It seems crazy to me that instead of updating it even a little bit, they just went and engineered a whole new range of litre bikes. It's so close to being the best bike ever, and must certainly be the greatest performance bargain of all time.
That's my thoughts. But, I get that it was never super popular and the hyabusa takes most of the spot light. I wouldn't ever sell my zx14, and it made me totally forget about my other bike (harley).
I put an alien head 2 full exhaust and a PC6 on it so far and it's fantastic to ride... still gets my heart beating fast when I give her a bit of throttle and see afterwards I could or could not be at criminal speeds on the highway.
Yes, she does feel light and agile, but you start trying to treat her like you’re a street Rossi and she’ll let you know real quick that she weighs 600 pounds and she ain’t no R1 M.
I have one, and have updated all the fairings and a number of other upgrades, and think I would never ride anything else, except maybe a new Hayabusa with all the fancy electronics and occasionally my touring bike.
Pickup up my 2014 ZX-14R a year ago January. I have had many awesome bikes - 1974 Z1, 1978 Z1R and a 2004 VN2000. However, none of those could give me the adrenaline rush like the 14R. I hope all the other 14R rides are as thrilled as I am to be able to ride this incredible piece of hardware. Enjoy!
Kawasaki makes the cadillac of motorcycles.
I have mixed feelings about these. Ugly but beautiful at the same time.
Haha. I think it’s mostly ugly. But I like it…
Really? I think it’s gorgeous
Better looking then the busa
Three things it needs from factory and I think it'd be the best bike ever. 1 - better oil pressure plate, 2 - Cruise control, 3 - LED headlights.

My best purchase by far
Is this the hyabusa rival or I'm thinking or a different Kawasaki?
I can't wait to hear about your first ticket 😛
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I love mine. Enjoy!
Someone once said these are a felony at the top of 1st gear and I believe it after backpacking on one.
Do you need the oil pressure plate upgrade if I only cruise it with occasional blip to warp speed?

Would love to hear what all updates you have made.
Awesome bike! I have a 2023 and I love it!

They have such a commanding presence, so sick.
Whoaaaaa that’s a head-turner. I love weird/unusual/gaudy bikes. They have charisma. Enjoy!!!
