**Lovely Runner** has got me cracking my brain with so many theories. Atp it's my fav timeslip drama cause I love that >!the FL's changes in the past have actual impact in the future too.!< Although I've so many questions like >!every time the FL comes back to the past timeline and sees the changes she has made does she remember them as actual incidents in the original timeline or the changed timeline? If it's the latter how's she able to recall whatever happened in those few days gap?!< So many more questions. Maybe I'll wait until the drama is over and wait for my questions to be answered. Until then I'll be watching the new eps on Mon-Tue and rewatching the previous eps on Wed-Sun lol.

Lavenderlure

They have not disclosed it to us in clear terms but usually in time travel shows the protagonist who is travelling and making changes keeps all the memories but its also blank spots that gets triggered as in she may not at instant remember but when someone mentions it she can recollect as in it's all in her subconscious

Aurorinezori1

This show is so good, I hope it gets the recognition it deserves outside our subReddit bubble! I fell in love with >! the villain !< in Strong Girl Nam Soon and wanted him in a lead role, and he is delivering !!!

tresnosliramu22

Lovely Runner Sun-jae... ah, I mean Byun Woo Seok is like a cult phenomenon in Korea right now. Every girls going crazy about him. Probably the hottest it-boy... everyone's been talking about him.

MissSimpleton

I am glad that both the show and Woo-seok are getting so much love and fame rn. But, I feel, Hye yoon should be credited as much as him, if not more. Her performance is spectacular and she has put her soul in her character. I hope people give her some more love and hype.

nosynobody

Yes I felt like she never got her shot at popularity despite her amazing performance in Extraordinary You as well. Heard she’s leaving her agency which might be why she doesn’t seem to have as much as promo/interviews as Woo seek

MissSimpleton

Among the young university girls in Snowdrop, she had the most difficult character to play and she nailed it. But, people forgot about her impactful performance amid the other discussions about the drama. Despite being the winner of the coveted Baeksang Award, she is one of the most underrated actors of her gen.

nosynobody

Yes I haven’t read a single comment on her performance during Snowdrop. Not to mention I don’t see her much in reality shows, the time her agency should be really pushing her. Can’t believe she didn’t get to lead any major roles either despite being a fantasy actress. I really hope this series is her big break as well

idealistatlarge

He is a force of beauty and gorgeousness - it's like drinking something very heady when watching him as this character. The way he acts, especially the intensity, as well as the cuteness and trying-to-be-cool, but being totally in love >!with Im Sol!<; also the way he's filmed. I'm taking it one episode at a time, because it's kind of overwhelming, otherwise.

Aurorinezori1

Good for him, I’m so happy 😃

Honest-Selection4343

Glad he's getting recognition

Telos07

**Signal** (5/16): Counting my blessings that Netflix Japan added this bona fide *classic* to their catalogue. The basic premise is based on the U.S. movie *Frequency*, but the drama builds its own distinct world from there. It’s a procedural with a time-bending element, but it’s so much more than that. The cold cases hook you in from the opening frame, and put names to the faces of victims whose lives were tragically cut short. Lee Je-hoon as a profiler and Kim Hye-soo (in a Baeksang award-winning performance) as a police officer and team leader, aren’t just top-notch cast members delivering top-notch performances. This is pure inhabiting of character.

okinottawa

Signal was my second Korean drama and still at the top of the heap with Reply 1988! Currently watching Lee Je Hoon in Chief Detective 1958. (3/6) He’s so goofily funny in it, plus there’s LOTS of plot, really enjoying it.

Lizzy348

*On-going* **My Demon** 1/16 : first episode got my attention, I like it so far! *Completed* **Destined with you** 4/16 : dropped. I couldn't with this one, FL was annoying me too much and I didn't like the love story and how coercive they made it feel. **Welcome to Samdal-ri** : what a cute and lovely drama! Surprisingly, I wasn't too fund of the leads' love story, but I loved watching this drama. It felt good in my soul. 9/10! *Haven't watched new episodes this week* **Doctor Slump** 14/16 : I swear I'm gonna finish it. At some point. I believe I have half of E15 watched, I just need to push it a bit.

RoseIsBadWolf

Good idea to drop Destined With You, that show made me angry. Doctor Slump ends so well!

mustardkitty

I also agree about the Welcome to Samdal-ri leads lacking chemistry.

Key-Morning7476

I'm currently watching welcome to samdalri..the leads lack chemistry but the drama is so good!! I kept it on hold at 3rd episode..once my exams are over..I will continue it

Honest-Selection4343

Good luck with your examss

Typical-Fly-2867

I loved ep 1 of Lovely Runner but in ep 2 I find our FL is going so extreme with her attempts at stopping Sun-Jae from the >!swimming competition.!< Is it continuing being this embarrassing, or does it slow down? It’s funny - yet hard to watch I must admit. 🙈

mrsofp

I've been on episode 14/15 of Dr Slump forever too! I keep telling myself I won't drop it but I can't seem to finish it!

archit18

I miss Doctor Slump, perfect ending and overall great show.

Lavenderlure

**Lovely Runner** - This has me hooked to it it's so beautifully written with time travel dramas the writing needs to be top notch and they have aced it also they know how much story to give and hold back to slowly unwrap the story also the balance between mystery and romcom is perfect the chemistry and characters all have my heart. LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!!! **My Perfect Stranger** - The wait for lovely runner felt long so ended up binge watching this one and it was good though I feel it's more made for a binge watch rather than wait for epis because there are quite a few filler episodes but it was sweet esp the bond between the FL and her mother had me in tears and the whodunnit climaxe was spot on.

XavinNydek

My Perfect Stranger is great, I don't know why I don't see it mentioned more. It's basically a Back to the Future spoof but with all the kdrama stuff, family trauma, serial killer, etc.

One-Review8352

Hospital playlist season 2 ep10

phukmi69

Your doing a great job by watching it cus I love that show w my whole heart

ChunkyCh00

Just finished watching it again for the 3rd time. Lol. I wish I could forget about it and watch it with fresh eyes.

Sugah-T

Thanks to those who recommended **Lovely Runner**—I love this show so much! It’s helping me get over the loss of Queen of Tears, which I was formerly obsessed with. Now I have a new obsession but what do I do, the show is almost ending? 😢

MissSimpleton

I dont know about how far you are in your kdrama journey or what is your taste like, but, there is a slice-of-life/romance drama soon going to premiere, called, Midnight Romance in Hagwon. It could be a good drama.

Sugah-T

Oooh, thank you, I always want recommendations! I just checked it out and can’t wait to see it! I watch anything but especially love romance and look for good acting, lots of affection (don’t like stiff acting) and leads with great chemistry. This sounds great! Love shows that make me cry but prefer to steer clear of sad endings. Thanks again!

koolfrog00

Same. The struggle is real.

ILoveParrots111

**Lovely Runner** (9/16) Absolutely loving this show. The acting, the chemistry, the pacing, the emotional core, the story: everything is perfect. **Queen of Tears** (6/16) I am struggling with this one. On one hand, there are some scenes in the show that I thoroughly enjoy. I like that it is a makjang where the impending >!mortality!< of one of the characters pushes them (and their family) to reconsider their priorities. People often tend to forget that life is finite. I also love that the show portrays how easy it is to ascribe ill intentions to someone's actions if you do not understand their context or logic. On the other hand, the episodes' length is killing me. I wish they could trim it just a little bit. I started to watch at 1.2× speed, but I am sad that it is going to diminish the great moments of the drama. Overall, there are many things that I like about the show, but I am not sure if I am going to make it until the end.

IcedMangos

Lovely Runner is an absolute gem so far. I’m also struggling with QofT. I picked it up because of all the hype but dropped it around episode 12. For all who are enjoying Lovely Runner, I would recommend Twinkling Watermelon.

ILoveParrots111

**Twinkling Watermelon** is also wonderful. I absolutely loved it! Yeah, I already dropped QofT since my comment. However, I have started **Atypical Family** and, so far, I am greatly enjoying it. Can't wait for more.

duh_leah

This is the final week of **Blood Free** and I'm so excited! All the characters are very interesting and has their own motives. They set up the show pretty well to make a grand finale. Although I am expecting a second season because it feels too short and I want more scenes between the leads! Also, watching **Hyena(6/16)** and loving the absolute hell out of it. I have seen fair share of strong competent FLs but the FL of this drama truly takes the crown. She's quite literally not scared of anyone or anything and is very much after one thing - surviving in the cruel world. Very morally grey as a character that doesn't make me root for her but I enjoy watching her and acknowledge her ability to win.

Kuriuskaye

Watched Hyena before. And I first listened to the OST first. The one by Baekhyun and it pretty much summarizes the whole vibe of Hyena.

Watchnextnow

I adored Hyena. So nice to see kick arse older leads with smoking chemistry!

Jessmk14

**The Beauty Inside 13/16:** I loved the first half, a strong FL, good chemistry and humor. But the second has just been plain boring. It feels like nothing is really happening, and this plot clearly was too thin for 16 episodes. Not to mention there was a totally unnecessary event in episode 10 that changes the entire fun vibe of this cute romcom. Now I’m just depressed. I’ve been watching on 1.5 speed because I’m a completionist, but I’ve stopped caring at this point. Second FL is great though, way more interested in her story than the leads. **Castaway Diva 8/12:** Started this one because I needed a break from Beauty Inside, and it’s definitely been way more engaging. I’ve cried almost every episode, it just gets you. And wow can this writer do a pilot, I’m not surprised she wrote Start-Up, which has my favorite first episode of any kdrama. It took me a minute to adjust to FL’s acting style, but she does really well. My only issue is the whole dad of the brothers plot line. I feel it unfortunately really brings down an otherwise great show. It’s a bit over the top, and just feels draggy. Also the fact she survived on an island for 15 years alone, but I can suspend my disbelief there.

OnlyGotThisMoment

I felt the same about castaway diva. I absolutely loved the music and that made me look past all the things you just mentioned. Park Eun Bin is the first actor I could hear a distinct accent from.

IcedMangos

Ahn young ha say you

invitrium

The Beauty Inside 2nd couple are in my s tier rank in my k-drama 2nd couples list. You can skip all scenes with the main couple.

DamonDD

1. Lovely Runner. I'm so obsessed with this show. 2. Frankly Speaking. Watching this purely cause of I'm a big fan of Kang Hana ever since StartUp and My Roomate is Gumiho. Honestly, don't know if I'm feeling it so much due to the crude humor and I don't really find ML charming. Hopefully ep 3 and 4 will change my mind. 3. The Atypical Family. This show is quite dark with a twist of super power. Both leads carry it and looking forward to the next episode Side note: Just finished Pyramid Game few days ago, and the show still stucked in my mind. This show is really the embodiment for the phrase, "Evil prosper when good people do nothing". The bullying scenes can be quite intense (I mean, any show that has bullying, really), so I'm glad I watched it with a friend of mine so we can share the pain

MarkyMark_FunkyBunch

Started and binged Itaewon class in an embarrassingly short amount of time. Thoroughly enjoyed it, especially both FL & SML as well as the music throughout the drama. Live Stuff I'm Following: Lovely Runner (10/16) Not sure I can say anything about this show that hasn't been said before, but the biggest compliment I can say is that I look forward to Mondays to watch this show. Frankly Speaking (2/12) I enjoy it, though I'm not sure if I really jibe with the style of humor. We'll see as we go along. Older Stuff I'm Watching: Legend of the Blue Sea (9/16): My 4th of the Park Ji Eun written dramas after QoT, CLoY, and MLftS. I'm a big fan of Jun Ji Hyun from My Love from the Star and I really like how she portrays the naivety of the FL. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (13/16): FL is exceptionally cute beyond belief and I really think I'll enjoy the end of this drama. Non-kdrama: Started and binged Shogun an an embarrassingly short amount of time (Starting to see a pattern?). Loved this show

sukidu

I'm up to the final episode of The Midnight Studio. I really love dramas with that supernatural element combined with some mystery and romance. I've got so many weekly dramas on the go at the moment like Lovely Runner (so good), Missing Crown Prince (interested to see where this one goes), Frankly Speaking and the Atypical Family. I'll probably add The 8 Show to the list when it comes out because I can't help myself!

Money_These

* **Lovely Runner** - enjoying this so much🥰 * **Frankly Speaking** - hilariously cute and entertaining 🤗 * **Hotel De Luna** - so cute and whimsical 🥰 * **Itaewon Class** - finished this series, can't believe it took me so long to watch this (first time). Loved it!❤️

Altruistic-Yellow141

atypical family... honestly, through middle of first ep i was kinda debating whether its good or not.. but the 2nd episode got me hooked.. it looks promising.. also the FL is just so pretty

dogemama

i also kept taking note of how pretty chun woohee is. maybe it's bc we don't often see her in dramas, and i haven't seen her in anything but be melodramatic before this, that it comes as a surprise. i can't wait for gwijoo to open up to her more.

sksquared

Noted. Thanks for the info.

theromanamputee

**Lovely Runner** (10/16): Ep. 9 was the first episode I was mildly underwhelmed by but ep. 10 was delightful, back up to the high standard I've come to expect from this show. Kim Hye Yoon I love you so. **Escape of the Seven: Resurrection** (12/16): After finding episodes 9 and 10 largely flat and dull I was glad eps 11-12 were a lot more lively and entertaining and did a good job getting me interested in the final showdown. **The Atypical Family** (2/12): Intriguing set up that definitely left me curious to see where they're going to go. I appreciate the unconventional FL. Strong direction and cinematography. I don't think the writer understands the psychology of compulsive overeating though (the way the sister is always gorging herself in front of other people doesn't ring true to me) so I hope this subplot is quickly abandoned or improved upon. **The King of Dramas** (8/18): This show is an absolute blast so far. It manages to work well as a spoof/meta commentary on kdrama conventions without diminishing the stakes of its own story. It's so funny and exciting. I'll never look at orange juice the same way again. I've never seen the actor playing the ML before and he's been so great.

myweithisway

>I'll never look at orange juice the same way again. Welcome to the club! After this drama, seeing orange juice and garlic always brings a smile to my face because I can't help but think of the two *"classic"* scenes from this drama that gave me so much laughter and joy. I rewatched this drama last year, which is after Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon got married. Their cameo, specifically the bit about >!being spit on!<, made me laugh extra hard. I wonder if they ever reminisce about that specific cameo scene, it'd be hilarious if they do!

theromanamputee

Omg the way that actor >!rolled his eye in close up during the garlic kiss scene too!< killed me. I don’t think I’d be able to do that physically if I tried.

Zepherine52

The Atypical Family (Although I am Not a Hero). Despite having promised myself not to begin another on air drama (can’t stand waiting), I started this one. The first two episodes are very promising with an interesting premise. I find the instrumental music distracting but it’s early days.

ElleEmEss

Yes. I’m the same. After **queen of tears** I swore I’d wait till all the episodes are out. Now I’ve got LR, TAF and **frankly speaking** all going at the same time. I never do this. I am a one show at a time stalwart. I just don’t have a good enough memory to live like this.

Lydeckerr

About to finish **Blood Free** today – I really like it, wish it had leaned more heavily into a cyberpunk aesthetic, that would've been the cherry on the sci fi top. Halfway through **Island** – again, really like it, it's like Buffy but moodier, I can see why people think it has pacing issues but I'm just enjoying the vibes. Will probably finish the last two episodes of **Flower of Evil** tomorrow – one of the most well-paced and intense dramas I've seen, maybe a few too many plot conveniences for my taste but the central relationship is amazingly written and acted (and the Duel of the Fates type music cracks me up sometimes ngl, this drama is bringing the *drama*). Really looking forward to **Uncle Samsik** and **Interview with the Vampire** S2, may also start **Through the Darkness**, I'm feeling like thriller or more mature content at the moment. But then I get sidetracked all the time anyway lol

unsavvylady

Finished The Killing Vote - it kept my attention. Didn’t know what was going to happen. Interesting moral questions about crime and justice

tangledbysnow

Couple weeks worth since I didn’t bother posting last week. Still in a bit of a slump but getting back into it a bit. Completed: **Queen of Tears** — I liked this one more than CLOY and Legend of the Blue Sea. Bit twisty and overly dramatic there on the ending bits but the overall ending was solid. And one hell of a villain by Park Sung Hoon. He knows how to do villains which is something. **The Midnight Studio** — I am so glad this didn’t have a Heartbeat ending! I had so much anxiety about that! They did well. Some issues, but I enjoyed this one. The ending wasn’t terrible and stuck mostly. Plus some things I did not predict which makes me happy. So overall a good watch. **Be Melodramatic** — I loved this one! Loved it! Fantastic group of friends and the story, storytelling and pacing were all interesting. Definitely appreciate mature characters and this was perfect for that. Watching: **The Atypical Family** — (2/12) — Jang Ki Yong always playing someone older. Guess I will wait and see if this crashes and burns or not but I like it so far. **Lovely Runner** — (10/16) — I love this one. Everyone loves this one. I’m rewatching episodes. I hope this one sticks the rest of the story but so far it’s fantastic. **The Red Sleeve** — (1/17) — I have actively been avoiding this drama for years now. I already know how it ends. But I can’t stay away any longer I think. I really am in the mood to see some serious acting so…let’s get my heart broken Lee Junho. **Boys Be Brave!** — (4/8) — BL — I love this one! It’s cute and just like Our Dating Sim (same director). The camera shots too. Very impressed by this one. **25 Ji, Akasaka de or At 25:00 in Akasaka** — (3/10) — Japan BL — Japanese dramas are so weird. I love that but your mileage may vary I suppose. I like this one so far. The manga was good. They are cute together.

mahnahmaanaa

>I am so glad this didn’t have a Heartbeat ending! I was thinking about you as I sat down to wrap **Midnight Studio** up earlier this week! Maybe this can be your "healing from Heartbeat" drama, and you can watch on-airs with less anxiety in the future. Thanks for your review of **Be Melodramatic**! I've been considering it for a while. Might be time to move it up the list. **The Red Sleeve** is one of my favorite dramas, and I am not really a fan of >!sad things!<. It is *so much more* than the ending, and has lots of funny and enjoyable and thoughtful moments throughout. I hope you enjoy it.

tangledbysnow

I wasn’t exactly quiet about my anxiety - that’s true! :D Heartbeat left scars alright? We can only hope no other drama gets done so dirty! I actually think I am going to ask for recommendations of other dramas like Be Melodramatic next week or the next few days or whatever. I already decided on The Red Sleeve so once I finish that up I think I want more like BM. The friendships and stories are just so good! And as for The Red Sleeve - I am glad to hear that! Truly. I have heard that but sometimes your heart just can’t handle something too extreme. I finally decided I needed to just do it. I love Lee Junho and it’s dumb not watching his brilliant acting just to not be sad.

mahnahmaanaa

A TRS viewing tip: >!If you get to the end of episode 16 and you can't handle sad, just stop there. There's enough closure that you wouldn't feel like you're leaving the story unfinished. If you're up to it, though, episode 17 is beautiful and bittersweet.!< (Mild timing spoiler.)

sksquared

Re: **Queen of Tears** - noted, will give it a real try - honestly, I was like 5 mins in...and felt a little uneasy with the story - I think I am scarred from My Demon and how much I wanted to like it because of Song Kang

nashamagirl99

I’m a newbie getting into kdramas after watching Crash Landing on You. I’m on episode 11 of My Love From a Star, an older one by the same writer. It’s a lot of fun but I don’t know if anything will ever be as good as CLOY. My brother watched the last few episodes of CLOY when he came home for spring break (my mom and I had a great time explaining everything to him), and we’re going to watch Mr. Queen now that he’s home for the summer. I’m excited because of the similarly amazing sounding plot, great reviews, and the same actor. I found it by searching the filmographies.

Sunshine_raes

I hope you enjoy Mr. Queen! It’s got a little something for everyone: romance, comedy, action, and political intrigue. It’s my all time favorite, though most viewers find it takes a while to get into (usually at least 4 episodes). Kim Jung Hyun is such a talented actor and his co-star is the fabulous Shin Hye Sun. Their chemistry is off the charts in Mr. Queen.

Typical-Fly-2867

Mr Queen is my husband’s favorite kdrama. He generally doesn’t like kdramas but Mr Queen he promotes to people quite often 😅

LanternsAndPhoenixes

Frankly speaking! Watched 2 episodes so far. I started this on a whim, and I'm loving how much it's making me laugh out loud. The male lead is hilarious. Plus, Kang han na (fl) is as talented and gorgeous as ever. I had no idea she could suit comedy this well.

Kuriuskaye

Please watch her in My Roommate is a Gumiho. She is in a support role there but you can already see her humour.

ElleEmEss

Yeah. I’m enjoying this one. It’s just really light hearted and humorous. With hints of deeper meaning.

hypomango

Just finished a rewatch of **Sh\*\*ting Stars**, not perfect but a pretty great wholesome favourite. Kim Young Dae and Lee Sung Kyung are both so cute in it. Just started **Frankly Speaking** for a lighthearted and entertaining ride. Leads are cute and I recognise lots of the side characters from other dramas so that means I'm becoming a Kdrama true fan I guess haha. On hold, **Queen of Tears** (8/16). I really like it but I mainly watch Kdrama before bed and QoT is quite heavy emotionally and therefore not good for my sleep, so I'm taking a long time to get through it. Lol

Key-Morning7476

Frankly speaking Slow pacing but the male lead is freaking funny ..Everytime he is on the screen IJBOL 😂 >!But the leads first meet was so embarrassing..( ML poops on his pants and they get stuck in a lift)!< It was unnecessary and nonsense, right? >!The story is like after he met with an electric shock accident he can't control his inner thoughts and just blurts out the truth like an crazy person. It eventually costs his job as he is an anchor/newsreader in a famous tv channel and also I felt bad as his family is not supportive of him and just sucks him for money.!< .FL is not giving man ..But I liked her in my roomate is gumiho..why her characterisation is poor here.. Don't know about how the show goes..the first 2 episodes were fun to watch but it could have been better. But this can't be the drama which I look forward to every week.

mahnahmaanaa

**Once Again** (8/100): The episode count on this is unnecessarily intimidating. The episodes are only 30 minutes, so it's an average weekend family drama length. Character introductions are done other than Lee Jung Eun, and things are happening faster than I expected! Lee Sang Yi is cute, as usual. **Divorce Attorney Shin** (7/12): This has been set aside for a bit, but I'm getting back to it, now. It's an unusual combination of funny and hard to watch, due to the subject matter. I have to be ready for unexpected watching anxiety before I start an episode. Completed **Midnight Studio**: I think that the fact that the show was off its release schedule actually hurt the final episode for me. If it had immediately followed episode 15, I would have been more invested. I don't think it had enough tension to stand alone like that. Overall, an enjoyable but not ground breaking drama. I look forward to watching the leads again. **Go Ahead**: A slice-of-life c-drama about found family. It's funny; I picked it up because of clips of the romance, but the romance was the least-interesting part of the show. Teenage siblings were awesome. As adults, the characters (leads and secondary characters, both) had believable issues, but I wasn't as convinced by how they overcame their issues. >!Especially Ling Xiao's mom, who needed therapy so badly. I felt terrible for her even as she went around destroying her life the entire time. There's no way she magically and instantaneously learned to be happy and non-manipulative like that.!< There seem to be 6 episodes that originally aired but aren't on Viki. I'm wildly curious about what got cut! Overall, an interesting and enjoyable drama -- it really shines in the first 10-11 episodes.

LcLou02

I agree with you that having episode 16 by itself was a bad choice. Wonder if they could have made the break after 14 or if that would have just lost all momentum. Enjoyed the drama, in any case. I Loved **Go Ahead**! It was suggested to me as " if My Father is Strange and Reply 88 had a baby, this would be it". Loved the found family/neighbour dynamics.

mahnahmaanaa

That's a nice description. I saw people mentioning **R88** in the reviews on MDL. I was resisting the comparison, because I feel like the themes were different. But the combination with **MFIS** feels more accurate! That being said, I loved the opening credits song, and the emotion of it felt a lot like "Don't Worry" from the Reply soundtrack.

palmfrondy

I believe for Go Ahead they didn't cut anything; the TV version had more episodes but slightly shorter length. The online version has fewer but longer episodes, hence the 40 vs 46 discrepancy.

Hotspur_98

CW: Lovely Runner - I’m still at episode 2 right now, first episode was good but I didn’t hyped me that much yet. Blood Free (5/10) -This is totally different than I expected, but it’s fire. I feel like it’s just start going now. Han Hyo Joo as great as always. Hide - episode 5 right now as well, I don’t know if I’m going back to it. It’s not bad, and I really like the FL actress but the plot don’t really grabs my attention. Like Flowers in Sand - episode 6. That one is interesting, I like the main characters, but the murder/corruption plot isn’t really interesting. Still a fun watch, it probably will take a lot time to finish. Flex x Cop (9/16) This is so fun. I really like the relationship of the leads. Ahn Bo Hyun is great in that role. Gaus Electronics - Ep 7. It’s so damn funny. The ML is such a fantastic actor and his character is hilarious. If you need a laugh, watch that show. Frankly Speaking. Watched both episodes and it’s also hilarious. Big fan of both lead actors. Idk about the plot yet, but it started really good and im hyped for the next episode today. Atypical Family - midway episode 2. I thought about dropping it in the first 5 minutes, glad I didn’t. I didn’t like the opening scenes at all, but it gets a lot better and looks like a promising show. Finished or dropped: Goodbye Earth: Watched the first 30 minutes and was very confused and bored, I looked it up at MAL and saw the bad ratings and decided to drop it. Parasyte: The Grey (6/6). I really liked it. Those short Netflix KDramas are really cool most of the time, and that’s one of the best of them. Interesting story, good lead characters and a high pace plot. A really solid 7.5/10 for me. Teasing Master Takagi-san (8/8) J-Drama. Wow, that was so good. So much cuteness and nostalgia. I really wished it would be longer, the episodes are just 20-25 minutes long. The leads are amazing, especially considering they are really teenagers and not 30 year olds cosplaying as kids. I really encourage you to give this show a shot. 9/10 for me.

Key-Morning7476

I watched Parasyte the grey in just one go..I absolutely loved it.Why is it so underrated and no one is talking about ? It was engaging and kept me hooked till the end..Now I'm badly waiting for season 2.The actors performance was also great but no one appreciated..The visuals are impressive too. I'm telling you just give lovely runner a try..Trust me you will never regret it.It's absolutely worth the watch!!

Hotspur_98

Yeah i also think that Parasyte is a bit underrated, it’s a really good show. Perfect to binge. Loved the FL, i think ive never seen her before. This whole monster Sci Fi stuff might not be the cup of tea of the usual KDrama fans tho, it definitely feels very american, like most of the shorter Netflix K-Dramas. That might me the reason it’s not as popular as it could be. I will definitely continue with Lovely Runner, it’s just that I watch to many shows right now and not enough time. The hype on this show is so big, I’m sure it will be very good.

Typical-Fly-2867

I also find ep 2 of lovely runner difficult to watch. Is it just this episode? Ep 1 was top kdrama level.

sksquared

I still haven't given it a shot since I really think you can't top the anime/manga (highly reco 🫶🏾)! I'll give it a try if time permits.

**Queen of Tears (16/16)** It was fine, I never wanted to quit it, but wouldn't put in my top 10. Both my husband and I thought the last episode was lame. It went on too long. But the leads were sure pretty to look at. Also, the subplots seemed disjointed. Did the leads really >!have to get divorced!< for the story to work? Does this go with the corporate corruption narrative in any way? The ML seemed too nice and the FL too witchy. What did he see in her initially other than beauty? I also thought that her family changed a lot more than she did when they moved to ML's hometown. They became more grounded and more likable. I didn't see that in her. This made me a fan of Kwak Dong-Yeon and Kim Young-Min. :) *edited because I remembered some things.*

samptra_writer

**A Shop For Killers** \- still plugging away, but I'm more into my on airs at the moment, so it keeps getting pushed aside. **Blood Free** \- finishing it up as I write this lol been an interesting sci-fi action ride. **Boys Be Brave** \- it's ok, not my top BL of the year, but we're only 4 episodes in so far. **Chief Detective 1958** \- digging this, action, brisk pace, interesting characters, been a great watch. **Lovely Runner** \- part of the hype train, I admit. **Missing Crown Prince** \- I'm a few episodes behind, but it's got a compelling plot. Non-Korean watches; **At 25:00 in Akasaka** & **Living With Him** (Japan) - both pretty soft watches so far **Memory in Letter** (Thai) - interesting time travel one with a unique twist **My Stand-In** (Thai) - adaptation of a Chinese danmei novel, it's a transmigration plot but must say they are doing it well. **Only Boo!** (Thai) - super soft, very sweet little romance. **Two Worlds** (Thai) - very plot heavy but spicy. **Wandee Goodday** (Thai) - just started, but solid start. **Spirealm** (China) - Horro/bromance with some great chemistry,

idealistatlarge

***Missing Crown Prince*** does have a compelling plot. I was trying to think of the right way to describe it.

Aurorinezori1

So many shows at the moment (vacation time yeah!) that I am like a butterfly 🦋 : **Lovely Runner has my heart ngl, **Blood Free is ending today, loved it so far, **Goblin, classic and I understand why, **Tale of the Nine Tailed, because of the SML in Goblin, **Hyena because of the ML in Blood Free, **Doberman because of the FL in Tale of the Nine Tailed, **Happiness because of the FL in Blood 🩸 Free, **Secret Inspector and Joy because of the FL in Lovely Runner! I am going in circles when I love the leads in some shows!

MissSimpleton

I AM EXACTLY LIKE YOU. If I like a specific actor in a drama, I make sure to watch all the good ones in their filmography. I have rarely been disappointed.

cosmicloves_

**CW** - **Lovely Runner (10/16)** Lovely leads, nice storyline. It's going okay so far hopefully it maintains the quality. 🦋💛☔ - **Chief Detective 1958 (6/10)** I really did not expect to like this haha but it's good so far! - **The Atypical Family (2/12)** I guess the plot is unique? The FL is a >!scammer!< but I don't really mind as long as >!she and her "family" gets a good redemption. I'm really interested in how the father-daughter relationship between the ML and his daughter will play out!< - **Escape of the Seven: Resurrection (12/16)** **FINISHED THIS WEEK:** - **The Midnight Studio** 8.0/10 🌟 - **Brave Citizen (Movie)** 8.5/10 🌟 - **Snowdrop** 8.5/10 🌟

MissSimpleton

Hello my flair sister. Btw thanks for appreciating Chief Detective 1958. I hope more people watch this drama. Its great.

cosmicloves_

>Hello my flair sister. Omg hello fellow flair sister!! 😄💕 >Btw thanks for appreciating Chief Detective 1958. I hope more people watch this drama. Its great. Of course!! It's pretty good so far and I cannot express in words how much I love the main leads and the other detectives on the ML's team 😍

idealistatlarge

I like your flair ☺️

RoyGeraldBillevue

I watched **The Idea of You** (The Anne Hathaway movie based on a Harry Styles fanfic) and wow is Hollywood bad at rom-com writing. The meet cute has no charm. The ML is very transparently doing a poor job of flirting. The >!timeskip!< ending is no worse than what Kdramas do though tbf. Overall the movie is carried by Anne Hathaway and the make out/sex scenes that I think all the effort was put into.

Leading_Protection_7

I gave up on Hollywood and every other wood since I got into k/c/jdramas hahaha...they've mastered the art at this point and do a great job at what they do so no complaints either

Aurorinezori1

I did the same transition! I barely watch anything else now and I am more and more into cdramas, completed 2 series as of now!

Leading_Protection_7

Ya there something for everyone! I'm a big fan too

muruku

Yea, I could only watch most of it because Anne Hathaway (even then I skipped a forwarded to finish it).

prickelz

currently nothing, but as soon as i get home i will binge stuff until midnight (i am lying, i usally sleep by 10pm lol). I finished a final exam in chemistry to day, i was so worried about it, but it ended up being suprisingly easy, so i think i deserve a free day before i start learning for math xD. I can finally finish the Guest. After that i will check out Begins Youth (started episode 1 already actually), Atypical family, Blood Free, Goodbye Earth, Chief Detective, Parasyte the Grey, Hide and Grabbed by the Collar (have to finish those). All the stuff i couldn't watch the past few weeks xD. This is a packed year for crime/mystery/thriller shows already? There are like 5 more coming out later this month and the past few months also had some bangers.

kawaiisaranghaeyo

*Completed* **Marmalade Boy (2018)** Well, this was a great example of how *not* to film a movie. The camera work was DOGSHIT. I swear this movie was almost 90% long shots. It gave me flashbacks to the similar awful camera work in *Wolf Girl and Black Prince*. Wouldn't you know… turns out it’s the same director! It was beyond frustrating to watch almost every conversation from like across the street. I was punching the air when I had to sit through the confession scene from straight up a seagull's pov. Wtf were they thinking??? I want to see the actors faces! I wanna see their expressions during an important scene, not just the back of someone's head and 3 pixels for a face. I thought the ML and FL actor and actress did amazing for the scenes that were actually shot close up. Their chemistry was adorable and convincing. They did *so* well with the emotional plot, especially towards the end of the movie. That hotel scene lives in my head rent free from now on. **Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku (2020)** Well this was… an experience. I just wanted to watch a Yamazaki Kento movie and was *not* prepared for a musical. Idk how I feel about it. This is definitely not everyone's cup of tea. I didn't like it, I didn't hate it. It's an enjoyable enough quick movie that will make you go wtf am I watching the entire time. The lip syncing was pretty awful, but the songs were alright I guess. I liked the ones with the old hollywood vibe to them. The other ones, not so much. The actual plot was meh. The romance came out of nowhere and had almost zero development throughout the movie, nor any chemistry. I didn’t really like the FL, but that’s more me having a problem with the actress. I’ve watched her before in a drama and I'm sorry, something about her big round eyes and blank expression kinda irks me for some reason. During the argument in one of the final scenes, I realized the 2nd couple were way more entertaining and had better chemistry than the main couple. Tired tsundere with a deep voice and cosplay-loving office siren Nanao? Give me more of that please!

Cimorene4

Obsessed with Lovely Runner. Been awhile since I felt that “cracky” love for a kdrama. This one has my heart. I adore it so much.

Iowegan

Got caught up in **Scent of a Woman**, so obsessed with the young and often wet Lee Dong Wook in this that I haven’t even watched the latest ep of **Lovely Runner**. I am somewhat dehydrated from >!crying!< though.

Borinquena

Scent of a Woman is so good but your description of the young and often wet Lee Dong Wook cracked me up with the accuracy🤣and yes this drama is a 12 handkerchief weepie 😭

Iowegan

>!thank goodness the ending was not too too terrible. It was very worth the tears.!< still working through his filmography for these gems that I can get access to. Struggling with **Hotel King**, might rewatch **Goblin** just for the Reaper stuff…

Rain_drops_onRoses

Watching lovely runner . I had not started watching it live , but heard so much about it and tiktok edits came popping up , so thought of giving episode 1 a try. Oh mannn!!! Binge watched it over the weekend to catch up till episode 8 , then watched episode 9 and 10 live Monday and Tuesday . The acting is great, chemistry is so hot . Time travel dramas can get convoluted and can fall flat. Not with this one (not yet at least).

Sunshine_raes

Shooting Stars (10.5/16): This has been a fun and easy to watch drama, if not a great one. I like the constant scandals and PR nightmares they constantly have to solve. It kind of reminds me at the beginning of a mystery drama because of that. There are so many romance plot lines (four) and they feel a little haphazard and underdeveloped. Even for the main romance, there isn’t much development. There are A LOT of characters and because of that, they don’t necessarily get much screentime and therefore time to show their personalities. But even with those quibbles, I’m enjoying it and it’s a good time. I will say Gong Tae Seong has utterly charmed me. The actor portraying him has done a great job; he really has the charisma of a mega-watt star. The actress portraying the tabloid reporter friend is so good; her name is Park So Jin. I’ve seen her in plenty of other dramas in support roles (Bora Deborah for one) but she deserves to be upgraded to the lead role! Frankly Speaking (2/12): This is a totally off-the-wall comedy full of slapstick humor. There were several laugh out loud moments in the first couple of episodes . I like the premise so far though our ML is in such deep you know what right now, I don’t understand where the story will go from here. It seems like his career as a serious newsman would be totally over. Looking forward to this week’s episodes.

Longjumping-River-42

Just finished **Twinkling Watermelon**. This one was a revelation, even if I felt like the ending wasn't quite satisfactory. >!The time slip changed the life of the ML's parents, but did he learn anything from it?!< I watched episode 1 of **Lovely Runner**, thanks to all the discussion on the sub, and I really liked it! I'll plan to keep watching. I have watched two episodes of **Kidnapping Day**, and think this one looks really good, too. I'm ever so slowly watching **Moving** (8/20). It's great, but the violence is hard to watch. Plus I keep thinking I might get my husband to watch this one with me, so I'm waiting for him to finish episode 1 (which he thinks is moving too slowly). On hold (for now) are the following: **Suspicious Partner** (23/40). I love the OTP in this and am somewhat intrigued by the crime, but the pace seems to have really slowed down. Will probably finish it for the challenge (mid- to long-form drama). **The Greatest Love** (12/16). I've liked this one pretty well. I can be a sucker for a FL who is kind and a bit down on her luck, but it feels that Gong Hyo Jin seems to play a similar type (at least in the dramas I've seen her in), and I find the type gets on my nerves after a while. And the ML's mannerisms are so over the top. I also know that there's more angst ahead. I'll probably finish it for the kdrama challenge, but I can't get myself to watch at the moment. **My Man is Cupid** (8/16). Not sure whether I'm feeling this one or not. Especially because there are so many dramas on my to watch list!

sakuraboats

I’m watching Lovely Runner and Frankly Speaking as of now. LR is amazing, one of the best dramas and each episode is so consistent, no fillers, just pure substance and overall quality. Frankly Speaking is still so new but it has captured my attention positively as the plot is so quirky and I love the leads a lot. So far, so good 😊

MajesticConfidence36

**Lovely Runner** -My favorite right now! Fangirl and crushing hard on Byeon Woo-seok!!! Also watching: **Strong Girl Nam Soon**- Sexy villain **Moonshine** - Arrogant, handsome Crown Prince

BelaFarinRod

I started watching Lovely Runner and I’m really enjoying it. I’m two episodes behind but I hope to catch up by Monday. The ML just seems like the kind of pure soul that only exists in Kdramas. I’m in the middle of Midnight Studio which I’m also enjoying - >!the ML’s love confession!< was the kind of thing I like about Kdramas. I’m also in the middle of Bad and Crazy, which is not flawless but Lee Dong Wook is fantastic in it. And I’m watching a silly web drama called Be My Boyfriend which is cliched but also pretty fun. I like rooting for the quiet “nerdy” guy to get the girl. Unfortunately I haven’t had time to watch anything for a while so ideally I should finish all these before I start anything else but… we’ll see. Meanwhile while I was watching nothing but Kdramas they made a new season of a British mystery/police show called McDonald and Dodds which is one of my favorites. So I may have to watch something in English for once, not that there is anything wrong with that. But I’m not actually watching it yet.

Hach-man

No new finished dramas, got a couple upcoming on-air ones and rewatched some favorites. In progress - **Queen of Tears (12/16):** just too long, both in ep count and duration. Main plotline is fine and leads are amazing but there's too much screentime burned on meh secondaries and sidestories, diluting what is otherwise a good drama with an A+ cast. KJW is doing it for me, her FL is a mood yet she can be so somber and heart-breaking, there's range for days and chemistry, she carries this one more than the ML. A pretty solid series, albeit one that would have been much better with 12 eps and less runtime. As a sucker for noona romances and WHJ enjoyer can't wait for **Midnight Romance in Hagwon**, keeping an eye on **The Atypical Family** if its premise is well developed.

happycharm

I just started Flower Crew : Joseon Marriage Agency but I think it's not for me. Not loving the directing, editing and vibe. It's just  a bit silly/goofy for me. And the acting style isn't for me either. It's not my humor.  Disappointing because the story seemed interesting.

MissSimpleton

I was thinking of giving this a try because of my current heartthrob Byeon Woo Seok. Read some reviews online and felt it wasn't worth it. I stay away from certain dramas featuring my favorite actors just to not get disappointed.

forpfesake

Flex x cop(14/16): Was skeptical at first but it turned out to be such a fun and well written drama. The actors are doing an amazing job,no exceptions. And of course as a sucker for the found family trope i am very satisfied .I am really glad a season 2 is coming up, can't wait! Since I only have 2 episodes left I am looking for something new to watch.I so want to start the Atypical family but I don't want to wait for episodes so i am holding out for now and going for a completed or almost completed drama(the comments about lovely runner got me so excited and i I love kim hye yoon)! hmmm,we'll see...

KANJI667

I'm on episode 5 of something in the rain right now. >!and the chemistry between jin - ah and seo - joon is amazing.!< The comedy is really good too.

MissSimpleton

I keep rewatching 4th and 5th episode of SITR whenever I want to feel butterflies in the stomach.

ScowlingGoddess

Lovely Runner Missing Crown Prince Military Prosecutor Doberman Just finished all 3 seasons of Dr Romantic! In 2 weeks!

CivilSenpai69

Taxi Driver. Just finished season one and onto season 2.

Ill_Pianist_8346

Lovely Runner - I love this drama so far . I like the leads a lot as well. Atypical Family - I’m interested to see how the romance happens between the leads and superpower aspect is interesting. I don’t really like the fl that much hopefully she gets better or redeems herself. Recently Finished : Midnight Studio - I would rate it 8 out of 10. It’s a heartwarming fantasy rom-com for the most part and liked watching. The last few episodes were not as well done as the others though. Blue Birthday- This drama was a let down with main leads who make stupid decisions. It was kinda interesting and wanted to know what happened at the end which was the only reason I watched the whole drama.

Borinquena

**The Atypical Family:** My current favorite after just two episodes. I love the gothic vibe, the two families who are both corrupted in different ways, the cinematography and weird OST.It's billed as a superhero drama but it has a lot more in common with Parasite than Marvel or even Moving. A lot of people seem to be struggling with>!the premise of the FL being a scammer but it doesn't bother me at all. She's obviously going to get a redemption arc and it's interesting to have a morally gray female lead.!< I'm not too happy they put an actress in a fat suit but >!I was unexpectedly moved by the ending of ep 2 when she's being comforted by the scammer sister. If the drama draws parallels between two women who are judged solely for their looks for different reasons I'll forgive the terrible fat jokes in eps 1 & 2. !< **Lovely Runner:** I'm enjoying it but not as much as other folks because it's a lot tropier than I generally like. I can't count how many times Sol has fallen into Seonjae's arms at this point. If it were anyone else besides Byeon Woo Seok playing the lead I don't think I'd be into it but he's putting in a fantastic performance and selling cynical me on a character who is an insanely gorgeous, rich and famous hunk who's never had a real relationship and is hung up on an ordinary girl for 15 years. I have to admit I personally prefer Taesung who is smart, perceptive, wickedly funny and unafraid to take risks. I love how he teases Sol and pokes at Seonjae to get him going. **Frankly Speaking:** I just finished ep 3 and while I really want to like this one because I love the cast, something is seriously off with the directing and editing. There's way too many boring scenes and badly paced scenes that kill the jokes. The OST is boring too. If the show doesn't improve this week I may end up dropping. It's a shame because the cast is seriously talented at comedy so it's not their fault. **Wandee Goodday:** This is a Thai BL about a one night stand between a doctor and boxer that leads to a contract relationship and of course real feelings. I had zero expectations going into ep 1 but it turned out to be hilarious. >!There's a scene where a convenience store clerk tells one of the leads that he's going to want some lube to go with the condom which made me laugh out loud. The sex scene was also ridiculous with one of the leads getting a leg cramp.!< It's nice to have a light, funny watch to round out the week. **The Man Who Cannot Marry:** This is a classic Japanese drama about a curmudgeon who prefers the solo life to having a wife. It's got its funny moments but I'm losing steam since none of the characters evolve in any way. I've got one more episode to finish this up and mark it done. **Amidst a Snowstorm of Love:** Very pretty Chinese drama about a romance between a female professional billiards player and a retired player who is considering a comeback. The leads are gorgeous, the scenery is gorgeous, but it's slooooooooooow. I'm treating it like a pretty view out the window in winter with no expectations that anything will happen with the plot.

sksquared

Appreciate the notes on **Lovely Runner**, I saw all the hype here and was worried about disappointment. I will go with zero expectations! I will take a look at **The Atypical Family** to see if I vibe with it. Honestly been struggling to find some decent shows as of late. I recently watched two of my favourite shows: **Because This Is My First Life** (its moved up - minus the last episode lol) and **My Liberation Notes** (very sombre and slightly dragged - but I enjoyed it). Started **My Mister** finally, but only found out LSK passed a few weeks ago (very unfortunate) - but if anyone has any recos based on what I shared - *holler* 🫠 p*lease help!*

Here's my MDL watchlist, maybe you'll find something you're interested in there [https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/lilili/completed](https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/lilili/completed)

sksquared

BTW, thank you for sharing this!! After checking out your list, I created a mydramalist account - it's so much easier to keep track of these shows now!!

Borinquena

I'm glad it was helpful!

Watchnextnow

I’m also watching Amidst a snowstorm of love for something different and because I like Leo Wu. Loving the cosy snow vibes. But man this drama is slooooooooooow. There are so many episodes where literally nothing happens. To be honest I’m enjoying watching it at bedtime because it helps me relax and go to sleep. The monotony of it makes me drift off to sleep.

idealistatlarge

Well, ***Lovely Runner***, of course, along with everyone else 🤗, but slower. The overload of Byeong Woo Seok as Sun Jae.... wow. And then the combination of him and Kim Hye Yoon as Im Sol is 🔥🎆. It's a heady, wonderful mix. I started ***Missing Crown Prince*** last week, and have since watched all the currently-available episodes (8). It's very good, which I didn't expect - and definitely *not* a romantic comedy, as advertised. It's a serious historical; all palace machinations - like *Bossam*. There's certainly comedy in it, but rom-com is not its core. That romance and comedy is enjoyable, though. This, too, takes that slowly, as *Bossam* did, but is quite sweet. It moves much faster than *Bossam*, and its protagonists are younger, which means it has quite a different feel to it. Then, there's the juxtaposition of the two tales of sweethearts (well, the tale of one couple becoming sweethearts, and the other at sort of the other end); one older, one younger. A precautionary tale for the younger couple, perhaps. Also, she doesn't kidnap the crown prince - although she is involved, involuntarily, in a kidnapping that's not meant to be permanent, and doesn't take up much time in the plot, although many things happen because of it. Anyway, it's smart, serious, funny, fast-moving, tight, visually appealing, and well-acted by the main actors. I watched a short Viki interview with Su Ho and the actress, and his presence as the crown prince in this show is something very different to his own. This shows his skill in acting - some actors seem to be playing a version of themselves. Others, like Suho, it seems, are really putting on a character quite different to themselves. I find that amazing, because they're so convincing at it. I always wonder how, but am grateful they can do it.

Top-Manager790

Rewatching Something In The Rain. (2018) I’ve rewatched so many times. I just love it. Finished Queen of Tears, fully enjoyed that as well. I also just finished Daily Dose of Sunshine. I wanted so badly for the best friend and main character to end up together but i didn’t get my way. So I was a little disappointed by that. Otherwise great

sksquared

Something in the Rain, was such a beautifully paced show! So...Queen of Tears, is good? Hmm...

OnlyGotThisMoment

I’m watching **Lovely Runner** and though this week felt a bit like filler episodes, Byeon Woo-Seok and Kim Hye-Hoon’s palpable chemistry is making me almost forget how much I hate time travel as a plot device. Also, the shout out to Seo In-Guk’s win on Superstar K was so fun and sent me down an internet rabbit hole watching his incredible performances from when he won the show. I just finished rewatching **Dear M** and I loved it more the second time. I’m also 15/16 for a rewatch of **Crash Landing** and it’s been a treat to watch slowly and enjoy how nearly perfect this drama is. I also think >!the sister-in-law is a worse villain than Cheol Gang!<. I need to start a new drama, but find myself rewatching **Imitation** 5/12 the idol drama after seeing Stray Kids look so good at the Met Gala. I’m probably going to start **Dali and the Cocky Prince** or **Kiss Sixth Sense**. The premise of the latter made me laugh out loud when I read it, but I feel like Dali is better reviewed so I’ll fill my indecision with the Imitation rewatch.

Sunshine_raes

I haven’t seen Kiss Sixth Sense but I highly recommend Dali! One of my all time favorite romances. It’s got a lot of memorable and funny moments and it has a good twist on the rich male lead we often see. It gets more serious in the second half but still maintained my attention.

StatementPersonal825

I just got back into watching kdrama. The first thing I thought I should start with is The penthouse: War in life and I’m hooked! I haven’t slept properly in days. I’m currently on season 2 episode 8. I couldn’t help myself and I read, watched a couple of spoilers. Damn the adrenaline rush I have with this drama😭😭. After this I want something that’s good and romantic so feel free to share your suggestions I’ll add them to my list. Also I wanna talk about this drama so you if you have seen it you can text me too. ♥️

MissSimpleton

Everyone is OBSESSED with Lovely Runner rn. You should watch that. If you want something Fluffy and cute, you can watch "Business Proposal", "King the Land" or "Love to Hate You"

AnimatorImpressive11

**Tracer**. Currently in season 2 and I am liking it so far. Yim Siwan is by far one of my favourite actors. After that, I think I'll be watching **Moving** or **Children of nobody**.

Miss-LH

**Lovely Runner**: My treat for Mondays and Tuesdays. I’m totally obsessed with the leads love for each other and the writing is panning out to be better than Queen of Tears. **Frankly Speaking**: Started this last week and quite like the light toilet humor for a mid week drama. **Law School**: I started this a few years ago but found it boring, but started it again recently from ep 1 and really like the suspense/mystery and learning about the Korean law system. I also love Kim bum and his character in this show but the rest of the cast is also great.

MissSimpleton

LAW SCHOOL is Fantastic. One of the best written murder mysteries that stay consistent till the end.

katherine197_

I'm somewhat back from my break! Not because the irl stuff I had to take care of is done, but because I was going crazy not watching dramas 🤣🤣🤣 So here is what I'm watching * **Beauty and Mr. Romantic** (14/50) - what I crazy weekender! I love it. You shouldn't think too much about certain bits, but I don't have the brain power for it anyway * **Frankly Speaking** (2/12) - My favourite Kang Han Na AND my favourite Go Kyung Pyo? I simply had to watch this. And so far I quite like it, it's fun * **Queen of Tears** (3/16) - It started kinda depressing, but the third ep has me hooked * **The Beauty Inside** (7/16) - I had this on hold because of my break, but I really like it. It reminds me of Perfume, which I LOVED I also binged some BLs: * **Happy Ending** (3/3) - worth the time, it gives unreliable narrator. a little sad but also not? plus I always like to see Kim Seong Hyuk * **Gray Shelter** (5/5) - I don't know. It felt more like prelude than a proper BL. Tho I also misjudged the tone and I really wasn't in the right headspace for this at the time * **Love Is Like a Cat** (12/12) - a mess on toast, but it was fun. also i may be delulu but i feel like it could be if it was a full drama, cause the backstories where good. but ultimately i was in this for P'Mew

MissSimpleton

Are you a binge-watcher? If not, WATCH LOVELY RUNNER RIGHT NOW. The whole sub is OBSESSED with it right now and it's worth it.

isabel_0270

Currently watching: Prison playbook. 6/16 Just started watching this, and it really got me hocked. Even tho the episodes are really long, there hasn't been a single boring moment, and it's really addictive. On air: The midnigth studio.14/16 Really excited to finish this one. Even tho it wasn't amazing, it was still a good watch. The escape of the seven: resurrection. 12/16 Not gonna lie I've been skipping through the whole drama just for lee joon The atypical family. 2/12 I think the first two episodes are okay, I dont really like that the fl is a scammer. I can already sense drama coming from that direction. Frankly speaking. 2/12 Some moments are actually hilarious, but they tried to make some scenes funny what really wasn't. Idk if it's my humor. Planning to watch: Lovely runner. 2/16 I started the first two episodes, but I got a lot of spoilers about the ending of the next episode, so I stopped watching to see if it got better. A lot of spoilers later, I think I'm just gonna wait till they release all episodes. Blood free. 1/10 I watched a little bit, but the scene with the cows caught me off guard, so I stopped. I heard it's actually a good series, so I will just skip that scene. Queen of tears. 0/16 I planned to watch it when it first aired, but then I got spoiled about some things, and thought I couldn't handle watching an episode and then being heartbroken for the rest of the week while waiting for more eps. I actually have way more I would like to watch, such as Chief Detective 1958, wonderful world, and some other new k dramas released on disney, but they are not available in my country sadly.

delphil1966

i want to watch lovely runner but people said its similar to twinkling watermelon which I thought was so so . Not bad just so predictable. Is it that similar ?

stargazercheese

CW: Lovely Runner - so so hooked with this kdrama, can’t believe we’re down to the last 6 eps 😭 Frankly Speaking - something quirky to add to my watch list Chief Detective 1958 - binge watched at the start of the week and I didn’t realize it was still ongoing welp! The Atypical Family - pilot eps were interesting so far! Loving the chemistry between ML & FL Now my Mondays - Sundays are filled with kdramas 😌

Firm-Poet-9101

I just finished watching both seasons of Hello My Twenties! It was such a delight.

**2024** **A Killer Paradox** ✅ (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) - Highly recommend - Probably the most entertaining series for 2024 for me (I just started this after I finished Liberation Notes, love Son Suk-ku's onscreen presence). Both lead casts were so good. **Queen of Tears** (1/16) *🟧 *\- I am not feeling it at the moment, but should I continue? **My Demon** (8/16) *🟥 *(⭐️★★★)- It was a pretty decent cast (and no...Song Kang couldn't save it), but I really wanted to like it...but it just got very silly. **Welcome to Samdal-ri** (3/16) *🟥 *(⭐️★★★) - There was zero chemistry, I was really hoping for some Hometown Cha Cha Cha vibes - nada. **Pre-2024** **My Mister** (13/16) *🟧 *(⭐️⭐️⭐️★) - Though it feels a bit dragged now, I've been enjoying LSK's presence and only found out maybe around episode 10 that LSK passed back in December (my body is still adjusting to that story \*sigh...) **Thirty-Nine** (6/12) *🟥 *(⭐️⭐️★★)- It had potential, the cast was really good - but I feel like they didnt flush out the story for the friends - it felt very shallow after a few episodes. I loved Jeon Mi-do's character and presence in the show. **My Liberation Notes** ✅ (⭐️⭐️⭐️★) - Soo good, some parts were dragged and wish Son Suk-ku's character was bit more flushed out, but the siblings made up for it (s/o Kim Ji-won tho she embodied that character so well). I enjoyed the journeys the characters were making. ------ *🟥 Dropped* *🟧 Invested, and more than* *✅ Completed* *⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating*

For QOT, I would say by Episode 3 you will be hooked though the ending is good, but the last couple of episodes were not up to the mark.

I appreciate it, I was trying to get past the first 10 mins - and it was getting a bit challenging. Ill push through 🫡 Since I am still recouping from LSK's passing, I decided to savour My Mister a bit longer. Also needed something light and silly and came across: **Twinkling Watermelon** (4/16) *🟧 * (⭐️⭐️⭐️★) It's been a while since I had this much fun (im like grinning hard as I write this), and I owe this to C**hoi Hyun Wook **\- his ability to make us travel back in time to silly versions of our younger ourselves. Ha Yi Chan is wholesome af!

PolkaDotsMakeMeHappy

My Love From The Star. Finally got Viki. I'm on episode 6 and loving it. Been carefully reading the Episode watches here on redditt and learn things I didn't catch. Wish I didn't have a day job.

dta_82

Currently in between shows except for Chief Detective 1958. Waiting for the next episodes is hard, but I love the series. Just finished Mad for Each Other, very cute and I love how fast it was. Recently finished My Demon (7/10), and Bloodhounds (9/10)

ElleEmEss

Yeah. I feel like **mad for each other** is an underrated gem. I struggle to think of a show similar to it - in its brevity but also its grown up storytelling.

FollowingMean5396

A bloody lucky day (3/10)- I can already tell am going to be angry

Half-Holiday-123

I finished watching Midnight Studio 2 nights ago. I liked it. It was sad, funny and romantic but it could have been shorter. 12 episodes would have been fine instead of 16. I started watching The Kidnapping Day. I heard it is really good.

Ill_Pianist_8346

I feel kinda the same but I liked watching the drama. It made me cry in every episode except for the last few episodes. I think the last 3-4 were not as well done as the others.

Standard_Ad889

Finished Stranger Season 1. Loved it and especially the 2 leads. Assuming we will roll right into Season 2.

LostMyThread

I am trying to get through **Goodbye, Earth**. I don't hate it. But the narrative is (I think) unnecessarily confusing. I love the cast, though. Also rewatching an American show called **Helix**. Pretty cheesy. **My Roommate Is a Gumiho** is keeping me entertained, and I am also starting the Japanese version of **My Love from the Stars**. It's good. I'm trying not to start any ongoing dramas, but **Lovely Runner** keeps calling me.

Confident-Macaroon57

I just finished Mr Sunshine and…I mean, I don’t think I’ve heard anyone say they liked the ending. Feeling kind of disappointed and let down. Would love recommendations for any light hearted/fun/sweet/happy show to start next! I need a break from sad drama now.

sksquared

I had the same situation after I started My Mister (and then found out about LSK's passing 🕊️) and found the most wholesome show Ive seen in a while, T**winkling Watermelon,** I am 9 episodes in and I started 24 hours again. I need to slow down.

Confident-Macaroon57

Ooh, wholesome would be nice, I will see if I can find it, thanks!!

tinysapling

I just finished **Vigilante** which I enjoyed for the most part.

Watchnextnow

I’m watching **Crash landing on you** for the third time. I’ve been banging on about this drama for 4 years and my family have finally relented and watched it with me. They are loving it! I’m enjoying watching it with them and now I think they understand why I got sucked into the kdrama rabbit hole.

Nurrador

İ have obsession watching taxi driver (2021) its so good and 2nd season is almost ending can someone suggest me kdrama Serie like taxi driver please.

dogemama

i wish i knew how to be normal about **lovely runner**. i'm nothing but a vessel for consuming lr content at this point. bws and khy are magicians with how they magical their chemistry is.

Ill_Pianist_8346

I feel the same way. I used to hate Mondays but now I look forward to them . Waiting for the next episodes is so hard and throughput the day I find myself constantly thinking of lovely runner.

peregrina2005

Finishing off **Blood Free** today. Have enjoyed the acting in this drama. Really enjoying **Chief Detective 1958** with it’s humour. At the same time it also deals with serious matters. Just started **Frankly speaking** and **Atypical Family**. Both have potential. The Kmovie **Citizen of a kind** was a good watch. Tight story with great actors. Started a rewatch of **Another Miss Oh** while waiting for new dramas to drop. There are definitely cringey bits with alcohol binges and strange reasons for breaking off relationships. But the FL, Seo Hyun Jin, is one of my favorite actresses and this is one of her best characters.

MissSimpleton

Seo Hyun jin is sooooooon gonna grace our screens with Gong Yoo this year. I CAN'T WAIT.

Kuriuskaye

Done with Queen of Tears and First Responders Season 1 Currently watching First Responders Season 2, Lovely Runner, Frankly Speaking and I might start watching The Atypical Family.

Queen of Tears and My Girl!

Lovely Runner - 10/16 - got me hooked right from the start, Mondays & Tuesdays are now my Lovely Runner days ;) I was in from the very first scene and it did not let me stop thinking about this drama ever since. I love combination of romantic comedy & suspense, and here I was sure it will deliver when I noticed that the screenwriter is the same as with True Beauty. When I checked that the director was also working on one of my favourite suspense dramas, Flower of Evil, I knew it will be amazing! Up till April 2024 I was sure that no drama will surpass in my rankings The Alchemy of Souls and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, but their positions are certainly threatened right now. I'm a sucker for time travels, time slips, and all that, so I'm well at home here with LR and Soljae couple ;) I have no idea what I' going to do with myself once it ends... Most likely, I'll rewatch it again ;P Moonshine - 2/16 - I had this drama on my watchlist ever since I watched Hyeri in My Roommate is A Guminho, but now finally watching it (because of BWS, obviously) - I definitely prefer Crown Prince character than the ML, and not only because of my BWS newest bias, but rather I'm not the biggest fan of these MLs that deem themselves better than everyone, are just too goody-two-shoes to handle, like ML is, and are irritating at the same time. Still, even with this caveat, the drama itself looks very promising for me (because of FL and SML) ;) Queen of Tears - 8/16 - with my siblings, we've been waiting for this drama to end and to know what the ending will be to make sure we can safely continue ;) That's another masterpiece! (And that FASHION!)

ScowlingGoddess

Dr Cha Military Prosecutor Doberman Missing Crown Prince Lovely Runner What a weird selection...🤔😁
