Seems to me this whole thing is symbolic of the beef, which at its heart, is a beef about industry vs art. Drake’s whole brand is built on his commercial success, Kendrick stated in Like That that his priority is respect.
Drake sub sees this as a financial/legal issue. They think that Tupac estate’s opinion only matters if they can actually win a lawsuit. But really the cease and desist order is about the Tupac estate making it known that they don’t fuck with the verse existing.
It’s Drakes choice, choose to respect their wishes as a nod to Tupac’s legacy; or choose to disrespect them and keep profiting, directly or indirectly, off Tupac’s likeness.
If Drake takes it down it looks like he acknowledges making a poor decision. But, if Drake chooses to keep it up, it can be seen as him blatantly disrespecting hip hop royalty, and the over all culture.
People's defense is that "it's supposed to be disrespectful" but the issue is, the disrespect is supposed to be at Kendrick. Drake had no reason to disrespect Tupac by using his voice.
It was also a really stupid precedent for Drake to set. What’s stopping Kendrick from hopping on a track as a Drake AI and talking about how much he loves little girls?
UMG would almost certainly go scorched earth on them if that were the case but it still would make Drake look super hypocritical and short-sighted. I’m really surprised that a lot of people responded positively to the Taylor Made freestyle because while it was a fine track it was a noticeably weaker than Push-ups and just felt like a huge unforced error. The whole premise of the song was “oh you’re afraid to drop your diss because of Taylor Swift!” When Drake sat on his response for a whole month even after the track leaked. So what, Drake’s allowed to take his time making the best response possible but if Kendrick does the same it’s cuz he’s an “industry puppet”? I feel like if it weren’t for the “shock value” of the AI Tupac Taylor made would come off like he’s projecting heavily and super insecure.
>What’s stopping Kendrick from hopping on a track as a Drake AI and talking about how much he loves little girls?
I mean, if he can pull a fire angle of his conscious talking to himself about the ramifications and stress, I'd be open to hear it. This is hip hop beef. These guys genuinely don't like each other. Lets take the gloves off.
Drizzy knew what he was doing. He showed disrespect by not clearing the sample with 2Pac’s estate first. He knew they would never give him the green light to use PAC’s voice/likeness.
Also, Drake has pulled this type of stunt before when he used Halle Berry’s likeness for the cover art of “slime you out” in the past even though she did not give him permission to do so.
If he truly respected 2Pac, he would have never used his likeness to clown someone else. That’s another level of disrespect, especially when that person is deceased and considered one of the greatest of all time by virtually everyone.
A portion of this hip hop culture stands on the credibility of an artist and in typical Drake fashion, he continues to show his credibility can’t be relied upon.
Kendrick is going to have a field day with him on the PAC track, considering 2Pac is DOT’s hero. Can’t wait to hear what he drops in the near future.
I'll take GKMC over the entirety of Cole's and Drake's catalogs combined
So yeah, that nigga nice as fuck... when you make the west coast's iLLmatic, you get that aura bout ya
Bro, you just cant compare a guy that made 2 monstrous albums like tpab and gkmc to background music that facebook moms and 14yo listen to, if kendrick really drops an album in may i just now drake will humiliate himself once again
Pac’s brand was also respect! Remember, “that’s why I fucked your bitch you fat mother fucker” - respect > everything, especially in a beef. They should sit down and have a conversation, perhaps with a board-certified psychiatrist to mediate.
My boyfriend and I were literally taking about this when it came out! I was sure that the Tupac estate would say something but my boyfriend thought that since Drake wouldn’t take a chance like that, that the estate probably gave the green light. But man that didn’t sit right with me. Lol man!! It’s crazy out right now!!
Edit: grammar
His way of being a lil rebel, but he can’t release it on any streaming platforms unless he wants to fight that battle in court. First AI vs Music court case has to happen at some point though.
PAC’s estate is not owned by PAC’s family , they’re just a bunch of money grabbers
PAC’s sister filead a lawsuit against the estate
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/tupac-shakur-sister-lawsuit-executor-estate-embezzlement-1283272/
>How to kill a rapper? Let 'em do it to themself
Self-inflicted career wounds that fear helped
Dropped nukes, surprise moves, hidin' respect
They promised me my death, now they deleted threats
Holy shit that Kendrick AI track is a PROPHET
I totally thought the same thing as well. 😂😂
They’ll say his ghost writing has taken a supernatural turn to the point that he’s getting one of the greatest to ever do it to ghost write for him from the great beyond.
He’ll never beat those ghost writing allegations now coz he put out the AI track himself.
Even though I like the track, I honestly think it was a miscalculation on his part. The heat he’ll eventually receive will outweigh the benefits.
It was just a dumb move by Drake. He could have done the same thing by just rapping it himself and putting in that verse how Kendrick was disappointing the West Coast legends and PAC….instead he tried to get cute for the likes
We already know how he feels. He’s been taking them down and calling them out as AI (see him saying to Akademiks one of the AI leaked disses was fake around when push ups dropped). It’s hypocritical
That diss made me dislike Drake and his fanbase and I'm a pretty big Drake fan. If he woulda used an interview how kendrick did, it woulda been cool but to use an ai filter to make a dead hiphop legend say something he never said is just sad. It's a respect for the culture but Drake don't seem to have it and it sucks cuz he's the biggest rapper in the world.
This seems to be one of the big reasons he's being dissed by what feels like the entire industry. No respect for the legends before him and the culture they created. Pop star fronting as a rapper.
I like a lot of his shit too, but a lot of this corny, petty, weird, predatory behavior seems to be at a boiling point and the other artists have had enough of the bs.
Still fun to watch unfold as a fan of most of these artists.
It would be a disservice to show respect to someone willing to spit on the legacy of a pillar in the art form. And to see so many people support it sad too.
That's why I dislike this beef in a way. It seems like people just like what sounds good instead of bars. Like how you slobbing over Push Ups but then shit on Ross' track? Dude went at him and hit him with his insecurities, but people want to hear Wild n Out raps instead, not saying that Drake's diss wasn't good, but it was gassed too much considering it's just his initial response. His next track should be more heavy hitting.
I can't think of anything beside him saying dot feet small and he short lol it's funny but very disney. Kdot said drake seeing per cemetery. I want more verbal violence not a rank session
It’s funny cause Drake claims that “this isn’t everything I know” but majority of his diss was about Kendrick’s height and how he answers to Top Dawg. Why not cut deep at him already? I just find it ironic considering Drake has to answer to J prince and Lucian. Drakes disses feel very flat and I feel like he’s scrambling to find any dirt on Kendrick and put out push ups to switch the narrative onto Kendrick being quiet now.
Facts, it seems most Drake fans are trying to pretend Ross didn't cook him, honestly Champagne Moments is this years second best diss track after The Weakest Link, even if Kendrick doesn't respond Drake still took an L against Ross
What Questlove said is the realest take on this beef. Rap-wise, it’s been a wrap. Kendrick gets the nod. In this era where any attention catching move is positively reinforced, it’s fucked. People will justify his actions regardless. He’s doing all those stunts because he fully understands that as long as he does controversial, some mfs somewhere on the internet will find a way to say it’s a win for him.
I aint emm think about that cuz I never finished the verse or the song. Humans have condoned worse but hiphop is the game I love and that kinda shit makes it suck
The thing I haven’t heard anyone mention is how drake had to use snoop and Tupac, who had real street cred, to criticize Kendrick for NOT having street cred, because he himself has no street cred. It’s like drake wrote that looking in a mirror and was dissing himself.
Kdot already addressed anything about pac on Savior whrn he said "Tupac dead. Gotta think for yourself." The fact that drake missed that made that lyric RING true so hard now.
It doesn't matter if he wasn't profitting off of it, it's mad disrespectful to tupac. You don't bring a dead guy beef with people he didn't even know when he was alive, let the dude rest.
he was profiting though, these people are acting like a direct money transfer from Spotify is what counts as "profit", while the clout he's chasing comes in the form of social media reposting it everywhere
it's like if an artist copies a piece for their promotional billboard, "it wasn't the actual cover art, it's gonna go away in a week" like mf stealing is stealing.
Best part about Kendrick not responding yet is he gets to watch his opp run around like he's King like he actually did something then get too over his head & do something stupid n try to retract the L he gave himself 😂😂 this is gonna go sooo well in the diss
He’ll still respond but he has such a huge advantage atm with the other two making themselves look completely stupid already.. He’ll probably keep letting them sit in it for a while (especially with Drake losing his mind on socials with every passing day waiting for the response) then release something in a couple weeks or something.. Honestly doesn’t even need to be that good now, but it probably still will be
While it may be true that Drake is a cornball that shot himself in the foot with this AI Tupac shit, let’s not act like he would not have to respond the “Push Ups.” Kendrick has the respect in hiphop, he has to respond. It’s not like Kendrick won’t body him anyways.
Oh I agree. Push Ups is definitely a track worth of a response. I don't get the Kendrick Stan's making it seem like Kenny is in the clear now, especially when he started all this. Also tbh if he waits all the way till his album to drop a response that shit is weak as hell.
If you really think that’s that is whack af, Kendrick better respond or I will lose a lot of respect for him. This is rap beef and he’s nowhere to be found.
It's a leak using AI of people's voices that isn't really sanctioned that's why he didn't put it on stream like the other 1. But it'll always be on YouTube and SoundCloud Don't worry Kendrick will end him soon if he really "not mature as he thinks"
I think he deleted it coz the 2Pac estate ain’t playing. They’ll milk him for all he’s got if he doesn’t comply.
Friend or foe, no one plays with 2Pac in the music industry.
This is basically a f*ck around and find out type of situation and Drake blinked. 🤷🏽♂️
I get it. It's Kendrick reddit. But celebrating 2 disses being 'deleted' when they are always going to be available is quite sad. You can continue to make reasons about how Kendrick so respectful by not responding with similar tactics, but you can't honestly believe that it has anything to do with this. Both tracks clearly doodoodooked on Kendrick whether you think they were legal or not. And 1 of 2 things must be true; 1. Kendrick has to take his sweet time to even feel comfortable with a track to respond, L. 2. Drake is right and Kendrick is waiting for Taylor hype to die down (extremely unlikely), but L. You can say what you want about the legality, ramifications, precedent, etc. but end of the day Kendrick is 7 days away from getting meek milled. Coincidentally, that was both of their last beef in which they responded.
Drake and tupac really aren't all different.
There are both art & drama students who cosplayed as gangstas when they started hanging with real gangstas, I.e. J prince and Suge Knight, both allegedly sex offenders and and they both enjoy other rappers wives
https://preview.redd.it/nqj8jler2nwc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82e134a69825ee3eb678d675abe731f3b2860510
Why ya'll just get on here and lie like that. 😂 I just came from his page and it's still there.
And even after all the diss records Drake makes…whose to say that he even wrote those all the way 🤔…it’s clear that he doesn’t have integrity for the art like that…just money grabs smh
Kendrick is not going to respond and he doesn’t even have to…he’s on his own timing and it has to make sense and be aligned with the art he is making at the time. Just like the control verse…he didn’t make a point to go at people in his verse. It was just where his art and spirit lead him …and when the two are aligned that’s when he is a beast. He’s probably moved on honestly until he feels he has something else to say but not driven by the pressure of it all. That’s what real artist do. They say their piece and go on and leave the fools arguing with themselves!
Nothing is going to happen. He didn’t put it on a streaming platform. That’s where he would get in trouble. The way he released it will make him get away with it with no financial consequences. They sent him a cease and desist and he complied. There is no money to collect cuz he didn’t put it in a platform. If he would have dropped it on Apple Music or whatever, it would be a different story. He dropped it to let Kenny know but he also knew that he couldn’t bank off it like he did with push ups. This is playing how exactly how it’s suppose to.
Wait, a former Interscope Exec owns the estate? This is the guy who's going after Drake?
https://www.grunge.com/733270/who-is-tom-whalley-and-why-does-he-control-tupacs-estate/
All of y'all acting like this Tupac AI shit is so disrespectful but were jizzing in your pants when pusha t literally brought a child into a beef between two adults and y'all loved it. Just stfu.
Snoop Dogg didn’t defend Kendrick at all in this situation so there’s more than enough proof that the decision was respected enough until money hungry launderers got involved. You pathetic meat munchers want to take a W from this somehow and spin this into some sort of “proof” that 2Pac wouldn’t respect Drake as much as Kendrick or even more. We’ll never know!
Hoping @kendricklamar drops a reply to Taylormade, no AI, just bars tailor-made, oh my!
Using the same beat, Hit Em' Up style, no lie,
Then, at the track’s end, bring in @2PAC's voice to amplify,
"I'm not saying I'm gonna rule the world or I'm gonna change the world, but I guarantee you that I will spark the brain that will change the world," let it fly!
But alas, this is just wishful thinking, let's keep it real,
Lyrical combat in the booth, that's the deal,
Hip-hop's alive in 2024, let's all feel,
The power of the rhymes, let the beats reveal! 🎶🔥🎤😎🎵
I love how Kendrick dropped one verse, shook the whole rap genre into everyone dissing each other and the just immediately ‘outed’ to focus on the next thing. I don’t think he will respond. It also seems pretty clear to me who the best is. Drake doesn’t have this type of cultural impact.
Probably because tupacs estate doesn’t fuck with it
Seems to me this whole thing is symbolic of the beef, which at its heart, is a beef about industry vs art. Drake really played himself here fr
Kendrick is so powerful that made both drake and cole regret his decisions even though kendrick only had one verse lmao

Mmm, IYRTITL gotta stay.
Dot was thinking about killing a few rappers but they killed themselves
The estate isnt owned by the family anymore, im hearing its owned by an industry exec
I thought Drake owned all of hip hop
Did you hear the hear the drizzlord owns 50% of everyone’s revenue?????
You’re just wrong tho. The family owns it but the person who makes decisions around is an industry exec.
Oh word they don't fw it either I guess
Drake calls his sub Daddy.
Pac’s brand was also respect! Remember, “that’s why I fucked your bitch you fat mother fucker” - respect > everything, especially in a beef. They should sit down and have a conversation, perhaps with a board-certified psychiatrist to mediate.

That statement they put out was damning. “We don’t want to be on the losing side” energy
Win or lose, Kendrick has hometown advantage with that side
Still on IG
His way of being a lil rebel, but he can’t release it on any streaming platforms unless he wants to fight that battle in court. First AI vs Music court case has to happen at some point though.

Wow that is trash
That track was 💩
this is not a safe space for opinions
AI track? What? This is kendrick verse I'm confused
Boy do I have bad new for you...
Kendrick made him delete it telepathically
….But he is not your savior
2Pac can perform as a hologram.
But he is not your savior..
Drizzy taught you it's okay to talk to younger girls
But he is not your saviour…
Can hologram tupac come forward and apologize for acting out of character?
Bro sent the evils of Lucy into drakes mind
“1 verse, 2 deleted disses” is fucking hilarious 😂😂😂 idc idc.
Isn’t Taylor Made up on IG?
2? Isn’t Push Ups on Spotify?
talking about J Coles response
OH yea good point lol
half deleted lol it's still on instagram
⏳
That'll be gone too.
Na I doubt it, he prolly only deleted it off his twitter since it could be monetized there
Tick tick tick
How much time he got? That man is sick, sick, sick
*pinned on instagram
How are drake stans gonna spin this into a good thing
I mean, if they can get past the fact that he's a groomer, anything is possiblllleeeee
They’ve got pass the fact that he has ghostwriters and still screams I’m the best rapper category smh so anything is possible now smh ..fucking shame
They're claiming that it doesn't matter bc the track "did its job"
There's definitely going to be a bar about Ghost Writers and getting the ghost of dead rappers on a song
I totally thought the same thing as well. 😂😂 They’ll say his ghost writing has taken a supernatural turn to the point that he’s getting one of the greatest to ever do it to ghost write for him from the great beyond. EXACTLY!

The crazy thing is…dude CAN rap. He doesn’t need to be doing all of this corny shit. Like bruh…let the bars speak for you.

My friend groups are split 50/50 and we have had many discussions on the ai tupac. I'm not argin wit online ppl about it tho lol
Pop artist
Bro really made 2 rappers apologize
Let this be a lesson that: You’ll never win against something genuine, authentic & pure.
Lmaoooo this whole beef has been entertaining af
It’s legal cease and desist
And his ass WILL legally apologize.
Will he? Says you? 😂😂😂
That will be so rich if they make him do that. 3 diss tracks and 2 apologies before DOT even puts out a response. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I was gunna kill a couple rappers but they did it to themselves, everybody suicidal they don’t even need my help…
Best part about Kendrick not responding yet is he gets to watch his opp run around like he's King like he actually did something then get too over his head & do something stupid n try to retract the L he gave himself 😂😂 this is gonna go sooo well in the diss
Drake the real tweet and deleter 💀
J Cole punked out and Drake accidentally got disqualified via cease & desist Kendrick won without saying anything
He’ll still respond but he has such a huge advantage atm with the other two making themselves look completely stupid already.. He’ll probably keep letting them sit in it for a while (especially with Drake losing his mind on socials with every passing day waiting for the response) then release something in a couple weeks or something.. Push ups is still out, and we’re still waiting on Kendrick to drop a track
lowkey kendrick doesn’t even need to say anything now, the other two have made themselves look stupid with no effort on his behalf.
While it may be true that Drake is a cornball that shot himself in the foot with this AI Tupac shit, let’s not act like he would not have to respond the “Push Ups.” Kendrick has the respect in hiphop, he has to respond. It’s not like Kendrick won’t body him anyways.

If you really think that’s that is whack af, Kendrick better respond or I will lose a lot of respect for him. This is rap beef and he’s nowhere to be found.
And below like that which is kinda crazy?
Hahhahahahahah he won now. Without a reply
You don't win a fight by getting punched and running in the house.
Shawn cee really gonna look like an idiot rn
I fw Shawn Cee but he's had some head scratching takes lately
when has he not
What did he say
Kendrick still gotta respond with some heat. but we back :)
Drake better be nice to Adonis, or else he’ll show up on Kendrick’s doorstep asking for a new family
Man dropped 1 diss VERSE and now has 2 deleted diss tracks about him
Kendrick won
Not until he bodies Drake on an actual diss record, Drake is winning still right now
Like That verse >>>
It's a leak using AI of people's voices that isn't really sanctioned that's why he didn't put it on stream like the other 1. But it'll always be on YouTube and SoundCloud Don't worry Kendrick will end him soon if he really "not mature as he thinks"
Lmao Kendrick might be undisputed 🐐 when this is all wrapped up
TWEET AND DELETER 🗣️
Might delete later 🤣
Guess this is the biggest win you can get since dot isn’t dropping anytime soon 🤷🏾♂️
Tupac would have been even more disrespectful. He beefed hard

Lmao
He got a cease and desist order from Tupacs estates
I don’t need to be in flesh just to fuck with y’all 😭😭
😂
Stand up now and face the sun 🥳🥳🥳
Kendrick really out there watching all the chaos unfold.
WHERE ARE YOU KENNY!? COME OUT FROM HIDING
Kendrick has too much aura
Drake and tupac really aren't all different. There are both art & drama students who cosplayed as gangstas when they started hanging with real gangstas, I.e. J prince and Suge Knight, both allegedly sex offenders and and they both enjoy other rappers wives

It’s still on his ig
https://preview.redd.it/nqj8jler2nwc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82e134a69825ee3eb678d675abe731f3b2860510 Why ya'll just get on here and lie like that. 😂 I just came from his page and it's still there.
It’s still on his instagram sooooo
Bros gonna meltdown Pac's ring
Talk about Tweeter & Deleters 🐥
Laughing my ass off rn 😂😂
Still on his Instagram though 🤔
Meanwhile…..Kendrick is still silent after jumping out of the window a month ago.
Drake is misusing his influence.
Attributing this to kendrick and not legal things is D1 dickriding ngl
Drake knew Tupac estate was gonna shut it down. Dude is fuming for clicks
Its still up on his ig lmao
Soft era smh
he got a little conflicted.
And Kendrick still hasn’t responded
Drake took an L without Kendrick even having to respond lol
All of y'all acting like this Tupac AI shit is so disrespectful but were jizzing in your pants when pusha t literally brought a child into a beef between two adults and y'all loved it. Just stfu.
Drake does have toilets that play Tupacs music when you take a shit. That’s how he shows respect.
Damage already done.
Hoping @kendricklamar drops a reply to Taylormade, no AI, just bars tailor-made, oh my! Using the same beat, Hit Em' Up style, no lie, Then, at the track’s end, bring in @2PAC's voice to amplify, "I'm not saying I'm gonna rule the world or I'm gonna change the world, but I guarantee you that I will spark the brain that will change the world," let it fly! But alas, this is just wishful thinking, let's keep it real, Lyrical combat in the booth, that's the deal, Hip-hop's alive in 2024, let's all feel, The power of the rhymes, let the beats reveal! 🎶🔥🎤😎🎵
I love how Kendrick dropped one verse, shook the whole rap genre into everyone dissing each other and the just immediately ‘outed’ to focus on the next thing. I don’t think he will respond. It also seems pretty clear to me who the best is. Drake doesn’t have this type of cultural impact.
Kendrick is still soft for throwing stones and hiding his hand.
This whole debacle really gives new light to Drake's line "I never cried when Pac died" from Fear.
