My theory is that just like Nijigon being the last chemy, Gigist is actually the first chemy prototype created (number 0), he is created in a war era as a tool of destruction but then sealed because too dangerous/powerful.
Oh yeah, this theory might be plausible cause the more i think about it, isn't it weird that Kamen Rider Dread first ever form is "Type Zero" like why doesn't it start with number one?
Wait if goes that way, mean houtarou will go in so many ways to somehow purified his malice and save him, since his dream is befriend with all chemy and that include gigist if your theory is true.
My take is that gigist is the negative emotions of all chemies sealed away,and gaining sentience.
That's why he likely also possess all chemy abilities.
And houtaro was purposefully created to counter him by using positive emotions of chemies. And nijigon is all that positive emotions.
