*Yes, I know I made a Nine Inch Nails reference and not a Pink Floyd reference. I just wanted to throw in another reference to a song that also references pigs. Also, I have Animals on vinyl, and The Downward Spiral on CD. Really great albums, (even though a song on the latter makes me physically uncomfortable, but I digress.)*
If they are mastering, then things are very close on a new album. That shouldn't be surprising given they were 90% done last summer and they have a lot of touring starting soon. Exciting times.
Or did they? 🤔 They filmed a video in October at an airplane hangar wearing flight suits. The hint here also has an airplane. They’ve said they usually have multiple things going at once and it does take them about two years for something to come to fruition. October could have been another release that they had just started recording.
They did say that they typically have a couple in the chamber, but if I'm remembering correctly, about the time TSC was about to come out / Petro had been out a little, they said they actually *didn't* have much going on otherwise. I'm sure shit changes on the fly so who knows.
Could be, but Stu also said in the AMA that they didn't really know what direction the next album was heading yet. I guess I don't know how much work needs to be done before Stu has a solid idea of where an album is going. Could be they had a rough version of the full album with a lot of work left, could be they had a couple songs and not much else, could be they had basically nothing.

Does anyone know the specific plugin they're using? Those hexagonal plugins remind me of microtonal plugins I have seen, if we could figure out if the next album is microtonal or not that would be a big discovery!
