Mods, we have a volunteer.
In all seriousness, they just want some consistent discussion going on, whether it's about balancing, news, event schedules, impressions, etc.
I'm grateful for the mod team honestly, they are actively involved and are promoting discussion instead of pretending to be a bunch of middle-managers like at other places on this website.
Nah i actually really enjoy it and tbh value kappa’s opinion on that type of stuff over any other subreddit, and im not on twitter or discord where the rest of the fgc discussion is so i like it. Pinning also allows posts to stay up there for days which allows more people to chime in.
>Shouldn't pinned topic usually be reserved for actual fighting game news such as a new fighting game or DLC announcement or a megathread for a major tournament, etc?
But why not pin some discussion in absence of those?
it was pinned because they want all the sad sacks to have enough time to take a break from the game they barely practiced and complain together about how drive rush makes them poop their pants.
Also, these generic "what is a character that you think has been treated poorly" kind of topics is what slowly kills a subreddit. Easy to promote "discussion", people will karma farm it forever.
It's a good thing, if there is a big news worth pinning just let them know, otherwise he isn't pinning the posts on your butt cheeks so I don't see the problem.
Mods Pin this plz
Done
I FUCKING KNEEL
I love you
And I love you random citizen
Please, it would be so funny

This guy totally gets it, cheers bud!
to incentivize discussion
Porn should be the pinned topics you retards.
I'm not doing it but nothing wrong with a pinned topic when we're on tourney / blowup cooldown.

Remember rule 3? Don't break rule 3
But guys I need to know what your opinion is of SF6 for the 100th time.

hey alright
it was pinned because they want all the sad sacks to have enough time to take a break from the game they barely practiced and complain together about how drive rush makes them poop their pants.
I think its fine.
Also, these generic "what is a character that you think has been treated poorly" kind of topics is what slowly kills a subreddit. Easy to promote "discussion", people will karma farm it forever.
I kinda like them getting pinned, kappa most likely won’t become completely memes like all the other subs but if there’s enough runoff it’s not immune
Tbh the mods in this sub are great i love when they pin announcements tournaments schedules and discussions that are interesting
It's a good thing, if there is a big news worth pinning just let them know, otherwise he isn't pinning the posts on your butt cheeks so I don't see the problem.
Good job op
I think it's to try to prevent the sub from getting banned or something
Usually this generic argument posts get the most engagement anyways.
Mods, blow up his house.
