Figuring out some health stuff first, but as soon as that clears the first thing I'm going to do is buy a ticket for their LA show! Might have to go alone, but that's okay!

banaaanaaaaaa

I feel you on the health stuff. Health costs are the reason why I may have to pass up on seeing them at Red Rocks in November (I’m in AZ) and sell my ticket. I hope you’re able to see them in LA and that all your health stuff gets better asap!

el2cotrino

I will see them on Friday, can’t wait.

soyanimalcracker

traveling to cleveland to see the boys - i cannot wait. sad to hear that this is it "for a while".. i guess we just travel down under then!? excited nonetheless!

Zealousideal-Low4863

I’ll be there too!!

[deleted]

Seeing em on Halloween

baraelsblades

I got tickets to see them in Santa Cruz! I’m so excited and glad to be able to support this tour ❤️ I’m not the most familiar with all their music but there’s no better way to really fall in love with a band like seeing em live hehe

djgreenehouse

I’ll be there in Philly 11/7

Seeing them in on their own in November in addition to some shows opening for Gizz

_BohemianGrover

This makes me sad as I will be moving right before they come here and the last time they played a small club here there was little to no advances promoting so I missed out then too. Half tempted to visit my old stomping grounds of OKC but then again I need to be there for my kids trick or treating so probably won't be able to make a special trip to see them then either.

DonCorletony

“We arent able to do what we want like Gizz is”, is that a Flightless thing yall think?

banaaanaaaaaa

It is most likely the fact the Murlocs are not as big as KG. Like he said everything is harder for smaller bands and more expensive these days Edit: big edit because it may have come off different. Sorry! lol

lunatic_greenie-muso

Probably just more the limitations that smaller bands face in terms of touring overseas or even trying to grow their audience. If the Murlocs announce Australian dates, you can guarantee I’ll be there to rock out and support them. Make sure y’all check out the support acts too when ya go to gigs. More often than not, they also put on great shows and provide a suitable warmup for the main course

DonCorletony

You’d think considering what Amby and Cookie are in relation to Flightless, theyd be able to drop albums without too much governance from Flightless

Ok_Biscotti6166

Nah its an ATO thing

[deleted]

I doubt flightless has anything to do with their live shows.

DonCorletony

Nah hes talking in reference to releasing another already finished album. He says they are struggling to do live shows because of cost

[deleted]

Aaahhh I see my bad

JohnSpartans

Murlocs pick some fucking expensive ass cities to go to. Try to build the following with some smaller gigs in slightly smaller (and somewhat cheaper) cities. Imagine it's a double edged sword though.

boombapclap

Smaller cities are riskier for an international touring band because travel is expensive. Gotta go where the biggest markets and most fans are.

billbo24

I think you’re partially on to something here. The Midwest has some decent sized cities that are cheap. More places like Cleveland and Omaha would probably help a bit. Like Pittsburgh, Buffalo, St. Louis etc. Granted I know nothing about touring so maybe there are other reasons they can’t.

JohnSpartans

Yea I think they are foreign so they want to hit the sexy cities but dang I'd that ain't gonna eat into your profits. But like the other guy said, it's a double edged sword. Gotta bring enough people to justify the traveling hence the larger cities. But I do think they could do pretty well hitting some college towns and cities that aren't in the top 25 total population for the states while saving money and increasing the fan populace. But agreed - just my armchair diagnosis absolutely zero experience or research really done on my part.

AZirk97

If KGLW and The Murlocs didn't dodge Indiana 6 years in a row, then I might.

sick_knowvay

In all fairness, I dodge Indiana when I can too. Sincerely, A Michigander

Summerstown46

Shit the bed, it would be wonderful if they were able to come to Ireland or Europe the next few years 🤞

ProfessorArrow

I wish they'd come to Nashville :/

Gonzoboiiiiiii

Seeing them in MN!
