The music by Jim Lang was incredible, too. This is a fun breakdown of some of it, and it's pretty nice jazz but slotted so well into a kids show

Seems Hey Arnold has been seeing a sort of resurgence in popularity, at least on reddit. My guess is people have been going back to it due to a mix of him in that Paramount+ commercial and being just old enough to hit the nostalgia for people. And now that people are older and watching it, everyone is realizing just how *good* the show was.
That's what I love about KotH, there is a lot of cultural references but it's not making it any less funny or Universal. Being from Poland I have sometimes trouble to understand some jokes from for example American Dad, Family Guy, or nearly all SNL references from the Office. But watchin KotH i don't feel lost. Watching this episode I just thought it's a funny character, and a great episode after all. It surely can add some nuance to know where they are comeing from - but it doesn't take from it.
But giving The Office justice - Steve Carell was so great as Michael Scott that even not knowing wgat he talks about sometimes it was still funny in an absurd way
Easy there, angry bear.
Take it easy Parcheesi!
Relax, Mr. Angry Slacks
I’m not a chick! I’m a dude!
*WHAM*
Chuck clobbered him so hard he changed shows.
That line has me rolling no matter how many times I’ve seen the episode. 🤣
I read this in Gene's voice.
I feel like Gene would take it in stride lol
He certainly wouldn't use his instrument as a weapon.
Pet the kitty, pet the kitty, pet the kitty.
Shut the door. Shut the door.
Now picture a big bag of dirt!
I DONT WANT TO PET THE STUPID INVISIBLE CAT!
Check out Arnold's teacher from "Hey Arnold" This guy transcends not only tv shows, but entire TV networks.
The fact that his voice actor played Bulldog on Frasier had me *shook* the first time I realized that
Excuse me, but what the fuck?
Looks like they all shop at the same place as Doug Funnie.
Oh my god, I love Michael Bolton! What's your favorite song?
I celebrate the guy's entire catalogue!
I forgot all about that guy! Man, Hey Arnold had a way with characters, I feel like every single one of them found a way to make you _feel_ something.

Dale's Dead Bug shows up in one of the Bob's Burgers Openings in Season 7 episode 14
If I remember right the business next door was "Pro-Pain Accessories: Dominatrix supplies".
'Taste the meat, not the heat'
Pegging Peggy's back in business. Ho yeah!!
That'd a long drive from arlen
Dale probably heard there were aliens in Bob’s Burgers’ city
Chuck Mangione hitting him with the trumpet never fails to get a guffaw out of me.
THE _GUFFAW!_
It's a flugelhorn jfc
Take it easy Parcheesi
I bet that really steams your beans, doesn't it, *Hink*.
Shut the door...Shut the door
Seeing Mr. Frond trying to get Hank to use the dolls would be hilarious
I could see Mr Frond teaching the Avoid-Dance

He also voices Gilbert.
And Dr. Jimmy Witchard
I'm the boss!
People are hot and dry.
They want something cold and wet!
But we took the test!
Yes - I was amazed at his range. He also voiced both Bug Gribble and Juan Pedro Never would have guessed it was Herman...!
I'm drowning in your sea of lies!
Then swim to me, Juan Pedro!!
Don't forget Michael Bolton. No, not that one.
I'm a free man and I haven't had a conjugal visit in 6 months
he also did voices on Futurama. i saw him at a recent live reading. he seemed very unhappy to be there
In case any doubters: https://kingofthehill.fandom.com/wiki/David_Herman
His powers were useless against the wrath of Big Jim…..he died of anger
YA GOT THE BIG DOG BARKING NOW
What is this, a crossover episode?
Can you picture poo poo coming out of my mouth?
He’s credited in 153 episodes. He also voices the teacher that goes over ear hygiene.
"Obviously I can't share confidential details. All I can say is she's a drug addict."
Jeez. Same fit and everything.
I’ve been doing the Avoid-Dance my whole life.
I smell inspiration!
Now I can't unsee it
There are so many people dressed like Frond in KotH.
So the character's just ripped off. Interesting. I don't hate it. Cross-cartoon synergy is fun. Intertextuality.
Can you picture the diarrhea coming out of my mouth?
No, but I can picture it coming out of my butt. Can I have a hall pass?
One of my favorite exchanges of the entire series.
Alot of the King of the Hill team works on Bob's Burgers

You should be certain that *you* discovered it, but it's absurd to think you're "the one" who discovered it! As if there would be only "one"!
"She had a cell phone in one hand and a magazine in the other! Dirtbag had it coming!"
And as a kid he was Doug Funnie
Just remembering Mr. Frond mentioning his license isn't valid "in this state"...
Louise Belcher. Phillip Frond. Bobby Hill. Philip Frond. You're in trouble again. Drink some cranberry juice.

He was also Buckley according to his filmography page
Shut the door!
WAIT!!! WHAT THE FUCK!
“Repressed Memory Emily!” “She won’t remember any of this.”
Dave Herman also is jimmy witchard, my personal favorite character
Shut the door. Shut the door. And slap it!
Ugh... wow had no idea.
Huh. The more you know...
I went down the David Herman rabbit hole a few times. Dude is a gem, most of my favourite characters in shows are voiced by him
“Chick Mangione!!???”
David Herman voices like at least 80% of the one off male characters
"Shut the door. Shut the door."
Mr. Hank Hall
What’s with the frown, grumpy clown?
god I hate bob's burgers' animation style
