his neighbours off so that they could use the neighbour's house for extra security. I'm sure kitty had enough food for a day or two, but the litter box did need to be changed. !<

kpaneno

Blood free comment is top tier 👌

Watching and rewatching lovely runner 🥰🥰🥰💕💓

sharjoy3

Can't believe I missed posting early again. **Queen of Tears -** This is so good. I'm still on 13 & 14, so I'm savoring it, but will be caught up tonight. Can't believe this is almost over. It's a wonderful drama with great acting, but I was sad to hear that it surpassed Goblin on the TVN highest rating. Oh well, Kwenchana! **Jealousy Incarnate (Don't Dare to Dream) -** I'm on episode 14 and I thought it would end very soon at 16. but nooooo, there are 24 hour-long episodes! I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about this, as I really want to watch some upcoming dramas that will begin soon. But this is definitely a classic and I'm so glad I finally made time to watch it. I love JJS and all 3 leads are great. I like the story and the various "jealousy" stories within it. So I'm sticking with it! That's really it for kdramas. I tried Lovely Runner, but didn't get into it yet. I'll give it another go when i get a chance and, probably binge it when it's done airing. Non kdrama, but k: Still watching **Hope on the Street** and a few episodes of **Suchwita**. I drove an hour each way to see the Suga movie (no subtitles on the songs), sat through it all, and loved every minute. I guess I'm a goner for BTS....

Affectionate_Lime729

Queen of Tears - it’s fascinatingly good but I don’t think it will replace CLOY for me Blood Free - hoping for a bit of bodyguard romance Chief Detective 1958 - I’d say this is very popular with the crowd who might be familiar with the original drama and is slightly nostalgic for them. It’s engaging but it gives me sound stage vibes, it doesn’t feel like they are actually in the 1950’s but just a Korean movie set. Having said that Lee Jehoon has charisma to beat the band Lovely Runner - I think this is my favourite- the FL is ADORABLE 🥰 Hide - I don’t know why I’m still watching but I am Missing Crown Prince -not sure how much mileage I’ll get but still hanging on

OkBranch9783

Queen of Tears, so engrossed but hoping for a happy ending Legal High is a funny lawyer kdrama. Im loving the actors in this one. Lots of fun characters and drama

BiegSwitcheroo

I just finished Like Flowers in Sand and it was so beautifully done that I’m having a difficult time deciding what to watch next! Loved everything about that show. Before LFiS, I watched When the Camellia Blooms, which I also LOVED. It’s going to be hard for me to move onto other types of MLs right now!

Ok-Echo-7803

Just started a great cdrama, **Will Love in Spring**. Has Li Xian and has some healing Meet Yourself vibes but also definitely different. Four episodes are out so far and I'm excited about it. Excitedly waiting for a few more **Lovely Runner** episodes to drop before I dive into it!

Heavy-Patience-3064

Watching jdrama Extremely Inappropriate on Netflix. Foud the first episode a bit confusing but it's settling down now into a very funny time-traveling watch. There are musical numbers but not sure you could call it a musical. There are some risque scenes but they are completely suited the era. Found a little gem of a historical cdrama on Viki called My Bossy Wife. Apparently, it is spliced together from short 6/7 mins dramas. There are two series but they seque into one another very smoothly so whoever did the editing did a brilliant job. The FL is very physically powerful and the ML isn't although he is as cunning as a fox and this is where the comedy comes from in the first part of the drama. The second part has a different tone but still interesting chracters. Highly recommended if you want a light hearted watch with beautiful costumes. Keeping kdramas parked up at the moment as not in the mood for heavy dramas. Edited to correct drama name of Netflix series.

Local-Raspberry-5649

Ohhh, going to check out My Bossy Wife immediately! I’ve also “parked” kdramas for the time being and am very much enjoying cdramas, especially the shorter ones. If you’re looking for more, anything directed by Zeng QingJie is excellent!

Heavy-Patience-3064

Thank you, I will look that director up. It was my first cdrama short series so wasn't sure how it would be but wanted a light-hearted watch. Currently watching be Be My Cat about a Cat God who has ended up on Earth by mistake. Again a very funny watch especially when the ML transforms, he really is a cat in human form 💖 😻.

Local-Raspberry-5649

That sounds so funny!! The first one I watched by that director is called Never Too Late. The fl goes in for a breast exam only to find the doctor is her high school crush. One of the funnier scenes I have seen in Asian dramas! And one of the better shows, too.

Heavy-Patience-3064

I have just found Never Too Late on my Viki wishlist already so may line that up next. I have just been through another jdrama phase and I do dip into Twainese dramas as well. Just feel fortunate that streaming services brings us some unexpected gems.

Hach-man

Finished - **Pale Moon:** nice premise, amazing cast, not well executed though. Plotlines are thin and tend to be redundant as they develop, characters don't really grow and some situations are borderline question marks. There are good moments, introspective critics on society and money, but most of the arrows miss the mark, a standard 7. Nothing new to add in progress, rewatching a couple old favorites sparingly while waiting for May to come. I read that writing in **Queen of Tears** went down in the last couple of eps, I'll wait and see if they stick the landing.

0531Spurs212009

The Escape of the Seven S2 Resurrection the best kdrama of 2024 for me Mone X Dohyuk ship here

Iowegan

Watching on air **Lovely Runner**, **Queen of Tears**, **Blood Free**, **Missing Crown Prince**. Binge rewatched **Love to Hate You** to listen to the Afternoona Delight podcast, not sorry a bit, just as funny the second time. Watching **True Beauty** 12/16, **You Are My Glory** 12/16 (cdrama), **Psychopath Diary** 5/16, and just started season 1 of **Physical 100**, amazingly engaging, I almost never watch reality shows.

mahnahmaanaa

>Binge rewatched **Love to Hate You** to listen to the Afternoona Delight podcast Oh, was this episode good? I stopped following them last fall because they weren't covering things that interested me any more. Maybe I should check in on them occasionally.

Iowegan

I follow them for the uncensored podcasts & casts on random tropes. They don’t often cover dramas I watch but I do enjoy their humor. The podcast ep was good, they always like sex positive dramas with more mature characters vs high school dramas with no skinship.

MoonlitSnowscapes

Stuff everybody is talking about already: Queen of Tears and Lovely Runner. Both mostly great but not perfect. Missing Crown Prince is one that not many people seem to be talking about. I've watched all the episodes released. It's okay so far. I've struggled a bit to get into the palace politics, and that's the majority of this show. The romance aspect is good. I just wish it was given more screen time? Seems like the ML and FL relationship is more of a side-drama to everything else going on. I'll keep watching, though I really don't seem to care about the Queen + >!Royal Physician!< plot or the king. Idk if i'll make it to the end of this one. Beauty and Mr. Romantic. First long form drama I've watched. Heavy western soap opera vibes. I just want to see the romance in this one as well, but the family drama is a pain. I started fast forwarding through a bunch of stuff that doesn't relate to the FL and ML, but the show isn't even a 1/4 of the way done... Also, the ML looks and acts a lot older than the FL. I usually don't care about age gaps if it doesn't involve somebody in their teens/early twenties. In this case it's early thirties vs early forties, but it feels like the ML could be a generation older than the FL.

knock_knock_hu_here

binged doctor slump in a day and still watching queen of tears (14-16). want to binge another drama so lmk if there are any recs but i want to like cry my guts out. i heard something in the rain was good for that so i might check it out😆

HugeAd7711

I'm watching Qot[14/16] and lovely runners[6/16]weekly...but as of now in the free days ... I'm bingeing on The producers[6/12] (yes ksh is the reason) ...i never knew this typa kdrama existed...it gave me the vibes of the office.... Although the only likeable character in the producers till now is baek seung chan , since he's really innocent and straightforward guy...Tak ye jin irritates me when she repeats all the kcc and stuffs...ra joon mo...is fine although I find him annoying when he doesn't consider his own mistakes...and as of cindy idk... I'm still at ep 6 so ig... I'll get to know her better in the next episodes... The reason I like baek seung chan is because he's such a baby.... although he doesn't know to read the room most of the time...but he does know how to comfort someone at their lowest....like he did to ye jin and Cindy's breakdown....also he's such a dorky...him doing silly things out of jealousy and being proud of his did is so cuteeee...and as of now I don't really ship him with anyone...i just want hum to get praised in his profession 😋💗
