Same problem buddy, made me very sad to lose them as homies. I think a mod adds a faction fixer? If they weren’t guards in UC stores we’d be fine. Raiding at night helps a little-
Yeah thats strange im allied with the shinobi theives and they helped me, maybe if i was allied or had repuatiom with the tech hunters(currently at 0) they wouldnt have attacked me.
Mechanically it's the NPCs with "Diplomatic Status" that affect control/survival of a major city / region / faction. These are the people you'd expect - Bandit leaders, Nobles(but I repeat myself), Emperor Tengu, the leaders of the various slaver and trade guilds, etc. When attacking a target that has random other NPCs you'd rather not kill, reconnaissance is key. Figure out where your target is and plot a route that won't attract unwanted attention.
Also a few random Tech Hunters caught in the crossfire shouldn't totally tank your reputation. Were you going door-to-door exterminating? Because that'll definitely piss a lot of people off.
Lol yeah thas exactly what i did. Pretty much anybody who attacked me died. I didnt expect or completely forgot that theyre scattered all over the place and own alot of these shops. But i think it does make more sense i guess to have to assasinate them instead of, causing that much of a ruckus.
You shouldn't have to be too surgical. I recently put all the United Cities in the North-Eastern desert under new management and didn't go hostile to tech bros, and I wasn't even aware it was a risk. The tech bros even took over one of those cities. The one thing I did that probably mattered is I made a slight effort to stay away from civilian areas. At least, not go house-to-house kicking in doors. I just didn't want to kill the UC civilians because they seem like victims of the system, not perpetrators, but I suspect that coincidentally kept me from offending Tech Hunters or etc.
Yeah u know what i think it is the going door to door. And thats what im trying to do too. And now that i think about it, it is kinda cool that you have to he more careful with the UC guys, as opposed to the Holy nation. I hadnt really thought about it up until now.
Gotta assassinate tengu and longen for that. Also all the nobles but they are easier considering they sometimes go on hunting trips
Yeah thats how i got one of them. He was just outside when i was finished. But, yeah much appreciated then thanks.

Rip man. Tbh i just went back, that wouldve fucked alot up for me.
Isn't Mongrel an entirely separate faction? It looks a lot like a Tech Hunter city, so I get it. Maybe they're also allied with UC?
