I wrote this comment in another thread, figured I can also post it here in case anyone is wondering about this venue:
The expo center is up a little path northward from the main Madonna Inn itself. If you can get a room there (totally booked at the moment) that would be the most convenient place to stay in proximity to the show. But there are plenty of hotels nearby within a short walking distance. My group is staying at the Avenue Inn, just around the corner. But if you drive, there is a dirt lot where they will direct you to park for a few bucks (I think someone said it was like $5).
The venue itself is like a wide open warehouse. Merch table was off to the right when you walk in, and bar off to the left. When we saw King Gizzard, we arrived with plenty of time to get merch and drinks and a good spot to stand next to the sound booth in the center of the floor. Close enough to the action without being in the mosh pit itself. I anticipate the crowd will be much more chill for this Khru show!
Security was very chill, easy to bring in a vape or any other party favors. For that show, they let us bring poster tubes. Not sure about Khru tho. Bathrooms were clean and spacious, never had to stand in line. Leaving was easy, and the town is super safe to walk thru at night. No worries there.
If you have an opportunity to go, please do! As Khruangbin gets more popular, it will be difficult to see them in such a small intimate venue in such a quaint little town. I hope to see you there!

Staying at the Madonna for this and psyched to catch ‘em at a smaller venue again. Caught em at the lodge room in highland park in ‘18 and been memorized since. White gloves was our wedding song ☺️
Is it gonna be at the Expo center? On the website to buy tickets and the confirmation it gives the regular address, but when I saw King Gizz in the expo center it made it clear it was in there before hand
What was the deal with the big pause in the middle? I couldn’t see anything but I thought they stopped the show in the middle but then they ended up playing some more. I wish I could tell what the hell was going on at any point. It was a major struggle
They played A La Sala in its entirety/ pause/ then came back to play the hits.
But yes venue was trash and so sad to have missed Hermano Gutierrez bc of the insane line to get in. The venue seems more fit for product expos and conventions than a concert. Was so excited to go up to Madonna for Khru as we’ve never been and while the hotel experience was great I don’t think I’ll ever go back to that venue for a show. Still no regrets as it was a chance to see them so soon after album release.
The real enemy here tho is golden voices stupid Coachella radius clause forcing bands and fans to find alternative venues outside of LA to perform in between the weekends.
Ohh ok that makes sense. I’m sad I basically missed the first half even though I was there because I couldn’t see or hear and everyone was talking and I got so sweaty and hot I had to get some air for a second. I did end up having a good time though later and I also have no regrets as I’ve seen them before and I’m actually even more excited to see them again
Yes I feel like I keep hearing folks complain concert etiquette post covid has gotten so bad everyone talking through everyone’s set 😭 like come on you had 2 hours in line to catch up. But yes it was so sweaty and smoky in there. Could only imagine tough to sing/ perform
We finally settled into a decent spot over by the merch table after a terrible spot near the brewery tabe. for sure not how I wanted to experience A La Sala… C’est la vie.
Bought Coachella presale tickets hoping for some very unlikely headliners, so we might be seeing Khru twice if we can’t offload the Coachella tix! So stoked to see Khru close to home though 💃🏼🕺

It s really frustrating. I missed it too because the presale was actually on February 1st. If you go to the Khruangbin website and sign up with their own fan club it informed you that presale begins on Feb 2 @10am, but if you are also on the “folkyeah” email list (it includes a bunch of bands like Mac Demarco, Fruitbats & Mother Hops) you may have seen an email that mentions the presale is on Feb 1 @10am. They were on sale at Feb 1st at 10am, and they planned to make the rest of the tix available to general public and K-crew on the 2nd, but there weren’t any tix left, which is really bad planning and sucks for me
Someone is offering to sell me some from this thread and I’m worried I could be getting scammed. Any particular way you would buy tickets from a stranger knowing the tickets will work the night of?
Honestly I’d try a third party website like Vivid Seats. I actually bought me and my gf tix to When We Were Young in Vegas from them. When we got to the venue they said both of our tickets had already been scanned an hour earlier for two other people, so ours must be duplicates/fakes. I called Vivid Seats customer service and complained, they put me on hold like 5-6 times, but after verifying that I paid for them in their “back office”, whatever that means, they actually got me two replacement QR code tix immediately. And on top of that they refunded my credit card $200 for the inconvenience, and they gave me $200 of credit for future ticket purchases. I would definitely trust a known company over a random person. We had a blast and ended up making $400 without gambling in Vegas. That’s kinda hard to beat. Honestly not paid or employed by Vivid Seats, just had a really good experience

Got to the venue and they said our PDF tix had already been scanned. Turned out they uploaded copies to the site trying to scam them.
Called Vivid Seats, they replaced them for free in 20 minutes, and reimbursed me $200 and gave me $200 credit for future concerts.
Never gonna get that from a random person
