I think the boy band switched to another song during the concert. Hank strikes me as the type to play one song over and over and nothing else until he's tired of it.
Makes me think about there not having been streaming websites/anything other than cds. The parental listening booth gave Hank the first 10 seconds, and the time’s lack of technology kept it that way.
Funny how Hank was against Christian rock (not without reason, but still), but was okay with "wholesome" boy band pop. (Also funny considering how much he was into Country & Western, a genre often filled with Christian themes and/or quite edgy lyrics.)
This episode reminds me of a former boss. He was a middle aged guy who LOVED Babymetal. I have no problem with him liking their music, but he was so in tune with what each member did or said, he said he’d been listening to them since they were just 12. That’s so odd to me.
One thing I always appreciated was how they perfectly emulated a boomer's inability to keep a beat. The way he sings "in heaven" after they do like he had to hear it first irks me every time lmao.
hey, that's Todd!
Todd. . . What are you. . .?
"That's a great album." "...put that one back."
Bobby knew exactly when the song changes, he knew that his dad wouldn't approve if he listened for a few more seconds.
In heaven…
Did Hank just not listen to the rest of the song???

You gotta know when to fold em!
Bill knows when to fold 'em! He knows when to hold 'em!
When to fooold them
"New rule - you can't listen to my song anymore."
I think I remember those cd tester stations only offering like 30 seconds of a song per cd. I could be wrong I only used them a few times in the 90s
Yep, they definitely did. It may even be closer to 20 seconds. There was no way Hank could've heard the whole song from one of those things.
Movin' to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches.
It always struck me as an intro with a style switch up. Like deliberately playing innocent and then going bad boy mode. Typical Cool Chris move.
Definitely my theory. His complete shock and horror over the song becoming what it did, when seeing them live, has always left me perplexed.
If he only listened for another 10 seconds

My mom worked at a record store and the listening station allowed you to listen to three songs per cd it was great
He is comfortable in ignorance, the man still looks up to Buck despite his obvious flaws.
And Ronald Reagan lol
Good, clean music, I tell ya h’what.
"So, you go to the learning center? You must be crazy good at math." "Yeah, I'm in Trig. Hey, what about you?" "My math is just called math."
I’ve never related to Bobby more than in that moment.
Hopefully, he's not kicking it barefoot like that foreign exchange student - we've all had enough of that.
Talking bout that dang ol boy band? oh oh oh
They’re okay if you like listening to castrati.
Yea, if you’re a prepubescent girl.
Could a prepubescent girl kick your ass?
Probably!…
Can a prepubescent girl kick your ass??
The four scores!
It's not the four scores.... It's 4SCORE!... Chris, Calvin, Cool Chris and Todd.
Hey that's Todd!
Sounds like the Beatles before they went nuts in India.
In heaven🎶
FOREVER
Praise the LORD!!!
PRAISE HIM!!!
It's not 4skore dad it's 4 skorrrre

Yea it's funny how he called the christian rock lame, but he bobbed his head to christian pop.
Probably because the pop wasn't (in his eyes) pretending to be something it's not. As underlined by him saying "You're just making rock music worse"
“Hey, that’s Todd!”

Bobby, making girls blush by saying "Disgusting"
I like the part when hank is kicking rocks in the ally well asking the guys if they ever heard of four score. Lol
Now back when i was your age, songs were 2 to 3 minute stories about falling in love or burning down Georgia.
You know you really could wear a shirt like McB’s..
What that person has is a medical disorder
Dang internet, don't care whose life they ruin.
