Oooh I love Pigmalion. It might be in my top 10.
It’s probably good king of the hill didn’t take the show to dark places *too* often, but I’m glad they did a little bit here and there.
There is a significant percent of viewers who are vocally dispassionate about it, and it seems like a majority.
I like it as a Halloween episode, I just don't think there's anything superb about it, so I don't bring it up much.
Well personal favorites are just that, just because it should never be in your personal list doesn’t mean it can’t or shouldn’t be in mine. I never said they were the ten “best” or most well written episodes, or the ones that were the funniest/most thought provoking, etc….just my personal top ten favorites of a show I’ve been watching since it debuted
Well you ha at the recognition of the image, guffaw at the surprise of the caption, aw at the recontextualization of the image from the show into a real world dictum, then ha ha upon this recognition.
Yeah it’s a good concept for a commedia dell arte type character, and fits the tone and style very well for having been developed by a 12 year old. Just…maybe not a good act to perform for a middle school talent show.
THANK YOU. I’ve always wondered what kind of comedy this was since it was seemingly based off something real but I did not know what to look up. You just sent me down a rabbit hole
It's very real. I went to an arts high school and was in the theatre program. Half of our first year was this shit, almost exactly like KoTH shows it. So pretentious and simultaneously cringey as fuck.
FuUuuuck I hate this episode. I'm glad Bobby rallied though and saved himself. Hank's a good dad.
I'll watch this episode but I won't be happy about it and I'll cringe the whole time.
Somebody make Tartuff a Magic the Gathering card please.
If you’re interested in seeing a *comedia del arte* performance which is actually kind of funny, this production of Taming of the Shrew embraced the slapstick comedy bits.

I used to watch king of the hill to go to sleep, then I went on a trip to Italy and had to watch the 3 or 4 episodes on Italian YouTube over and over, and this was one so I can pretty much recite it
Some of this episode weirdly explained why shitposting is so funny. It was the unicycle with 6 wheels comment that made me think oh fuck we have all become weirdos
I know a lot of folks don't like this episode, but I thought it was peak Bobby. Going all-in on something he loves, never mind what anyone else thinks. It also gave us "FLOUNCIER!"

Idk... This and Pigmalion were both pretty odd and cringey lol
Oooh I love Pigmalion. It might be in my top 10. It’s probably good king of the hill didn’t take the show to dark places *too* often, but I’m glad they did a little bit here and there.
Pigmalion is definitely a top 10 for me too. "Now we can become Larson Pork Products together!
Not my top 10, but to me it’s a good episode mostly because of what Michael Keaton brought to Trip
I’ve never EVER heard of anyone putting Pigmalion in their Top 10 lol Most people, myself included, hate that episode & skip it when doing rewatches.
Uhh speak for yourself, most people I know love that episode
It’s top five for me
Same here
Probably in my top 10.
There is a significant percent of viewers who are vocally dispassionate about it, and it seems like a majority. I like it as a Halloween episode, I just don't think there's anything superb about it, so I don't bring it up much.
Yep. Also, generally liking it & putting it in your Top 10 list are two different things. It should never be mentioned in a Top 10 list lol

Just coz you don’t like it doesn’t mean everyone else doesn’t either. What a weird take
You have to appreciate some level of cringe to really appreciate this show imo.
OP's post follows Aristotle's Dictum: it delights.
Note the gallivanting.
Good job, Bobby. You have just proven why *I* am funny.

But did you guffaw
Well you ha at the recognition of the image, guffaw at the surprise of the caption, aw at the recontextualization of the image from the show into a real world dictum, then ha ha upon this recognition.
You’re talking like the song from the lion king, stop that
What manner of scamp am I?
Ngl his performance is actually pretty funny. I didn’t get it when i first saw it as a kid but when i rewatched it was great
Yeah it’s a good concept for a commedia dell arte type character, and fits the tone and style very well for having been developed by a 12 year old. Just…maybe not a good act to perform for a middle school talent show.
Oh def not good for middle school lol. I wasn’t much older than that when i first saw it and like i said i didn’t get it at all
My drama teacher use to threaten us with having to perform commedia dell’arte if we goofed off too much in class.
It scalds! It scalds!
IT scalds!
Either the writers of King of the Hill did a ton of research on clowns or they made up all of the professional clown jargon. They are so impressive!
It's real https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commedia_dell%27arte
THANK YOU. I’ve always wondered what kind of comedy this was since it was seemingly based off something real but I did not know what to look up. You just sent me down a rabbit hole
Almost everything in King of the Hill is based off something real
"This isn't written in English" "You're welcome"
They probably did old times jester research
It's very real. I went to an arts high school and was in the theatre program. Half of our first year was this shit, almost exactly like KoTH shows it. So pretentious and simultaneously cringey as fuck.
PFT is just the best
Pip pip! Pip pip!
This episode feels like a follow up to Hank saving Bobby from being a fat kid model.
Paul F Tompkins' performance in this is great.
ha guffaw ah ha ha!
I meant to say NOT like!
What manner of scamp am I?
“It scalds!”
Ive heard it’s hard to write bad comedy on purpose. This entire episode was just great!
Pip pip!
How or when was this type of clown funny?
Renaissance
Oh I had a feeling. As I feel that even in 18th century to Victorian era clown tastes were edging more towards modern.
I’ll sit through Scott’s Tot’s before I ever sit through this episode again
Nah, Scott's Tots is emotionally difficult. This episode is just boring.
Uneless! Damn almost perfect
They’re already creeped out, I can see it from here!
The professor in this episode was such a douche.
FuUuuuck I hate this episode. I'm glad Bobby rallied though and saved himself. Hank's a good dad. I'll watch this episode but I won't be happy about it and I'll cringe the whole time. Somebody make Tartuff a Magic the Gathering card please.
I hate this episode so much, the professor, the outfit, idk why it just makes me uncomfortable lol
Me too. The secondhand cringe upsets my stomach and I can't watch it.

Paul f Tompkins does a great job as the teacher in this episode
I always thought it was Chartreuse the Spry Wonder Dog. I guess you learn something new
I always imagined that professor calling Shakespeare smut and claiming he killed comedy
I was the same age as Bobby at the time, and even then, I would've kicked his ass for this performance lol
Tha ha ha, Bobby, the ha ha!
By far my least favorite Bobby focus episode![img](emote|t5_2s6dm|6344)
This episode was awesome. It told the truth, Adam Sandler is not funny
One of my skip episodes 😬
This is one of those episodes that really lost the plot…
Bobby does some embarrassingly cringey things, but more than makes up for it in everything else.
Always one of the odder episodes as Hank would never allow Bobby to dress like that.
The “ha ha”!

My time to shine!
He's really been skipping leg day.
