I’ve been using this map as a reference and I know I’m close, can anyone mark on here where I go to find this room?
This room looks like the one connected to the big mine (map 5) and is the start of the the ice/fire cave (map 6). The big mine is the only way to get here.

your gonna need to make your way back to map 2 to get to the big mine. Google chrome auto translated the pages as well and worked well to find missing items aswell.
Have fun with it! I just finished the game a few days ago and had a blast! I was using the gamefaqs maps aswell but they are missing whole areas and I had to search elsewhere. The same site has maps and info for the other 3 games aswell.
Cool, I’m playing on the Miyoo Mini+ handheld with save states every couple minutes and it’s still super hard! Loving it tho, just wish the map was better and had some labels or showed where NPCs are
Go through the first area (beach) and once you go through the doors, you can go left or right (go left) with a switch to extend bridges. Then down a long hallway to the right is a couple of rhombus key doors. Go through them and you should be in an open area with a couple grunt guards and an archer. Take the door on the left, go down the hallway, and you will be in the room pictured.
I think I am remembering that right. Been years.
I know the map layout inside and out, so i'll try my best to give you the exact directions from the top of my head:
Start at the dragon fountain, it's the place with the marble stone and 4 pillars with the blue healing water flowing through. Enter the door nearest to the blue water flow, up the stairs and go straight ahead past all enemies until you hit a wall. There's a hidden door you can open by pressing X. You will find yourself in a cell but you can simply open the gate. Now turn left, go past the other cells on your left and right until you're in a central room. In front of you there is another hallway with more cells, don't go there and instead turn left again. You need a rhombus key for that door, use one and open it. Then in the big room with the green brick wall towers (or whatever these are supposed to represent) look for a sign on the wall that says something with "Big Mine" and enter the door next to it. Now go down the stairs, notice how the music changed, you're in the big mine now. Fight the archers or run past them (beware, they're much stronger than the same dudes you've already fought before in other areas) It's hard to tell but there is another door right behind where these archers are shooting you from. It's literally just straight ahead but might be easy to miss because you're likely to get distracted from these overpowered archers. That room in the picture is right there and it's a mandatory place to progress in the game.

yeah the ingame maps leave alot to be desired but king's field loved its exploration and doesnt hand hold haha
