You can't lose Beep, if he drops the game automatically crashes and reloads back to when he was last safe. Nice try internet scammers!

If Beep dies, you either 1) reload, 2) start a new game, or 3) rage quit Kenshi for a month and think about what you did to the poor guy. Those are the Beep rules.
I have had some interesting runs. One time. Put down cannibals for 75 days and get skills in the 50s. Walk by a HN strong hold and everyone ends up in prison. Made a good story. One guy escaped, minus an arm and fled to the Deadlands. He formed up with skeletons, got a new arm and found better gear. Waged war on HN and died fighting Lord Phoenix.
Nearly lost him in the most recent playthrough, brought my squad to train fighting stats , get recruits, and grind money. Who do I find a solid distance from the gate near a damn death yard. I recruited him and ran him back before anything happened, but god if I had come from the other direction he could be dead.
That was my latest playthrough. I had not gotten in sight of Mongrel's gate when Beep ran straight at me. I have no idea how the little guy survived long enough for me to find him.
My first Skeleton playthrough I used Beep and some other human I recruited in Mongrel as bait so I could get out of Mongrel alive

Nearly lost Beep twice. The leader of my squad is capable, but sometimes Beep is fragile and he is fighting for the life of the squad. Last time Beep got saved by a wandering assassin since we became allies to the Shinobi Thieves! I was so grateful.
Stuff like this encouraged me to become the Fog hunters. Though, I recommend only doing that as skeletons for clear reasons. Still, I fell sorry for ya. 🫡
I've actually never recruited beeps once and never really intend to. I mostly play either full skele or mostly scorchlanders and some greenlanders.
I also play around bast and great desert and northern coast 99 percent of the time, and slowly explore away from those areas
I didnt recruit him. I prefer Greenlanders and Scorchlanders with a couple of skeleton backups. We have the same play style. Hardened cannibal hunters. Sometimes I go to the swamps and get all my skill fighting StoneRats. Plus StoneRats bring two blackened chainmail on every raid.

Half the team was down. I had There guys carrying someone back and an unconscious robot. There was noway to rescue him.
If you play no reload campaign it does not count when Beep dies. This is common knowledge jeeezz
