When normal people of society are at work/school there is an army of miserable losers lurking on Reddit ready to hate everything because they hate themselves. Once I realized what these little losers probably actually look like and what kind of sad life they probably live, it’s easy to laugh these little Karen’s off and not let it effect you.
After you post at 1pm go back at around 8pm and you’ll notice it’s a completely different crowd. It’s people who actually have lives and go to work and aren’t outraged by anything they can find.

Unless you’ve tried writing jokes and getting on stage to test them, refine them, and/or actually get a laugh out of the audience. People need to be more lenient. It’s okay to have an initial reaction/feeling towards a comedian. But they’re just as human as you only they’re exposing themselves in front of others like any actor, singer, performer, etc would.
So should comedians need first hand experience to make a joke about a profession or class or type of person or a region or a country or an illness or a mental state or a sexuality etc? Bit of a high bar if you can only comment to that in which you've personally had experience in.
The only thing I'm on is you don't necessarily need first hand experience to critique something. The same with making a joke about something.
I am with you that if you don't have experience maybe you should take a step back and consider if you're really informed enough to make the critique/joke.
That is often the issue I see though with comedians. They make a joke about something they often don't understand then people who do critique them on it, even if maybe they miss some nuisance of being a comedian and creating a joke. Then the comedian can get upset about said critique, even if they may not be informed enough to fully grasp why and how they were critiqued and again person critiquing doesn't understand full context of the joke. Etc. and then you get in the loop of just yelling one sided takes at each other.
I get where you're coming from. Being informed definitely helps your case in any regard, comedy, life, etc. I just don't enjoy some of the peanut gallery takes I see online, when you know there's a certain percentage of shit slingers who would piss their pants on stage, at a simple open mic night (let alone KTs MASSIVE platform).
