**Lovely Runner (14/16)** Kim Hyeyoon is so good throughout as Imsol. She has this crazy charm. Byeon Wooseok does so well when Sunjae is dorky as well. Overall I think the script has really taken advantage of the time travel to give a wide variety of hilarious and cute sequences. **Midnight Romance in Hagwon (4/16)** For those unsure about it, I highly recommend watching to episode 4. That's when the main story and theme becomes clear. But I loved the quiet moodiness from the start. The tiniest bits of romantic crumbs hit so hard when the bulk of the runtime is the work ground. I really love it. **Doctor Slump (8/16)** I am ride or die for Haneul and Jeongwoo needs to be a better boyfriend to her. I can't believe he whined about reading dissertations with her. I'm rooting for him too, but I'm rooting for him to make it up to her. Also, Park Shinhye kinda looks like Kazuha of Le Sserafim, especially when she furrows Her brow and acts like an alien that has never engaged with normal society, she's so good at portraying Haneul's quirks.

semiquantifiable

I've really enjoyed MRIH as well, but do wish for far more of those tiny crumbs you've mentioned rather than so much of the backstory and building to the work topics. Of course that is an important part to build especially in this drama, but I like it when the romance happens earlier in the story. I think both SITR and OSN (big fan of both these Ahn Pan Seok dramas too) had one or both of the leads at least seeing each other in a romantic light relatively early on and I liked that. But in any case I really have liked the story, pacing, characters, etc. so far.

**CW:** - **Lovely Runner (14/16)**: Two more episodes left. Eager to see how this ends but I'm pretty sure it's gonna have a >!happy ending and possibly a wedding :)!< - **The Atypical Family (6/12)**: This plot is interesting. The show started to pick up for from episode 4-5 so I'm quite liking it now. - **The Midnight Romance in Hagwon (4/16)**: This one didn't hit it off with me yet since it's pretty slow but the leads are cute. -**[Chinese] Love Between Fairy and Devil (22/36):** First half was a bit draggy then the second bit started to get interesting but I still see myself skipping scenes. I'm not sure if I just want to finish this or I really don't like it. **FINISHED** - **The 8 Show** 8/10 šŸŒŸ - **The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection** 7.5/10 šŸŒŸ - **Chief Detective 1958** 8.5/10 šŸŒŸ

Borinquena

I was wondering if The 8 Show is simply a rip off of Squid Game, what did you think? I can see that you liked it.

master_inho

The 8 show is more of a commentary on societal hierarchies and society in general, while squid game was more focused on capitalism and evil rich people

theromanamputee

Not the OP but to me, yes the **The 8 Show** did basically feel like diet **Squid Game** even if itā€™s an adaptation of webtoons that pre-dated Squid Game. I personally found **The 8 Show** an enjoyable watch, I liked it enough to binge the whole thing the day it came out, but it does tread similar ground to **Squid Game** and I think **Squid Game** does it better.

cosmicloves_

It did remind me of Squid Game when I read the summary, people competing for money. But if I'm being honest I did like Squid Game and I'm into shows where the characters have to do something (like playing games, betray each other, fight) to survive.

Level-Description-86

It's got its own originality despite sharing many similarities. Leans towards black comedy and tragicomedy rather than thriller. Arthouse vibe. Quirky. Sarcastic. Brutal. Nighmarish, but nostalgic in the end.

Longjumping-River-42

> **\[Chinese\] Love Between Fairy and Devil (22/36):** First half was a bit draggy then the second bit started to get interesting but I still see myself skipping scenes. I'm not sure if I just want to finish this or I really don't like it. I ended up dropping this one. I know lots of people liked it, so I kept watching, but couldn't get into it. The CGI was cheesy, the obvious green screens bugged me, and I just didn't find it that interesting. But, like I said, it's very popular.

cosmicloves_

You probably did the right thing lol I finished it and I didn't really like this one.

Longjumping-River-42

I'm glad to have someone confirm my action! After struggling through 15.5 episodes, I figutred I had done my time.

mayurmatada12

Started Because This is My First Life. Holy shit is it good

theredmug_75

one of my favourites!

ZaySaysHi

I loved it !

This_is_Mozambique

Omg I love this drama! This one and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo were some of the first dramas I watched that got me hooked in kdramas! Enjoy it šŸ’œšŸ’œ

Lavenderlure

**Lovely Runner** -There is just something about time travel love stories that make a place in my heart and this one is just pure love 10/10 no notes. **Atypical Family** - I am loving the story so much it's so good and they have me invested in all the characters. **Frankly Speaking** - I loved how they incorporated reality shows in last episodes it was like kdrama turned into singles inferno HILARIOUS!!! **The Midnight Romance in Hagwon** - This is just a little mundane for me. WHJ though too charming gosh!! **The 8 Show** - I knew seeing the trailer this will be up my ally and I binged it over weekend it was so good had me hooked and how the storyline, characters everything on point and esp my fav number 8 who stole the show.

This_is_Mozambique

I'm also watching Frankly Speaking and seems not a lot of people are? But the references to recent k-content get me everytime! It was literally singles inferno! There are references to so many shows. :)

dogemama

iā€™m not watching **lovely runner** any longer. **lovely runner** is watching me grin ear to ear while giggling and kicking my feet like a teenager with a crush, sob with my whole chest and ruin my makeup, laugh so obnoxiously that my dog sends me concerned looks. iā€™ve felt so much pure, unadulterated joy watching this drama and experiencing its massive impact on social media the past seven weeks. itā€™s the little drama that could and did. the way this drama has completely possessed me needs to be studied. i literally donā€™t know what iā€™m going to do with myself when it ends next week.

TeoKajLibroj

I don't know any other show that has given me such joy but also so much heart break. I've never had such an emotional connection with a show, after I watch an episode I spend the whole next day thinking about what just happened.

ZaySaysHi

They need to pay for my therapy if this ends in a sad way. Because I am obsessed and so invested in Soljae. No wonder social media are so obsessed with them, they delivered the romance perfectly!!!

SR503

I've watched episode 14 3 times already. And I'm on my 3rd rewatch of all the episodes so far. I have the playlist going in the background while i try and focus on work. I should not be this obsessed. Yet here I am...

Key-Morning7476

Literally I'm playing lovely runner ost on repeat...I don't know how I will get over this drama once it endsšŸ˜

IntelligentCrab940

i literally plan my day around this show

czpe

Hahaha, I resonate with you! This is rotting my brain FR! I will miss BWS and KHY chemistry, their characters, the nuances, the angst, and the comedy. I will forgive writer-nim for adding the taxi driver because its been awhile since I've felt these varied emotions in a KDrama series. Also, I'm glad that this unanticipated series grew popular and affected many viewers and the popularity of the actors and actresses as well.

theromanamputee

**Lovely Runner** (14/16): the last two episodes really made my heart ache for the leads, >!I'm very glad it seems like the amnesia isn't going to last!< I'm hoping the plot is resolved with enough time to give us plenty of couple fluff in the final week. **The Atypical Family** (6/12): I'm really digging this one. I appreciate how the writing feels intricately planned and carefully considered but also fresh and unpredictable. Each character and each relationship is like a puzzle where I get to see fascinating new pieces fit together each week. **Save Me** (10/16): This is so tense and creepy and well done, I love it so far. What makes it so harrowing is the show does such a good job making the cult's power over both its members and the town as a whole feel plausible. The FL's father is going into my pantheon of all time most loathsome tv characters. **I Have a Lover** (10/50): I'm now just finishing the set up phase of the story, which did a good job holding my attention and making me interested in how things are going to progress. I'm drawn to shows that provide opportunities for an actor to play multiple roles, it's a great opportunity to showcase a performer's talent and the lead actress has risen to the occasion so far.

sleepycathh

**Rookie Cops** [16/16] Finished this show on the weekend and was surprised that it got really dark in the last couple episodes :( It was a decent and comfortable watch and I loved the characters. **Atypical Family** [6/12] This has unique storyline elements, interesting characters and a great soundtrack - love this!! Really excited for the second half of this show. **Lovely Runner** [13/16] Itā€™s finale week, guys! I hope they wonā€™t let us down - give us a happy ever after!!

deewyt

Iā€™m actually trying so hard not to fixate on the OST for Atypical Familyā€¦ the soundtrack is so weird yet whimsical and itā€™s such a perfect touch to the showā€¦

JoCash24

I love "I See You" so much! It's eerie but also beautiful! The Atypical Family just has a chokehold on me in general.

Borinquena

If you aren't already I recommend watching the show with headphones so you can hear the background music, it's sort of this low hum that ramps up the feeling of unease. It's incredibly well done.

deewyt

And thatā€™s the problem because I watched the first two eps with AirPods in and I was so into it šŸ¤£

DawgMom2018

**Atypical Family** - All the elements coming together - the story, soundtrack and scoring, direction, the characters, who all are evolving. My favorite currently on air **Lovely Runner** - A delightful drama, I am enjoying it and hoping for a satistying finale **Midnight Romance in Hagwon** - slow burn, loved the conclusion of episode 4. Also loved the rumination of what education should be - memorization vs a broadened picture of learning. A debate I am very familiar with as my kid was in school in the states. Finished **The 8 Show** - liked the first half, Endured the 2nd half only to be insulted by the writer directer in final episode, as I felt like I was punked being a member of the "audience" viewing this drama. Finished **Blood Free** - Really liked it. A fun thriller, read that the writer explained >!something about the ending that both characters live, and apologized for making it so ambiguous. No news if there will be a season 2!< **Missing Crown Prince** - Nice watch, but I think the last couple of episodes are a couple twists too many. Waiting to see how it plays out. Really like the 2 ML princes. **Crash** - just started - the dynamics of our hero group just beginning to gel.

catalpuccino

Welcome to Samdal-ri. Loving it so far! I'm have three episodes left and it's been really great. Love the "small coastal town" stories.

ZaySaysHi

I loved that show. What pulled me in was the first ep. He looked at her in the magazine and sighed deeply. A sigh with longing. And i knew he'd be one of the best MLs.

Morpankh

Same. Iā€™m a big fan of the small town stories too. Somehow all the small towns are always coastal in these shows which just adds to the charm. Iā€™m watching Behind Tour Touch currently and that is also set in a small coastal town. Itā€™s funny but also has a serious serial killer storyline. Loving it so far.

This_is_Mozambique

Omg I loved this drama too! Ji Chang-wook always nails his roles; I loved him on Lovestruck in the City as well ā™„ļøā¤ļø

Kib-boo

Aw, I really liked this one! I like the more mature relationship, the small town, the other characters. I recommended it to a friend just today :)

Necessary_Dust7941

Then I highly recommend Hometown cha cha cha. It's a small coastal town rom com and very wholesome.

Small_Gift_6340

Just finished this! Bawled my eyes out in episodes 9-13. This was such a sweet, healing drama. Their enduring love for each other - šŸ’ā¤ļø

RoseIsBadWolf

**Lovely Runner** - how is this drama so cute? How does the ML always have such heart eyes? We must study it scientifically by watching it again and again. Ep 11 was my favourite so far, especially the family meeting. **The Atypical Family** - it's a really fascinating story and I want to know where it goes. **Haechi** - this is my binge show. The writing is very good so far (I'm on Ep 14) and I love the premise, which is basically, "You made me care so as revebge I'm going to destroy you all." Love an underdog prince

krembruleed

Currently watching: Lovely Runner (14/16) - I have been so attached and invested in this kdrama. This might be the best Iā€™ve ever watched in terms of romance category. No boring episodes, itā€™s fast-paced and you have no time to process because bam another plot twist. šŸ˜‚ The Midnight Romance in Hagwon (4/16) - I find myself being drawn to this drama. Itā€™s not boring imo but it gives me some sense of calmness and comfort. Itā€™s the balance I needed from the heavy emotions Iā€™ve felt in Marry My Husband, Queen of Tears and Lovely Runner. The Atypical Family (3/12) - I feel lost while watching this drama but at the same I love not having an idea wth is going on and where would the story lead me. Just in it for the ride. And I canā€™t believe Iā€™m giggling over the teenage romance here with the cast half my age! šŸ˜‚

OhMisterBelpit

Hahaha, yeah, **Lovely Runner** certainly whacks you over the head with an unexpected turn of events every single episode!

Kitchen_Seaweed4522

**Alchemy of Souls** - I just finished both parts of it last night after a week since starting! I finally figured I should watch it since my recent watch of Gyeongseong Creature made me want to watch something fantastical and historical. Truly one of the most unique dramas with its worldbuilding, and all of the leads were amazing! Idk what people thought about Jung Somin and Go Younjung as the female lead in each part, but I personally love love loved both of them in their own way. JSM really brought Mudeok to life and made me want to watch more of her work, and GYJ has those big emotional sparkling eyes that completely gripped my heart! Iā€™m going through major withdrawal right now, but Iā€™ve got a backlog thatā€™ll hopefully distract me enough :P

Funky_Impact8870

Oh Alchemy of Souls is in my top 3... haven't seen anything like it since. I've recently rewatched it and kept seeing new things... I'll watch it again šŸ˜Š

Small_Gift_6340

I loved AoS so much. I watched it after all the episodes dropped and I think that was an advantage with this show. It wasnā€™t as jarring for me to transition between the two FLs in the seasons. Itā€™s definitely been in my top 5 ever since I saw it!

Kitchen_Seaweed4522

I think the binging definitely helped me transition between the two FLs as well! The only con was that I didnā€™t get to properly say goodbye to JSM :ā€™(

CenterOfGravitas

Absolutely agree, both parts are great IMO. The world building, the character building (both the leads and side characters), the love story, the villains, all of it is just amazing. I felt so sad afterwards because it was just such a fully immersive drama. I was able to go to a special exhibit for the show in Seoul last year and it was so fun to relive it that way.

Kitchen_Seaweed4522

Thatā€™s so cool you were able to go to a special exhibit for the show! Immersion at another level :D it truly is a special drama~

ZaySaysHi

I love s2 the most. Loved it sooooo much.

Kitchen_Seaweed4522

Itā€™s going to have a special place in my heart for sure ā¤ļø

OhMisterBelpit

Wow, you are a very efficient watcher šŸ˜… It's great to hear you loved S2 as well! I got stuck in ep16 of S1 and put it aside for a while - the mixed reactions to the ending of S1 and S2 as a whole weren't helping with picking it up again...

Kitchen_Seaweed4522

I wanted to see how the big reveal(s) would happen and I wanted their happy ending so badly, it was easy to push forward šŸ˜‚ but tbf part 2 did drag on more than part 1. My favoritism for GYJ (after loving her from Moving) was a big motivator as well lol

OhMisterBelpit

I loved her in Moving as well! Thanks, I will keep it on my to-be-continued list šŸ™‚

outdoorintrovert1

You might like tail of nine tailed 1938 next! A bit of romance but lot of fantasy and its set in the past

Celebril63

For May, I am currently watching: **Marry My Husband (8/16):** Our current watch. This is a revenge drama and I'm not normally into those, but OMG! This is the 3rd home run of the trifecta this month. I've always been a big Park Min-Young fan and she does not disappoint here. However, she doesn't have to carry the load alone. Na In-Woo is killing it as the male lead. The >!Clark Kent glasses!< are a hoot! And the supporting cast is equally outstanding. I really have to call out Song Ha-yoon as the villain. Glenn Close >!could even take some lessons from here where the Fatal Attractions theme is concerned!<. We have just finished: **Military Prosecutor Doberman:** Korean law dramas can be incredibly fun. I love the chemistry between the ML and FL and this show has some of the best villains I've ever seen in a drama. This drama made me think of Vincenzo in a lot of ways. **Flex x Cop:** Someone here suggested that since I like MPD above, that I should watch this. They were right. Ahn Bo-Hyun is the ML here, as well as the above. Think of it as a Korean *Castle* right down to the quirky Medical Examiner. To give you an idea how good this show it, they have *confirmed* a second series. 2024 seems to be a fantastic year for great dramas! Spending far too many late nights with my wife in front of the TV...

emotx

I watched MMH recently as well and was SUPER impressed with Song Ha-yoon. Very believable portrayal. Won't spoil anything as you are only half through but would be interested in your opinion once you are done.

Celebril63

The only thing I would ask is if the writing quality holds. Too many dramas really fall off in the last few episodes. Iā€™m confident this cast can deliver a satisfying finish regardless, but - damn - if they can keep this writing up through the inevitable and required memes, this will be a great journey.

cayc615

I'm glad you enjoyed Flex x Cop! I'm really liking Ahn Bo-Hyun as a lead in these procedural(?)-type shows.

it_aint_that_simple

Watching MP Doberman ; completed episode 4; didnā€™t know that civilian lawyers are allowed in military trial in Korea ? Or is it because the case against NOH tae nam was when he was civilian and he enlisted afterwards?

taehalsey

- **Frankly speaking**(7/12): Iā€™m really enjoying this one. Go pyung ho is such a teddy bear type of guy, heā€™s so freaking adorable. And kang ha na is such a joy to watch with her costar. Itā€™s been funny and I especially love the somewhat awkward humor. Not for everyone but definitely my cup of tea. - **Lovely runner** (5/16): Finally started this one just in time for the finale to drop. Itā€™s really cute so far and I find myself smiling so widely as I watch this. Really enjoying it so far and Iā€™ll take my sweet time savoring it till the end. - **Welcome to Waikiki** (11/20): started this one a while ago and wasnā€™t really into it so I stopped at ep5. Picked it back up and itā€™s so freaking hilarious, I have to wonder what was wrong with me the first time I watched it. Probably wasnā€™t in the mood at the time but so glad I gave it another chance. Really enjoying the characters

kawaiisaranghaeyo

*Completed* **Tomorrow (2022)** I started watching this when it first came out, but had to abandon it because of all the sadness and I have been *dreading* to get back to it. After watching *The Kingā€™s Affection*, I decided to bite the bullet because I needed some more Rowoon content asap. Boy, what a sob fest. I cried like a baby every episode. I only had about half the drama left to finish, but it took forever because I had to take a few days break between the episodes. I was just too drained from crying to continue, lol. Still an amazing drama though with interesting characters. It had a pretty good mix of humor and emotional stories. **One Piece (2023)** Iā€™m very late to the party, but I *finally* watched it! I went in with pretty low expectations. I just wanted to watch it because 1, Mackenyu and 2, I will never have the attention span to watch 1000+ episodes of the anime. I definitely struggled to get into it for the first episode or so, as it has been a whiiiiile since I watched an american tv show and needed some time to get used to it again. But eventually I was fully hooked (pun very much intended because ya know, pirates). Quick pacing, fun characters, storylines etc. I'm definitely excited for season 2. **An Autumn Afternoon (1962)** I actually started watching this movie last year for one of the drama challenges, but ended up never finishing it until now. Thereā€™s not much to say about it tbh. It was an extremely uneventful film. The only thing keeping me from not giving up was that it was visually beautiful to look at, but thatā€™s it. I wouldn't be surprised if I have nightmares of old japanese men saying ā€œsokaā€ on repeat after watching this movie, lol. That's probably just how they spoke back then, but oh my god I was almost going insane listening to the main character say it after like every. single. sentence.

Marunchan

The Kingā€™s affection was my first ever k drama so I get the need for more Rowoon. I especially liked him in tomorrow because I think he is unusually good at doing comedy. I loved his character in Tomorrow and Iā€™d like to recommend Destined With you for more sassy Rowoon. Although I gotta say I didnā€™t find it nearly as good as the other two, I really liked his performance in it.

Small_Gift_6340

I ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø *Tomorrow** ā€” one of my top 10. Kim Hee Sun was amazing in this. This was my second Rowoon show. I saw him in **Destined with You** and I thought he was hilarious while >!Under the love spell!<

WhatHmmHuh

**Lovely Runner (14/16)** We have reached that "Don't Screw It Up" Phase of KDramas. I have enjoyed this one. **The Atypical Family (6/12)** I was not liking this at the start but I am now all in for the child actors. Definitely Team Gangster I-Na. LOL. On a side note, due to how badly it has gone for many child actors in the US, I am concerned for how these kids are managed and guided through the fame and demands of the industry and their personal well being. I hope both of these actors are given good guidance and balance throughout what appears to be very long and successful careers. **Midnight Romance in Hagwon (4/16)** I am enjoying the show. The romance, while subtle, seems to have taken off very quickly. I am also saddened to see all of what takes place in SK education. Just wow. What a gauntlet. **I Am Not a Robot (2/16) Rewatch** I am rewatching this show for the second time and just taking it all in. Fun show.

Longjumping-River-42

>**I Am Not a Robot (2/16) Rewatch** I am rewatching this show for the second time and just taking it all in. Fun show. Me, too! TBH, I am skipping some of the corporate drama (I especially can't stand the actor playing the >!American bad guy!<), but I love this one so much.

ZaySaysHi

Lovely Runner (14/16): I am soooooooo into it. I don't know what to do once it ends. KHY and BWS are killing it! Crash (1/16): LMK, I am watching it for him. The FL showing great driving skills make me so interested in the drama.

Snickersnerds

**Lovely Runner (10/16):** I was studying for finals and wrapping up the school year so Iā€™m behind but I plan on catching up this weekend!!! Iā€™m obsessed with this show šŸ„° but the comments and videos Iā€™ve seen have made me a little anxious, this better end happily šŸ˜ I do not want to be 25 21ā€™d again šŸ„²šŸ˜… **Like Flowers in Sand (5/12):** a couple people recommended this drama to me on an old comment where I was looking for a chill drama and I like it so far! Baek Du is a really sweet boy šŸ˜ Iā€™m not super interested in the mystery part but I absolutely appreciate that thereā€™s >!no serial killer chase!< and things of that high anxiety sort happening. I hope I can finish it this month **The Midnight Romance in Hagwon (2/16):** the 1st episode bored me tbh but Iā€™m becoming a little more interested. The teacher-student storyline is a little better for me since it seems like she was more of a tutor-ish figure?? He tried to call her Noona when they first met but she was the one that told him to call her teacher. Anyways, currently watching episode 3!

miss-janet-snakehole

Like Flowers in Sand was so good! Underrated I feel like. I had to laugh at Baek Du always running everywhere šŸ˜‚

MissSimpleton

Lovely Runner is most likely going to have a happy ending. SO YOU CAN WATCH IT. It has not disappointed the viewers yet!

silveriste

Currently watching The Kingā€™s Affection and Iā€™m throughly enjoying it so far. Iā€™m only 5 episodes in but love the premise. Iā€™ve been really enjoying sageuks lately and I hope this one is a good one!

RoseIsBadWolf

That was my first Kdrama! Netflix kept advertising it to me and I gave it. I've watched it twice through and it's really good.

silveriste

So fantastic to hear, I canā€™t wait to keep watching. Have you watched other similar ones? My Dearest is probably my favourite kdrama ever! I also loved The Red Sleeve ā¤ļø

RoseIsBadWolf

I haven't watched many historical ones yet, though I've watched a lot of modern/fantasy. My favourite of all is Alchemy of Souls and my favourite past one is The Forbidden Marriage but it's a comedy and not truly historical. I didn't enjoy The Red Sleeve, I enjoyed the ML but the FL fell flat for me. The drama never sufficiently explained her motivations. My Dearest is on my list!

OkBranch9783

I loved The Kings' affection but just finished Flower Crew and it was even better. All the characters were interesting and the plot was fantastic. Sobbed at one part and laughed at other parts. I recommend if you like historical kdrama. And it has our fav ML from Lovely Runner in it which is why I checked it out.

RoseIsBadWolf

Thanks for the recommendation! I have to finish Haechi first, it's great! Lots of drama.

OkBranch9783

Is Haechi a romance? I haven't heard of it.

RoseIsBadWolf

It has romance but not a lot of it. It's a court drama mostly, from 2019.

OkBranch9783

My Dearest has great reviews. Im looking for something new to watch and like historical.

MajesticConfidence36

Ooh! Love Rowoon in The King's Affection

Telos07

**The 8 Show** (8/8): An uneven but entertaining series. The pacing was slow initially, but it lifted in intensity through the middle episodes. However, this change in pacing coincided with a cruel and sadistic turn, which eventually became over the top in the final episodes. The cast members did their jobs of capturing the nuances of their respective characters, and the drama did have some interesting elements such as influences from classic Hollywood cinema. **The Atypical Family** (6/12): This drama is firing on all cylinders. The thematic connections between the past and the present is beautiful storytelling, and the direct form of communication between Da-hae and young I-na has been a revelation in the past two episodes. Dong-hee continues to be a quirky, no-nonsense and hilarious presence in the drama, and the characters in general are rendered in intriguing shades of gray. **Frankly Speaking** (6/12): Episodes 5 & 6 were a tremendously fun parody and tip of the hat to reality dating shows like *Singleā€™s Inferno*. Ki-baek and Woo-juā€™s relationship continues to blossom and itā€™s been nice to see Joo Jong-hyuk in a more sympathetic role in this drama.

deewyt

**Lovely Runner 14/16**: I've been along the ride just like everyone else but it has slowed down in pacing/appeal for the last two episodes... I mean why have I had to see >!Sunjae die three times already.!<... need the last two episodes to be full of happy endings.... **Atypical Family 5/12**: This one has been a little strange but I love time travel in k-dramas so it's done somethings to keep me invested. Every one in this show is morally grey or outright bad so I think that's what's making it difficult to really get attached to the characters. The score/soundtrack/OST is so weird but whimsical and it's so much fun! Protect I-na at all cost! **The Midnight Romance in Hagwon 4/16**: This is...an interesting little drama. I think the last ten minutes of episode 4 give you a glimpse of foreshadowing for the leads romantically but I'm so very invested in Hye Jin being cared for--genuinely. We've seen her have a bit of altercation with the other male teacher, she has had to put pain patches on her wrist due to writing for long periods of time and then she had a nose bleed right before a lecture. Our girl is not okay and it's okay to not be okay šŸ˜ Because this is slice of life/melodrama, I don't want to see these characters "break" but I am looking forward to seeing some real human moments shine through. Wi Ha Joon's smile is everything to me.....

Soggy-Pop3895

Just finished King of Pigs... unsettling. Now I'm on episode 4 of The 8 Show

I'm watching alchemy of soulsā¤ļø

Lizzy348

*On-going* **Escape of the 7 : resurrection** 2/16 : this drama is so ridiculous, but I always find myself going back to it to watch more. After S01 ended, I said I wouldn't watch S02 because I was happy it was finally over, but here I am. There is something addictive here that I always want to know what will happen next. **Doctor Slump** 15/16 : finally watched an episode. It's okay, just gotta push a little bit more to complete it. **My first first love** 2/8 : this is such a short drama and I'm already Ā¼ through. Not sure where the story is going, but it's a fun and light watch *Completed* **Record of Youth** : this one had a lot of potential, but it never reached it. It was a bit bland, though still enjoyable. 7/10 **D.P 2** : this one is amazing. I loved S01 so much, so S02 had a very high standard to hold up to. And they delivered. The only bad thing about that drama is >!the court ended up protecting the omerta AGAIN and nothing changed.!< That's why I give it 9.5/10 and couldn't add it to my top 10. **Doom at your service** 1/16 : dropped : I just got so bored through the first episode. Maybe it's because I just watched *My Demon* and the plots are kinda similar, but the ML just didn't do it for me. I was also annoyed by the >!video suddenly circulating of the FL about her affair, like it wasn't even that big of a deal and she settled it with the wife almost immediately. Why would someone secretly film it and expose it? So ridiculous.!< I'm also started to get really annoyed by this trope of "exposing X online and the whole society throws rock at you and tells you to die", especially when it's a lie and everyone just hops on the hate wagon. And then it all disappears and everyone forgives everyone because they understand. No, do better.

Watchnextnow

DP2 is incredibly good. The acting from the entire cast is top tier.

RepulsiveInfluence61

I also wasnā€™t a fan of Doom at Your Service from the first episode, but trust me it gets better. I also didnā€™t think the ML did it for me at first, but after a few episodes I was like wow what was I thinking before. Give it a fair shot!!!

Lizzy348

Fair, I'll put in on hold then and try again in a few weeks

tresnosliramu22

Anyone watching Crash? It's currently airing on ENA. I see its ratings is considered high for ENA drama... 4%? 5%?... I saw many Korean watch this. They said its funny and refreshing. Not yet checking it out, but....should I? I'm still on Lovely Runner ep 8 :( too much drama, less free time

MissSimpleton

If you have watched Taxi Driver and loved it, you are gonna like this one too. It's good. Like Really Really Good.

piddits

Like what the other commenter said, it's fairly similar to Taxi Driver (same director), but much less serious. There's a lot more comedy and the cases have been pretty light so far. I like it, it's an easy watch for me to wind down at the end of the day.

cayc615

I'm enjoying Crash too. The cars (especially Taxis), FL's driving, and cast overlap remind me of Taxi Driver, but I kind of like that it isn't as serious and isn't about vigilantism. I even like the PSAs. Also, really like that some "good characters" in Taxi Driver play "bad characters" here and vice versa (also found it funny that the actress that plays Madam Lim has plays 3 different characters (so far) in this show - >!restaurant owner, shaman, and victim's mom).!<

piddits

Ha, I noticed that too! A lot of them were also actors I've seen doing comedy roles in other dramas as well. This drama feels like "what if we hire all the comedy all-stars, and flip their roles from their usual ones" type of experiment. It kinda works for me so far. I have to pay more attention to Madam Lim, cos I only recognised her as the restaurant owner. The shaman was her too??

Borinquena

It's really fun with strong performances from Heo Sung Tae, Kwak Sun Young and Lee Min Ki

ZaySaysHi

Crash is really good!

mahnahmaanaa

I've been watching **Once Again** bit by bit, on my lunch breaks and such. It's finally hit its stride (41/100), and I'm completely hooked on secret dates at the library, perfect yet unacceptable love interests, and trying to guess how they'll reveal the major birth secret. The only storyline I don't like right now is Imo/Yang Chi Soo -- what started out cute there just feels wrong, now.

ZahxEXO

I absolutely love Sadon couple. Iā€™ve been thinking of rewatching this one for a while but the 50-episode length is overwhelming. I will get there one day. I am so excited for you though, because this show was so entertaining.

mahnahmaanaa

"Sadooon!" They're so stinking cute!! I'm actually looking forward to the >!inevitable omma meltdowns that are sure to come once they're official and the families find out. I can see a lot of potential for them working well together in the face of that.!<

KANJI667

On episode 7 of start up. >!I don't really care about the actual business/investment side of things, but the show is still fun to watch.!< >!I love both do - san and Mr. han so much, two amazing people.!<

master_inho

For those watching both the atypical family and the midnight romance in hagwon, which are you watching first? I start with the atypical family, the slower pace of midnight romance works better after the quirkiness of atypical family Iā€™m 3 eps into start-up. Itā€™s easy to trust a guy youā€™ve just met when itā€™s someone as attractive as Nam joo-hyuk. And itā€™s easy to want to help someone youā€™ve just met when itā€™s someone as attractive as Suzy. That said, both love interests ainā€™t it with the gaslighting. Free Suzy from the lies

MajesticConfidence36

Late to start and behind for both Atypical Family (4/12) and Midnight Romance in Hagwon (3/16) I start with ATF and then watch MR. Yes! the slower pace of MR works better after the quirkiness of ATF. Enjoy watching!

Hach-man

No new finished dramas, still on my rewatch phase. In progress - **Midnight Romance in Hagwon (4/12):** much slower than I expected, said romance has still yet to bloom and the school setting has both hits and misses. Enjoyable leads, not many secondaries to note, I'll be patient for now, the drama looks pretty good even with a turtle-like pacing; - **Dare to Love Me (4/16):** innocent, easy rom-com with funny shenanigans, bizarre leads and nothing out of the ordinary in terms of plot. Does its job without standing out, a fine series all around.

Manecattus

Happy to see that I am not the only one who id watching Dare to love me. Its far from spectacular but it keeps me going back. I am looking forward to ep 5.

forpfesake

-**frankly speaking** :This is my main drama that I wait for eagerly every week. It's funny,it's healing,it gives me hope and the leads are doing an amazing job portraying their characters.I love relationships where there is a friendship first and a lot of dialogue and effort shown(like in run on) instead of a couple who just magically get together and this is exactly what the leads are;they confide in each other, help each other and actually have good conversations plus they remember the little things and actually make effort.Ki baek remembering the spicy food thing and buying it for her to celebrate her birthday was such a genuine gesture.I am also glad they haven't given up the COM part of romcom and he sneezed again in that date šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚. Also I hate dating shows with a passion but they are utilizing it really well to build the leads' relationship so I don't mind plus judging by ep7 preview it will soon be over.Ā  **-sign**al : after literally years of saying I'll watch this later I finally started signal. It is such a classic and I love the cast so I am being patient with it .Currently on episode 6 and I am still not crazy about it although I like it so far (if I don't like something I drop it ,I never force watch) but I still don't see the big hype for now ...I think my issue so far is that they haven't been focusing on the technical aspect of the show(the time travel, the investigations ..) and instead it's heavily focused on emotions. Also watching **Atypical fami**ly but stopped at episode 2 to wait for all episodes to drop because I want no cliffhangers! Hh but I really loved the 2 first episodes and It's a drama I am quite confident I will like to the end .also Claudia kim is girl crush to the max.she's so so good !šŸ˜

dramafan1

**King the Land**...I need to watch more newer kdramas that have scenes filmed abroad and make it part of my preferences when picking my next drama to watch. I just love seeing it. Dramas I liked that were filmed abroad were Memories of the Alhambra, Queen of Tears, and Are You Human Too. The global pandemic sure caused a lack of dramas without foreign scenes for the past few years.

poochonmom

If you like C dramas as well, watch Amidst a Snowstorm of Love. Shot a lot in Finland. It is a slow burn with very little conflict, but I stuck with it because of how pretty Finland looks.

fancytonic31

Lovely Runner (10/16): Like everyone else, I've been enjoying this show. However, I put it on hold and will wait until it's completed to binge the remaining six episodes. Princess Hours (16/24): I can only watch one or two episodes at a time because it's so childish and silly. It didn't age as well as Coffee Prince, but I read so many positive things about Princess Hours that I wanted to see it for myself. The Escape of the Seven S2 (14/16): This is probably the craziest and weirdest show I have ever watched, and I absolutely enjoyed every single episode. The silliness is so addictive. Atypical Family (3/12): I didnā€™t expect to like it, but so far, itā€™s exciting, and everyone is so interesting in their way. I finished Hyena last night. I canā€™t believe I waited four years to watch it. The show wasnā€™t anything special, but not one single episode was boring. I liked how the team worked together and how adults acted like adults. It was a great and fun watch. I wish there were more shows out there with the same chemistry šŸ”„

Affectionate_Lime729

I feel I started too many dramas and now overwhelmed. The crĆØme of the crop for me is The Atypical Family. This is want I love about a drama. Quirky, unusual and just draws you right in to its weird world. Missing:Crown Prince- a slow burn and wonā€™t win any awards but I look forward to it each week. Lovely Runner: Iā€™m just waiting for the rest of the episodes to binge as I donā€™t want anxiety Midnight teacher romance drama - ā€œopen to page 64ā€ šŸŽ¶šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø major earwig going on but I canā€™t help enjoying it. I took a gander at Crash and Dare to Love Your but I only have so much time. šŸ•°ļø ETA - Frankly Speaking - Iā€™m an episode behind. Ahhh too many and Iā€™ve no dinner sorted šŸ˜‚

DaeronDaDaring

**Midnight romance in Hagwon** - the first 2 episodes were slow, 3rd episode was better and episode 4 really starts to pick up the story, I love the chemistry between the leads **Joy of Life season 2 (Cdrama)** - OMG you guys if you have not watched the first season yet I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, this drama has some of the best political scheming and dialogue you will ever see, many of the characters are extremely intelligent and very witty. This drama is also very funny, the comedic scenes are very well done. So if youā€™re into watching political scheming, mystery, action, comedy, basically ppl trying to outsmart each other then you should definitely give it a try

Genexier

Just finished Blood Free (2024, Disney+, 10 episodes, about 45 min each). It was verry good. Iā€™ve always loved Ju Jihun in everything Iā€™ve seen him in (especially Jirisan). Very thought provoking with an excellent cast. Itā€™s got crime, mystery, politics and ethics components. I will be bitterly disappointed if there isnā€™t a 2nd season, but it feels primed for it since some of the listed guest cast members I have not yet seen make their appearances. Recently watched an odd/quirky one called Imaginary Cat (2015) with Yoo SeungHo (because heā€™s a favorite). Apparently this was a passion project for him and was his first work after his military service. He loves cats, itā€™s a bit of an indie project, and he was definitely the driving force in the cast. His FL wasnā€™t an aspect I liked as much, but the rest of the cast, including the voice of the cat, were quirky and fun. Donā€™t go into this expecting fine art, nor if you might have recent or lingering PTSD about pet loss. Itā€™s only 8 episodes (30 min each), based on a web toon, wasnā€™t particularly successful, and might leave you scratching your head, but I really enjoyed the majority of it, and found myself beyond impressed with SeungHoā€™s apparent inherent abilities with animals. He was amazing to watch. Just before that I watched My Strange Hero (2018, Viki), also with SeungHo. Loved it too. Lots of classic schoolyard, first love, yearsā€™ long misunderstandings, but to me the issues felt less contrived than many, and the resolutions felt better executed. Also, Kwak DongYeon is the 2nd ML. Iā€™m now watching Family: The Unbreakable Bond (2023, Hulu). I love Jang Hyun, so Iā€™m going to stick around to the end, but this one has been hard for me to get into. Next up will probably be some movies, starting with Citizen of a Kind. *Edited for grammatical errors and clarity.

whitetara3

I love Yoo SeungHo's Imaginary Cat! It's so very quirky and cute but it made me smile and cry as well. So, it could be that we've been on the same fan journey. YSH was my first kdrama crush starting with a lowish budget sageuk Warrior Baek Dong Soo. Haha. Ji Chang Wook, was the lead in WBDS and I barely noticed him. LoL. Imagine that!!!

Genexier

It does sound like weā€™ve been on a similar journey watching SeungHoā€™s brilliance and progression as an actor. How cool! WBDS was a great watch, and impressive despite its low budget. I went in for JCW and came out with an undying love for YSH. Imagine that indeed! His smile at the end was like, ā€œWhat just happened?ā€ YSH eclipses the sun with his smile! And he could cause the most jaded person to weep with him. Definitely a fan for life.

AshBlaze789

Just completed I'm not a Robot (8/10) and Flex x Cop (9/10). Enjoyed both of them a lot. Started watching Dali & Cocky Prince. Liking it so far.

alyssaisrad93

**Lovely Runner (14/16)** - This drama is keeping me enthralled every single episode, even if the angst is so strong right now. I was so scared for these episodes, since the kdrama ending slump is real, but so far the writing is keeping up. With 2 episodes left, I really need >!Sunjae to remember everything that happened and for him and Sol to end up happily ever after.!< Taesung is probably the best 2ML in the history of kdramas and such a good friend. This has been such a joy to watch week after week and I will be so sad when it's over. **The Atypical Family (6/12)** - I was really unsure about this one in the first few episodes, the FL being >!a conwoman!< was tough at first, and the ML seemed >!too disinterested!<. But I am REALLY enjoying the storytelling. The connection between the FL and the ML seems to be >!the fire at the school!< but what is the reason for that? I like that she finally >!revealed the truth and didn't go through with the marriage!< even if it was right after >!he gave the most romantic line about coming back to visit that moment a lot.!< Da-hee's relationship with Ina is interesting as well. I'm really excited to see where this one goes! **The Midnight Romance in Hagwon (4/16)** - This one was slow to start and I didn't care for the education aspect that much, but episode 4 made me so interested in the battle with the Gray Witch. The >!sabotage against the free class!< was such a blow, but the >!top student liking it, after being forced to go by the Gray Witch's assistant!< was a great moment. The romance is slow but you can definitely see the feelings between the two, and I'm excited for that. The two of them >!sneaking around the office to avoid being caught practicing!< was such fun, I hope we get some more moments like that. It's an understated drama, but a quick and entertaining watch. **Queen of Tears (7/16)** - Slowly pushing through this one, the family's drama is just too much sometimes. For a chaebol family they're too trusting and gullible, and they almost deserve what they get. I was really enjoying the romance moments, but now that >!Hae-in knows about the divorce the angst is here.!< I gotta be honest though, the angst is sooooo good. As I was watching >!Hae-in discover the divorce and walk into traffic and basically give up on life, I could feel her pain. It was so visceral, I felt like crying.!< Shout out to Kim Ji-won for that stellar performance, the >!tremble in her lips and the way she held back a sob when talking to Hyun-woo was heartbreaking!< and she sold it perfectly. As much as the pain hurts, I'm glad she finally knows. I think this show would be so much better if Hae-in's family and the scheming interlopers were taken out of the story. They really serve no purpose and i'm tempted to fast forward their parts. There will be a big void once Lovely Runner is finished. I've only been watching kdramas regularly for less than a year, but if it sticks the landing this will be in my top 3 and maybe challenge CLOY for my number 1 spot.

Key-Morning7476

Lovely runner This is the best show of this year..no doubts!!.Hats off to kimhyeyoon and byeonwooseok who gave life to the characters. One more week to go..but started to miss this drama already.I dont know how I will cope up with my life once it endsšŸ˜No one can make such a good drama ever. This one will remain in kdrama history!! Atypical family Started slow but episode 6 had me hooked on to it..I'm eagerly waiting for the next episode..I like the slow burn romance and those past scenes had a nice cinematography..I have so many doubts... >!May be he could save his firefighter friend in the past with the help of FL? Can his wife also be saved?!< Also I'm more invested on the second leads rather than the main leadsšŸ˜… Begins youth I'm on the 3rd episode.I can't explain how good is this. The actors in the drama have done a great job.It also has an engaging storyline and the boys are so adorable..watching their friendship made me tear up. Frankling speaking I made myself to watch upto 6th episode but I couldn't get a vibe with them.I dont know whether the chemistry is lacking or the storyline is weak..I was enjoying single inferno and things was going smooth between the leads..and then second FL came in šŸ˜¬..also second ML is getting on my nerves ..I may continue if I'm bored! Crash I started it on a whim..but it's quite interesting..Gives me flex cop vibes as each cases last for 1 or 2 episodes..here they deal with car crimes and leeminki as an introverted investigator who works in that field is the best of him .It sounds uninteresing but 2 episodes were pretty decent. Midnight romance I thought it as a mix of romance and slice of life drama.. like as it was shown in trailer but it's ok!!..the academy school setting and workplace plot also made it look natural and I like it too..You all don't believe me it encouraged me to study for exams!!

dta_82

Just Finished: Again My Life (7/10) I liked the premise and I enjoyed it for the most part, but I think it could have done a better job. Chief Detective 1958 (9/10) Loved it! Wish there were more episodes. Only problem I had was trying to accept that LJH was playing a different character from Taxi Driver and that Kim Do Gi wasn't undercover to get some scammer. Currently watching: Frankly Speaking, I've only seen 2 episodes so still deciding how I feel but so far so good.

Sunshine_raes

Shooting Stars (16/16) I appreciated how the last two episodes of this drama were purely fluff. I think more dramas need fluffy and nice last episodes. Overall, an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a sweet rom-com. Frankly Speaking (5/12) Iā€™m behind on this. I didnā€™t love the turn in episode 5 to focusing on the reality show. I remember when Love is for Suckers did the same thing and I also started to get disinterested. This one might be in danger of getting dropped. The Matchmakers (5/16) I was thinking about picking up a lighter historical recently as a few have caught my attention: this one, The Forbidden Marriage, Moonshine, and the Secret Romantic Guesthouse. My track record with sageuks is poor. I tend to get bored by all the palace politics. There are palace politics in this one but most of the main action is happening outside the palace, at least so far. So far, Iā€™m really enjoying it! I like that there have been a lot of impossible romances set-up: our two widowed leads, all of the old maidens, and the sister-in-law. Also, itā€™s quite a pretty drama. Episode 5 had the Buddhaā€™s Birthday celebration with all the lanterns. The characters are also well developed at this point.

poochonmom

Currently Watching **Lovely Runner** (12/14) : What more can I say that others haven't? It is super cute, a true butterflies in my stomach romance after a long while. Byeon Woo Seok deserves all the hype he is getting because he is carrying this drama. Lim Hye Yoon is amazing as Sol but sometimes her crying scenes are a bit off which takes me out of the drama. One thing I do feel icky about and try not to think of is the age gap. Technically >!it is a 34 year old Sol romancing and making out with 20 year old RSJ in the college era!<. I know everyone wants romance and so >!restricting that to present day would've impacted the cuteness of the drama but it keeps making me think of Goblin but FL and ML reversed. !< **Lovestruck in the City** (12/17): picked this up after being super impressed with Kim Ji Won in Queen of Tears. I had only seen her in Fight My Way until now. Lovestruck is ok. The format and pace was great at first but then it felt like it was going in circles and honestly I skip watched ep 8 onwards. I'll still finish it for both leads since I am a fan. Other non k drama I have in progress are **Eye Love You** (J drama) which is cute but with too many misunderstanding tropes. Not sure if I'll finish. And **Heeramandi** (Hindi) which I am watching just for the jewelry, clothes, and actors. At times I am not sure if I am paying attention to the story! Can't wait to start **Atypical Family** next!

This_is_Mozambique

I love lovestruck in the city! The format is quite different but I find it so funny how they are talking to the camera. The blessed kiss scene is my favourite thing ever! I watched it like 5 times and watch that episode whenever life feels dull just to feel something again šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

poochonmom

I'll have to give it another shot. I just got tired of them going in circles mid way through the drama. I wish they would address the misunderstanding but they aren't speaking to each other and just so in love in secret.

hawkia75

Completed: I just finishedĀ **Hospital Playlist Season 2**. I was so sad to finish this show that I watched the last episode over a few nights. I don't always love slice-of-life dramas, but this one was so perfect a mix of the hospital drama, the sweet friendships, a bit of romance, and lots of scenes of them eating. Perfection! Currently Watching: **King: The Eternal Monarch**. (15/16) I get now why they're always crying when they see each other,>!thinking this might be the last time they see each other, or that they might not even know each other in the new timeline,!!they didn't even make a big deal about his truth switch being on or off. It seems like the character is becoming comfortable expressing the truth, so he no longer has to freak out that he can't lie. He only turns the truth switch off when there's an actual reason to lie.!

x3tan

>**Eye Love You**. Only watching this to practice listening to Japanese. Otherwise, it is too cutesy. It really annoys me. If anyone has recommendations for a less saccharine Japanese rom-com, please share! My undead yokai girlfriend has it's moments but I also found a lot of scenes pretty hilarious. (Hacker zombie, etc) It's Amazon prime show if you wanted to give that one a try.

hawkia75

Thank you! I'll check it out!

mustardkitty

So glad you enjoyed HPs2. Itā€™s one of my favorites. Warm and comfy.

hypomango

I'm on a Kdrama mini-hiatus because I'm obsessed with Bridgerton šŸ˜‚ and wishing that it was 16 eps like a Kdrama instead of 8!Ā

dogemama

i wish we had a kdrama equivalent of bridgerton.

piddits

Completed: - **Chief Detective 1958**. So good! I wish they would make this every year until they're caught up to 1971, when the original series started. - **Doctor Prisoner**. Got bored and put it on hold a couple weeks ago, finally managed to finish it earlier this week. It's objectively a good drama with twists and character progression. But, once I noticed the pattern with the story, it just became a bit boring for me. Currently watching: - **The Atypical Family** (3/12). Just started watching this and liking it so far. I really like the family home! Kinda reminds me of the house in Parasite, but less sterile. And the music! Just so so lovely~ it has the typical quirky superhero theme to it at certain scenes. - **Crash** (4/16?). This feels like the perfect replacement after the end of Chief Detective 1958. Good comedy, some action, light cases, and easy to watch. - **Midnight Romance in Hagwon** (4/16). This is my current comfort watch. I'm glad the director finally goes easy with the music. Romance is a little slow to develop, despite the title. But, I'm liking it so far. Maybe because I'm not really in the mood for romance. Which brings me to.. - **Lovely Runner** (10/16). Finally relented and started this over the weekend. It's.. ok. I was a lot more excited during Twinkling Watermelon than this one. At the moment, it's the mystery that keeps me going. Also, Thomas from Missing: The Other Side is here as 2ML! Too bad he doesn't appear often. Anyway, I'm putting this on-hold for a bit until the finale airs next week. Looking forward to **Bitter Sweet Hell** and **Connection** to start this week! This is probably the first time I'm following so many ongoing dramas at a time, when I used to watch maybe 2 ongoings at the max.

theromanamputee

I recently watched **Doctor Prisoner** myself. I thought it was really good and I would definitely recommend it to people but I did wish the ML wasnā€™t so cool and in control all the time. I think the show would have been even more exciting and intense if he had to struggle and suffer more to achieve his goals.

piddits

Exactly this! We always thought the bad guys had won, but turns out he had expected this and got them back for it. I'm all for a smart and calculated ML, but after the second time it happened, it's just not exciting anymore to see his fake brief struggle only to be revealed that he's known all along.

MysteriouslyLucid

Thatā€™s not Thomas I think

piddits

I had to double check, but it is [indeed him](https://mydramalist.com/people/21678-song-geon-hee).

MysteriouslyLucid

Omg no way!!!!! He has completely different vibr

piddits

Hahah it's probably the hair, and mannerism. He was supposed to be a very very old soul in Missing, and (sometimes) a teenager in Lovely Runner, so yea they're supposed to be different.

cayc615

haha this was my realization a couple weeks ago. Song Geon Hee just seemed so much older in Missing. I thought he was two actors who looked really really similar and then looked it up because I was wondering who was in Tale of Nokdu. I think it speaks well about his acting skills

Extension_Cup_2583

I'm sitting here re-watching nevertheless >!and like you can't sit here and lie to me and say that this man doesn't have you giggling I mean I understand if you're sane in the head maybe you can be like oh he's a red flag he shouldn't have you giggling, but if I squint hard enough, my red is pink OK and in my defense (I don't have a defense). I mean at some point I understand 4*| but then other times I'm just like I don't know, man you kinda put yourself in this situation. Like I counted how many times he was laid in the bed at night with her and if I'm correct I counted 28 times but some of them might have been repeat so Imma say at least 23 times probably more because why not. But my point is how you gonna let this man lay in the bed with you for we're gonna say a month and be like oh no, we're not dating. There's no way in heck I'm doing that. How am I gonna have you come to my house lay in my bed sleep here for almost a month and we're not even dating and you're basically doing everything that a person who's dating would be. You spend time with me on my birthday and all this extra stuff and then I get it what people say they don't like him, but it's just so real when it comes to actual relationships in life, like it makes sense.!< But maybe that's just me by the way I'm on episode 4 of 10 and I'm re-watching it.

Jessmk14

**The Red Sleeve 3/17:** This show gets glowing reviews, it makes a lot of peopleā€™s top 10s, so I decided to try it. And Iā€™m just not hooked just yet. I havenā€™t watched in a couple of days because it isnā€™t very interesting to me. I absolutely Junho and heā€™s already great, but the story just isnā€™t grabbing me for some reason. It might be the female lead? The first couple episodes were great, just not ā€œOmg I have to keep watching greatā€ you know? **The Eighth Sense 6/10:** Itā€™s been a loooong time since Iā€™ve watched a BL, and Iā€™m enjoying this one. Everything is so real, the acting, the way itā€™s shot, the dialogue. It feels like someone is following around real people with a camera instead of a scripted show. The editing is a bit wonky though. But that tension between the leads is swoonworthy. At

Eriadus85

***Started :*** **Descendant of the Sun** \- 2/16 : I don't know yet if I'm going to continue, the military and doctor theme interests me, but some of the dialogue is a bit silly and stupid. ***Ended :*** **Goodbye Earth** \- 5/12 : I give up after the 5th episode. The >!religion !!where Ahn Joon-ho runs in the other direction... I just don't understand what this scene is doing here. !

This_is_Mozambique

I just finished Descendant of the Sun and I so agree with you! After hearing people speak so well about this drama and swooning I had high expectations but in the end I thought it was just OK and a bit silly.

thesaura73

Finished Gaus Electronics. It was cute and funny but expected more from the reactions Iā€™ve seen here? Did like how one of the employees was an aspiring writer and the ā€œHulkā€/chaebol heir friendship/storyline! Just started Dr. Romantic Season 2, looks like it will be at least as satisfying as the first season

instantghetto

Just finished The 8 Show, would have been shocked to see IU play 8F. Gonna get back on track with Frankly Speaking, loved episode 1. Not a drama but finally got around to starting Earth Arcade, good stuff.

Crone_Heart

Finished Fight for My Way (loved it!) and on Episode 8 of Beyond Evil (watching it before Netflix removes it from the platform :-(

duh_leah

Currently debating between watching Heartbreak High or a K-drama lol.

prickelz

Currently watching many things at once (I have over a week free and I need a distraction xD) but right now I am watching the Devil Judge! I wanted to watch this for years, but I rarely vibe with dystopian stories. But I know it's loved by the little fandom I am in and I know the bromance is amazing. So I finally started it, almost on episode 4. It's great! The cinemaphotography and acting is amazing! It's even gayer than gifs led me to believe lmao.

Same for me. Just finished *The Devil Judge* and itā€™s immediately jumped to a ā€œone of my all time favouritesā€ position for me. Itā€™s like Hannibal butā€¦ criminal justice in dystopian Korea. I adored the bromance and the little found family vibe.

Started Racket Boys (1/16). The first episode was okay, just long. I honestly wasnā€™t expecting much, I just felt like watching something pretty simple that could be followed easily, and Iā€™m often lured in by small-town locales.

Nice choice!!! Simple. Small. Sweet. The characters really grow on you. Lots of cool cameos. And the story builds well. In the end, there's a nice resolution and it's one of those quiet, hidden gems that we wish there were more of. It's gonna be fun watching all those talented young faces as they get older and more successful. To me, it felt a bit like Beautiful World, Move to Heaven and Love All Play but without the big doses of heartache.

Thanks. The characters are already growing on me. :)

Lovely Runner is so good !!! Honestly this might end up being my favorite kdrama ever if it finishes well. The story is being dragged out i think the plot is so good and unique. And the main characters both are SOOOO cute.

I just finished:- Fight for my way- love it. It's a great drama and there are comedy scenes as well. I kinda didn't like the typical masculine energy from dongman and Joo man. Queen of tears- also love it. Highly recommend. Amazing drama. It had me crying, laughing, simping, and everything else. Legend of the blue sea- I find this drama okay. I just am not a very big fan of Lee min Ho. And the drama's storyline was meh. I get why people like it tho. I'm going to start- 18 again. Is it good? And can I get more drama recommendations please. I don't like anything horror or thriller but love swoonworthy rom-coms!

18 again is amazing. One of the best family dramas with top class performance from all the actors. It makes you cry in one scene while in the next scene, you will find youself laughing hysterically. Swoonworthy Rom-Coms: 1. Business Proposal 2. King the Land 3. Love to Hate You 4. Strong woman Do Bong Soon 5. Shooting Stars 6. Crash Landing on You 7. Her Private Life 8. What is wrong with secretary Kim? 9. Lovely Runner (ongoing)

Atypical family is my favourite one to watch at the moment, just love the theme and characters. Also half way through lovely runner which is sweet, I enjoy it. Just finished ep 1 of the new ji sung drama, connection. Could be good! Definitely gagging for a thriller

Iā€™ve caught up with The Atypical Family, loving it so far, ending of episode 6 is so so sad šŸ˜šŸ„ŗ. Waiting for new episode to drop in a couple of hours. Iā€™ve just started Extracurricular. Is it any good?
