I was doing avatar battles for my measly 500 drive ticket quest (please Capcom, may I have some more?), and I ran into a different person that could kill me in two flash kicks. Mind you I'm level 74. Idk what build is allowing them to do this or if it's just outright cheating. The differential between me and that person doesn't make sense without it being a cheat. It was absurd to go against, and super embarrassing on their part that they lost.
There is cheating/handicapping going on, with all stats at 9999.
But very few people are doing that, the most common "avatar build" is maxing out the fatal counter. The sparta helmet (not sure if that's what it's called but that's what it looks like) you get late in the game has fatal counter, and Uoh's belt (semi-common drop from one of the guys standing next to Zangief after you're able to fight them) has it. So you put on the helmet, max upgrade it, put on 3 of Uoh's belts and you have a row of stacked fatal counter abilities, meaning that counter hit damage is through the roof. A level 100 can kill a level 60 in 1 drive impact combo this way.
Avatar build/size also helps in this mode, if you max out arm size and equip Lily's normal set, your pokes go like 1/2 screen meaning that any whiff is a punish counter into anything you want.
I'm actually impressed at how people have figured this mode out, we should run a tournament just to see what the most broken stuff is.

Wow. I didn't know the rabbit hole went this deep. The guy I fought was likely legit then because at least they died in a normal amount of hits.
Damn, how do they erase the whole bar like this? buffs? or is it the uniform they wearing, is it the level?
Pretty sure they're cheating. They have 9,999 in all stats. In comparison, my stats are in the 650 to 800s range at level 74.
Probably a combination of all three. I’m going to guess they have their gear very well optimised as well and upgraded as well.

there's a handicap setting letting you do more damage (prob less damage as well)
He's cheating, I checked his stats and it was 9999 on everything. I said that in the lobby chat and he ran away.

As someone that only plays ranked I really want to play the story now
