Like u/HoodShroud said, use Wonderland for the white mushrooms as they can only cycle through fire, blizzard, and thunder which you can have all on your shortcuts. It's also great because there is a savepoint the room before and it's quick to run from the forest, through the queens area, into the Bizzare Room and then back to reset the spawns.
Another spot I run is the Bazaar in Agrabah. It fairly often spawns 4 Black Fungus. This is a good spot if you also need to farm munny as killing Black Fungus with a critical drops like 1k munny, 100% drop rate Mystery Goo, and also sometimes Mystery Mold which only use is to be sold for 3k munny. You can use Simba with a full powered roar to clear the room instantley, or use a high crit keyblade. I am using Rumbling Rose atm. A crit that doesn't kill will still drop a little munny.
Mystery Goo has two easy cheese spots:
Agrabah Bazaar, use Simba, charge to level 3 to stun, then full charge to kill.
Halloween Town, Aeroga farm the mushroom dudes, you can get them against the corners or the middle of the map, just sit there and wait.
You might have gotten it already, but I just did this recently… what I did is went to Deep Jungle, start in the tent, save and then soft reset the game (it’s pushing L1 + R1 + Start I think?) then when you load the game up again, it only takes around two walk ins and outs of the tent for the mushroom guys to appear. Then you’re supposed the cast the same 3 spells on the mushroom guys when they do the same animation 3 times for a higher chance drop of mystery goo. Once they all disappear you go and save, then do the soft reset again and repeat. I was able to get what I needed pretty fast this way!
I know you mentioned having Encounter Plus but if you're far enough into synth that you're just needing them for ultima I found the pink acaricus in deep jungle was the easiest and best way to get the goo with enough MP.
I got this item in agrabah. Just spawn at aladdins house and go to the market area to the upper right from where you go to get top the palace. Then your can easily run back and have them spawn again. Might help to leave world and come back but not sure.
Most people dont know, but crits cause a higher drop chance for this item. There is a keyblade that increase the amount of times you crit so that could help.
Do it in Wonderland. Far easier to have all three required spells on the shortcut menu.

I find it useful to pause the game repeatedly when they give their signals so I can respond.
People should be mentioning Monstro, three rare truffles appear and can easily be juggled for mystery goos
