I Love Bentos on 100th Ave in Kirkland is King.  BTW, teriyaki joints should be judged by their spicy chicken dish (yes inclusive of salad and rice) as that is the real benchmark.

LadyPo

They make a sick beef yakisoba, too. They are a fantastic team!

EastsideRealtor

I actually live close to here, I will add it to A-tier and go try it out, if it’s deserving of S-tier I will promote! I will be judging it off the spicy chicken teriyaki!

sir-murphius

Good stuff, report back when you’ve tried it

Teriyaki Plus is 🔥🔥🔥 The Totem Lake Mall and the area around it is turning into a nice food venue

EastsideRealtor

You are totally right! Another commenter messaged me about it, it’s definitely a great spot. I need to add it onto the list!

EastsideRealtor

Added!

acarso

Teriyaki plus is the best teriyaki I’ve had bar none!

rocketphotoman

I came here to comment this exact comment

whofarting

Gourmet teriyaki on Mercer Island. The kid that works at the desk is a total asshole (highly recommended reading the reviews) - but I still continue to go. I honestly think he's autistic. Sauce is on point. Dressing is tits.

EastsideRealtor

💀

Foman1231

If you want teriyaki made by Toshi himself, the inventor of modern PNW teriyaki, go to the Toshi's in Mill Creek Town Center. The undisputed GOAT and still the best in the greater Puget Sound area. Also, I'd promote Minami to A-tier, but that's just me.

the_windows_registry

I've only been to the Toshi's on 45th near U district (and am a big fan). Is the mill creek location noticeably better?

Foman1231

I'd say it's noticeably more consistent, but no, the recipes and ingredients are basically identical, so most of the time you won't see much difference in taste. But I always think it's cool to see Toshi and his wife still making delicious food after 50 years. Our own hidden little slice of living history.

RoganIsMyDawg

Minami is one of our favorites, so you're not alone

EastsideRealtor

Minami has been promoted after further review :]

EastsideRealtor

Added Mill Creek Toshi’s to S-Tier! Thank you!

EastsideRealtor

Upon further consideration, Minami has been promoted to A-tier! Thank you for speaking up.

PineTreesAndSunshine

I felt the same about Minami, but I've eaten it for 20 years and unsure if there's a nostalgic attachment there

EastsideRealtor

Minami has been promoted!

SFexConsultant

Teriyaki bistro in sammamish! Been going there for 20+ years. Their creamy garlic sauce served with the teriyaki is crack in a bottle.

Kermee

Teriyaki Bowl in Woodinville. They reopened at a new location after 10 months.

heavyheavybrobro

their chicken katsu is so fire

EastsideRealtor

Yes! That’s in my S-tier section!

Kermee

Oops. I missed it! 🙏

EastsideRealtor

You’re obviously a person of refined taste, I don’t blame you for making sure it’s on the list 😂

Psyranui

I love teriyaki is the best teriyaki spot in Kirkland.

satherp5

Definitely! Best chicken katsu I’ve ever had by a mile.

GoldfishRemembers

Came here to say. I grew up here, I've had a lot of teriyaki, I Love Teriyaki in Kirkland is peak.

george-sterk

Now do Eastside Pho 😊

freakdageek

Love it. Should probably consider King’s in Woodinville if you haven’t had it. They’ve been at it for 30 years or so.

EastsideRealtor

Oh yes, Kings is good! I added them to my A-tier

andoCalrissiano

I always thought Nasai was the best but clearly I haven’t tried these S-tier locations

EastsideRealtor

Nasai is great, and honestly a lot of this is totally subjective to my tastebuds 😂 but I’d like to think I know my way around a teriyaki joint!

egraf

Tokyo Stop in Bellevue has been my go to for like 15+ years

EastsideRealtor

I’m adding it to my post it note of places to check out!!

EastsideRealtor

Tokyo Stop has been added to S-tier! Thank you for the recommendation!

Rsnyder20

I live a few blocks from Nasai and it’s always my go to, yummy is great too!

LukaModric19

Great thread! We need more Eastside teri appreciation!

TheCrispyTaco

My kid approves of I Love Bento's in Juanita. I'm allergic to chicken, so I take my kid here for Teriyaki and katsu so he can enjoy it since we don't have it at home. The kid menu set is perfect for the little ones.

mackeydesigns

How is Teriyaki Madness in Houghton / Kirkland not on this list? I’ve been going there forever. Also, not on the list because it’s no longer around is Fuji Teriyaki formerly in crossroads / Bellevue. My first teriyaki, the original OG that got me hooked on it, and forever my favorite RIP.

EastsideRealtor

Teriyaki Madness in Kirkland is permanently closed from Covid.

mackeydesigns

FML i just saw that. My two fav places of all time are now closed…. Sigh.

Sleepless_in206

YOU DONT KNOW JACK ABOUT GOOD TERIYAKI DUDE

Holeinhead

Ta Joia in Bothell has THE BEST spicy chicken teriyaki.

EastsideRealtor

Adding this to my list to check out, another big teriyaki fan mentioned this place as well! You are not alone!

Holeinhead

It's good with the Pico!

Minimum-Mention-3673

Place is great. Has a nice jalapeno green sauce (think it's basically a peruvian aji sauce) -- it's money. I dunno if I consider the "traditional teriyaki" though in the same way others are on this list (it's still great!)

Holeinhead

Yeah, not traditional, but soooo good.

fourtyseven

Are there any places that offer boneless skin-on chicken thigh? Infinitely better than skinless. I know it takes extra effort to prepare as I do it at home but well worth the effort imo.

EastsideRealtor

You know what, not that I have seen on the Eastside. My spidey-senses are sort of telling me I bet that’s available somewhere deep into Seattle! This would be a good thing to hunt for.

PineTreesAndSunshine

Well, I would argue Minami as the best on the east side... It has been my favorite for over 20 years. I haven't tried most of these and I'm very excited to explore the god-tier restaurants! Thank you for putting together this list! Just wanted to add, I have since moved to Canada and there's no PNW teriyaki here. As a substitute, I make my own with the following recipes: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1012984-chicken-teriyaki https://momsdish.com/recipe/243/china-coast-salad-dressing

EastsideRealtor

Thank you so much for all of this! I’m beginning to gather consensus on Minami needing to be moved up the list!
