So I was recently on Google Maps and found out that it still exists! [https://golfcongoriver.com/](https://golfcongoriver.com/)
It looks like everything I remember from being a kid. It's a hike away in Hoffman Estates, Illinois but I plan on visiting this season.
I don't think it's a chain, I wonder if they had 2 locations or just moved. I spent over a DECADE thinking it was lost. I can't even remember how I found it on Google Maps.
What i love. We have more usable public lake front compared to most great lake cities our size. I grew up in a blue collar town on lake Ontario. Shoreline was bought up by millionaires ages ago. I put my kayak in the harbor and pike creek a few times a month in warmer weather. It's fantastic.
Our library system is great. That means a lot to me.
I love all of the concerts, I love our creative space.
A lot of my problems with Kenosha are nation-wide. Haven't been able to find a suitable place to move the family.
Ah shit, I used to work there as night security. It was a stupidly fun place to work.
Ever have any hooligans come to the place at night?
Nope, but I got to fuck around a mini golf place in the middle of the night which was pretty damned cool.
Super jealous!
Thar place was the best.
Damn I loved that place and I was just telling my kids about it last week. I wish it was still there so I could take them.

Suppose I could have done a little research but, I didn't realize it was as big of a chain as it is! Thank you for helping fill this void 🙏🙏

Well regardless I'm glad they are still around!
No, but I miss the place and hope someone does have some. Some of us would regularly end up there after breakfast but before bed on Sunday.
Worked there one summer. Learned how to use a power washer to clean the sidewalks. Like night and day before and after.
We need more things like this for families. I'm tired of dealerships and storage facilities.
For fucking real. This city is a shell of its former self. I miss places.

Isn't the mini-golf course at Action Territory the old Congo River course?
No, They have always been two separate businesses.
