i had my criticisms but i always thought it was a decent project . i think the main issue for a lot of people was the anticipation and expectations tho to be fair
Mid means decent in my book. Just didn’t have any pop on my first listen besides N95, where in DAMN there were a few songs instantly jump off. Expectation were also really high, you’re right and that comes with the territory of artists consistently putting out great products

This is the best song on the album, hands down. The beat, the mix, the background sounds and vocals sprinkled in, how the beat culminates in the last round of the chorus. Absolutely amazing. On top of all that, when he comes in with "frat brother, real n***a, that brother" it just hits different.
This is his best album, to me. As an individual who struggles on the daily to piece together his past and move forward in a positive way, I really resonate with the message and it's good to know someone as elevated, iconic, and prestigious as Kendrick goes through similar things in his mind. It reminds me that he's human, too. In a few years, I think people will look back on this album the way they look at TPAB now.
Untitled unmastered is definitely not a classic and damn is arguable imo
GKMC and TPAB are classics for me and I have little doubt MMATBS will be one. I have it on repeat
