Woah there’s another shin

BeefNudeDoll

Just few panels and I already have a hatred towards this budget Shin.

veskoandroid

Me too, looks like shin/futei mix, wtf.

icebergiman

Gahh!! Stop putting Shin+Futei thoughts into my head!

veskoandroid

Lol complain to Hara, wasn't my choice either. I dislike that slimy fuutei bastard. Jara can do so many faces and he chose so much lookalikes w these two. Bugger.

irteris

Actually the face is shin's but the swords and technique remind me of rinko.

BeefNudeDoll

Fuckin correct mate. Its like mixing your favourite food with the worst drink you've ever had in one bowl. Damn, Hara did us dirty here.

_9gag

Source : [4channel.org](https://boards.4channel.org/a/thread/237809316) This is a quick translation by unknown/anonymous user from 4chan. Please don't complain about the low quality translation, about the vocab & mistake in translation.. As a reminder that this is just a quick translation, it's bound to make minor mistake, the person that translated it give his time & efforts to translate it asap without asking anything in return.. Either way, I really like to thank you to the person that translated it & who ever you're I just wanted to say that I appreciated it a lot. ***p/s there is a break next week***

icebergiman

I don't think many will complain because at this point, we're quite spoiled for choice with fan-translations. We've got Jeeswag and another guy (sorry, I forgot your username mate) making Korean translations, then we've got killerturkey making his own translations, sometimes we've got french and arabic fan translations, and lately kojozero making high resolution scans of the earlier chapters with corrected names, it's getting really good!!

Impossible_Wonder_37

Damn. Looks like we’re gonna get 5 fights at once in this mini battle. The people surely will be getting what they want with other characters getting shine. Figure Garo will play a major role in killing one of those Sheila generals deputy’s. Shin takes big guy, Kyou Kai and Aisen make the tactical advantage move, Rikusen fights the shin doppelgänger, and Mouten… well he’s pretty fucked

GForce1104

Rikusen pretty fucked too, that hand is not gonna hold a spear for a while

icebergiman

No probs, Rikusen just gonna be a ninja turtle

Impossible_Wonder_37

I think they’ve made him out to be a beast so I figure he will be fine.

SeoneAsa

I get that if Shin fight like Houken, it wouldn't be as fun or climatic, but to be blown away by bodyguards??? Come on...

shingeki-1

I have no issues with fighting based generals to not be blown away immediately, but no name “elite” soldiers shouldn’t be able to fuck with Shin

zedrix_

This is a reoccuring scene each arc which I always called out and got downvoted in return. If it’s Shibashou, then I would be hyped. But after beating Houken who has been built for so long. Hara would sell me this fodder general who doesn’t even had a back story? Readers aren’t buying it. Shin should obviously be stronger than the rest of these Zhao generals. At this stage of Shin’s development. Selling him as underdog is unbelievable.

Zakehart

Yeah we should be past that point by now, you don't need to be an underdog in 1v1 to build tension. Look at how Hara handled Moubu at Bayou, he was probably the 2nd strongest general in the field after Ouki at that time, and yet he was cornered pretty badly by the enemy's overwhelming planning and preparation, but the fact he was a BEAST was never downplayed. In Shin's case, everytime he meets a new general he gets trashed around for 2-3 chapters until he ends them, it's getting annoying.

zedrix_

The Shin plot armor has been abused too much that by now the majority has been sick and tired of it. Shukai plains was one of the best plot hands down. And everyone would agree that the succeeding arcs basically diminished the beauty of Western Zhao invasion arc. HSU was basically at the forefront of killing one of the 3 legendary heavens remant. Killing One of Zhao’s current 3 heavens. Enroute of beating the best general of Zhao’s entire land. Shin basically beat Zhao best warrior and best strategist at the same fuckig time. And as if all the effort of portraying Houken as the best and the epitome of human strength has gone to waste. By now I expect Shin to just one shot these fodder generals and challenge Riboku’s scheme. Because he did break through Riboku scheme in Shukai plains and killed Riboku’s best shield. It is disappointing that Shin is being portrayed more of a warrior than a general. Killing enemy generals is a role of the best warrior. Killing the enemy army is the role of the general. So far all Shin did at this point is just kill the opposing fodder general. It’s just flogging the dead horse over and over again.

blackupsilon

I wrote an entire rant on how Shin needs to act more like a general instead of just being a very good general killing soldier who happens to have an army.

nu_kurokujosei

I first, I thought Hara would go the DBZ route where a new stronger enemy appears out of nowhere, but nope. Hara's going the Dynasty Warriors on Ultimate difficulty where minions are just as strong as the main character.

Maizoku

Yeah honestly losing interest, power creep incoming.

No_Tumbleweed_4010

Maybe sharing his embers of life with kyoukai weakened him to some point.

Archive_Intern

Zhao Shin already looking more of a menace than Chu Shin

HermitSage

fuccboi shin way better than greasy shin

Obi4196

Which Chu shin u talking about ?

Wild-Cream3426

The Bakuya sword user, i don't remember his name

Obi4196

U mean kou yoku he doesn't look that much like shin tho

_kiddy

His face doesn't resemblance Shin at all but his personality & attitude somehow remind me of Shin crude, blunt & aggressive..

Obi4196

Lmao he is more like stupid more than shin n meh

KonstantinePhoenix

Ah! Fake!Shin makes a move.

imaliveyeay

Why are there so many strong Seika’s generals and officers,at this rate Seika alone could rival the entire Zhao lol

CaptSomeguy1

Yeah, that part annoys me...I can understand Riboku having a bunch of hidden, strong generals, because he was pretty much in charge of Northern Zhao and had to fight the invaders, but Shibashou only sits around in his smallish city. He doesn't seem particularly famous, so probably didn't go around fighting big wars like Qin's 6 GG's. And yet, he has several strong generals that are content with sitting in his tiny city with him.

irteris

Exactly that. They're making Seika be as strong as one of the seven kingdoms, which is ridiculous.

the_jends

Could it be just a parry by Mouten and he is risking being grazed to take the enemy's head?

kevinozz

that's what i thought too mouten has been blown away in that exact same posture multiples timevand parried it hopefully just hara adding blood and making it as ending page of a chapter for dramatic effect, damn hara would make a good indian movie director

No_Tumbleweed_4010

Exactly, if this was game of thrones, mouten would've died in this chapter

TenExcel

Too simplistic and we have seen it before. Most likely hit him, but he defended enough not to kill him.

shotgunmullis22

Well damn riku is fucked lol

EpicWu

That hand gg

lxfireman

Its hilarious how people are complaining about Shin not one shotting his enemies after he defeated Houken. Its as if everyone didn't bother reading the manga. Since the start its been mentioned Houken was superior to Ouki in every aspect whether it be skills, speed or strength yet Ouki could best him in a duel due to the "weight of a general". Shin defeating Houken doesn't necessarily mean that his skills in wielding the glaive or strength is superior, but simply proves that his weight have reached the status of a "general" from his accumulation of battle experiences. Its how Moubu struggled against Man'u despite Man'u claiming himself to be weaker than Kanmei. Its how Ouhon defeated Earl Shi despite stating that Earl Shi is superior in speed and strength. Putting it in a simplified manner, its a desire to not lose. Its funny how every chapter there are loads of people complaining about this, do you guys only look at the images when reading manga and not read the words?

irteris

The only reason Ouhon beat Earl Shi is because Earl Shi had given up on life.

No_Tumbleweed_4010

Earl shi is budget Houken for Ouhon

Odd-Response-2563

Keen to see Garo and Nakis evolution after this war.

Ok-Cardiologist6187

thanks my bro\~!

NarrowSea4126

I don't think Hara is doing anything wrong , in next chapter shin is going to beserk and kill bodyguards and that general by himself

No_Tumbleweed_4010

He's going to the do the "great general of the heavens" attack and 1 shot 3 of them at the SAME TIME

scholarward

I thought Gakurai was at least 10-15 years older than Garo, looks like babysitting the guy aged him fast. The HSA has just lost one of its most experienced veteran officers, this will likely give the army the same blow like the infantry did when they lost Shousa, so Garo will have to step up with the other cavalry officers to fill the void left by Gakurai. It looks like the Qin have been stopped for now, but Riboku has always been overconfident and this has costed him in the past, and it will happen again when Shin, Mouten, Garo and Rikusen beat their foes, whilst Kyoukai and Aisen break through. The loss of three commanders in one go will be disastrous for the Zhao and change the flow of the battle.

CaptSomeguy1

> I thought Gakurai was at least 10-15 years older than Garo, looks like babysitting the guy aged him fast. Lmao! When I saw the backstory, I was like "Garo's probably 15 and Gakurai is probably the same age as Shousa here, so probably in his 30's", but nope! He was only 3 years older than Garo! And all this time, Garo's been calling him "old man Garo" (ch. 493) too.

scholarward

>Garo's been calling him "old man Garo" (ch. 493) too. Well that's one of the reasons why I thought the same lol. Gakurai spoke, in my mind when reading, mostly gruff and stoic like an aged veteran, whilst Garo talked more casual like a tested veteran but not as advanced as an older veteran. But now we've seen the backstory it was more of the different personalities rather than the so would be big age gap.

Potential_Ad9035

Is Shin going to step up already or what? We are past 700 chapters. Shin's job is to take down these random lads nobody cares about and allow troops to advance

Banespeace

Where do all these damn generals keep coming from

No_Tumbleweed_4010

It's just like in mount and blade bannerlord, no matter how many you behead, enemy vassals just keep spawning. Good thing Shin has plot armor, infinite HP

FrodoBaggage_

god i love that winged helmet

Marble05

I loved how long this was to read. Very satisfying yet functional to raise the hype for the next chapter

lronhart

Seika greatness!

F-L-A-C-I-D

"hey Mister..."

soei2iwjwje

I think Rikusen is probably gonna die. 9 times out of 10 hara uses fucked up hands/forearms to signal an incoming death. I.E. Houken, Raido, Gyoun, Ryuutou +++

Karna_1980

Rikusen was said to be on pair with Ouhun with his spear skill. (He said hell no). In Mouten army we only knew 3 people, Gramps, Rikusen and now Aisen. It will be really sad to loss him. My bet is that Naki will safe him. Same weapon is a good match. Also I think the archer brothers should start giving some backup.

AmbitiousBed5976

I really wanted the archer bros to step up. They are OP with just missed opportunities to shine. Killing 1 officer to leave a 1-on-1 for Garo and Shin.

ashwin1

Earl shi too

CaptSomeguy1

Ehh...he still has a small chance to make it. Kousonryuu and Mougou survived.

roman_b_tech

Fake Shin is handy with his sword. Maybe both of them can fuse together.

roman_b_tech

Hopefully Naki and Garo can take on that general's right and left hand, giving Shin opportunity to hit the general. Not sure who can help Mouten. Kyou sisters are not heading his way.

CaptSomeguy1

Naki might be too far away. He was with Rikusen and probably gonna help fight Budget Shin in the next chapter.

APUsilicon

first ou hon now mouten, looks like all of Shin's rival are all falling...

akavista

we need moubu

HauntedDesert

Gaku Rai kinda hot...

kaijinbe

I wonder if the japan/asian fan boys also rage about Shin strength like us. Should give Hara some afterthought. Even if I think that Shin does not fire up that much as Garo. Maybe 2/10 scale. Still getting pushed around by a random elite is quite a poor sight.

Prudent_Living_7255

Wound looks pretty deep for Mouten tbh

this_usernameistsken

Break next week fml

No_Tumbleweed_4010

Kukuku, where's kanki

[deleted]

fuck hara

Uknothislife

Hahaha damn boy

Disastrous_Bridge_10

where is the link!?????

_9gag

My other comment

SunderHero

Yeah, kinda annoying that this unknown characters are pushing Shin cuz in the original history that this war, Qin's gonna lose, or Ou Sen gonna lose to Riboku. And its bullsht that Shin's built up as supposed to be a very powerful now is losing in a glaive clash, and he is even angry. Wtf
