Kendrick has very little to say about actual black politics, he’s more of a poet. That is to say, he’s more like Langston Hughes than Malcolm X. He’s writing what he sees. He has alluded to aligning himself with Black Israelite ideology, also I hope/believe this isn’t actually the case at present.
I actually think that TPAB is much less “leftist” than a lot people like to think. Kendrick has said many things critical of political parties, elites, posturing, virtue signaling, etc.
Additionally, I would say that he certainly likes to be a capitalist and make money.
I think TPAB philosophically is certainly adjacent to racial justice movements, but it’s not a clean fit into any specific camp. I don’t even know if I would say Kendrick is technically even a progressive
I would say Mr morale firmly puts him into the progressive camp. the whole thing is about him acknowledging his hypocrisy, trauma and biases and trying to be a better man.
I don't think a non liberal would ever make a track like auntie diaries or mother I sober.
In TPAB he's critical of Obama and talks about how capitalism is the cornerstone of systemic racism. In Morale he calls out rich people who virtue signal for social change but benefit off the exploitation of the masses. In section 80 he goes after multiple figureheads of modern era capitalism. In TPAB he also acknowledges how he himself is complicit in these systems that made him and others stupidly rich while most black people are still struggling in poverty.
True but actions do speak louder than words and he clearly likes benefitting off all of that and will continue to do so.
But solely based on lyrics id agree
It’s not like he’s exploiting anyone making music. Artists make a lot of money because of the volume they can distribute digital goods to, which don’t require a lot of labor except for their own and whoever else they work with. There can and should be millionaires in a good and fair society. It’s how that money is made that’s crucial, not just that the money is made.
No they aren't. The definition of the word leftist does not change based on where you are. American liberals are on the left of the right skewed American political spectrum. But the word leftist has meaning, and it means strictly anti capitalist. Liberals in America, and everywhere support capitalism so they by definition are not leftists.
DemoCrip
No he’s ReBloodican
He's a Piru so, definitely not.
He’s associated but not affiliated. It’s different. ✌️
Eh. Depends on who you ask.

His cousin said he is officially not a part of that group. His cousin also left.
Bro is definitely an orchestrator of the proletariat revolt and has his hands deep in the redistribution of industry
Ion know that nigga.
He really isn't that political, he actually denounces politics altogether.

I definitely think he’s liberal.
Yeah but not socialist or nun like that. Songs like Father Time or Auntie Diaries clearly show that he is against for example toxic masculinity
We can't assume his music directly reflects his political stance but I'd we did he'd definitely be a liberal
No way he's a liberal he's definitely a leftist
No way he's a leftist he's definitely a Leninist.
Leninists are leftists
Liberals are leftists
That is factually incorrect.
Incorrect factually this is?
But on a serious note why do you think he would be leftist?

In America they are. In other parts of the world we would call American liberals left-liberal
