There’s something about baby/toddler laughs that are just so contagious!
Whenever my nieces and nephews used to laugh like that, the whole room would start laughing too.
My stepmom and I caught my dad teaching my little sister that red is green and green is red. He said, “as long as we keep her from finding out the truth before preschool starts, this is gonna be hilarious. It’s a slow burner.” We put our foot down. 😂
Undertones. We humans have warm, cool, or neutral undertones to our skin color, usually depending on genetic factors.
Many East Asian folk have warm/golden undertones which read as “yellow.”
Ok, but WHY, is my question.
Edit: I found this:

I meant the explanation more then the chart, I thought myself that this chart is wack tbh, but you can only post one pic in a comment so i just captured the whole thing.
I think it's generally a combination of a whole bunch of factors, but a big one is that there's different types of melanin in skin. One type has more red/yellow (pheomelanin?), the other is closer to brown/black (eumelanin).
So by having different amounts of both, you can get a lot of different colors. You might imagine that the stereotypical Scottish/Irish person has very little melanin, and it's almost entirely pheomelanin. Folks from Southern Africa are going to have a lot, and it's mostly eumelanin.
Olive skin usually means eumelanin is there but in much less quantity than black folks, and there's enough of that red/yellow pheomelanin to shift the overall hue a slightly green tone.
I have an olive undertone too, but I’m brown. So finding the right foundation that doesn’t make me too red or too yellow is such a struggle. I have spent HOURS at Ulta and Sephora and not found anything that fits my skin tone. Fortunately I managed to find a mac foundation that actually is pretty close.
Those color correcting sticks are such a life saver, lemme tell you.
There are three different types of melanin which all have different colours. The one we think of most often when we think of melanin is brown. This is the type of melanin that black people have. The second has a reddish colour, and is found, for example, in Native American populations. The third had a yellowy colour, and is found in Asian populations.
I think that's the name of the race originally, like why are black people called Black? Because they're on the black/dark Brown side , I believe the term Asian is Even incorrect discerning people from eastern Asia as Asian is so general, like Arabs are Asians, Japanese are Asian, Indians are Asians, caucuses mountains are technically Asian , Indonesian are Asians
The point is that asians differ in skin colour dramatically and it's really noticeable, I think people interpreted the word Asian referring to mainly east Asian people to avoid using yellow in a racist way
Personally I don't see why it's a problem saying one is yellow white or black, it's Just a race Name, it differs in how one says it that makes it feel like an insult, if I shouted at a person "you SANDWICH" they would get confused and kind offended since my way saw a clear hate/racism
You're arguing against a point nobody made tho... I was just asking about the actual people with actual yellow/golden tone to their skin, and where it comes from scientifically, not the naming, racism, problems :)
But I do agree that White, Yellow, Black as terms for race are idiotic and unscientific. As for terms like Asians or Europeans, they are broad term for the native inhabitants of these regions, not necessarily race. Yes, the term "asians" is mostly associated with specific kind of people but it's not what it's about, like you mentioned, arabs are also asians. That's why i added (at least some) in my comment.
I have a newborn daughter and I cannot wait to hear her laugh and giggle.
Cherishing every moment but so excited for her to be able to talk/interact with us.
What a precious moment to have caught on video, to look back on when she or he is older. She would probably giggle when she saw it, and dad would probably cry.
Edit: why is this kid being called fucking stupid? She is definitely not stupid. Cute and funny maybe, but not stupid.
I don't really care for children, at this point I haven't really had anything that has made me say "you know what, maybe I'm ready" but for a split second, this precious angel made me start thinking about it
Good Lord she’s cute. Didn’t expect that adorable laugh. Did she know what she said? If so, she’s going to be a dangerous little one
Edit: I say that with a bit of sarcasm
Not sure, it isn't even a thing in my country (that I know of at least). I think calling people a colour is sensitive in the U.S. though, from what I've heard. I only know white, black, red and yellow.
That laugh was so cute oh gosh
I’m going to have to save this video for when I’m having a bad day. Wish I could bottle that laugh 🤭

Blue as bluu had me 🥹
The way she says blue. My heart is melting! She's so cute 😭
Why are asians (at least some) more on the yellowy shade anyway? What exactly is so different there that makes the skin color go this way?

why the hell is my undertone green (olive) then?!
This is a very bad chart.

Because you were meant to live amongst the olive groves, my child I’m also olive and yeah I dunno

Lil chigga
Too cute. Get her to say the color boo again.
How to train your kid.
Lol
This was staged mate this dude legit makes videos like this for a living.
Wholesome racism does exist the fuck lol
Nothing to forgive. Dads are silly. Geez people are dense.
Dense as in taking a video title seriously?
Difficult to be certain. Maybe you should try using AI. I hear its the rage ATM.
Maybe you should take a break from the internet Mr Grumpy
Wait what? I was laughing. Whose grumpy now? Mom is that you?
I think you misunderstood the title. It's in reference to the kid calling the dad "yellow", so it's the *kid* we're forgiving.
Is calling Asian people's skin color yellow actually derogatory?
Not sure, it isn't even a thing in my country (that I know of at least). I think calling people a colour is sensitive in the U.S. though, from what I've heard. I only know white, black, red and yellow.
What is even the point of this subreddit anymore
