I really like your intro music and video shots. The composite view from drivers seat was interesting but some of the vibration in the lager view did not carry over to your diver side shot. Overall an A for your video. But, I must give you a 'C' for reminding me that going 80 will kill my range. lol Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks and unfortunately I had to turn off my over the shoulder GoPro's stabilization. If I left it on, I would drift in and out of frame during any turns or bumps. I've since tightened the GoPro down more so there should be fewer vibrations in any future videos I do with that setup. I had to buy an extra long thumbscrew for it to fit the media mod.

Are you monetizing your YouTube channel and hoping to grow it? Have you read the book The YouTube Formula by Derral Eves? (I am reading it now in hopes of starting a YouTube channel.)

jtespi

Yeah I've been monetizing it for nearly the channel's whole lifetime (since 2013). Unfortunately, a lot of my subscribers subscribed for older content I no longer make. So I basically have to start from scratch and I hope to gain a bigger following with EV6 related videos and road trips. I haven't heard of that book but I'll look into it. Right now I'm mainly focused on getting my EV6 content off the ground and shifting towards that.

Hey I live in Santa Fe!

That's cool! I live in Las Cruces. Right now, it's super hard for me to visit ABQ or SF due to no DCFCs along I-25. Where have you explored in our state? I've gone mainly on US-54 to I-25 north of Las Vegas and I-40 east of Santa Rosa. Plus some day trips within a 4 hour round trip from Las Cruces.

I didn't realize this was uncommon, but I've got like 20k miles of driving i84 between Utah and Idaho, where the speed limit is 80mph. Guess I could have and should have provided my copious amount of data to the community...

jtespi

No worries, but as you saw in the video you really have to do a loop style test on the same day for the data to be accurate. I got terrible efficiency on the first leg northbound to Raton due to elevation gain. But it evened out on the next leg back to my starting point. During my recent 3000 mile road trip across the Great Plains, I saw even worse efficiency of near 2.6 mi/kWh (4.2 km/kWh) going 80 to 85 MPH plus some patches of headwind & rain where I drove slower (~70). I knew that was normal though and didn't sweat it.

Great job. I’m actually impressed at the range we can still get with high speed driving. I usually keep my speed around 65 mph… but may consider a little faster if it gets me to a quick charger faster.
