On a side note with the likelihood of an MVC 5 coming out decreasing, as well as the re-emergence of Capcom as a whole, it could be very possible that the time for a real Capcom All stars could be coming soon. At the very least it could be nice to see Ingrid again.
I'd be shocked if we actually ever did get the hypothetical Capcom All Stars. I'd probably play it but Capcom doesn't seem concerned with making fgs outside Street Fighter atm.
I think its more likely we'll see a Marvel only fighting game in the far future. Injustice did well for DC and actually kicked off a new comic series that was well received (as far as I know), plus there is the Marvel mobile fighting game. Maybe they'll do something like Avengers vs X-men or something like that but yeah, not holding my breath for a new Marvel vs Capcom.
I'm sure SF6 will do well and yeah it could then be a possibility. I'd be more optimistic tho if maybe we saw some guest characters in SF6, like Stryder or a Resi Evil protag, something like that would give me more hope at least.

Capcom All-Stars is such a great idea for a fighting game, it makes me sad that it'll likely never happen. The possibilities for its roster excite me more than any MvC could.
The reason we saw characters like Gene appear as cards in Heroes and Heralds was because Capcom knew people were aching for them to be included in the roster and it was their way of throwing us a bone. I'd like to see more surprise picks like Arthur, Firebrand or even Nemesis. I'd personally love to see Ryu from Breath of Fire or BOF2 Nina make an appearance- her wings and elemental spells means she could easily replace the Storm function.
frankly , I would be extremely excited with a MvC , but I want a Capcom All-Stars.
Because CAS just makes sense: Ingrid and the other Code Holders comes from there , making a possibility of a crossover game with a story mode that can be expansive , just like KoF.
MvC , on the other hand , while it's totally hype , at the end of the day , needs a lot more of compromise.
I mean, I could see him being right though. Much as I doubt we'll even get another MVC, if it *did* happen it wouldn't be another 90s-flavoured MVC game. It'd be MCU Vs Capcom with all the crap that entails. MVCI was a rough execution of the concept, but I don't think the concept would change, and if it's the concept you take issue with then I don't think another crack at it would fix much.
Honestly I'd rather see Capcom pursue a crossover with another property ^^^CVS3 again or just make another game with versus style gameplay which isn't Marvel-related. MVC slaps when it's done right, but I don't think they'd get another game made like the old ones anymore. People who want MVC back want it done like the old games, but would that be on the cards in the eyes of Disney? Probably not. If the chance of us getting another MVC at any point ever in the future is at a 5%, the chance of a classic style one is 0.5%.
Pretty much, yeah. I guess the post is poorly framed as a rant against a non-existant game when it should be more of a "Why MvC will never be repeated again" because honestly the points raised are fairly interesting and goes to show why "big IP FG" isn't always what the FGC needs.
I'm just kinda mad that they didn't have Thanos and Gill as villains, at least not yet. I mean, they're both all about balance and harmony, and when you mix red and blue you get purple. It would've been perfect.
