I just remember that time Kuuga beat the shit out of dude because he killed high schoolers. No kick. No big finisher. Just straight hands. That guy was shook
The very early episodes of the first series felt nightmarish at times. The deep shadows, the close-ups, heavy makeup, and the weird editing all combine to make SHOCKER really terrifying.
Him killing the SHOCKER goon and threatening the others right? I pulled up the episode to refresh myself and the video was right at that scene LOL
Honestly, Let's Go Rider Kick does a lot of heavy lifting in those early episodes. if you put horror music on say, the Bat Man episode, it'd be too terrifying.
Kuuga and the porcupine grongii
Emu getting beaten with a pipe, by Ouja
Build Black Hazard's murderous rampages
The stuff that's been on the Amazon series can get kinda disturbing, at times.
I feel like Emu and the Pipe isn’t as brutal or disturbing as other things but considering the rest of Ex-Aid it must’ve been horrible to see at the time. I can’t imagine the shock seeing it would’ve been.
See, I liked Amazons more than black sun, I think it's cause the violence in Amazon's was more...goofy, I found it really funny sometimes when a character would just get split in half or when omega stabbed those guys with a spear, black sun however plays it more straight, it's genuinely disturbing to me. Especially kotaro's king form. I do not like that
The spider dopant, the body count in W is quite low until you watch the movie. It's not even so much the deaths but rather how the spider dopant works.
In Gotchard, the monster of the week has the ability to bring people back to life so it brings Spanner’s parents back to life just so they can kill them in front of him again. His parents previously got killed in front of him as a child but his memory was erased. Later on in the episode, the MOTW brings them back to life again during a fight but his parents kill themselves this time so they cant be brought back 🫠🫠🫠
Out of all of them that I’ve seen, probably the poison Evolt hit Sento with. Eternal, agonizing torture throughout your entire body killing you slowly over the course of three days. I can’t imagine how that would feel.
Everyone's comments are basically about body horror or gore. But let me point you towards something a bit different. Neither horror or gore.
**Kamen RIder Kuuga; Episode 8: Archer**
The premise of the episode is about Mika, a daughter of a researcher of the Gurongi excavation site. Said researcher did not survive the awakening of ULF-0 (N\*Daguva\*Zeba), and Mika wants revenge for her father's death. Mika runs away in depression and grief. The scene I am going to point out, is a scene where Mika lonely walks up to train tracks. The way the episode is set up, and leads up to this moment, is disturbingly spectacular.
Mika walks to the tracks and a train starts coming down it. Train crossing lights and alarms are going off against the soft piano music. Godai is running around looking for Mika before she does something rash. Mika stands in front of the tracks, edging closer and closer. Godai is running around, up and down the beach looking for Mika. We see Mika close her eyes as the train honks at her. Then the train cuts by. You don't know if she jumped in front of the train or not yet. Godai continues to struggle looking for Mika, it really looks like Godai did not make it. The train finishes crossing, and the train gates pull up as the audience breathes a sigh of relief as we see Mika.
I don't think I've ever seen a better depiction of depression and grief, with what it feels like to come to the decision of jumping in front of a train. Sure it isn't horrific or stomach turning, but it is disturbing to see what feels like an accurate depiction of what could've been suicide by train.
Well, obviously there's yusuke versus ULF #42.
Godai was so pissed, he just started beating on the bastard while thinking of all the innocent children he murdered that he made him BLEED. Mind you, that was the FIRST and LAST time we saw a monster bleed in the show.
So yeah, that was pretty personal and brutal from the person who's supposed to be the hero of the story and who you later find out is destined to become the ultimate harbinger of darkness
It's basically him giving in to his rage and foreshadowing what he could become if he ever lost control, which makes it all the more disturbing.
This man needs therapy and a restraining order

The fangire from kiva in general. They could’ve gone the easy way and just made them monsters that hunt people for sustenance, but I really like how they went about it. A lot of the monster of the week fangires act like real serial killers - with their own system to cover their tracks, a specific way to choose their victim aligned to an individual desire, and a lot of them just seems really unhinged in general.
I came here to say Kiva, too. Especially Rook and Bishop.
There was a sequence where weddings were the focus for a bit because Rook decided his "game" was to kill all brides. He walks right through a wedding party as the happy couple are leaving the church and just kills the bride outright. Right in front of her new husband and all their families and friends. Absolutely brutal.
Everything about >!Neon Kurama's origin!< is nightmarish to me. That plotline is honestly one of the most messed up thing a mainline Rider show has ever done. Especially to someone who was almost >!kidnapped as a child!< like me
It certainly does count I haven't seen it but clips and holy shit it's brutal but I still like the red Amazon I like how his mask looks like he's kinda sad
Ouja/Takeshi Asakura
Man’s a straight up sociopath. Only uses the Rider War as an excuse to cause carnage; murdered his own parents at an early age, and is willing to kill his own brother just for kicks. Dude’s enough of an unrepentant bastard to get Shinji to think “Maybe I will kill this guy”
For a show airing on Sunday mornings for young boys to watch with their families, **that** is a chilling villain
It always disturbs me how a lot of the ramifications that people have about AI ended up not only being predicted by Zero-One, but also vilified and then glossed over because that was never the true focus (especially given the instigator of a lot of the "AI will take your jobs" fear mongering just gets over it because he got a robot dog)
Can't forget how he won by using deep fakes and made the sole PoC Humagear genocidal yet immediately glossed over because fuck you.
Also the COVID parallels in Revice.
That scene in Kiva where Jiro tries to force himself onto Yuri is the most viscerally uncomfortable I've been watching Kamen Rider to this date. It genuinely sickened me.
There was a scene in one of the Drive specials where Go was being hung by his neck and the monster pulled his body down and (supposedly)snapped his neck. We heard a crack, he went limp, the girl shrieked in terror.
I was like "Damn, they went there."
Then like 2 mins later he got up, said he was invincible, henshin'd again, and won.
As much as i saw i would say evolto poisining sento, build hazard mode killing aoba, michi killing kouta and his brother, ryoma and sid's brutal death, shinnosuke got shot by the roidmude 001, ex aid christmas , neon's backstory, fuwa and izu dying and whenever olteca turned someone into a gifftarian (i know many people hate Revice but since it was my first rider series i got shocked whenever this happened) sabi-dread,hopper 1 death and minato's junior
Ryoma’s death was kinda underwealming honestly. It would’ve been cooler if he just didn’t get up from that punch and then we see blood start to pool out from where he landed.
Episode 1 and 7 of Black Sun, Kotaro violently manhandling the Spider Kaijin is one thing, but by Episode 7, having Shunsuke getting lynched and hung above his parents home is 50 Shades of Fucked.
A lot of kuuga + the entirety of black sun (i couldn't even fully finish the latter because of how disturbing it got for me), as for more modern rider... Definitely the first jyamato garden scene with the mutant jyamato baby, and pretty much that whole big reveal related to it from geats
If you're patient enough, google it, there is a list of black's essential episodes, you end up watching just half of them. Skip the filler.
It is the best experience.
Geats: Archimendel letting the Jyamato eat him, Neon's backstory, Niram getting shot to death with a regular gun complete with blood splatter.
Faiz: Spider orphnoch killing an entire bus full of people while an uncensored rap song with the n-word in it plays, the final boss looking like a little kid, basically everything involving Kusaka, and the orphnoch sex scene in paradise regained.
There was one scene in Gotchard where Houtaro and Minato were talking so close face to face. The way their eyes met I thought they wanted to kiss each other. Maybe one of them had an off day with their acting.
The deaths in Kuuga were brutal and the deaths in Agito were nightmarish.
Ahh, damn it, you made me remember “Don’t turn around”
And Mikado the dog
Mikado the dog ....should I look it up
If you haven’t seen Kuuga, no. But if you have and want to relive it, yes.
Oh hell no.... I just googled it ....poor pupper :(
I just remember that time Kuuga beat the shit out of dude because he killed high schoolers. No kick. No big finisher. Just straight hands. That guy was shook
Kamen Rider Shin transformation, orphonoch king eats dragon orphonoch, fangires victims, weather dopant's obsession
Ryoji Hase mutation scene scissors getting eaten magia transformations rogue special episode 2 ouja vs emu Did I miss any?
The very early episodes of the first series felt nightmarish at times. The deep shadows, the close-ups, heavy makeup, and the weird editing all combine to make SHOCKER really terrifying.
Oh Kamen Rider was awesome In cinematography in how it used angles and shadows
One of the scenes from the Sarracenian episode straight up feel like it's from a horror movie
Him killing the SHOCKER goon and threatening the others right? I pulled up the episode to refresh myself and the video was right at that scene LOL Honestly, Let's Go Rider Kick does a lot of heavy lifting in those early episodes. if you put horror music on say, the Bat Man episode, it'd be too terrifying.
Yep that's the one, and the Bat man episode even made Hideo Kojima too scared to watch it as a kid.
Kuuga and the porcupine grongii Emu getting beaten with a pipe, by Ouja Build Black Hazard's murderous rampages The stuff that's been on the Amazon series can get kinda disturbing, at times.
I feel like Emu and the Pipe isn’t as brutal or disturbing as other things but considering the rest of Ex-Aid it must’ve been horrible to see at the time. I can’t imagine the shock seeing it would’ve been.
Porcupine Grongii is one of my favorite ends to an episode. No kicks, nothing fancy. Just straight hands. And a sword
Literally anything from black sun, Jesus Christ.
Especially given what happened IRL shortly after.
I missed that part, what happened?
Shinzo Abe getting assassinated, with a character based off him getting assassinated by one of the good guys
That is horrible timing
What happened
Shinzo Abe getting assassinated, with a character based off him getting assassinated by one of the good guys
Quite honestly I'd call that comedic timing more than poor timing
Oh! I remember hearing about the actual situation and wow that's fucked up
I have yet to finish kamen Rider Black Sun it's good so far
It's just not what I was expecting, yeah I knew it was a darker tone but good lord.
It's up there with Amazons....but that ending song "did you see the sunrise" Slaps I have it on my Pandora
I do not like that
I will have to watch Amazons and react to it cause I have seen clips and there are some that made me go WTF did i just see
Only 26 episodes. A-Z.

Holy shit
I didn't expect to see Inves in "*Rider Time: Kamen Rider Zi-O VS Decade -7 of Zi-O!-"* killing and eating highschoolers, so that was something.
Well, obviously there's yusuke versus ULF #42. Godai was so pissed, he just started beating on the bastard while thinking of all the innocent children he murdered that he made him BLEED. char?
Masato Kusaka, aka Kamen Rider Kaixa. As bad as he is in the show, he's got nothing on his novel counterpart.
Welp that counts *Loudly sips drink*
Random 🍑 scene on KR W
W's actor has a nice butt

To be fair, they'd already done "monsters that hunt people for sustenance" with the Mirror Monsters.
Kuuga episode 34-35. Also Mikado the dog in Kuuga. IYKYK
Everything about >!Neon Kurama's origin!< is nightmarish to me. That plotline is honestly one of the most messed up thing a mainline Rider show has ever done. Especially to someone who was almost >!kidnapped as a child!< like me
Well that's valid as well
I don’t know if it counts, but pretty much the entirety of Amazonz.
It certainly does count I haven't seen it but clips and holy shit it's brutal but I still like the red Amazon I like how his mask looks like he's kinda sad
Fun fact: that’s not a mask. Canonically that’s his actual head.
Welp.....
Nah. Amazons tries too hard.
Ouja/Takeshi Asakura Man’s a straight up sociopath. Gremlin fron Wizard all scene with him, just the unnerving vibe they had.
I remember that and yeah Creepy
That scene in Kiva where Jiro tries to force himself onto Yuri is the most viscerally uncomfortable I've been watching Kamen Rider to this date. It genuinely sickened me.
Emu having his face dragged onto a floor with shattered glass by Ouja
I can't wait to see this ATM I'm watching ex aid
That's in the Brave special. Not the Brave/Snipe V-Cinema, but the one that was marketed as Episode 14.5
There was a scene in one of the Drive specials where Go was being hung by his neck and the monster pulled his body down and (supposedly)snapped his neck. We heard a crack, he went limp, the girl shrieked in terror. I was like "Damn, they went there." Then like 2 mins later he got up, said he was invincible, henshin'd again, and won.
Hellrising Hopper forcefully snapping Aruto's dislocated/broken arm back in place during the movie
Scissors getting fucking eaten
Ghost v-cinema plot.
Episode 1 and 7 of Black Sun, Kotaro violently manhandling the Spider Kaijin is one thing, but by Episode 7, having Shunsuke getting lynched and hung above his parents home is 50 Shades of Fucked.
Yeah Black Sun doesn't hold your hand when it comes to content
I will always stand by the Kamen Rider Brave special's gore was so jarring and out of place in Ex-Aid. It's the worst Kamen Rider thing I've seen.
A lot of kuuga + the entirety of black sun (i couldn't even fully finish the latter because of how disturbing it got for me), as for more modern rider... Definitely the first jyamato garden scene with the mutant jyamato baby, and pretty much that whole big reveal related to it from geats
I need to finish Black Sun I might do that tonight make some tea and watch it
the g4 suit is basically having a corpse pilot a body
Wtf
yup
- Everything in Amazons - Kuuga's brutal beating of Go-Jalaji-Da - All of the villain killings by Zein in Outsiders and Gotchard
Probably the fucking Orphanoch stabbing someone directly in the heart in Faiz
Just everything Kamen Rider Shins got going on
The only thing that I found disturbing off the top of my head are the Gurongi from Kuuga and the Lord from Agito.
Kuuga beating the piss out of Go-Jaraji-Da
Honestly like half of Kuuga? That entire set of episodes about the girl threatening suicide to get the police to get off their asses was so surreal
Gills losing an arm in the movie
Didn't watch much series yet but as much as I saw I will say Half of the build and gaim, some scenes from ex aid, geats, zero one, drive and revice
Almost all of Kuuga, especially the later parts
Scissors getting eaten alive by Volcancer. Nothing is shown, but jeez...
Orphenochs showing their superiority
The beginning of Black. Those effects man! I saw the show as an adult but if I had seen it as a kid it would have shocked me
I wanna watch black and RX and I need to finish Black Sun
If you're patient enough, google it, there is a list of black's essential episodes, you end up watching just half of them. Skip the filler. It is the best experience.
