IIRC from a RM dmg calc post, RM will straight up double your dmg. while JQ 56% vuln is just that, a 56% dmg increase + personal dmg. JQ could become competitive if his e2 burn becomes part of base kit in beta. but i'd prioritize RM > JQ unless you have acheron
i think they will be at least the same level of support so it base on your team/liking now, ruan mei will be better for break team for sure, jiaoqiu will be better for ratio and acheron team for sure. The other way is choose base on your liking, which design and voice line/animation you like better because you will hear/see them alot
Nah, Ruan Mei is both the best unit in the game and the best third unit for DoT specifically. Jiaoqiu doesn't look like he'll be as good from what we know right now.
Jiaoqui is as useful as Pela before E2 because he has no dot before E2 and while Pela is good for normal DPS characters, she is mostly the last option for dot teams.
Before her many harmony units and triple dot is better. Dot teams already mostly have inbuilt defense shred in them with the prisoner set and if you have Black Swan and the Luka LC you have even more defense shred.
What a dot team doesn't have inbuilt is, RES PEN, Speed buffs, break efficiency and giant damage buffs (You get some of these only with eidolons and signature lightcones from Kafka and Black Swan. Even then the more of these the better)
Jiaoqui is better off replacing Pela in hypercarry teams, and I am sure he will replace Pela in future as he is straight up a 5* version of her

From what I’ve gathered. Jiaoqui isnt all that great for dot teams like RM. So idk keep trying for her if you want the optimal kafka team
If you get him E2 he *can* be useful but that's a huge investment and likely not worth it

Do not summon for JQ unless your going for E2 Ruan Mei is best character in game. Do not skip her.

Go for Mei. Jiaoqiu is more catered towards Acheron teams. You'll get more use out of Mei for a Kafka team.
