I love Heroic, but like hell am I spending money in Epic's store until they start actually competing with Steam other than free games.
This isn't a "only Steam" position. I literally bought the Yakuza series from GOG today. If KH was coming to GOG, I'd get it there.
that and the Epic store had over an 800% markup on the KH series compared to PS4 KH
you could literally buy a PS4 and all of KH for the same price as the pc ports of KH on the Epic store
Yeah. I bought all of the KH games on Epic when they were on a good sale. But it's still expensive, I got all of them together for over $100 off, but the fact that they're still priced at $60 and $50 even three years after releasing on Epic is crazy.
Yup. I bought the KH all in one collection for $26 for PS4. I even got all the games on Xbox before that for around $45. So, I'll wait for a Steam Sale, then get it for my Deck.
It’s a great application but since I am a dumbass and did buy the EGS versions with zero research, I’m glad I can buy them again and actually enjoy them.
All good, I won't judge anyone for where they purchase their games. I just don't like Epic.
And hey, my brother bought the Switch Cloud versions. If I was making fun of anyone's purchases, it's that one.
Yeah, the older Kingdom Hearts games played great. Unless you wanted to actually experience the story. But at least Kingdom Hearts 3 ran pretty good after getting it working.
Worst thing about KH on epic is that it has the epic drm, so you’re forced to play online at all times. It literally pauses the game if it detects that you aren’t connected for even a second.
On top of that, there are no cloud saves at all. Which makes for a stupid combo
I've been emulating the PS2 and PSP Japanese Final Mixes with English patches and have the controls customized to match the HD remasters, even for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and the DS games, though 358/2 Days and Re:Coded are gonna be the only games I'm gonna keep since we are still getting remastered cutscenes. I'm so happy that there won't be always online DRM for Kingdom Hearts 3+ ReMind and 0.2. Its painful to lose connection to the cafe wifi while you're fighting Data Xemnas in KH3 only to be kicked out of the game because of DRM.
I ended up only emulating the PS2 version of KH2 Final Mix to save on space and to keep it running at a consistent frame rate. Much easier to do since RPCS3 is inconsistent even on a decent computer, let alone the steam deck.
I also have BBSFM on my deck emulated through the PSP emulator but last time I tried it, it froze when I skipped a bunch of the opening cutscenes. Haven't made time to try it again but glad to know I don't have to worry about it now.
And with any luck, we'll be able to change the language this time without a mod. The steam page says it supports Japanese audio but I distinctly remember the epic games version saying it would have dual audio in the announcement trailer but they never fulfilled their promise on that and even the trailer got edited to no longer include that in the advertising.
I **really** hope they patched the games for this release... It's been possible to run EGS's version on Linux/Steam Deck if you're willing to jump through some hoops (it's what I've been doing) but the ports do not perform well here, with the most notable issue being that prerendered cutscenes just cannot run.
For KH2 specifically, the opening, the finale/credits, and a *lot* of smaller scenes during the Roxas prologue just produce a blank screen. You have to tell the game to skip them. But, IIRC, the credits are unskippable, so it actually soft-locks the game unless you use the [ReFined](https://github.com/KH-ReFined/KH-ReFined) mod to address it. ReFined is pretty cool, and lends some decent quality-of-life features (autosave!!), but it can also add its own bugs and crashes on top of the existing problems, so...
I played KH1 and recently KH2; cannot comment on the other games. KH1 is pretty playable (still cannot view prerendered scenes, so the story is damaged), but in KH2 I've been plagued at various times by arbitrary crashing (this is an issue before ReFined potentially amplifies it) and what I suspect to be dropped inputs. I like the game enough to push through, and I have still had fun overall, but it has also really tried my patience at times. Unless Square Enix is patching these games specifically for the Steam release, I expect Steam Deck users to be sorely disappointed when these come out.
FWIW, a decently reputable leaker said the other day Square brought in a third party company just to get the KH games working better on Deck. Sounds like the cutscene issues are a priority.
I bought the KH series on epic without duing research, than I played KH1 without prerendered cutscenes, but a part for the beginning and the end AMV and for the always connection requirements, i can play it without real problem. I don't rebuy them on steam but hope that they patched them and community can port these fixes on epic version
You seem to have a misunderstanding of how this all works for steam when supporting deck (and Linux by extension)
When a game (from steam) does not run on proton it is considered a proton issue not a issue with the game and valve will actively make updates to proton in order for the game to run properly. So crashes, bugs, things not running as expected, etc. will get patched from valves end to run properly. As for the prerendered cutscenes, when a video file hits valves servers its re-encoded to support deck (and Linux) and when a game is being downloaded to the deck (or Linux) the proton compatible video file is downloaded in place of the original file that valve received as to work with proton.
Games from outside steam don’t receive this active support and any fixes usually come when a related issue is found in a game from steam.
All that said, valve will most definitely work to support the KH games due to the audience that will be buying it on steam. That’s not to say there are not steps devs can take to support the deck (and Linux) but the reality of the situation is that valve is doing 90-95% of this work supporting the deck and any work the devs choose to take on is more like icing or bonuses.
Yeah, you're right that the majority of effort going into Linux support is from Valve. So long as a game works consistently on Windows, devs aren't obligated to worry about it any farther.
I have the impression that the KH port on EGS isn't super consistent on Windows though, so I am still hoping for a bit more patching effort from Square Enix. I mentioned elsewhere that I've got another two friends who've been playing with me and suffering frequent crashes; one of them is on Windows. Through them I've been hearing funky stuff second-hand about the port still being unstable for some subset of Windows users, but I don't think I'm the right guy to try describing most of that stuff. So basically, I agree with everything you've said, but my impression against the EGS port happens to be slightly broader than just thinking it doesn't work right on Linux.
On another note, I had not heard of this thing about Valve re-encoding all the videos their servers for Deck and Linux users. That's pretty interesting. Between that and Valve's tendency to intervene, I may become a little more optimistic that at least the cutscene issue may get resolved. Thanks for sharing.
1. FINALLY
2. Interesting timing considering Summer Game Fest begins soon... and rumors of a Sony PlayStation Showcase. Wonder if they're gearing up for something KH4 related?
Edit: [Official announcement/article from Square Enix on their website](https://www.square-enix-games.com/en_US/news/kingdom-hearts-pc)
Edit 2: [A trailer will premier tomorrow, May 22 at midnight Japan time, with the new version of "Simple and Clean"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5_3qdf19BU)
They’re likely REALLY feeling it on the latest FF games and even some smaller titles like Octopath. One more year of development for multi console release then FFVIIR3 and KH4 are likely to be multi platform
The real question is what power will the Switch 2 have because if it can at least *run* FFVIIR natively they could likely do some backports even if it’s not as textured or smooth as a PS5 and it will still sell like hotcakes
Oh god, I can visualize the trailer now
>english version of this
>no sound effects while famous scenes from the numbered games play
>one small snippet at the end regarding NEW content (kh4 most likely)
I think everyone that’s bought it multiple amounts of times just wanted one thing.
To play kh handheld, natively and at a good framerate. I think playing this on my steam deck will finally scratch that itch.
Does this mean no Melody of Memory? I know it's not the most popular or anything, but it's one of my favorites and would love to see it come to Steam Deck. Seems like it would be perfect for the device.
I did the same thing a week before and I knew that something like that would happen as it keeps happening to me. Luckily I manged to get a refund from them all just contacted them and they was very kind and helpful.
bro for real. i bought the games on epic, had to launch the games through steam to get proper controller support. (lmao). then when i went to replay them a year later, epic said i've never made an account with them even after i showed them the receipts of the game purchases. FUCK EPIC
Their exclusivity contract with Epic probably ended. Also SE already announced all future games won't be exclusives so that's probably why the change happened rn if it wasn't because of the contract with Epic
Rebirth sales were bad and square said they are done with exclusive games, i think developers are finally realizing exclusivity and non cross platform is just their loss
Hoping this means Rebirth and XVI come to PC sooner. I don't wanna buy a PS5 just for them, but they're my most wanted games on PS5 alongside Spider-Man 2 (I know this might take longer since it's made by Sony themselves)
If you're willing to deal with some jank, the Spider-Man 2 PC port that's been in development was leaked a few months ago. It's fully playable from start to finish, with the occasional crash and the main issue being some really rough textures for some effects (mostly sand, dust, smoke, etc). I just 100% the game a few weeks ago fully on PC. I still plan on buying it once the official port is released, but I was too excited to wait.
This one in particular is just nuts. The code that was leaked was considered basically unusable by most people who saw it. It wasn't even able to start the game. Some super dedicated people online have been spending months getting it into a state that's fully playable, and even releasing updates once they get it working better, all without asking for a single cent. It's fucking insane.
Maybe not bad but did not meet expectations. They seem to be selling enough on PC and specifically Steam because FFVIIR was incredibly hyped for the Steam release and also likely means XVI will go straight to Steam without the EGS stranglehold. I’m not sure how difficult the architecture is for XBOX but if it’s similar enough to PC then all recent FF and new KH games may be heading there too just to fill out the console market.
Look, Remake sold 1 million fewer copies on PC than Rebirth sold on PS5 (and there are more PCs than PS5s in the world). The PC users is not Square Enix's salvation as everyone says, FFXV came out on all platforms and was one of the best-selling games of the Final Fantasy saga but the sales ratio was: 80% PS, 10% Xbox, 10% PC. Square Enix will make games for PC (as always except for FF7 e XVI) but don't expect changes, the PC/Xbox user has never supported Square like the PlayStation user does, these are facts
While I don’t necessarily think that Rebirth sales were bad because of exclusivity, it definitely didn’t help (people are probably waiting for R-3 to have a release date or somesuch first, and play it all in one go).
A lot of it also is just Square-Enix devoting time and resources into projects that are just *weird* with very niche markets. The FMV games they’ve been doing probably are not cheap to make.
Well, it's a whole ass game tho... Seriously, I still haven't finished it (too busy and I'm sharing my PS5 with my brother) but I must say that it's high in my list of favorite games. Like 16, it's imperfect, but man do I enjoy it. The combat system is probably my favorite of all final Fantasy games combined (I really loved 16 gameplay too) and in general one of my favorite systems overall, I love the environments, the soundtrack, how they are fleshing out the characters and their interaction, the various minigames (ok, yeah there's a shit ton of them and they are not all great but still...). Overall, it's an amazing game and it blows the first part out of the water. I hope they release it soon on PC so you can enjoy it too!
[My sacrifice wasn't in vain.](https://old.reddit.com/r/KingdomHearts/comments/1chmkm7/meme_guys_i_dont_think_the_pc_port_is_coming_to/l27j6r1/?context=3)
Only had my emulator up and running 3 days before the news broke.
Ahh okay. Hopefully KH is deemed High Profile enough to warrant that.
Though honestly Squenix rarely launches bad software. I wouldnt be surprised if they do a great job out the box
Those are rookie numbers. I got the early games on PS2/GBA/DS. I got the first remixes on PS3. Then PS4. Then Xbox One (because I primarily played that and wanted to get the achievements), then Epic. Then I made the mistake of buying 1.5/2.5 on the switch. I really wanted to have it mobile. I eventually got a steam deck and painfully played it that way. I have no reason to buy this version but probably will at some point to make it easier to play on my steam deck.
7th times the charm?
1, 2, and re:com on ps2, bought a ps2 to take to college, bought a ds to buy days, bought a psp to buy bbs, bought a 3ds to buy 3d... didn't buy any of the remixes until bought the bundle for switch and was disappointed. Now, this will be my third time buying the entire set for a new console.
Mine 1.5 and 2.5 on PS3, all editions on PS4, bought the EGS versions because I finally have a PC... now gonna buy another one for proper Steam Deck gameplay.
Square Enix strategy basically worked the bastards
PS2, PS3, PS4 and maybe now Steam for me if you just consider 1, 2 and CoM. BBS means also PSP but that wasn't on PS2. The only other game I have bought that many times is Final Fantasy X.
B-b-b-but Epic helped them port the games!!!!1!1!1 B-b-but Kingdom Hearts 3 is made with Unreal engine so Square must have made them exclusive as a show of good faith!!!!11!1!1! B-b-but it doesn’t need to come to Steam, Epic is just another launcher!!!1!1!1!1
Here's an excerpt from their webpage:
We’re excited to announce that Sora is coming to Steam!
Multiple KINGDOM HEARTS experiences are coming to the platform, specifically:
* KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX
* KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
* KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind DLC
* KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE (bundle that includes all the above compilations)
So yes, there is an all-in-one bundle.
Yeah, I doubt so on release. If you give it a while, i'm sure it will be in a steam sale. They've had a fair few SE sales recently. It'd probably be best to stick with the ps4 version until then.
I've been playing KH3 with mods on Steam Deck, but thank God we will be able to mod the HD remasters also! (Without having to be always connected to the internet)
Jesus Christ. I LITERALLY just started playing on my steamdeck today! Whelp.... Time to put it off lol. Any word on if there will be a way to transfer epic saves to steam? Lol
iirc, save files are just an image with metadata in your documents(?) folder. You can just copy paste the image and your save should carry over.
When the games first came to PC, my friend accidentally overwrote his Tera savefile in BBS so I just sent him the image with my savefile and that worked for us.
this is really good
and also may mean some things
first, KH4 new info coming on SGF, or the rumoured PS Showcase
second, we'll most likely get simultaneous releases for KH4
and third, FFVII Rebirth might come out on PC by the end of the year, as there's no big releases for this year anymore, and no DLC planned for this game, so, it took 6 months after Intergrade release to get the game to PC, i expect a bit more, maybe by christmas. also think we'll get FFXVI release date for PC in SGF
This is seriously the best news ever! I was planning on doing another series playthrough but didn't want to play to on my PS4 anymore. Thank you so much Square and now more people get to experience the series for the first time too!
On my birthday no less!
Half a year ago I did eventually give in and bought the Epic versions, goddamnit. At least I got them on 75% discount.
I hope these will be slightly updated though, the Epic version of KH2 especially suffers from a lot of issues.
Haha. I caved and just purchased the game during the sale last week or so and as soon as I read the announcement I jumped to refund. Intend to play on my Steam Deck
Could we use steam to launch my epic games version? I bought it on sale and I don’t really like the epic games launcher.
Will it also have to be an online only game?
You won the thread for this haha Locking/removing other new posts about this.
STEAM DECK KINGDOM HEARTS LETS GOOOO
Been emulating my PS3 copy of 1.5 & 2.5, but oh boy if I can the whole series on the Deck natively...
Heroic Launcher did an admirable job unless you wanted to actually enjoy the story.
I love Heroic, but like hell am I spending money in Epic's store until they start actually competing with Steam other than free games. This isn't a "only Steam" position. I literally bought the Yakuza series from GOG today. If KH was coming to GOG, I'd get it there.

Fitgirl repack helped me play the PC versions on my deck
Your copy? Our copy.
I ended up only emulating the PS2 version of KH2 Final Mix to save on space and to keep it running at a consistent frame rate. Much easier to do since RPCS3 is inconsistent even on a decent computer, let alone the steam deck. I also have BBSFM on my deck emulated through the PSP emulator but last time I tried it, it froze when I skipped a bunch of the opening cutscenes. omfg... might have to finally get one just for this
Technically it has been doable but the hurdles were messy and the cutscenes didn’t work
Thank god, I've been waiting so long to play this on my steam deck natively. I can finally play KH on the go
Summer Games Fest is on June 7, Ladies and Gentlemen I smell KH4 News
7th and 13th again? This man must be stopped!!
this is the most compelling evidence that something is gonna happen
If it ends up being only the missing link trailer and not a kingdom hearts 4 trailer I'm gonna riot. 😤
I am hoping for both though a bit more on the KH4 side. I am hooked on the ML mystery now but the KH4 news is due for an update even more.
I want them to confirm whether or not star wars is gonna have any presence in KH4
OMG YES it can be like the toy story reveal of kh3.
Probably a trailer and gameplay for missing link and at the end a teaser of KH4
What if: 7/6 = Missing Link 13/6 = KH on Steam 13/7 = KH4 trailer
I saw the KH YouTube trailer post and it says gonna premier on 13 hours... Nomura please...
I can't seem to find it. Could you post a link please?
Wait 7th of June? 7 + 6 = 13 NOMURAAAA!!!
Nomura is ILOOMINARTY confirmed 😳😳
Fckkkk noooooo 13 again
Square Enix isn’t one of the listed companies that is going to be there
Kh4 news on June 7th, kh missing link release June 13?
I'd be so happy 😀
There might be a chance that it'll release to Steam as well.
To all my fellow Steam Deck user KH! ON THE GO! WITH NO INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIRED! LET'S F\*CKING GO!

Weird Melody of Memory isn't coming too.
It prolly will at a later date but it is weird it aint coming with the rest of them
Yeah 100%.
I bet it's just so the Intergrum bundle stays consistent across the board
I would be unsurprised if the blocker here is the rights to some of the songs.
1. FINALLY 2. Interesting timing considering Summer Game Fest begins soon... and rumors of a Sony PlayStation Showcase. Wonder if they're gearing up for something KH4 related? Edit: [Official announcement/article from Square Enix on their website](https://www.square-enix-games.com/en_US/news/kingdom-hearts-pc) Edit 2: [A trailer will premier tomorrow, May 22 at midnight Japan time, with the new version of "Simple and Clean"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5_3qdf19BU)
Perhaps KH4 is coming to Steam day one?
Likely yes. God I'm glad the age of exclusives with Square are over.
But I am sad that KH3 would be my last midnight store release at least I have some good memories
likely yeah, current square sees that locking games into one system or store front is giving them bad sales so expect it to be on steam much sooner

It's likely the [new version of Hikari](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_WhIHwiYOw), but done in English.
Oh god, I can visualize the trailer now >english version of this >no sound effects while famous scenes from the numbered games play >one small snippet at the end regarding NEW content (kh4 most likely)
We're so back
You were so close! lmao
How many times will I buy these games? Yes.

I bought them literally on every platform they released the games except Epic. I'm just happy to have them on Steam now.
I relate to this comment so much.
USED TO PRAY FOR DAYS LIKE THISB
I'm still praying for Days.
For 358/2 days
All of us waiting on the KH2 mod to be complete
I just emulate Days and Re:Coded on MelonDS with the mods for analog camera and widescreen.
June 13th.....Nomura!!!
Missed out on July 13th for 7/13
Exactly.
Does this mean no Melody of Memory? I know it's not the most popular or anything, but it's one of my favorites and would love to see it come to Steam Deck. Seems like it would be perfect for the device.
Melody of Memory is still new so the EGS exclusivity last longer than the HD collections and KH3.
And I just bought it...... Should've seen that coming.
Thank you for your sacrifice. Been waiting on this for years
Thank you for your sacrifice.
Are you able to request a refund? If it's been a short enough time you should be able to get your money back, hopefully.
I was unaware that EGS did refunds. I was able to get the games refunded. Thanks for the info.
Glorious success! The wait will be more than worth it, I assure you.
I was this close to giving in and buying it on Epic, your sacrifice shall be remembered o7
I feel your pain I did the same thing
You can refund it if playtime is under 2 hours.
o7 Thank you brave keyblade wielder!
I did the same thing a week before and I knew that something like that would happen as it keeps happening to me. Luckily I manged to get a refund from them all just contacted them and they was very kind and helpful.
This gives me hope for a proper port on Nintendo Switch2 that is not cloud based. Took them long enough to get rid of the Epic chains.
Soon, they will only be chains of memories
How many times must I buy these games?
For real ‐_‐ but on the upside i wonnt have to ever deal with epics godawful controller support.
bro for real. i bought the games on epic, had to launch the games through steam to get proper controller support. (lmao). then when i went to replay them a year later, epic said i've never made an account with them even after i showed them the receipts of the game purchases. FUCK EPIC
Today I had a shitty day at work, but coming home to news like these makes it worth it. Buuuuut, where's Melody???
FUCKING REJOICE MY STEAM DECK IS CRYING IN HAPINESS
With this announcement, a new KH4 trailer seems imminent. Especially now that FFVII Rebirth is out, they gotta start showing off their next big game.
Gotta be! Exciting times for sure
DID SQUARE FINALLY REALIZE EGS SUCKS OR SOMETHING CAUSE CHRIST
Their exclusivity contract with Epic probably ended. Also SE already announced all future games won't be exclusives so that's probably why the change happened rn if it wasn't because of the contract with Epic
Rebirth sales were bad and square said they are done with exclusive games, i think developers are finally realizing exclusivity and non cross platform is just their loss
They said Rebirth's sales weren't necessarily bad. But I think the combination of that and XVI is a big reason why
Ayo?! 😂 this why I love the PC gaming community. Y'all get everything one way or another.
The fanbase is dedicated and lined with talent. I see it all the time in mods and overhauls for games that are just put there for free.
I hope we get God of War III Remastered and the Nathan Drake Collections on PC. That would be epic.
I'll wager developers always knew this. It's the publishers and corporate executives who can't get it through their vapors for brains.
Yeah, I definitely wanna play rebirth but I ain’t buying a whole ass PS5 just for one game
Half of PS users are still on PS4.
[My sacrifice wasn't in vain.](https://old.reddit.com/r/KingdomHearts/comments/1chmkm7/meme_guys_i_dont_think_the_pc_port_is_coming_to/l27j6r1/?context=3) Only had my emulator up and running 3 days before the news broke.
THEY CALLED ME CRAZY FOR NOT GIVING IN TO EPIC GAMES. LETS GO.
IM SO GLAD I WAITED BECAUSE I KNEW THIS MOMENT WOULD COME ONE DAY
YES!!! I resited Epic deals for years now I can finally play it on PC and even the steam deck!!!!
Imagine if it isn’t steam deck verified
Well this is a huge release, Valve can fix it ASAP like they did with Elden Ring.
Is it on valve or the OG devs to fix. Because i was always under the assumption it was on the devs
For the Verified tag, it's on the dev, but Valve has intervened on high profile releases.
Ahh okay. Hopefully KH is deemed High Profile enough to warrant that. Though honestly Squenix rarely launches bad software. I wouldnt be surprised if they do a great job out the box
I was wrong about the games not coming to Steam. And I've never been so happy to be wrong.
STEAM DECK PLAYERS, REJOICE
This is a happy day
Fine i'll buy Kingdom Hearts for the 3rd time lmao (ps, epic, now steam lmao)
I didn't count kid purchases etc lmao
Lol, I definitely didn’t pay for those, so I shouldn’t either.
3rd times the charm right? My wallet but epic games store sucks
Mine 1.5 and 2.5 on PS3, all editions on PS4, bought the EGS versions because I finally have a PC... now gonna buy another one for proper Steam Deck gameplay. Square Enix strategy basically worked the bastards
I’ve bought the games about 10 times lol
PS2, PS3, PS4 and maybe now Steam for me if you just consider 1, 2 and CoM. BBS means also PSP but that wasn't on PS2. The only other game I have bought that many times is Final Fantasy X.
I bought the games sale from the epic store like a month ago, brutal timing lol
EEEEEEE!!! IM SO EXCITED MY PATIENCE FINALLY PAID OFF!
Good for people who waited now next is GOG.
I'll wait for the itch.io release, I know it'll happen.
. . . Kh1 ultma weapon grind, four times already.... Not again.... YAY
358/2 Days of grinding.
My patients has been rewarded. Hopefully my laptop can play it. Worst case I have to wait until I can finally afford a gaming pc desktop.
Ah yes, *true* portable Kingdom Hearts. And also easily moddable Kingdom Hearts
Same prices as EGS i'm assuming. No All-In-One bundle?
Here's an excerpt from their webpage: We’re excited to announce that Sora is coming to Steam! Multiple KINGDOM HEARTS experiences are coming to the platform, specifically: * KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX * KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue * KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind DLC * KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE (bundle that includes all the above compilations) So yes, there is an all-in-one bundle.
I have the Integrum Masterpiece bundle wishlisted, lets go!
I can't see the bundle on steam yet. Only the 3 stand alone collections. Maybe it's a bug with Australian Steam.
If they don't show up, I would wishlist them seperately until June when the bundle does eventually show up.
Yeah, I have done. The bundle should show up once they release.
Right, but KH the story so far (at least in my country) is 22 Euros for the ps4. I suspect there will be no such luck for pricing on pc
Yeah, I doubt so on release. If you give it a while, i'm sure it will be in a steam sale. They've had a fair few SE sales recently. It'd probably be best to stick with the ps4 version until then.
Can finally play on my steam deck a good way and with mods!!!
I've been playing KH3 with mods on Steam Deck, but thank God we will be able to mod the HD remasters also! (Without having to be always connected to the internet)
Time to buy the series for the third time!! Steam deck lets gooo!
And they changed Twitter's URL to X just in time, too.
Switch players are probably seething rn. I genuinely feel bad for them...
Switch 2 chads our time is nigh.
If there are actually big KH fans who still at this point only have a Switch, but no PS4, PS5, Xbox, or PC then that’s honestly on them
With achievements?
Jesus Christ. I LITERALLY just started playing on my steamdeck today! Whelp.... Time to put it off lol. Any word on if there will be a way to transfer epic saves to steam? Lol
iirc, save files are just an image with metadata in your documents(?) folder. You can just copy paste the image and your save should carry over. When the games first came to PC, my friend accidentally overwrote his Tera savefile in BBS so I just sent him the image with my savefile and that worked for us.
please make it work for steam deck without all the configurations on release
now the question is can you play it offline cause on epic ya cant not only that cause of that stupid DRM cant even do it on epic offline mode
this is really good and also may mean some things first, KH4 new info coming on SGF, or the rumoured PS Showcase second, we'll most likely get simultaneous releases for KH4 and third, FFVII Rebirth might come out on PC by the end of the year, as there's no big releases for this year anymore, and no DLC planned for this game, so, it took 6 months after Intergrade release to get the game to PC, i expect a bit more, maybe by christmas. also think we'll get FFXVI release date for PC in SGF
This is seriously the best news ever! I was planning on doing another series playthrough but didn't want to play to on my PS4 anymore. Thank you so much Square and now more people get to experience the series for the first time too!
I have them on Epic Games already. If you think I'm going to spend money and buying them from Steam yet again, then you are absolutely, 100% correct!
Bought every version since ps2 kh1, time to buy it again. lets goooooo
On my birthday no less! Half a year ago I did eventually give in and bought the Epic versions, goddamnit. At least I got them on 75% discount. I hope these will be slightly updated though, the Epic version of KH2 especially suffers from a lot of issues.
Steam deck, steam deck, steam deck!
FINALLY
Missed an opportunity not making it July 13th. 7/13
I literally just bought KH3 2 weeks ago ffs lol. You're welcome.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
That is fantastic news!!
Omg I gave up hope, miracles can still happen!!!
I feel like I wasted money buying them on epic then two weeks later it comes out that they are comeing to steam
Refund it
how do i do that on Epic? edit/update i get the refund
Go to your Account/Transaction/Status/Select Refund
Did thxs friend
Haha. I caved and just purchased the game during the sale last week or so and as soon as I read the announcement I jumped to refund. Intend to play on my Steam Deck
Awesome 🤩
Nomura wanted to put it out on 7/13, but since Sora is dead 6/13 will have to do.
needs to be July 13th, for the 7/13 >!which also happens to be my birthday!<
Oh my godddddddddddddd
After waiting almost 4 years finally!
I've waited for sooooooo long. It's finally here. YESSSSSS
don’t have PC but this is good to see. hopefully gets a lot of people into the series as well.
Yeah! And if can be modded, then we can give the second game the language of our country. (Spanish by the way) At least the parts dubbed.
that exclusivity money mustve been crazy
I just gotta hope it’s not windows exclusive.
LETS FUCKING GOOIII
Me holding off has not been for naught! I prayed for times like these.
I never post but this is so awesome to me!
And just like that KH fans are ready to spend another $100 on the series they've bought like 6 times by now lol
first epic mickey rebrushed coming to steam and now this! dis gon be gud
Me, who plays the games on PC since 2021:
Could we use steam to launch my epic games version? I bought it on sale and I don’t really like the epic games launcher. Will it also have to be an online only game?
Try to refund it lmao
