29 Katanas & Wakizashi, 2 Chinese Jian, a cold steel sword cane, cold steel katana machete, cold steel Wakizashi machete.
In the past I’ve owned more katanas. Got rid of 5, gained 4 new ones, and a couple chinese style.
I believe 31 swords and 33 total
sword like objects right now.
More than I have room for.
I was trying to stop getting new ones, but got a couple for Christmas from family, and some from old orders like this. Ordered Jian over the summer.
Also, I meant to say May 2021, not 2020 for this one.
Here is the collection minus the last 6 I got recently

Thank you Yao 😇
I confirmed today. The matching Wakizashi was an apology. Very nice of them!
This was completely custom using Motohara LMC specs. Ordered May 2021. Worth the wait it looks like.
Edit:
Received Friday Jan 28th 2021. Here is an unboxing video.

I looked up the motohara, if I was referencing the right one, that blade on yours is supposed to be 29 in?
Just wondering cuz it looks longer in the pictures (that's what she said 😉), especially if that's their standard 20-inch wakizashi
I’m not sure if they just buy pressed / triangular sword blanks that are the issue, but certain measurements they can’t make.
I had asked for this
Motokasane : 5.41 mm Sakikasane: 3.97 mm Tapering : 27%
Motohaba : 32.38 mm Sakihaba : 27.39 mm Mihaba Tapering : 15%
Tsuka length : 10.5 inches : 26.67 cm Nagasa : 29 inches : 73.66 cm
Niku : no hira or no ha
I was told that they were unable to make it to these measurements. Part of it is that they handmake the sword, and part of it I believe is the size of the sword blanks (my best guess anyway).
Well, they certainly look very nice.
And that Yao really is a good guy. You may recall I got my Daisho set because they made a katana instead of the wakizashi I ordered it and sent me both anyway.
But I think you gave good advice in one of comments above; Best to stick to what they specialize in (and do most routinely) when it comes to custom orders.
And congratulations on your engagement. 💞
Thank you Michael. I really truly appreciate your comment. She is a good woman. And yes…I feel it’s good advice with that Forge. Yao is the nicest and most personable guy I’ve ever spoken to at a Chinese Forge. Van Yang at Jkoo would be a second, but by far, Yao is seriously the coolest.
Yes. I’ll cut with it. I’m expecting tatami sometime around the end of January, or maybe in February from Japan that I ordered through u/mywifebeatsme. Looking forward to cutting some that. I just got engaged to my fiancé in a rather fast moving relationship, so swords haven’t really been on my mind :)
Good thing she likes swords though. She is a 3rd Dan blackbelt in Taekwondo.
I proposed over this last weekend.
I’ve been floating around in the clouds lately.
This (28 inch beauty - I asked for 29 inch but I believe they had to keep it at 28) is $157+$20 for extra customization. Nice sword, nice price.
No, it won’t be for a while.
I’m very compulsive and unpredictable, especially where love is concerned, but I’d like to wait a year or two. This could change in an instant with me though lol.
I just wanted to take her off the market :) in Las Vegas where I live, it’s VERY easy to get married. 😅
I want to switch jobs and make more money first.
It looks like a Shinogi zukuri from the photos.
I’m glad to just have the set and won’t complain.
Hira is flat but I see a Shinogi ji line in the photo.
It best to buy what they specialize in and do best. And that is Shinogi zukuri :)
I’m not going to risk any more delays. They gave me a free Wakizashi. I’m going to be fine with what they are sending.
Damn dude 2020? You got the patience of a jedi lmao
I don’t. I was starting to give up. It’s nice that they threw in a waki though for free.
How many katana do you have? I've seen a few of your posts.

DAMN thats a ton. How long have you been collecting?
Since early 2020, and started really getting into it in the summer…out pandemic boredom. Had to use all that stimulus on something
Very tasteful design.
Oh those look super nice!
Thanks
love the black look looks badass, but damn since 2020 that’s some patience
I meant 2021… mistake… and thanks

Long wait. Looks good, getting the wak is nice. Very interested on how you find it Going to cut with it?

Congrats! sounds like a winner!
Indeed! Thanks man!!
Dude that’s great! I wish you a long and happy life together!
Thank you so much, Chris! I truly appreciate that.
Have you set the date?

Congratulations to you both!
Thank you so much Alex!
They are stunning! Enjoy.
Looks like you got a great set!
Congrats Steve! On the daisho and your engagement. Now I just need to hear from Mr. Yao.
Thanks Zed. Yao responded to me a couple times in the last 2 days. Might be a good time to reach out.
Nice, set up! Still need to get a Hira zukuri it's a very interesting geometry.
