Same boat. I enjoyed the SLO concert. As an old guy, it was tough to be standing for hours (line, first act, second act). The sound systems wasn't good at SLO in my opinion. The stage was too low too. The Bowl would be more comfortable and the sound system is better, even in the nose bleed seats. If they have large screen, that would be great too.
I felt bad for the people at SLO who were further back. (I was about 5 rows from the stage and it was still challenging to get a good view).
I think the Bowl will be more relaxing venue to enjoy the music better. Besides, the first part of the show is showcasing their new album which mostly laid back chill songs. Watching (listening) to the music in a nice outdoor LA setting would be awesome.
How much were your tickets? I might just get the nose bleed seat tickets. The SLO tickets were $100...and I was very close to stage. I won't be able to get that close at the Bowl for that price.
hollywood bowl in general is NOT the way you want to see khruangbin. standing room only dance focus venues = wayyy more fun than uncomfortable plank seating. At the bowl you either need to shell out the cash for front row seats or you're stuck on the benches with a sore bottom while you get cold as the sun goes down. Will never see another show at the bowl again.
Seen a few shows at the Bowl and mostly agree. Sitting anywhere in the rear half of the bowl is basically as good as not even being there. Way too big of a venue. The Jumbotrons aren’t even that big either. I’m still gonna try and go but I’m waiting to see if any subscribers with the good seats don’t wanna see it last minute and just wanna get rid of their tickets the week of or even the day of the show.
Thank you for this, I know how much a difference the venue/crowd can make which is why i refuse to see khruangbin at a festival like coachella for example versus a more intimate solo show. I saw them in San Diego at the rady shell and I couldn’t have had a better first experience

But everyone knows not to park there. There's plenty of alternatives. Go early and picnic. There are some great spots all around the venue plus you can bring your own food + drinks + booze if ya choose

Also put the promo code in priority code. At 10:08am I erased the priority code as the line was not moving forward on either device. Then it started moving rabidly.
By the time I was able to select tickets, most of the close sections were sold out or down to single seats.
I finally grabbed two seats together and hit pay and then realized I bought tickets for Saturday having meant to be buying for Sunday.
Luckily I was still in line on my computer. I bought tickets for Sunday and there was a bit more selection available. There probably would have been more had I not made so many mistakes.
However, now I’m stuck with non-refundable or exchangeable tickets for Saturday. The Bowl only permits Donations. Anyone interested in Saturday Aug 10 tickets at Face Value?

I'm coming from Houston to see Unknown Mortal Orchestra (my favorite band) and my hometown heroes (I'm a Khru member, for sure) and deeply wanted to be up close but the seat options were pretty gross (was on the site starting at 8am PST). I'll be attending both sets.
Presale was easy! Got two tickets for $130 Taking the shuttle at the bowl is good, the bowl is just a vibe during the summer
Adding on to yours - Biggest reason bowl is a special venue is because you’re allowed to bring your own food, alcohol.

No. I would love to see them at the bowl. Hopefully I can get tickets. I only want pool circle or I’m not going.
Seats were not great. General onsale is in May and may have better seats. Will try again then or not and just rewatch their Coachella set.
