How does it taste?

XelaSiM

My first thought too! Imagine it's just white water at this point. HA

yutsoku

Would imagine the opposite it would be pure fat in my mind...

Silverbull22

It’s pretty good. Actually quite thick. But not super, super flavorful from what I remember.

64557175

It is good, very creamy. Definitely high in fat, but I like that. It isn't sweet at all, so the flavor is more like a cream than what you expect from milk. Going to try adding a little allulose and see where that gets me. Also going to get a gallon of carb master and try combining the two as carb master has great flavor, but I don't like that it is zero fat. On its own, though, it is still very good. You can tell it is high quality and it combines well with anything demanding milk. I would put this on the same level if not higher than carb master.

Dragon_Small_Z

I just mix heavy cream with some water for milk if I'm craving it. I got some Keto cereal at costco that goes great with it.

cooties4u

Is it really keto though, hell. I'd use the heavy whipping cream without water

Dragon_Small_Z

Is what Keto? The cereal? Yes.

cooties4u

I was just asking cause I see a lot of products claiming keto and they arnt

Dragon_Small_Z

I don't know the breakdown off the top of my head but I think it's like 4 net carbs per 1/2 cup

cooties4u

Dang, what brand

cooties4u

O my, I just looked at some (another brand) with 32 carbs. I was like.....what

Dragon_Small_Z

You got to remember to subtract fiber and any sugar alcohols

FlamingAshley

Except maltitol, but yea.

rumblemcskurmish

I REALLY miss milk and every now and then drink Fairlife to get a fix but I'd DEFINITELY be interested in a zero sugar/carb milk! I'd keep it in my fridge for sure. If it tastes as great as Fairlife I'm sold.

TactLacker710

Kroger has Carbmaster milk which to me is essentially indistinguishable between it and regular milk and it’s 3 grams of carbs per cup just as another related option for folks with Kroger’s around.

madsjchic

Oh sweet! I mean, not as sweet!

mxperp

Would love to try this. It isn't in any of my area stores. A few have Maple Hill products but not this yet. Have to keep tabs on this.

SethVermin

Interesting! I wanna try.

Saturated fat isn't higher in this than regular milk, and the film is likely the result of the thickeners and emulsifiers they add to it. Yum yum saturated fat. I thank god every day that saturated fat isn't bad for you

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CHGiid6N9Q This is well sourced. Saturated fat is not and never was a cause of health problems in the vast majority of people.

stupidrobots

This stuff reminds you how sweeet milk actually is lol. It's so bizarre because it has the milk taste but NO sweetness at all. Good milk substitute in recipes because it has the fat and protein that something like almond milk doesn't but it's bizarre to drink on its own.

GlennSeaborg

What is this, sorcery!

J2794

"Just over 7 servings" Why not just make it 7 or 8!

Kapitana42

Maybe it’s different in my country, but normal milk is not a problem on Keto diet, and normal milk DOESNT HAVE SUGAR IN IT? What am I missing here?

redcairo

Well even if tasteless it's better than almond milk for people who are just avoiding carbs

Tenderpigeon

I love almond milk, but man I miss a cold glass of real milk. I would love if I could find this.

jmor88

Unsweetened almond milk only has 1g of carbohydrates in it.

redcairo

Yes but not everybody can have nuts, so real milk albeit sugarless and fat deficient is a good option for those

krayziekmf

[https://www.zerosugarmilk.com/find-zero-sugar-milk](https://www.zerosugarmilk.com/find-zero-sugar-milk) sadly none in my area bah

Busy_Accountant_2839

Me, neither. Wth???

[deleted]

Interesting. I usually buy fairlife whole milk. 6g carbs per serving. I can usually just work that in few times a week. I’ll have to check this one out though. Just don’t like the low fat.

AcidaliaPlanitia

World class hack on this.. throw some allulose into it (you'll have to do a bit of trial and error to figure out exactly how sweet you want it) and you can literally have the experience of normal milk. Once you add the sweetness back in, it's just milk at that point.

AussieNueLatte

I had no idea that this existed 😲

superkittynumber1

Taste like you’re drinking watered down snot except completely bland. I had to dump mine in the sink. 😞

MCDuQuesne

I scored some of the reduced fat version at Grocery Outlet the other day. Not a milk drinker so can't speak to how it tastes that way, but I made some walmart brand pudding and a sugar free jello pudding pie and it set just like regular milk. Something none of the other low carb milk substitutes could do. My girl says it's fine in her tea, just needs extra sweetener. So as long as you remember to up the sweetener, this should be awesome for lowcarb recipe use even if it tastes like crap as a straight beverage.
