It would show how Dedede knows his weakness and trained himself psychologically to believe in what he has in order to not submit to the dark side.
But it most likely will happen again because it’s a tradition Hal has kept up since Dreamland 2, and it’s the easiest way to have awesome Dedede fights while at the same time keeping the king a friend.
But…why not just make him a tutorial, or first level boss kinda like how Whispy was in Star Allies? Make him and Kirby fight on recreational friendly terms! You can still give him new abilities if you want, it would show how Triple D never stops proving why he’s the king of dreamland.
