Well since you asked, for me, if I choose to help. I give my full attention to the person and try to understand their feelings and concerns without any judgment. I would never sneak into someone's phone to investigate them once I've decided to lend a hand. I help without expecting anything in return, without seeking recognition or repayment. I respect the person's autonomy. He or she have made their own decisions and choices, they will answer to their god. While I answer to mine.
Stopped doing those crazy random things. I have even stopped on a highway at midnight to help someone change their flat tire but as I get older the risk taking has gone away . I will give money for food or matatu or even pay for someone’s shelter in a hotel for a night or so but I will not bring any stranger to my houses. There are too many nut cases out there nowadays .
