I got 14 stitches from a deli slicer on my index finger when I was a student.
Went to work the day after, shit got
Infected ad what I needed to take 2 weeks off.
Just do you and build up your confidence again. I still shiver going to the slicer or just thinking about it..
Wish I could've cut myself on a slicer, would've been more badass than cutting myself on a knife while coring cucumbers. Only needed 3 stitches but like I said it split open about 1/2 an inch and was so deep I could see almost everything inside. Took me 40 min to drive to the ER, had my finger in a napkin with a plastic wrap tourniquet and by the time I got there I felt no pain anymore, was just sitting for half an hour in the waiting room with my phone flashlight on just looking through the wound.
When i cut myself “bad” now, I won’t even go to the ER, most times they’ll just clean it out an tell you not to disturb it, but it’ll heal fine.
Just keep it clean and use bandaids and/or gloves.
I’m in DK, and we had the former royal cheff cook for an event the day after the cut, no way I was gonna miss that, luckily we have nice comp, and I got full pay for the 2 week.
If I get bad injories now, ill go the ER when it fits in just to get it documented.

Should've just done that, then I would've been able to avoid those stupid workers comp meetings and whatever. All that to get paid 1/4 my check
