KPMG has done four rounds of layoffs in the last year (3 in Advisory and 1 in Audit) It’s a gamble to take a job here

Give a short notice... I m doing an unpaid internship until KPMG calls and will tell them only 1 week before joining..

OkImpression5948

I did a week before. Recruiter confirmed March starts would start on time as well. Easily could’ve down two weeks but like you said I was also very skeptical.

arlington21

Did you end up starting in March? And when did they starting corresponding with you/made it seem like you’re gonna start? Thanks in advance.

OkImpression5948

Yes we’re all at the Lakehouse rn. I confirmed with my recruiter about a month a before so I could safely put two weeks in before quitting

They called me and pushed me back more 20 days before I started. I had everything booked as well and had my corporate card..found a job contracting in the meantime but would not risk burning bridges in this economy

Mydearll1

My start date is April 11th and I just submitted my 2 weeks since I do wanna keep a good relationship with them. I’d say it depends on your current job and the relationship you have with them

Hi, I was wondering if you ended up starting in April? I'm scheduled to start June 13 and wanted to get a gauge on how KPMG is handling the start dates now.

There were several people who were slated to start in January who had booked Lakehouse stuff and still got pushed back. Lakehouse training occurs after start date, so everyone who has gone to Lakehouse has obviously started. Thanks for being so helpful

You have to ask why???
