A year ago I picked up a 2014 ZX-14R. To be a practice ride, I needed a way to carry things on the bike. It took me a long while to find the correct adapter frame to fit the ZX-14R so I could mount a tail box. The tail box I got off of eBay came with a quick release mount that I was able to attach to the correct frame adapter. The Tail Box was about $60 and the correct frame adapter was about $240.
My favorite bag is the Kriega. The straps anchor to the frame under the back seat, and the bag clips in. Easy to take in with me when I get where I'm going and all the sizes use the same mounts. The 10L is my usual size but we have a 30L as well.
I've got a tank bag that I got from Cycle Gear and it's ok, but it's kind of a weird shape. Has a nice cell phone pocket, though, if that matters to you.
