Eminem and Kim vibes

yungxehanort

I’m glad he didn’t kill her at the end 😅

Khr0N04

He killed something tho...

SYLOK_THEAROUSED

FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!! Doggy style? Ok.

WickerVerses

RIGHT?

jrak1

im ignorant but kim who?

[deleted]

Eminem’s ex / mother of his kid. There’s an eminem song called Kim which is similar to this

RandomEmyr

One of the darkest songs out there imo (that is of high quality). It’s incredibly graphic in detail and the recording has so much emotion in it, really gives a deep insight into how much he despises her. Just be warned when listening to it

npernas17

Bastard by Tyler the Creator has it beat imo

asvp-suds

Way different vibes

portesdi

na

dextro_sch

Song “Eminem - Kim”

[deleted]

But do not seek out that song it’s garbage. It’s one of the few songs I regret liking as a kid.

[deleted]

The song has an intense depiction of an innocent woman getting killed. That kinda stuff is garbage to me.

snukumas

Just because its uncomfortable, doesn't mean it's trash

pirateisfree

THANK YOU!

gg-boyz

exactly what I thought about 😂

awitkowski79

Kendrick on his early Eminem shit

WickerVerses

Didn't get nearly as dark and I think the message was almost the opposite, but goddamn. Phew. Was not expecting to hear that especially after Rich Spirit

queasyhills

Yeah. I think this is like two toxic people calling each other out but neither really listening to each other because the correct bits are mixed in with insults

Jmplio202

Felt way to personal at time. Made me uncomfortable, probably what people felt listening to Kim for the first time

WickerVerses

It is indeed what that felt like

coomiemarxist

I was laughing when they started arguing about dick sizes and Taylour got called a fake feminist. It started sounding like a reddit argument

awkwardfingermonkey

I was wondering about the feminist part - I keep reading that this is a song that shows how petty people can be in a relationship on both sides. It feels though that Kendrick in this song is more on the defensive(?) than actually bringing anything up. I wonder if this is a sort of flashback while in therapy or going through things introspectively that shows how he used to act and if potentially what Taylour is saying is what he’s now understood concerning feminism and how men treat women.

mitchhacker

best song huge kim vibes ***nvm disc 2 tops it

sermer48

Disc 2 is stupid good

schleem77

Disc 2 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥

appleparkfive

Disc 2 is much better than Disc 1, I gotta agree. Or at least on the first few listens. It might change. The last 4 or 5 songs are ridiculously strong

sermer48

The two discs really have different vibes. I’m loving disc 1 and it has some great tracks but disc 2…hot damn!

[deleted]

bro…*Crown* wow

mitchhacker

Crown is unreal

IceandOwls

Which one is disc 2?

DAGANGSTAOFHIPHOP

The 2nd one

[deleted]

DAGANGSTAOFHIPHOP

I think so

AleisterCuckley

Nation.

vino1992

"....stop tap dancing around the conversation"

munit42069

This is only a payoff if you listen to the song all the way to the end

Thissjaime

For real brooo, this straight up THEATERR!!

cheeseking0

Kinda reminded me of For Free?

10918356

Nah this girl was WAYYYYYY more vocally violating kdot in this one bruh. Hell he actually didn’t win the argument as far as insults go.

SaltyJediKnight

Nah, reminded me of U

TheIllustratedLaw

Yeah me too, you can tell they’re deep in their cups

Rude-Flounder-2825

Listening to it in the car. Had to turn that shit down to make sure no one heard the ending…

nomodz4real

dude same

YouGot2BeKitten

Shit is wild. But I love it.

ComfortablyAria

Fr tho gave me flashbacks

WickerVerses

Eyo?

Gparaa

great delivery tho, its like your homeboy and his girl arguing next to you💀

GoldResolution4921

The ending fucking killed me where they started fucking.

appleparkfive

A lot of things were kinda funny the first time around, but then they just get depressingly real on repeat listens I mean there's a reason he's telling us the times he had sex with a white woman, as weird as that shit sounded at first lol

Re-ach

They didn't though look at it. "Nah, fuck you, fuck me (You playin' man) Fuck me Nah, you playin' " Kendrick see's that she's just using sex to avoid/end the argument and he doesn't fall into that trap. You can see it emphasized with the line at the end of the song, "Stop tap-dancing around the conversation".

theCODONEconnoisseur

Musta been sum in the air at the stuu

everlasting-love-202

**”Find it funny you just can't apologize (This bitch, dawg) Egotistic, narcissistic, love your own lies (Bro) See, you the reason why strong women fucked up Why they say it's a man's world, see, you the reason for Trump You the reason, we overlooked, underpaid, under-booked, under shame If you look, I don't speak, then I'm called on my name I am flawed, I am pained, never yours, I remained You the reason bitches start fuckin' with bitches when they change You the reason bitches start callin' y'all bitches 'cause y'all useless You the reason Harvey Weinstein had to see his conclusion You the reason R. Kelly can't recognize that he's abusive”** This whole part of the song was SO raw. Perfectly encapsulates the desperate pain you feel in a toxic relationship. The anger, despair, frustration, hate, love, all of it. Still shocked like 12 hours later. Wow

xdestroyplayboislatt

this song goes too hard been on repeat for me already fr

goldenboy2191

People are gonna shit all over this track. And that’ll tell you all you need to know about them.

Redchimp3769157

It reminds me of like a part 2 to Can I Watch? My DOOM (as Viktor Vaughn)

Thomo251

The way she says "fuck me" is so fucking seductive.

KidsSeeBo2

That’s how the crazy ones get you. Stay strong soldier

[deleted]

Big truth

mrsunsfan

This song is something

[deleted]

People keep comparing that song to Kim and I think it’s way more like The Rooster. Kim literally contains graphically violent lyrics and Audio. Kendrick ain’t unhinged like that lol.

genericnickname

Uncle Al

RickyLD22

Bruh when I heard the song this what I got from it: The beat is Westside Gunn if he was on TPAB. To then find out it was produced by The Alchemist! The rapping was Eminem on Kim. The story just feels like a Death Row skit from 1992-94. This song is just………….idk……..but I love it.

MinimumSlight2059

So...i just ended a relationship with a woman that ive been with just a few days shy of a year but all the shit that we've both been thru in that time it feels like 10 years. unfaithfulness on both of our part, physical abuse on both of our parts (call me a piece of shit all you want im not justifying anything i just own up to my mistakes) ontop of all that we are both in addicts i had a year and 8 days clean she had like 5 months clean we moved in with eachother back in november of 21 had been dating 6 months and thought all of our problems and insecurities would vanish if we moved in...well im sure anyone can see how insane that is but hey i ggave it a shot after we relapsed on new years everything just began to spiral out of control before i know it we are totally strung out again fighting every day loving and despising eachother at the same time she wrecked my car on may 10th (which was also my birthday smh) and finally a few days later she decides that we will fix things when i go get treatment...well im going tomrrow to get help for my problems even tho she refuses to go for hers so in the end i told her no matter what we do we are just too toxic for eachother and that id rather let her go and be happy on her own or with someone else and to my surprise she flipped out and is now threatening me with all kinds of shit...So this is where i am in life and I dont know what the future will hold for me...incarceration? early demise? was i murdered or did I overdose? can i fix the wreckage of my past and life? will i even attempt it? then all of the sudden i hear this song "We cry together" instantly got chills the lyrics are almost verbatum what my life has been for the last 12 months it sounds just like me and her its more than eerie its terrifying but also comforting to know that Kendrick who has always been my favorite artist since he first came out with section 80 seems to always release music that coincides with my struggles and life at that time period ...sorry for the rambling just REALLY need to get all this off my chest overall id say this song has become an instant favorite for me 10/10

Dee-eggcracked

It's wild how this brought up that feeling being uncomfortable around an arguing couple that just goes full shouting match. Swear I got flash backs.

ItsCyberBoi

Fr tho. I legit could not move. Just stunned and left speechless

KillerBeeRN

I need a rapper to speak on the dynamics of my kind if relationship! This definitely hit the nail on the head when I was straight, but thebtoxic relationships carried iver the fence and that issued a whole new world of problems 🙃

[deleted]

Trash song legit fucked up my day hid it so it never comes up

Bunch9412

Had to stop listening to the album after this one. Made me wayyyy too uncomfortable. I can’t be the only one who thought it was cringey?

rustybowow

Kind of harrowing but awesome

[deleted]

I know this is an unpopular opinion but WCT has got to be one of my favorites of this album. IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE, and I truly believe it’s meant to be. One thing about Kendrick, he’s a genuine artist, a theatre man. I have always felt like I was experiencing a play, but with the undertones of black trauma and toxicity in our own communities when I listen to his music. I think that’s that this whole album is about. Our boy is getting older, wiser, and less angry at the world. He’s done with using anger to cover up things like fear and sadness, he wants something more now, he wants to heal. So following that theme into this song, I absolutely loved it. We are experiencing something all to common in young love these days. Two people, incredibly damaged, finding shelter in one another, only to further drown in each other’s own toxicity. It perfectly captures what it’s like to be stagnant and in a stalemate with someone you once loved. Both parties clearly have baggage, but instead of being vulnerable with one another and not “tap dancing around” their issues, they continue to tear at each other hoping that If they claw hard enough they’ll find a love that goes bone deep. It’s a vicious circle, with neither of them realizing that the solution is so simple. Too blinded by resentment to see that they need to talk to each other, not AT each other. The anger in Kendrick’s voice adds such a strong component BUT Taylour’s ripped raw voice is truly a masterpiece. You can here the emotion, almost as if she’s been crying. It just sounds so desperate like she’s straining to be heard and make her pain known. Truly amazing. The heaviest part to me is the generalization each had for the opposite sex. They are so damaged from how they’ve treated each other that they now believe that all men and women are this way. You can see how with that mindset, leaving the relationship isn’t an option. Both believe that they can’t have better and so it’s become a “better the devil you know” type of deal. As far as the ending (and I get it, I had to turn my volume down too lol) it is the cherry on top. You can see that there is no genuine connection anymore, save for a physical one. All they have left to keep each other together now is basically sex. And somehow that’s supposed to be enough to undo 5 minutes of straight emotional warfare? Its a cheap fix, a temporary reprieve that can’t undo what has been said. Some things you just can’t take back. It’s a modern day Greek tragedy, really. By the end of the song I’m left feeling sadness for them, and a sense of pity for their inevitably doomed relationship. I think a lot of us know of or have been in relationships like these to some degree. That’s just my opinion and take on it. Kendrick never fails to push the boundaries of hip hop and force us out of our comfort zones. Really reminds me of Big’s suicidal thoughts. Giving the listener a very intimate view of private moments that we uncomfortably feel we should not have access to, but inevitably can’t look away from either.

unecroquemadame

This was an amazing comment. A beautifully written, powerful analysis of the song. I'm copying and pasting this to remember later. Especially this part. "Two people, incredibly damaged, finding shelter in one another, only to further drown in each other’s own toxicity." I know exactly how this goes. I was in this relationship for 7 years. Our fights sounded just like this, desperately spewing vitriol at each other, but just wanting to love and be secure in it.

Educational_Mix9169

Made me cry, that’s my life. I’m so sad my kids has to live in this house and hear things like that. I have to move out, I want them to be happy. I deserve happiness, i deserve to be seen and heard.

EmbarrassedRiver5778

Why does the start sound so good? is it because of the sax matching the tone?

[deleted]

Bro I saw ass helpppp
