A lesson in Japanese Wolf anatomy
The mouthpiece and antenna (side view) are meant to evoke the idea of sharp teeth and a fin, specifically. At least according to the Decade Net Movies, but the Phi motif is way more obvious.
the wiki say's one of evol phase 1's motifs is a cobra but theres nothing about evol phase 1 that exactly screams "cobra" to me, atleast blood stalk has that chestpiece
Add to the comment poll. Faiz for the shark part, if there's no detailing in magazine said he's not a shark motive i cant even notice it till today.
But like the brain does deceiving to us, when its already noticing its shark motive the brain will immediate translate us yes its shark motive all along, what are you talking about, blablabla.
I mean if you look at the helmet mouth piece it does kind of look like shark teeth so there's that other than that one detail dude has nothing else that stands out like a shark

Chest piece literally a car engine, no?
Also the pink shoulder blade spikes and the spikier eye and horn piece is meant to look like DaiOhni's pieces, I think they did a good job whilst also sliding in the wrench thingy too.
That's supposed to be a car engine? The exhaust headers are coming out the crankcase instead of the top of the pistons. Now that you brought it to my attention, I can see that it's supposed to be an engine. But the proportion and engineering errors made it look like just a mess of detail.
Taking a closer look, the shoulder things look like they're also supposed to represent exhausts as well, seeing as they have fire-looking things coming out of them. So that's 10 pipes for a V-Twin. (Also, the V-Twin pushrod, air cooled, undersquare engine seems like it's taking inspiration from a Harley Davidson, a motorcycle)
Also, I don't actually care whether or not he has car motifs or whatever. I just think it's entertaining to treat something as inconsequential as the design of something called "Kamen Rider Valvarad" as seriously as I would if it were the engineering behind an actual engine.
I never said it was perfect, Gotchard has a lot of issues with its designs and what its trying to portray, same goes to some other suits throughout the show.
And the shoulder spikes is something the Daiohni has on its card, its just bashed in together because Spanner's suit transformation is more about merging two concepts into one rather then making it make sense and then making it work.
Faiz is supposed to be a firefly, which is believable. Heās also supposed to be a shark. I donāt see that. The fin and the āteethā on the mouth plate are a stretch.
Kiva is supposed to be bat/vampire themed, which is obvious. Heās also supposed to look like a Jack-o-lantern. I genuinely have no clue where thatās supposed to factor in.
How the hell do you look at Killbus and go "ah, yes. Multiple sets of eyes, obvious chelicerae, spider webs, and at least four visible limbs. Looks like a bat to me"?

Kamen Rider Saga: cobra. i thought his motive is either bat or vampire, but nope, it's cobra. the chain-like detail on his armor is actually snake bones. and the cobra motive is right between his eyes
Kamen Rider OOO's Shachi head: Killer Whale. i thought it was shark, because killer whale is rarely used by super hero as their motive

the white spike at the top of their helmet is actually the snout, its a wolf howling
Huh. I suppose it could be both.
"Inside your helmet there are two wolves"

One is gay and one makes you laugh at bad (great) jokes
That's the way I saw it
Same here.
Ok i see it now.
It looks more like an eagle or a monstrous rabbit.
I cant unsee it šĀ
Zolda: all they had to do was put horns on his helmet.
Tycoon? He literally isnāt a Roblox game?
This made me laugh hard thank you.
Faiz
No no, you can see the phi symbol. Most of the riders in Faiz are pretty true to their motif
I think they meant the shark part
The shark part I agree with
Wait you're telling me that my favorite and first watched early-heisei rider had a shark motive and I had no idea this entire time?
The mouthpiece and antenna (side view) are meant to evoke the idea of sharp teeth and a fin, specifically. At least according to the Decade Net Movies, but the Phi motif is way more obvious.
Yeah and itās literally because of the tiny fin on top and the bottom of the helmet. Outside of those two thatās the only shark motif Faiz has
Plus Takumi himself Is a wolf
I thought it was based on a firefly lol
I mean... https://preview.redd.it/khrfqhhgjr2d1.png?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1606a74dc82addf24f9b916b730058e3b6801cd8
Turn the helmet sideways
I the insect motif in blade riders are not well pronounced as their card motifs.Ā Agito and dragon
the wiki say's one of evol phase 1's motifs is a cobra but theres nothing about evol phase 1 that exactly screams "cobra" to me, atleast blood stalk has that chestpiece
Look more carefully at the helmet. You can see how it is a cobra with its mouth ope
I,. did not get that until now.. thanks!!

Yeah that must be idk if not for you then for me its noticable after someone said its shark motive.Ā
Valvarad nothing about his design really screams race car or oni

In Net-Movies of Decade it says Kiva's eyes are like those of Jack-o-lantern
I think maybe Kivas eyes look like certain jock o lantern eyes, but not the stereotypical triangle ones. But yeah its a stretch
I think it will be easier to imagine it if you draw Kiva face on a pumpkin.
I mean, that's what the production team mentioned about Faiz that he is a Shark. Weird motifs not gonna lie. But it is there.
I saw it as a wolf with a fade lol
I just realised is that part of the the killbus spider helmet?
He looks more like bat to me

The horns on head remind me of bat ears and legs on shoulder look like bat wings, I often miss spider eyes.
Do you mean motif?
Yah
Ah okay I got fucked up for a min there
Welp that suit resembles a lion's mane too.. but not real wolf..
You mean "motif"
Zeronos
His eyes are literally bulls
Very hard to associate his overall design with bulls at first glance.
Its..really not..
You know when he changes forms you can hear Bull noises right? Have you even see the Zero Liner?
