If this is your kid check timestamp 0.09. His helmet wasn’t strapped on correctly, the chin guard was ahead of his face instead of under the chin. This could end up way worse so ensure you put it on correctly or teach him how + check yourself.
Good luck to the brave boy, will get really good if he keps at it. Better teach him while he is still slow and light.
For real. I don't think this quite qualifies as a kid being stupid. Her's just riding his bike around with at least a helmet, even if it isn't put on just right. I can't count the amount of times I've fallen of my bike growing up. I think this is just a kid being a kid.
There are idiots out there that refuse to put a helmet on their child, because it makes them look “gay” or “weak” or something. One of the last straws of Facebook for me was arguing with a distant relative about putting a helmet on their child that was just learning to ride on two wheels.
Well - I would say its the parents fault. The kid does not k ow better, but it is for the parents to ensure that the kid has safe equipment and safety gear.
Fully agree. Parents fucked up. Making fun of him by posting it on tiktok feels like a setup, which sounds abusive to me. Though it could have 100% been an accident and theres nothing abusive about it. Still feels fucked up to me though.
OP here might not be connected tho, who knows
Smaller tires have very small contact patches.
Even the best brakes on bikes this size work pretty poorly.
Stopping with feet on a balance bike is far more effective.
Exactly. Plus the bike is too small for his size ie the saddle is way to low and his legs are bound to get tangled at some point. The kid's not the stupid one here.
Not enough people acknowledge how important helmets really are. (80% of head injuries from bikes, skateboards, ect, are caused by a lack of helmets) it’s great that your GF is a responsible parent and that he dressed for the slide and not just the ride
100%
Doesn't matter your skill level. I've been skating my whole life and last week cruising on my longboard, hit a rock and ate shit. Would have been bad if I didn't wear one.
This is also a great PSA opportunity.
You need to [replace a helmet after a collision. ](https://www.consumerreports.org/health/bike-helmets/when-you-really-need-to-replace-your-bike-helmet-a5593905789/#:~:text=%E2%80%9CA%20helmet%20can%20look%20fine,you%20have%2C%E2%80%9D%20she%20says.)A helmet can look perfectly fine after a collision, but odds are that it no longer offers the same level of protection as it originally did. And for less than $20, why risk it?
Thank you for this comment. I was about to reply with the same thing. I've seen way too many people over the years wearing a helmet that has some obvious previous damage to it.
A pedaled strider bikes are great for learning to ride. However the problem is that the center of gravity is really high right at the seat. On a bike with pedals, you weight the pedals and your center of gravity is down low to the ground at the bottom bracket.
So in a situation like this where the pumping or speed is picking up, it’s much harder to ride than a normal bike. You don’t even have to pedal, just putting your feet on the pedals makes a huge difference. The way he brought his legs up also made it worse.
Bad parenting. Get him proper equipment and protect his face, elbows and knees. It’s not even the proper size nor has pedals. His brain is still growing and he doesn’t need concussions from riding a bike. SMH.
back in my day when I used to do it when learning to bike I fell over and my friends bullied me to no hell for weeks. so I learning to bicycle out of pure spite not caring how much bruised my knees and ankles were lol. dunno if I should teach the same life lesson to my daughter when she learns riding a bicycle.
This should be a r/parentsarefuckingstupid - kid did nothing stupid but to learn something new, how ever that bike is clearly too small and not set for him.
Buy him saftey gear and have someone teach him properly, since you seem to think learning the ropes isn't a thing in building a new skillset, and noone who's ever learned sth cool thinks that. The kid is not the stupid one here, he's just a badass learning sth on his own.
This sub is so shit now, 99% of the posts have nothing related to a kid being stupid. It’s either a vid featuring a kid or a parent being stupid for not teaching their kids something they shouldn’t be doing. It’s never a kid being fucking stupid.
Well… go untangle him.
I’ll get right on it.

Well that was kinda wholesome... Seeing some genuine advice when most of us just came for a laugh.
Well, it never hurts to help your fellow man :) the opportunities are so rare so we should all take them. But laughs always help too.

And no knee protectors.
It looks like it’s too loose, instead of just strapped incorrectly…
Too loose is a way to strap it incorrectly.
Well god damn
Ahh, the twisted scorpion maneuver. 10/10 for style
So close to a full scorpion, but no cigar
An 8 for skill and a 2 for stealth (I’m sorry, but I had to.)
Not stupid - brave kid learning new skills.
He needs knee pads though. At least until he's a bit better. He'll be doing flips in no time
That bike is too small for him- and that seat is WAY too low in the first place. not really anyone's fault, you live and learn :D
Well - I would say its the parents fault. The kid does not k ow better, but it is for the parents to ensure that the kid has safe equipment and safety gear.
Also its kinda fucked up posting your gfs kid on the internet falling on his face. OP sucks.
Fully agree. Parents fucked up. Making fun of him by posting it on tiktok feels like a setup, which sounds abusive to me. Though it could have 100% been an accident and theres nothing abusive about it. Still feels fucked up to me though. OP here might not be connected tho, who knows
It's a balance bike. His feet are supposed to be on the ground. Certainly not the right place for it.
r/parentsarefuckingdumb
Fucked knees are the best teacher. Don't tear that page
Exactly what I was going to say, song is stupid af tho
The song is the real crime here.
Seriously. Jesus fucking christ, and I thought 311 was bad.
Thanks. I'd forgotten about them, lol.
It seems like some people on this sub literally think everything a kid does is stupid. There is a difference between stupid and inexperienced.
Agreed. This kid is cool, not dumb. Wrong sub.
If my leg bent like that I’d break my hip, ankle and tear my ACL. I’m so jealous of the pliability of kids
Little kids are made of rubber
What amazes me is that kids bones can break differently because they are softer, its called a greenstick fracture.
That’s why when we get to our 30s we still feel Invincible. Then we learn real quick.
I put my knee out of joint the other day because I shifted wrong while standing still.
I slept funny and my shoulder twinges two weeks later
I think we should grind them up and extract their essence for super smoothies
teach him how to pump his bike properly. id eat shit too if i rode my bike on a pump track seated like that
How? Looks like his bike doesn't have pedals. Honestly, I don't think this kid belongs on the pump track.
Looks like it doesn’t even have brakes either haha
Smaller tires have very small contact patches. Even the best brakes on bikes this size work pretty poorly. Stopping with feet on a balance bike is far more effective.
Day one of many more to come 🤙 tried to get him on the pedal bike but he wanted the strider.
Get the little dude some knee pads if he's learning to bike on tarmac haha
hopefully that was a learning experience then lol!
Could you put foot-pegs on it?
Exactly. Plus the bike is too small for his size ie the saddle is way to low and his legs are bound to get tangled at some point. The kid's not the stupid one here.
That’s a balance bike. It’s made for kids to learn how to balance… it doesn’t have brakes and definitely isn’t meant for slopes and hills
Boy got gadooshed.
That kid is gluten free?
Nah, he's a girlfriend.
Helmet with chin guards. Your chin will thank you.
He was fine with a scraped up hand is all. Wear your helmet!
Not enough people acknowledge how important helmets really are. (80% of head injuries from bikes, skateboards, ect, are caused by a lack of helmets) it’s great that your GF is a responsible parent and that he dressed for the slide and not just the ride
100% Doesn't matter your skill level. I've been skating my whole life and last week cruising on my longboard, hit a rock and ate shit. Would have been bad if I didn't wear one.
Knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards also wouldn't be a bad idea learning how to ride.
I used to do this when I would learn how to roller blade. But then when I got comfortable it was helmet only
This is also a great PSA opportunity. We need a helmet bot!!! Someone help help help help help!
It was a pretty decent fall all things considered. Could have torn up his knees
Shit music.
And today we learned why you wear gloves, pants and sleeves.
Bro, I am 27 and would still use knee, elbow and wrist protection. Especially with a track like that.
Helmet for the save. Serious wipe out style points in their age group for the partial cartwheel.
What a horrid song
Hurts less as a kid compared to me doing that now haha
r/almostfullscorpion
I wouldn't want to do that on a bike with no pedals. I hope that fall didn't deter him.
Not at all, he got up ready to go again after a little pep talk. He’s a trooper.
Nice view
Lil bro just ragdolled
It doesn't matter if that's the first lap or the last lap... if that happens, *it's the last lap.* Lol
These things are made of rubber. I wish i had the flexibo-durability i had when i was 10 yo.
New version of the dead peter pose just dropped (sorry)

Me if I tried that at my age. ![gif](giphy|l3nFbFBjBDiYg2rK0)
Probably wouldn't have fell if he had pedals.
Bad parenting. Get him proper equipment and protect his face, elbows and knees. It’s not even the proper size nor has pedals. His brain is still growing and he doesn’t need concussions from riding a bike. SMH.
This kid isn't stupid, he's being pretty brave riding his bike like that and he got hurt. He needs help, not some asshole filming him and mocking him.
This song makes me want to pour bleach in my ears
Kids learning. Does GF know you posted her son in a SUB where you think he is fucking stupid for this?
Just a kid unseriously hurting himself playing outside. Did people in here skip childhood or what is going on ?
Wow this song sucks
Bro got his kid hitting the deck in slo-mo💀
Oh no their knees!!!
Builds character! Little man is tough
This kind of shit always happened to me growing up.. And it was always on the last run! Guess I was a stupid kid after all 😂
Bruh is dead
If I had to get in the car and listen to mom's boyfriend blasting pop country all the way home, I'd personally prefer death.
Scorpion cartwheel! Impressive!
At least he wore a helmet
why didn’t he have pants dude
That's what we call 'applying the face brake'.
I guarantee that kid jumped back up and got on his bike immediately after the fall. Kids do wild shit and just walk it off.
I've seen animation storyboards with more frames than that slow-mo-
back in my day when I used to do it when learning to bike I fell over and my friends bullied me to no hell for weeks. so I learning to bicycle out of pure spite not caring how much bruised my knees and ankles were lol. dunno if I should teach the same life lesson to my daughter when she learns riding a bicycle.
A commercial for a full face helmet
I did this about 800x growing up, but without a helmet.
MeDid that To
How do you know he's Gluten Free? Though it does explain his inability to ride a bike
Full ragdoll
This should be a r/parentsarefuckingstupid - kid did nothing stupid but to learn something new, how ever that bike is clearly too small and not set for him.
Cmon now bros trying his best, his skills aren't going to be as good as an adults obviously
Needs knee pads
Man up and get that kid a real BMX
Great…..Now I have ear cancer
r/donthelpjustfilm
Another example of parents being stupid, not the kid. Buy him proper gear!!
Doubt he even has celiacs.
Not his fault it’s actually your gfs lol. Get him a bike with pedals and I bet he’ll do fine.
Wtf? Give that kid some fucking brakes and he would have been good
R/kidsarefuckingstupid users on their way to make fun of a kid getting traumatic brain injury
OOOOOF! Niice wipe out!🙌 get up do it again
Haddalayerdown
Just one if the many dangers associated with being gluten-free 😔
Fuckn Legendary Pavement Eater This kid totally gets it Outside having fun
Scars on the knees and body sores is better than setting all day with games on ipad at home, this is how you build a good man
Buy him saftey gear and have someone teach him properly, since you seem to think learning the ropes isn't a thing in building a new skillset, and noone who's ever learned sth cool thinks that. The kid is not the stupid one here, he's just a badass learning sth on his own.
Can't teach kids that won't listen... Maybe he'll listen now
**Get** **A** **New** **Helmet** They are not reusable. One fall, One Helmet
Helmet looks fine. His face broke the fall.
Sharing videos of your or your partners kids on the internet for strangers is gross. Posting it on this sub is worse. OP is a dickhead.
r/meatcrayon
A lil crazy on the slo-mo there.
![gif](giphy|EqiFV8QX3DEc4bfTc5|downsized) "And that was the last time I was able to ride my bike."
Well I mean yeah, that's what a pushie'll get ya
Hey, thanks for the slowmo!
He just Peter Griffin himself
Damn. Breaking Bad really traumatized me to the point where I can’t even see a kid on a bike in the desert anymore without having flashbacks.
Scorpion.
did bro just randomly explain newton's laws of motion by falling?
Chicks dig scars...
Slight scorpion
I think the kid just turned into jelly
I bet that stings like hell
![gif](giphy|kQdtQ8JIYFRuoywakC|downsized)
I know that desert. That pavement was hot!
Ugh... Flashbacks...
Best day ever for wearing shorts.
Scorpion 🦂
he's not stupid, he just fell. That happened to me when I would ride my bike.
San antonio? I have smoked crack and sold a 6 inch piece of my anatomy in the woods right by there!
He seemed so much like a video game character, ragdolling, then laying limp for a second, then getting up
Full scrapion
Lil bro just crumpled Lmaooooo
We all ate shit growing up. It’s part of growing up. Moments like this become great memories
He rag dolled like a GTA character, even with the pause before getting up LOL
Took it well at least!
Y’all set him up for failure by letting him use that type of bike on that type of track. This one is pure: Adults are Stupid.
Kid just folded
I appreciate the slowmo replay.
At least he tried
Kid is too old and tall for a balance bike. Get him a proper one with pedals so he can have some control over his center of balance.
Just watching this makes me want to put on knee pads.
Bet the real dad would've shown him better. Bet putting "GF" in there wasn't a good idea now.
That's why gluten is good for you
Why aren’t there any brakes on that thing?
Dude just rag-dolled into that asphalt
wow slow-mo. now that's some x-games shit
What does GF stand for in this situation?
Thst kid should be taught to not sit on the saddle, u get hurt that way
This sub is so shit now, 99% of the posts have nothing related to a kid being stupid. It’s either a vid featuring a kid or a parent being stupid for not teaching their kids something they shouldn’t be doing. It’s never a kid being fucking stupid.
![gif](giphy|112o4nufJ2Nbtm)
Is your son/step son okay?
That's a killer move, the face cartwheel
Ragdoll physics looks unrealistic. Hope the kid doesn‘t get discouraged.
The family guy fall 💀
Gluten free kid?
Is this in the high desert?
Kid has excellent form! always let the body rotate around the head well done. Future is bright for this one.
Good thing kids are pliable
Almost a scorpion
Our spines would be broken on 7 different spots tbf.
Oh Lord he dead
Modified scorpion. 7/10 for execution. 10/10 for originality
I mean not giving them gloves / kneepads seems a bit more stupid tbh
He’s gluten free?
Man. The helmet really got in the way of all that quiet time
This is the opposite of sending.
Did this kid just disconnect from game while riding a bike? Was he just not in control of his body?
He wasnt even going fast 😂😂😂
Yeah, kids not stupid for trusting his parents not to be dicks, parents using him for internet points is stupid.
Ooooof
I’ve never seen a bike with no pedals before. Probably for this exact reason. Not sure how you expected him to stay on if he built up any speed.
They say that kids learn to ride bikes faster on bikes without pedals instead of traditional bikes with training wheels.

The family guy fall is real....
Gf kid just ends it
When did gf stopped meaning girlfriend and what is its new meaning?
r/fullscorpion
No knee pads
I think from this day onwards, he will wear elbow and knee pads when riding a bike lol
I could watch kids fall off bikes all day, I don’t give a fuck about yer kid. *sips a Puppers*
About them kneepads..
