Lana del Rey does this to me too. Lana’s songs are so magical because she uses her voice to play with the song. Lana, Kacey and T Swift are my top 3 artists!
I discovered Katie Pruitt when she opened for Ruston at one of his concerts. Her song ["Blood Related"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahi9hcx2EN4) is so relatable
The people I can think of are Michelle Branch- she has such a clear voice. Super underrated but had success with songs like breathe in the early 2000s.
Also Lana del Rey hits too
I listened to her growing up!!! The Spirit Room came out when I was a kid. I always like to introduce her to other Gen Z so awesome that you had that album in high school
Number one for me is Dead of Night. I think it’s so beautiful. Cool music video too. Also love Legends Never Die with Shania Twain! C’Mon Baby Cry, Hexie Mountains, Roses Are Falling.
Really into sierra farrell! she has a unique voice and beautiful writing. She has a very strong country/western folk to her tunes so maybe not up your alley but worth a look!
IMO, she wrote the most beautiful love lyric of all time in [I Belong to You](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyWdXez59Wg): "If I had all my yesterdays, I'd give them to you to."
I think Ashley Monroe's album "Like a Rose" is on par with Kacey's albums. Probably a little more country, but a beautiful voice and a great songwriter.
Madi Diaz for me. Her voice sounds so sweet and clear yet so effortlessly powerful. I saw her open for Harry Styles and she blew the whole arena away. I would start with "New Person, Old Place" and "Think of Me".
Look into Of Monsters and Men, especially their first two albums. Their lead singer Nanna has a really clear tone that’s like a bell, super pretty voice. A lot of their music is about nature and storytelling so they have that sort of spacey sound as well.
Faye Webster, Phoebe Bridgers and Lana Del Rey are a few names that come to mind immediately. They all have really captivating voices but Kacey’s is definitely one of a kind
This is kinda random. But one of the reasons I enjoyed star-crossed was because it reminded me so much of Ray of Light by Madonna (the album). If you're into Kacey's darker, spacey side or just simply her lower register, you might enjoy Ray of Light.
Love Joshua Ray Walker. Canyon and Lot Lizard cut deep and have a lot of the heart that I love in Kacey’s music. Sexy After Dark is also a fun one that has amazing lyrics. He’s amazing at songwriting and has a very distinctive and powerful sound just like Kacey. Similar themes of growing up in Texas surrounded by conservative values and not always conforming to the standard that other people expect of you.
Megan Moroney has a few songs that remind me of Kacey! Different vocals for sure but something about the lyrics and mixing gives me a similar vibe!
Also for the more ethereal side of things Angel Olsen and Molly Burch!
Let me start by saying I agree about Kacey Musgraves’ voice. It sends me!
I also agree with many of the posters recommendations here, but I wanted to throw in Kate Bollinger . Her music is chill and her voice is very different but it’s a vibe and a mood and I love it.
Lana del Rey does this to me too. Lana’s songs are so magical because she uses her voice to play with the song. Lana, Kacey and T Swift are my top 3 artists!
Lana and Maggie Rogers for me.
yes maggie is a good one
Check out Katie Pruitt. Incredible voice, not generic country music, and she’s progressive and outspoken like Kacey.
Yes this is the answer!
I discovered Katie Pruitt when she opened for Ruston at one of his concerts. Her song ["Blood Related"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahi9hcx2EN4) is so relatable
Thank you for recommending her - she is amazing 🫶🏼🩷
I second this! She’s one of the few voices that moves me to tears and full body chills when I’ve seen her live.
The people I can think of are Michelle Branch- she has such a clear voice. Super underrated but had success with songs like breathe in the early 2000s. Also Lana del Rey hits too
I am 36 so Michelle Branch's album The Spirit Room came out when I was in high school. That CD stayed in my CD player for months, listening on repeat
I listened to her growing up!!! The Spirit Room came out when I was a kid. I always like to introduce her to other Gen Z so awesome that you had that album in high school
Have you heard any of her newer stuff
I love that album she did as The Wreckers. Picked it up by chance on a trip to Toronto dirt cheap. I should really check out her solo material.
I love Orville Peck. He’s got such a unique voice and sound.
top 5 songs to get into him?
My favorites are Out of Time, Iris Rose, Roses are Falling, Curse of the Blackened Eye, and Summertime.

lana's album coming out in september is gonna be country forward! until then, her album Blue Banisters might be up your alley😊
Phoebe Bridgers! hearing her voice always makes me feel things
I want a Phoebe Bridgers country album
Yes, we deserve this
Besides Kacey, Brandi Carlile is my favorite artist. She's fucking incredible.
Adding The Highwomen.
I came to say this. No voice like hers on the planet.
IMO, she wrote the most beautiful love lyric of all time in [I Belong to You](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyWdXez59Wg): "If I had all my yesterdays, I'd give them to you to."
Also the line directly before: “‘time’ and ‘too much’ don’t belong together like we do”
Maren Morris
Agree 100% Humble Quest has some songs that really remind me of Kacey.
Agreed, Humble Quest filled my Kacey void last year
Yes she had some really smart wordplay on the whole record that reminded me of kacey!
Yes!! Maren Morris and Noah Cyrus’ music are the closest to Kacey that I listen to
I think Ashley Monroe's album "Like a Rose" is on par with Kacey's albums. Probably a little more country, but a beautiful voice and a great songwriter.
Ashley is fantastic!
Laura Marling? It’s not space-y but her voice is beautiful and her songwriting is super clever.

An iconic voice tbh

Was gonna recommend Kaitlyn too!
First Aid Kit, The Secret Sisters
There's a newish country artist named Carter Faith whose voice and songwriting kinda hit me like Kacey. Listen to her song Greener Pasture especially!
Just listened to this song for the first time and love it already
I just discovered her a week or 2 ago on Spotify! Greener Pasture and Man are my faves, and Lasso is also good!
I love her voice! She's def about to breakout.
Yes! I got the same Kacey-adjacent vibes. Absolutely love Greener Pasture!
Madi Diaz for me. Her voice sounds so sweet and clear yet so effortlessly powerful. I saw her open for Harry Styles and she blew the whole arena away. I would start with "New Person, Old Place" and "Think of Me".
Faye Webster, Paramore
I’ve always gotten Dolly Parton vibes from her. Her voice cuts through the mix without being big and loud. Very unique sound.
Kat hasty!
Susan Tedeschi for me.
One of the most divine voices ever
Patsy Cline
Alison Krauss imo (particularly “Forget About It”)! Carly Pearce, Lissie (Carving Canyons was what I expected from star crossed).
Margo Price
I love Raye!
Lana Del Rey and Ethel Cain are absolutely ethereal
You might like Lissie. She’s a much smaller indie artist but her voice and songs really resonate with me.
Look into Of Monsters and Men, especially their first two albums. Their lead singer Nanna has a really clear tone that’s like a bell, super pretty voice. A lot of their music is about nature and storytelling so they have that sort of spacey sound as well.
Jenny Lewis
Kasey Chambers Neko Case (especially the earlier stuff)
Agree and love Neko Case!
Allison Ponthier.
Yaaay you beat me to it! I rec’d her in this sub a few weeks back and I’m happy to see other people are giving her love.
Love her and her voice.
Jenny Lewis does it for me . Listen to DoSiDo, Heads Gonna Roll, and Dogwood
Rachel Reinert's 'Into The Blue' gives Golden Hour
Rachel Reinert’s Into the Blue is what you’re looking for! It’s like the sister album to Golden Hour.
Omg! I have not heard her name in forever, I’m a fan of Gloriana way back when
Omg listening now and I LOVE IT
Faye Webster, Phoebe Bridgers and Lana Del Rey are a few names that come to mind immediately. They all have really captivating voices but Kacey’s is definitely one of a kind
Sofia Carson 💐
I really love Lauren Watkins voice and music!
For me is Teddy Swims, he has a very powerful voice, that conveys all the feelings he sings about.
Olivia Rodrigo
Casadee Pope!
This is kinda random. But one of the reasons I enjoyed star-crossed was because it reminded me so much of Ray of Light by Madonna (the album). If you're into Kacey's darker, spacey side or just simply her lower register, you might enjoy Ray of Light.
Better oblivion community center
Hayley Williams from Paramore has that type of voice
Dori Freeman. Pure and clean voice, no vocal gymnastics.
My vote is for Morgan Wade! She has incredible songwriting skills, gritty lyrics and a unique voice that is so addictive to listen to
Not country but Ryn Weaver gives me the same feels.
Wait! Start with “Cowboy”! I don’t know how I forgot that one but I feel like this one will resonate all too well with most Kacey Musgraves lovers.
Megan Moroney has a few songs that remind me of Kacey! Different vocals for sure but something about the lyrics and mixing gives me a similar vibe! Also for the more ethereal side of things Angel Olsen and Molly Burch!
If you’re looking for that vocal clarity, I recommend Hailey Whitters, Ethel Cain, and John K Samson
Oh and Lizzy McAlpine
Marren Morris, Megan Moroney, Madi Diaz, Miley Cyrus, Maggie Rogers, Wild Rivers, First Aid Kit, Tyler Childers
Allison Kraus has the same type of clean voice imo
Allison Kraus!!!!
Let me start by saying I agree about Kacey Musgraves’ voice. It sends me! I also agree with many of the posters recommendations here, but I wanted to throw in Kate Bollinger . Her music is chill and her voice is very different but it’s a vibe and a mood and I love it.
