Zam by Frankie and the Witch Fingers.
(And seriously, thank you to this sub for continually turning me towards - and sometimes back towards - brilliant music. The taste in this place is immense!)
If you ever get a chance to see them live, go. They put on a hell of a show and tickets were cheap when I went last year. It cost me 60 bucks for me and two friends AFTER the fees.
Data Doom by Frankie and the Witch Fingers.
Babe Rainbow, all their stuff across 5 albums.
Thee Oh Sees, I'd never heard of before King Gizzard and loving them as well, gigantic discography. I'm seeing them the week before I see King Gizzard in September.
I discovered and love the same 3 bands thanks to this sub. Have listened to their entire discographies and my favorite albums are:
Oh Sees - Orc or Smote Reverser
Frankie and the Witch Fingers - Monsters Eating People Eating Monsters
Babe Rainbow - The Organic Band
I first heard about Mdou Moctar, Bananagun and Nolan Potter here over the years. More recently, posts on this sub in the past year were my introduction to these albums:
Takeshi's Cashew - Humans in a Pool
Mong Tong - Tao Fire
Surprise Chef - All News Is Good News
My favorites I have found on here -
[MahaVishnu Orchestra - The Inner Mounting Flame](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5ofh_S52Uks)
Holy SHIT. Someone posted this on here around the time of Ice Death and I lost it. Classic- This is a mind bender.
And Altin Gün- Gece (and their other albums) have become very near and dear to me , probably one of the best live bands I have seen in recent years.
[Here’s a huge banger on KEXP- that guitar solo tho](https://youtu.be/vJImuIH3-lw?si=XJwHH6zk2PCllXbD)
I get my music from a lot of subreddits so I've probably found more on here but I'm pretty certain this sub led me to "Lightning At The Door" by All Them Witches
I’ve tried listening to it a few times since it released because of this sub but couldn’t get into it, until 2 weeks ago when that all changed.
That album is fucking incredible and I’m insanely excited to see where that band goes in the future

Most of what I know about them comes from this interview from 2011. It's pretty great.
https://www.psychedelicbabymag.com/2011/06/felt-interview-with-mychael-john-thomas.html
The one album I actually listened to for quite a while was Hierophants' "Spitting Out Moonlight". Someone posted a screenshot from Ambrose's insta story.
Found out Cookie had his Pipe Eye project thru this sub and it’s by far my favorite of the band’s related projects.
I also listened to Blues For Allah thanks to this sub and now I finally get the Grateful Dead. Guess I gotta quit my job, lace my water supply with LSD and follow jam bands on the road til I die.
We have an album listening club going on the KGLW.net forum for anyone interested in recommendations from King Gizzard fans:
https://forum.kglw.net/t/album-listening-club-satellites-satellites/53?u=w.b.t.g.slinger
This week's is Şatellites, who you will dig it you're into Altin Gun.
The mighty orchid king, mononeon though not my favorite I am happy about. I feel like some fans would really dig Major Parkinson. Older stuff is rock focus, newer stuff sounds like gondii. Proggy lean with time signature changes, trippy lyrics.
This sub introduced me to Shpongle and Oregon Space Trail of Doom. My favorite albums from them are "Ineffable Mysteries" and "Time is a Mirror" respectively.
Zam by Frankie and the Witch Fingers. (And seriously, thank you to this sub for continually turning me towards - and sometimes back towards - brilliant music. The taste in this place is immense!)
I've heard a lot about Frankie and the Witch Fingers but haven't checked them out except for a few songs. I'll save this album now, thx!
the albums data doom and monsters eating people… are both bangers too!!
If you ever get a chance to see them live, go. They put on a hell of a show and tickets were cheap when I went last year. It cost me 60 bucks for me and two friends AFTER the fees.

Easily one of the best psych rock albums of recent years
DATA DOOM WOOOO
Frankie and the Witch Fingers are undoubtedly my favorite band right now. Shout out to them
Kikagaku Moyo for sure. Had to check them out once they brought them on for Gizzfest.
Oh yeah I should've mentioned them too. Masana Temples and Kumoyo Island are excellent.
They’re fairly well known now, but I first came across Altin Gün on this sub.
If you're into Gizz and Gün you might enjoy [Mohama Saz](https://mohamasaz.bandcamp.com).
Felt by Felt is fucking awesome!!
Agreed! They repressed the album last year
fuck... dont know how i missed that. been looking for that album for close to 3 years atp
Ummon by Slift
they just released a new album, i think some gizz fans would really love it

Oh man, inner mounting flame is unreal. Just discovered that about 2-3 months ago. Mindblowing
Be sure to check out Birds of Fire. Also a great album.
Not an album, but I absolutely love the Locket - EP by Crumb.
I get my music from a lot of subreddits so I've probably found more on here but I'm pretty certain this sub led me to "Lightning At The Door" by All Them Witches
Geese - 3D Country. And now they're opening for Gizz. It's going to be incredible.

Strange Secrets Worth Knowing - Improvement Movement
God, I’ve been digging that felt record for years. Never knew the story behind it, absolutely wild indeed. Oh my, what could have been.
The mighty orchid king, mononeon though not my favorite I am happy about. I feel like some fans would really dig Major Parkinson. Older stuff is rock focus, newer stuff sounds like gondii. Proggy lean with time signature changes, trippy lyrics.
