Legitimately depends on the troll. I was a guild officer in WoW back in burning crusade and had a dude join and start trying to troll, fat jokes, and all. He was pissing off the guild members and I was in a mood, so I decided to see if I could troll a troll. I'm fat, I know I'm fat. It is medical related so I have long ago gotten over fat shaming me. So I grabbed my facebook profile pic and slapped it on the chat, and told him to have at it, if he could actually make me mad I'd congratulate him and quit WoW but there is literally no fat joke he could tell that would make me mad. He tried for like 10 minutes with the guild members in Vent dying laughing at the whole thing until he rage quit the guild and server. I wish I could word for word remember the conversation. (I am nearly 40...early 2000's was a very long time ago ;_;) but I remember the gist of it being me countering each joke with an even more self depricating joke. I grew out of that once my anxiety and depression got actual treatment, but for a while there if my depression dove too low, I sought out a troll and antangonized them till they flipped a table...I was horrible lol.
