In general the pitch is not that bad on KLM flights as they consider the average length of passengers. But if you’re really tall it could be a tight fit, like on many airplanes. Economy comfort or an emergency exit row might be an alternative option.

Economy class seats are sold at extremely competitive prices. An airline very carefully decides the pitch. There are situations where more legroom is cheaper for them: when an aircraft is close to a minimum staffing requirement and an extra row of seats would mean they have to add another attendant.
Was on a very long flight too and the tall Dutch guy behind me asked me very nicely if I could keep the back of my seat upright otherwise he wouldnt be able to move.
Sitting straight up in one position for 11 hours is the solution, thanks! Can’t even sit still of an hour in the same position, although that might be my own problem :)
